Imagine Creator!Reader chucking Primogems at their faves, said fave dodging it and they get another character instead.
Now imagine them manifesting in front of said fave/character they desperately want and squishing their cheeks because they won't come home.
For Example-
Me to Keqing, the only standard banner character I haven't gotten:
Tumblr media
Yes I'm building all of them, I recently got Tighnari and Dehya-

Calling Monstadt girls your girls ~
Tumblr media
↳˳;; ❝ CALLING THE MONDSTADT GIRLS YOUR GOOD GIRLS ᵕ̈೫˚∗
Mondstadt girls x Creator!Reader
Eula, Rosaria, Jean, Lisa, Amber, Mona & Sucrose
Eula - May the gentle breeze softly send thee into a sweet sleep.
"Come closer, sit in my lap Eula..." she hesitates, unsure if she heard you right. Unsure if she is even allowed to get any closer to you. But nonetheless, her body moves on its own. "As you wish, my grace"
There is no hesitation anymore as Eula makes her way to you and finally settles in your lap, not uttering a word. She merely stares up/down at your face, not daring to look away or even blink. For her, this is the best place she can be. "Good girl, you listen so well"
A whine rumbles from deep within her chest. She is breathless under your touch. It takes every ounce of restraint she has to remain in place instead of leaning back into your hands. She shifts in your lap, only wanting to be a little closer. The hands you had placed onto her soft thighs aren't any help either. It only heats her up even more. Eula has forgotten how to speak. She seems utterly mesmerized by your touch, unable to do anything but whimper, moan, and purr. She is utterly submissive to you. Her eyes glaze over in sheer desire to be in your presence.
She doesn't question anything. She simply enjoys this moment. "Say Eula, are you my good girl?"
"Y-Yes, Your Grace. Yes!" Her voice is hoarse. Her breathing is strained. Her entire body trembles from the sheer thrill of being held by you. She leans back, finally giving in to her own wants and leans into your touch. "I didn't hear you, please, say it again, for me, hm?"
"Yes! Yes, I'm your good girl!" Eula seems positively delirious. She barely seems to be able to speak in the way that anyone else would deem 'proper.' She leans back, resting with her head in the crook of your neck.
"Good... girl...," she mumbles, seemingly unable to think of how to form words that might please you most. Her eyes glaze over. All this worship has put her in a trance.
"Your good girl...yours"
Rosaria - Do not fear your past, and do not be scared to come to grips with it
While Rosaria is a woman of pride who often insists on taking her own path, when she comes within a hundred miles of you, this attitude evaporates like morning mist upon contact with the sun. She could not care less for her own ideas when she is under your light, and she will follow you wherever you lead. And for a moment, she will seem content with you as her purpose.
"Sit in my lap" If you order her to, then she has no choice but to sit in your lap. She will wrap an arm around your waist, the other running the fingers of her index finger and thumb along the line of your neck.
As she presses her body against yours, she is aware of every sensation. Her heart beats quick, her breath quickens, and her entire body glows with heat. It is as if she is experiencing being truly alive for the first time.
"Good girl, hm?" "Yes, i am," she promises, her eyes drifting shut. She is completely at ease, no longer wracked with pain or weighed down by memories of what has passed. There is only you, and the fact that she feels at home whenever she sits in your lap. Rosarias arm tightens against you as she looks up at you, eyes full of worship.
"I'm your good girl." Her lips brush over the nape of your neck, her breath making your very skin tingle with pleasure. Her soft fingers trail across your skin, her hand drifting over your collar.
"You're mine," she whispers seductively. "I'm yours." It's as if all the restraint she ever held within melts away with each word she whispers to you.
"Only mine, only yours"
Jean - Dandelion, Dandelion, ride the wind to a faraway land.
Jean raises her head at your command, and moves to be closer to you. There's absolutely no hesitation on her actions, but her heart is hammering in her chest, the thuds of her pulse loud in her ears.
Her gaze is locked on yours, the emotions rising up inside, a maelstrom of heat and longing.
"Jean, my dear, please take a seat" She does as you ask, climbing onto your lap as you instruct. Her face flushes a deeper shade of red, but she says nothing. Her gaze is on your hands as you stroke her hair with care. Her breathing is ragged, the air in her lungs going stale from how tight she is gripping herself.
"I know you are stressing yourself with work again, so I want my good boy to relax a little"
"Yes," she whispers, but her heartbeat quickens even more at your touch. Jean doesn't feel like she can relax. She cannot fathom anything being enough for a moment like this. Her head leans forward against your body, and her eyes close as your fingers comb through her honey-blonde hair. "My good girl, always so hardworking..."
She shivers at your touch, leaning back further still. The emotions in her are like a wild storm of her powers, but she dares not move for fear of losing the comfort of your hands. "Yes," she says once more. Her eyes are closed, her heart hammering in her chest as you call her "good girl"
Her face is flushed a deep red by the sheer realization, good girl
Lisa - Such a calming breeze... Perfect for taking a nap, don't you think?
"Please, take a seat" Lisa looks startled for a moment, but her expression quickly warms up. "Of course. Your wish is my sole command." There is truth in that statement, even if it's a tad exaggerated. The woman can be a bit of a drama queen at times. When she makes eye contact with you, there is a spark. She moves over to you without hesitation, her hair blowing slightly in the draft.
This is certainly a... unique position to be in. You can feel the warmth exuding from her soft body. Shes got a strong presence, and it's hard not to be affected by the energy radiating from her. Lisa is practically purring in your lap, the tips of her hair tickling against your neck. Her hand brushes against your waist, almost instinctively.
"Tell me Lisa, are you my good girl?" "I am, Your Grace~" she replies instantly, and her tone is as sincere as it is eager. She is in your lap, after all. She can't help but be her most devoted for you. "I will always be your good girl, until the end." Her voice is hoarse, and she shifts her body slightly to be closer to yours. Her eyes are bright.
"Good...you better be" you chuckle at this, it was meant as a little joke. Lisa smiles at you, like a contented puppy. "Anything for you, my dear." She leans forward just enough to touch her lips against your cheek. Her body feels so warm and she smells so familiar.
"Your good girl would never deny you"
Amber - Outrider Amber reporting for duty! Just say the word if you ever need my help!
"Amber, I'm glad you're back. Please, come here" "Y-Yes, my grace" Amber replies in a voice no louder than a whisper. Completely the opposite of her usual tone. Her brown hair bounces as she moves, but she remains focused on you; moving slowly as to not surprise you with her haste. Each step is calculated, made with caution.
She waits to be within your vicinity, and then to your command. "Now that you're here, take a seat" you say while tapping your hands gently on your thighs, a sign for her to have it as her seat. Amber does not hesitate in her movement as your command is given. Her body is moving before the thought has even settled in her mind, as her body knows exactly what you want from her.
She lowers herself onto your lap, and she rests her weight against you. Her body is light, but it is only because her muscles have already gone slack under the weight of your gaze. (I mean excuse me but this girl seriously has to have some muscles with her abilities---)
"That's my good girl" In response, Amber's lips curve into a faint smile. Though she knows her position is humble, she is satisfied by it. Your praise only further fills her with a sense of contentedness, and she leans her weight against your chest, enjoying being close to you once more.
"Hmmm, such a good girl" Amber closes her eyes with a soft whine of relief. When you play with her hair, it has more of an effect on her than she wishes to admit. Her body leans into your touch.
"Yes, such a good girl..." she's in trace.
Mona - Fate is called as such, for it cannot be changed, nor can it be reversed. It can only but be accepted.
Your gaze is intimidating. It burns into her very soul, and she cannot shake the sense of dread she feels. But instead of faltering, she presses down all emotion.
Mona will be exactly who you want her to be.She looks away, bowing her head and looking to the ground. Her cheeks are warm. Her ears are burning. She is so terribly close to you. And soon she will even be closer...
"Sit in my lap"
She does so without hesitation. She doesn't know why, but she does. Its like every embarrassment she felt was gone with the words you said. Every ounce of her feels like it's on fire. The heat radiating from your body is overwhelming. But she does not flinch away. She does not squirm at your touch. She is entirely still as she sits in your lap.
She does not look at you. If she did, she would faint.
"Good girl, listening so well"
"Yes," she says, her voice quivering slightly. Her eyes are locked onto her hands "I-" she swallows audibly, "I'm your good girl"
She is shaking, though she still does not move. Mona remains completely still. She will not cause you discomfort. Your comfort comes before her own. Although you would never agree by this.
"Yours" she says again.
Sucrose - My Vision is my most important research tool.
"Come here, sit beside me" Sucrose does not move. "Wh-what do you want from me?" She asks, her words edged with nervousness. There is a part of her that desperately wants to rush over to you as any good little servant would. But something seems to hold her back, as though a leash were around her neck.
Her eyes dart back and forth quickly. She is clearly trying to think of an excuse to not cross the room.
"It's for research" you try to lurr her in, and it seems to work. Slowly, ever so slowly, Sucrose stands up. And then, like a puppet on strings, she starts to walk towards you. Her stride is purposeful, and his gaze is fixed ahead. Despite her face— unsure but determined — you can see her fingers trembling ever-so-slightly.
The closer she gets to you, the more she appears to be losing self-control over herself.
"Such a good girl you are" she's never been called a 'good girl' before. Yes, Albedo did praise her for her researches, but never once did his praise put her into a state of dizziness as yours. But you can tell that being praised this way has left her feeling elated and surprised.
"H-huh?" She turns her head to look up at you, and as soon as she looks into your eyes, she's frozen. In a moment, all of her previous questions are gone. The only thing she knows now is how to look up at you and be loyal to you. She waits patiently for your next command, her body tense yet eager to please.
Sucroses mouth goes agape and her body trembles, as though she's overwhelmed with every word you speak. Being called "your good girl" and being praised in this way, it's almost too much for her to comprehend. Her breath catches in her throat and she looks away, seemingly embarrassed.
"I-i hope my reaction was pleasing for your...research..."

You know, I've been thinking. The stars in our world often look quite dim, especially in areas where there is light pollution. Suddenly, I'm imagining that in the Imposter!AU, the Creator looks at the stars at night, captivated by their brilliance. Perhaps Scaramouche or Mona (Whichever you prefer, you may also just write another character you think fits this scenario :D) find them. The Creator looks at them, then back at the stars.
"They're very lovely, you know? The stars never shine this brightly back home. It's a lovely sight..."
They smile. "I'm happy that I'm able to see them, even if it's in another world. I appreciate you letting me look at them before I die."
Perhaps the character takes pause... And sits next to them.
It's a lovely night.
in the stars
word count: ~1k
-> warnings: violence, blood, both of those in your future so technically you’re not hurt yet, not written for mona mains, sorry, didn’t work with the plot :/ also diona/klee/qiqi/nahida/sayu mains are on thin ice with this one. questionable plot. barely edited.

the stars never lie.
mona clutches her catalyst to her chest, wide eyes turned to the sky. she whispers to them, hoping they’ll change, shift into something she’ll understand, anything.
they don’t.
her head lowers, inspecting the book. thrilling tales, the spine reads, the cover a simplified dragon with a sword through it. she tries to read into it, to try and pick apart the motives behind the weapon, but all it returns is a simple needlepoint.
a compass. one she’d followed ever since she caved into the pull on her catalyst, one she’d followed out of the city at dusk and into the plains, hiking up starsnatch cliff at its behest. her twin tails had lost some of their curl on the journey, her hat flopping sadly. it was late, later than she’d normally be awake, and she stumbled once on a rock before quickly catching herself, checking to make sure you hadn’t moved.
you, sat at the peak of the cliff. you, surrounded by cecelias, face turned to the stars. you, who turned at her short cry.
“are you alright?”
she couldn’t bring her hands to shift her catalyst into its attack position. her hands, free from their usual gloves, dug into the cover of the book, shaking both with the chill of night and with… she couldn’t tell, couldn’t pin whether it was fear or nervousness, or something else that blurred the line between panic and excitement.
“just fine, thank you.”
her voice was harsher than it should have been. she could tell you were being genuine, the way the water in the air shaped around you like it wanted to cling made that clear enough, the stars shining down on you as if you were the only being on the planet.
the stars never lie. so why were they saying you meant no harm?
you turned back to the stars, your hands shifting back to weave into the grass between the cecelias.
"they’re very lovely tonight. the stars, i mean. they never shine this brightly back home….” against her better judgement, mona glanced up. the sky was particularly clear, constellations shining down unhindered. “it’s a beautiful sight.”
orders from the knights echoed in mona’s head, orders extended from a god she’d never met. she knew the knights wholeheartedly meant what they said, truly believing the words they were told, but you…
hesitantly, she brought her hand in a circle in front of her, scrying for your constellation. you didn’t have one, unsurprisingly, and she relaxed slightly in the knowledge that you didn’t have a vision.. still, there was something strange about the empty space where yours would have been. swapping the sigils and rotating the outer edge, mona decided to read your future.
all the air was sucked from her lungs, the images depicted in the water making her mouth dry. the water warped and bubbled a dark color, as if it itself hated to show what it did.
you were on your knees, tight steel chains wrapped around you and latched onto hooks in whatever you were sitting on. in front of you stood the favored, the creator’s most prized, their weapon drawn. their form was taught with anger, nearly seething. it was strange, so uncharacteristic that it froze the astrologist in place for a moment.
no matter how fiery the disposition, vessels of yours were calmer after being wished upon, heart stiller for being by your side. they, the most prominent on your team of them all, should be at most handling such a severe situation with a tick in their jaw and quiet fury in their eyes, not…
she watched with sick horror as the favored attacks once, your chest caving once, twice with hitched attempts at breathing before you slumped over, blood trickling from your neck. the favored stepped back, weapon dismissed, and mona closed the illusion before it played any further. she hadn’t meant to look all the way to your death, only a few-
…only a few hours.
her hands shake where they’re still clasped in front of her, the remains of her scrying circle swirling in her palms. you didn’t even have a day.
she let the water fall, sending it towards the cecelias around you, willing them to stand brighter as she approached. she couldn’t bring herself to summon her catalyst, not now that she knew what your fate held.
the grass was damp beneath her, seeping slightly into her nightclothes. you didn’t say anything, simply passing her a flower that you had been twirling in your palms. she willed it to heal, restored the color to its petals and the strength to its stem, then passed it back. she had no use for it, not when you…
you chuckled as you took it, staring down at it for a moment before turning skyward once more. mona followed your eyes up, spotting a well known constellation directly above you. nearly perfectly straight up, glowing like a beacon, was the constellation of the favored, six stars making themselves prominent against the dotted sea of night.
“beautiful, isn’t it?”
she swallowed, eyes flicking down to you. you were still watching the stars, probably tracing the shape of the constellation above you. unknowing of what it spelled for your fate, unknowing of the warning written above you.
mona settled into the grass a little more, taking her hat off her head so it wouldn’t fall when she looked up again.
“indeed, it is.”

Genshin Isekai Headcanons
These can be sagau, but they don't have to be.
Tumblr media
• Xinyan is stoked that you love her music, and is excited when you offer to play her some music from your world, but she's confused by some of the lyrics. She understands metaphorical lyrics, like the person described in the song isn't actually a rocket, but some of them don't make sense or feel like they were added just to fill a void. Aside from that, she kinda wants to perform some of these songs, now if only she had some band members.
• Tartaglia doesn't have much to say about the guns of your world. The pyro and hydro fatui agents already use guns of some kind, and the cryo fatui agent uses, um. What would you call an ice based flamethrower? No, what he's interested in is the immense amount of new weapons that Teyvat doesn't have, or they probably do, and we just don't hear about them. Like chain blades, I don't know what else to call them, essentially a flail, but instead of a mace, it's blade. I would write something about axes, but I feel like saving that for my crossover series. A scythe is often seen as a special lance, but you tell him that it's much more complicated than that specifically pointing out the blade, and depending on your own skill, you give him a demonstration. He is way too excited to learn all of these new weapons, like a kid excited about a new toy, you can't help but smile.
• Baizhu is perplexed when he first prescribes medicine to you, as you give him a list of allergies, if any, and are more than willing to go through proper examination to learn how resistant your body is to certain toxins. He's even more surprised when you tell him that his unique practice is actually common in your world, so that's why you don't bat an eye at potentially poisonous ingredients.
• Bennett is rather surprised. When you hang out, his bad luck seems to go away. It's actually just you using a bit of foresight, like checking the date on a flyer before rushing to a sale that had already ended, but seeing that glimmer in his eyes, you decide to let his imagination roam.
• You and Cyno are reference lords. You two reference everything, Cyno, his favorite book or book series, and you, your favorite media source. Now, if only people actually understood them, and yes, you do quote Yu-Gi-Oh when playing Genius Invokation.
• If you're an artist, then you quickly catch Albedo's attention. When he sees your drawings, he is quick to ask what you used as a muse, and your answer will have great impact on his reaction. If you point to an object or animal, his response will be normal. If you draw from memory though, he is astounded, especially if what you drew was a scene of some kind, with people, animals, or what have you. Drawing all that from memory is incredible. If you say it's something you made up, he'll compare it to when he's commissioned for his own art.
• Depending on your own interests, you'll be interacting with several different characters. I can't think of anything in depth for these few, so here's a general basis. Barbara is relieved that you're so open to different views. She knows how cruel people can be when they're closed-minded, and she's happy to teach you about the Church of Favonius and Barbatos. Noelle was lamenting not being a knight yet, which led you to bring up the seven chivalric virtues. Yae Miko and Xingqiu are very interested in the stories of your world. Xingqiu hoping to learn more about your worlds code of chivalry, but he ends up learning about justice's different forms. Yae is simply searching for new inspiration. She often calls on you when her old nemesis, writers block, appears. Nahida takes interest in you right away, wanting to gain knowledge from your world, and you seem fun. She knows better than anyone how dangerous knowledge can be, so she asks you to omit potentially dangerous subjects.
• Mona was shocked when you said that you only wanted to know the bad stuff coming your way, not that she could help you, with you being an outworlder and all. When she asked why, you told her "It's best to be prepared for all the bad coming your way, and if you know all the good coming your way, it takes away from life's natural wonder." Which was promptly followed by you asking "Where did that come from?"
___________________________________________
I'm thinking making more of that last one, like " Characters reaction to reader who is randomly philosophical" might need to work on the title a bit. Also, as stated above, these can be sagau, but can also be normal isekai, so I'll use both tags so they can be found more easily

⠀‣ Albedo
About The Creator: Learning
"It is quite unfortunate they don't remember anything about their past life and how they created everything in this world, I would have a few questions to ask...but learning about them is still interesting, especially how they seem to affect me, for exemple I get distracted by them during my work, but not because they are beside me, it's because they aren't."
About The Creator: Consort
"You seem rather surprised, it's true that I have troubles in finding time for socializing, but it doesn't feel difficult with them, as it was almost a natural thing that we were simply meant to be, that's why I accepted their proposal, to investigate this feeling that warm my body even in the coldest place of Dragonspine... Anyway, do you want to see my sketches of them? I don't know why but I'm not able to catch their full beauty, maybe you could help me."
⠀‣ Amber
About The Creator
"You know, when I first heard about Y/n, I thought they were super serious and all but when I met them they were nice to talk to! We passed so much time talking and I even taught them how to glide! But I couldn't shake the feeling that they must felt so lonely... people view them as their God and so they are either scared or don't think they are worthy to talk to Y/n. I can't help but feel sad, I'm happy to have them as a friend and to be one for them too!"
⠀‣ Barbara
About The Creator
"I was so happy to learn our Creator finally descended, even during my first concert I didn't feel so anxious to sing in front of someone.. Oh, they're so kind too! They always tell me to relax around them and they compliment my singing, telling me it's healing their soul! Ah... I feel like my heart is going to burst because of how joyful I am!"
⠀‣ Bennett
About The Creator
"Oh, they're like a super important person here, so much so that I don't have the right to approach them. I was surprised when they sneak out to go talk to me, they're always telling me to take care and wish me luck, that doesn't help my luck at all but I appreciate the worry!"
⠀‣ Diluc
About The Creator: Traditions
"My late father was a firm believer, teaching me and Kaeya the traditions and to always thank The Creator for the good things like the bad ones because they make us stronger. I still do both."
About The Creator: Consort
"You heard the news? I should have expect that... I wish that our relationship was kept more private. I heard that I was... 'overprotective', and frankly.. I do not care what others say, this world is dangerous, danger can come from anywhere, especially when their name is known all around Teyvat. They always worry about me and my night activities, asking me to just drop it for one night, to the point of threatening me with the silent treatment. Let's just say being worried over each others is how we work, but people can't mind their own business... That's why I didn't want people to know."
⠀‣ Diona
About The Creator
"They're nice, they even wanted to help me to destroy the wine industry, but I had to fire them because not only they attracted more customers to the Cat's tail, everyone was being delusional and asked for more of their drink! Hmp, I kind of miss them rubbing my ears though... Y-You heard nothing!!"
⠀‣ Eula
About The Creator
"It's a custom of the Lawrence Clan to worship its Creator as they were the one to bless us with nobility, so I have to address them with my utmost respect, however they always tell me to just 'relax' and 'drop the act', I shall make them pay to tell how a Lawrence should behave! But to be honest, I'm not so sure if I can since they are the God we worship, nobody in the Clan planned a rule for this occasion.."
⠀‣ Fischl & Oz
About The Creator
"Fate was sealed when the holy name fell to the soon blessed land to greet the one bereft of sins, both born in this universe from the sea of stars with The Knowledge which the infinity is powerless to conceal, and yet, I, Prinzessin der Verurteilung cannot comprehend the absolute truth for the disciples of this world, as I can only hear the sound of darkness produced by its light.
What does she means is that she thinks The Creator is worth of her friendship and would like to know them more, but their way of speaking with their 'slangs', are quite difficult to understand."
⠀‣ Jean
About The Creator: Work
"I understand it might be overwhelming for them, that's why I'm trying to manage their schedule and reassure them. I know they told me to take a rest for a while but I can't help but be concerned, I only wish for them to be confortable and free from worry."
About The Creator: Consort
"We've been close for quite some time, I truly felt touched when they asked me, it's quite embarrassing to say but I was lost for words, and I don't usually loose my composure... But I was happy to accept their proposal, they're someone I can turn to when I need to, they do bring me comfort, I hope they think the same thing about me... Sorry, I get a bit distracted when talking about them."
⠀‣ Kaeya
About The Creator: First Impression
"Oh... so you've heard about The Great Creator of Teyvat, have you met them yet? I'm sure you'd like them, their personality don't quite match their title, but don't worry, you're not going to be disappointed."
About The Creator: Consort
"You want to know more about me being a consort? Don't you think it's a bit inappropriate... Hehe, I'm just teasing you, I have to admit they caught me off guard when they proposed to me, but how could I say no to such an adorable face, they're so cute when they're shy, very fun to tease. Oh, if you excuse me, I have to meet them for some... private stuff..."
⠀‣ Klee
About The Creator
"Y/n is the best! We do fireworks together, it's less fun than fish blasting but it's so pretty... They also take care of me sometimes with Albedo, it's so fun when we're the three together!"
⠀‣ Lisa
About The Creator
"We've been on a few dates together, for book recommendations obviously, haha. They wanted to know more about their past life, unfortunately there is so little about The Creator in the library. I have to say the way they're portrayed in the books isn't as endearing as the real version."
⠀‣ Mona
About The Creator
"Asking me to look at their destiny is like asking me to look at the constellation of a constellation... The Creator is the stars themselves and everything that exists in this world. Hydromancy is a simple magic trick compared to their power, but they seemed to have lost it with their memory too. Do you know how much Mora some Acolytes offered me to show The Creator their past?! Of course I didn't accept but that was a beautiful thought to imagine..."
⠀‣ Noelle
About The Creator
"Once I was helping them to search an object, it took us the whole day but we finally found it, I proposed my help if they had any other troubles and they told me I didn't have to do that but I told that made me happy that I could help them. And after that, they looked a bit down, maybe it's because they aren't use to people helping them out of kindness, but because of their important position we gave them, so as asual I wanted to help by cheering them up and that is how we became friends."
⠀‣ Razor
About The Creator
"Hm, Cre-ator? I don't know them... Y/n? Yes, they're nice and kind, very kind. My lupical also likes their smell."
⠀‣ Rosaria
About The Creator
"Since they came back, there has been more work for the sisters, making sure to welcome them every time they visit Mondstadt, new choirs and prayers to learn, urg... Though I have to say it's quite a funny sight to see them just as bored in those neverending ceremonies as me."
⠀‣ Sucrose
About The Creator
"Oh yes, they're an interesting person, I wanted to observe them, o-of course not without their agreement, but I was afraid to ask... However, Mr. Albedo told me to go and talk to them because he needed to investigate about something, he wanted to see how someone else is affected when talking to The Creator. I'm not sure what conclusion I needed to draw but I discovered they were really nice and told me I shouldn't be afraid of talking to them more... Ah, I hope we can have another chance to discuss together again."
⠀‣ Venti
About The Creator: Songs
"Ah, yes, many people in Mondstadt believe in them, that's why I dedicated multiple songs about them and the wonderful land they created! Those really help me when I don't have enough money to pay... Ehe~"
About The Creator: Consort
"It's always a delight to hear people talking about our union, they're such a wonderful partner, how lucky I am! I still write many songs about them, just a different type this time and they're more personal. But I can write thousands of lyrics with the most beautiful words and somehow it will never be enough to demonstrate my love... Hmm... I like this topic! If you want we can talk more about them over a drink, or perhaps I can show you my new poem for them."

Thunderstruck
I haven't had this happen to me yet, but I wondered how your acolytes would react if the power went out in the Creator's house because of a lightning strike.
Just, a normal day of Genshin, your acolytes are doing commissions and fighting bosses. They hear some thunder from the Creator's realm but don't really think of it too much.
Then, out of nowhere-
Bzt
That was all your acolytes hear before all connection with the Creator cuts off. Your voice can't be heard anymore, your presence is no longer in Teyvat. Chaos immediately begins to erupt from each region.
Civilians believe that the Creator has abandoned them, acolytes think that a powerful dark entity may have somehow killed their Creator. Offerings of sorrow are given, cries for war against an unknown foe are wailed, and order tries to maintain control.
Sasra Kujou and Heizou, two of the Creator's most favored acolytes, try to calm the residents of Inazuma. Together, they offer other explanations for their Grace's disappearance. Perhaps the vessel the Creator uses to connect to Teyvat had simply ran out of power or the Creator had something urgent to do in their realm and didn't have the time to say goodbye before leaving.
Mona and Layla both turn to the stars, hoping that they'll provide an answer to this mystery. But with the Creator's disappearance, even the stars themselves are in disarray, only offering confusing and conflicting readings to the astrologists.
Albedo, on the other hand, turns to the physical body. While the Knights maintain order in the city, he goes around to each acolyte, asking if they felt anything strange symptoms before the disconnection. Perhaps, he reasons, if there was a common symptom, the root cause will be ousted soon after.
After a few days of utter confusion, the Creator reconnects. People celebrate the return of their Grace's presence, while their Grace is completely baffled as to why there's so many materials and primogems sitting in their mail inbox.
"Did the lightning strike glitch out the game? Eh, it's free primos, I'm not gonna complain."
Every acolyte in Inazuma turn to the Shogun.
Shortly after, a device is created so that the Shogun can somewhat bridge the gap between realms; using her influence over Electro to divert lightning bolts away from the Creator's residence, so that such a occurrence will never happen again.

Hi! I hope this ask goes through, my asks often seem to not go through for some reason, but I have request!
Can you please please please write more flirty, villian, creator!reader? The concept is amazing and I love it
I would be the most delighted to do this.
Part 1 [Mondstadt]
~`•°☆★☆★☆★☆★☆°•`~
The colors of who is talking will be based on the elements. Although for dendro and anemo, both will be green but Anemo is bolder. Same with cryo and hydro. Ex: Anemo Dendro. Cryo hydro
And your talking thingy is bold.
And also for the traveler ima use they/them because your traveler could be lumine or aether. So idk.
Note: Sorry if you wanted to continue the thing, Ima just do a separate one. Because that post was a flop. I bet you won't read the whole thing and read without skipping a line, MWAHAHAH >:]
Spoilers for this post, the dead people are gonna be revived because I say so. This is gonna be a happy day, alright. I ain't using angst to ruin it
——
The traveler always faced many dangers, hilichurls, mechanics, a dragon, to a false God.
But nothing compared to you. It felt like their soul was quivering. Every time they went into a nation, they always felt eyes on them. They waited for you to make a move to attack them, but it never came. Why were you watching them?
In every region, there was always a commission where this flirty imposter was running around making a mess. This was the only commission they couldn't do. They could never catch you! And even if you were there, talking to them. You somehow escape from their grasp. Just what are you? Who are you.
They only knew you were just a kind of imposter of Teyvat Creator. There was always a bounty on your head in each nation! Even a village has one. Every time they asked the archons, they just looked away, flustered, and didn't even answer the question. Always changing the subject and when they do awnser, the archons always say that you are a trouble maker. Of course, beside Nahida. The things she said about you didn't really match up with other people, said.
"I had no thoughts of them being bad. Even now, when I meet them. They always bring me flowers and share interesting stories, even from other worlds. They visited me even when I was imprisoned. They were the only thing that kept me not giving up on hope."
Nahida says while smiling.
"They always play with me and swing with me. They aren't bad. Although they are full with mysteries.......why you say traveler? Well, I tried finding information with irminsul, but the only information about them were locked up."
Now the traveler was more cunfused. Irminsul has little information about you, but it was locked? He looked around for more, but when he did, his view of you changed. The citizens who told you were horrible but did many wrong things. Which in the end when they found out, were arrested. The citizens who didn't do any wrongs told them many great things from you.
They decided to go to each nation and stay for a few weeks and see what you do to see if there was a pattern so they could meet you. First was Mondstadt. They were sitting at the usual place while paimon was ordering.
Until they saw Kaeya and Diluc coming towards them. Were they...talking without fighting?
"Hello traveler, mind if we join you? Of course we'll be paying for our own meals."
Then the traveler saw Venti coming along, asking the same thing. Surprisingly, he had mora to pay, unlike for his drinks—
The traveler agreed to let them join, and they started ordering too. Although some people might not have noticed but their ears were red. Why?
Flashback:
"Kaeya, get out. Im already closed.."
"Aww, come on, Diluc! Just one more, hm? And plus, technically, you aren't. Just close to."
(Close to making Diluc beating your ass—)
*ding* [bell from the door rang]
Diluc and kaeya turned their head to see a person with a strange looking cloak on?
"Well, who do we have here? You look quite suspicious, don't you think?" Kaeya chuckles as he looks at you."
"Yeah, yeah. I do, but I can assure you, I am no threat." You put your hands in the air and waved as a sign that you mean no danger.
Diluc just scowled at you and just continued to clean the glass.
"Hmm, can I have a dandelion wine? Also, some grape juice to go?"
Diluc just looked at you dumb founded. But still did the drink for to go even though he's supposed to be closed. He put the grape juice in a bottle and then gave you dandelion wine. You paid him in a bag of mora, then you asked if you could see how much mora does Venti owed him. Diluc just looks at you, then said the price. Was quite high, but you still paid. He was cunfused and asked why you were paying for that drunkard bard.
You just shrugged. Kaeya jokingly asked you to pay for him, too. But you actually did. He was baffled. He looked away in a different direction and continued drinking. It was quiet but not really awkward, more peaceful than awkward. Diluc was annoyed at you two for flirting with each other, but Kaeya got the most flustered <3 although...Diluc felt something he thought he would never feel for you, a stranger. Jealously
hours later,,
(Yes, I know quite well about Diluc because I know as heck he will kick kaeya and you out if you stayed for more hours.)
Kaeya was absolutely drunk. You continued paying for him to drink, and he didn't want to be rude, so he just continued drinking, drinking, and drinking....just how many mora do you have?!
Diluc mentally slapped his forehead but enjoyed this little scene. At least he could enjoy knowing that kaeya would get scolded and have a very bad headache. You put something in his pockets, and Diluc quickly grabbed your wrist. He asked you what you put in Kaeya's pockets with a glare that could scare a soldier off. You took it out, and he examined it. It seems like it was just hangout medicine. He gave it back and quietly apologized.
You continued talking to him but then kaeya woke up. You always saw a wall between their relationship, and you want to break it, so you did. You may or may not have used magic to make Kaeya say some things. You excused yourself and got out. You leaned onto the wall and waited.
*20-30 minutes later*
You finally peeked inside and saw them hugging, kaeya sobbing and Diluc tearing up. You smiled and tried to walk out until you saw Venti. He was drunk, don't know how.
You heard Diluc opening the door. You quickly picked up Venti and hid somewhere.
Diluc has Kaeya arm over him as he drags him to his house. You watched them go, although you flinched as Venti squeezed your chest. [I know, in the sagau idea, he slapped your ass. But I'm ain't doing it]
You looked at him as he giggled. He definitely drank too much. You thought.
"Ehe....why don't you join me~?"
You were holding back so much on your actions that were about to be done to this man. He tugged your clothing that was covering you to not alert anyone that you were the 'imposter'
You quickly got a room for him, and thank god no one was around because Venti almost got your disguise off. You gently put him on the bed. You looked back at his face and saw him flustered. You were cunfused. Why was he so red?
"I-....are we doing this right now?"
He looked away, blushing. Suddenly, it clicked.
he thought you were gonna *censored* him? (Pretend I didn't just say this, shshhhshsh)
He thought you were gonna 'sleep' with him?? You chuckled and tucked him to bed and softly ran your hand through his hair, slowly un-doing his braids. He became more flustered for thinking you were gonna do 'it' with him.
His eyes felt heavy as he slowly drifted to sleep. The next morning, he saw a letter and a bottle of hangout medicine. With a cup of water. He quickly drank down the medicine as his headache got better. He reads the paper,
Hello Venti
Please do not over drink, firstly because of your health and lastly you were so drunk and were clinging to me. I had to get you a room because you were trying to take my clothes off.
From your dear 'imposter'
He crumbled the paper and looked down, blushing hard. He remembers what he was thinking and doing. Although it felt nice and peaceful when you ran your hand through his hair...wait, what was he thinking?! You're the imposter for archon's sake!
He looked around and saw a bag of mora. There was a small paper that said "for venti"
I guess he appreciated the mora.....
*end of flashback*
The traveler had a nice talk with them as paimon just continued eating all the food.
Soon, the chat ended, and they said their goodbyes. He went to the church and wanted to see how things were there. They were surprised to see Amber, Jean, Barbara, Lisa, Noelle, and Eula. They decided to listen to their conversation while they gave Paimon some mora for her food.
"People are reporting to see the 'imposter' taking hillichurls into a portal, and this is getting out of hand. Does anyone know how to catch the 'imposter?'"
Everyone shook their head. Some lowered their head in shame and guilt. Jean sighed. Amber raised her hand,,
"Well, the last time we got reported by this, we went there and found a paper that seemed to be written by the 'imposter'. It said that they know we are trying to track them down and won't be successful. Also, they said that they are just taking to the abyss and getting rid of the curse.."
Jean nodded at the information.
"Did any of you...encounter anything strange, perhaps?"
"Hmm, now I think about it. People always kept losing the books, but lately, they've been returned nice and neat. I also remember that some of the lost books got one of the page ripped but the book got returned and that page was stitched back and with the 'imposter's' hand writing saying the exact thing on the page."
"My bunny got damaged and got lost into the ocean. When I came back, there was my bunny on the table, stitched up and all dry. There was also a paper heart."
"I heard a song/music with a humming similar to the 'imposter's' voice and when I went in, nothing was there. I only found the lyre was all patched and fixed as if nothing even scratched it!"
"I got injured in a battle, and when I woke up, I was patched up in a tent. I saw the 'imposter' standing before me, I tried attacking, but they disappeared into the air."
"I was also in a battle, I was about to get hit, but something blocked the attack, and the ruin guard was smashed into pieces."
"I see...is this perhaps the 'imposter's' doing? If yes, then why....what is their goal?"
Everyone asked what strange thing happened to Jean.
"Ah...well, i had to go somewhere, and when I went back to the office, my papers were all done correctly."
Jean looked away a little flustered. The traveler left since it was the end of the conversation they were eavesdropping to. Paimon came back feeling full from the food she ate. They both went to the forest and saw Bennett sitting without a scratch and Bennett was smiling so happily.
Paimon asked what Bennett was so happy about.
"Ah, me? Well, I think my bad luck is going away! No hilichurls were going after us at night, no tripping, no choking on food, and—"
Traveler was surprised at least since there was no offense. He literally has pretty much no good luck. After Bennett finished talking, he looked around and panicked. Paimon asked what was wrong, as Bennett explained Razor was missing. Fischl came back with some food and asked why you guys were panicking. Bennett quickly explained to her that Razor was missing, but she softly chuckled and pointed to the path.
"What do you mean? He's over there with this hooded person. Idk why, but their cloak look like it's vaporizing."
They went with fischl as she led them to the place. They see a person petting razor as he lays on their lap. The traveler knew this was the 'imposter' and tried to snatch Razor quickly, but Razor was un-willing and hugged the unknown person closer. As the traveler and the others saw the 'imposter' chuckled then turns into loud laughter. As Razor snuggled more onto the 'imposter'
They suddenly disappeared into thin air. Before the 'imposter' (you) left, he saw your strange cloak have an image of dragonspine. He quickly said their goodbyes to Bennett, fischl, and Razor. Paimon didn't want to go into the cold but gave the Traveler some warm food she bought and soon to be waiting in the room they rented.
They went to dragonspine at the path they saw Rosaria smiling....wait, smiling? Rosaria quickly saw the Traveler and fixed her posture. She walked away with an item.
[It was a hand warmer for her to use given by you. Explanation: she didn't really join the hunt to find you, so she just left you alone unless she was ordered/asked to hunt you down. While in dragonspine, she saw you and tried reaching to you yntil you stepped back. Then you gave her a bag then left. Although suspicious, she opened it, seeing a hand warmer and a letter saying it was for her, and you don't want her to catch a cold.]
Traveler continued walking the path, going into Albedo's lab. They see him and Klee as Albedo sits with klee as she drew something. The traveler greeted them with a smile as Albedo and Klee returned it. The traveler asked what was going on as Albedo explained that a mysterious person with a black cloak gave her a paper of how to build safety bombs. Klee ran to Albedo [big brother because I say so. It's now fan Canon, and I am proud of it. >:) ]
and Albedo is strangely not asking why.
[You are friends with him, heh. He knows you are the creator since you have already proven him, but honestly, you didn't know how. He never told anyone because he wants you for himself. You may or may have flirted with him, but he didn't understand—]
Anyway Traveler asked them if they had seen the 'imposter.' they said no. Traveler sighed, disappointed they went back to the room where Paimon is, welcoming them back. The traveler told Paimon there is one last place they could look for to find them.
The cat's tail. They went in and saw Diona almost in tears behind a person, the 'imposter.' You were defending her from this drunk guy
"I am this f—cking close to beating the sh—t out of you. Ugly a$$ mother fu—"
But your fingers were touching...yeah you made him go to the celestials, "infinity and beyond!"
Diona hugged the stranger (you) as you comforted her, giving some candy which she declined with a pout. You disappeared into air as the Traveler and Paimon tried to get closer.
"Dang it! We were so close!" [Paimon]
The traveler sighed as they asked if Diona was ok. She was but closed the cats tail. As the Traveler went outside, they saw Mona. They quickly ran to her and tiredly asked her to look into the 'imposter'. As Mona tried, she opened her eyes and fell down. Although there was strangely a pillow landing her impact of the fall. The Traveler asked what happened as Paimon began to panick. Mona quickly said that she couldn't reveal..seems like she knows something
The traveler went back to the room, disappointed. Suddenly a note fell through the opened window.
"Hello outlander Traveler.
I heard you are finding me, so I am here to tell you I am going to Liyue. I know you are wondering, "why is this bi— I mean 'imposter' telling me this?" Well I would like to play this little game with you of trying to catch me. I hope you succeed!
From 'imposter'
Welp. The next stop is Liyue!

I lost my 50/50 to Mona on Zhongli banner. I’m just like y/n fr lol
Then we both know the pain cause I was completely projecting in that scene. As soon as I pulled Mona, I put her on the team and made her jump off the jade chamber. When I pulled Zhongli I made him do the same thing.
They deserved it.

I saw someone call Diluc “motherless, fatherless and almost step-brotherless orphan ass” after losing to Diluc in the 50/50. Now I just wonder what are the character’s reactions to the creator jokingly insulting them after losing the 50/50, winning the 50/50 when they didn’t want to, or not getting the 4 star they wanted.
Absolute heartbreak. Completely shatters their excitement. Like, completely self esteem destruction. Mona is panicking, thinking she’s misread the stars, Jean feels guilty for trying to offer her help despite you not really needing it. Qiqi is trying really hard to not cry. Diluc is internally chasiting himself (and rather harshly.) Kequing has thrown herself back into her work to try to block out the fact that you didn’t want her help, but the results are… varied…
All in all, they all feel horrible.

For the character interaction event; I'd like to talk to Mona, my first 5 star, from the beginner banner, no less. "Thank you so much for lending your power during my journey throughout Teyvat. You are an irreplaceable friend of mine. And about what Scaramouche said? The sky is not a lie. You are not a lie. The stars guided me to you and all of my acolytes; you have your own dreams, sadness, hope, and love. And that is all real to me.
Thanks for the ask, anon! 💜
“Pfft, I never took that Harbinger’s words seriously anyways.” Mona scoffed, despite the glassy look in her eyes. “And of course everything would be real to you, anything else would be r-ridiculous…”
Her voice suddenly stopped, replaced with a single sniff.
“H-how shameful of me.” She muttered, half to herself, hastily wiping away tears threatening to fall.
“Your words are rather moving, Your Grace.” She said, still avoiding your gaze. “I… have also cherished our journey together.”
She seemed to brace herself, before her silver eyes made contact with yours. “The stars did not foretell you considering me as a friend.”
Her face flushed, her next words barely audible. “This is a welcome surprise.”

Chapter 7: The Deception of Freedom
Tumblr media
Summary: Separated from her friends and in a completely new environment, Cara must rely on a cast of new characters in order to survive the harsh conditions of Dragonspine. While the hunt continues, she gains a moment to read the mysterious book stolen from the library's restricted section so the secrets of the Creator can be revealed to her.
CONTENT WARNING: This chapter does contain mentions of vomit and the taking of blood using a needle. If these are things that are a TW for you, please read at your own risk! Enjoy the chapter! :)
Chapter 8 is here
Tumblr media
She was not in Monstadt.
That was the first thing Cara realized when she regained consciousness. As her eyes fluttered open and she was met with the sight of gentle snowfall drifting down from an overcast sky, she incoherently registered that she was not where she had previously been. The ice-kissed air stung her cheeks and left them numb and raw. A frigid winter wind was howling like a wolf; it was the only noise she could hear through the eerie quiet that was produced with the presence of snow. It didn’t take her long to realize that she was freezing. Her body was shivering profusely, and she could barely feel her limbs. A drowsy tiredness was tugging demandingly at her mind as it tried to pull her back into the jaws of sleep.
No. She couldn’t lose consciousness again, not in a place like this. Though her thoughts were jumbled and she could barely think straight, some part of her confused brain knew that if she fell asleep in this harsh environment, she would not wake up again. Cara forced her arms and legs to move, and she pushed herself to her feet.
She immediately regretted doing this. A sudden wave of nausea hit her like a truck with so much intensity, she staggered and nearly fell back over into the snow. Her stomach twisted and lurched. A burning sensation seized her throat, and before she knew it, she was bending over and vomiting. The vile stench of sickness filled the previously crisp air.
Cara gasped for breath when her stomach calmed and the horrible involuntary action was over. She wiped her mouth and turned away from the puddle of bile on the ground, disgusted. With clumsy, uncoordinated steps, she collapsed against the trunk of a nearby birch tree that was growing against the ruined remnants of an old stone wall. A teleport waypoint floated in front of her, giving off an inviting warmth that she could feel faintly and wanted oh-so-badly to press up against so she could combat the cold. She didn’t dare go near it, though, for fear that it might send her back into the vortex in which it had spit her out. This nausea from moving and the fact that she had just thrown up were surely products of using the waypoint as a means of travel.
She couldn’t think straight, and could no longer effectively move. All of her strength had been put into taking those few dizzying steps and then vomiting, and now it was all gone. Cara’s shivering was getting worse, and her eyes kept trying to droop shut on their own accord. She was tired, so very, very tired…it wasn’t a good idea, but maybe if she slept for a little while, she would manage to conserve her warmth…
A new sound joined the wailing wind: the crunching of boots flattening snow. Cara looked to her left and saw a path hugging the side of a mountain that towered over her like a great stone giant. Walking along it was the figure of a human being-at least, she thought it was a human being. She wasn’t sure what was real or a hallucination at this point, being that she knew staying out in the snow for a long time might cause her to begin to see things that weren’t really there. The stranger didn’t look like they were dressed for the harsh conditions in which they were traveling through. The only thing they were wearing that looked relatively warming was a long white coat decorated with black-and-gold lining.
They seemed so familiar, yet Cara couldn’t remember where she had exactly seen them before. She shrank against the birch tree’s trunk and kept as quiet as possible. She still vaguely recalled the reason as to why she was stuck in this frozen wasteland in the first place: Eula and her entourage of knights. This person could be an enemy and might kill her if they caught sight of her face. Somehow, between the time the teleport waypoint had brought her here to when she had woken up, her mask and wig had been thrown off of her head. She could see them now, lying in a snowbank, too far away for her to reach without giving herself away. If she was spotted, nothing would be able to protect her true identity.
Just keep quiet, she thought. Not that hard. The person won’t find you.
Indeed, it seemed like she was in the clear: the mysterious stranger walked obliviously by her, heading for a broken bridge that was supposed to connect the path to its other side beyond the yawning mouth of a wide cliff. She wondered how they expected to get across.
And then, to her absolute horror, her nose started to twitch. The cold was biting at it, and before she could stop herself, Cara sneezed. Loudly.
The person halted in their tracks. They slowly turned in her direction.
Fuck, Cara thought.
They saw her. It was impossible for them not to have. The stranger walked towards her briskly with a sense of urgency in their step. No doubt they thought she was a lost traveler dying in the snow. What would they think when they got closer and recognized the face of Monstadt’s most wanted?
The person stopped about three feet away from her, and Cara found herself making contact with the teal blue eyes of Albedo.
Both of them were completely still. Cara stared stupidly at him. Albedo stared back.
  “Hello,” he said.
Cara couldn’t stop her teeth from chattering. “Hi.”
His head inclined slightly towards the teleport waypoint, eyes glancing briefly at the mechanism before returning to her. “I didn’t notice any footprints on the path while I was walking. Did you use that teleport waypoint to get here?”
She couldn’t think of a good enough lie and submitted to telling him the truth. She nodded.
“I see,” Albedo said. His breath puffed out in front of his face like clouds of white smoke. Dragon’s Breath. “How fascinating. These devices predate the founding of Monstadt by 1,000 years, maybe even longer. The legends say they were created by one of the Nine Choirs, specifically Pahaliah, the Throne.”
Cara, not knowing in the least bit what he was talking about, made a noise of acknowledgment. Albedo studied her trembling form and seemed to notice her condition for the first time. “Ah, but this is no time for stories, though. You're obviously freezing, and Dragonspine is no place to be taking a nap. Here, let me take you back to my camp. We can get you warmed up there.”
He moved forward, and a sudden sense of momentary clarity overtook Cara. Albedo was Monstadt’s chief alchemist, and thus a direct contact to the Knights of Favonius. He could be an active member of the hunt; he could be one of the characters who wanted to kill her. There was no way she could trust him, and yet here she was, chilled to the bone and completely at his mercy. This might be the moment when he took out his sword and ended her life.
Mustering up a tiny amount of strength, she desperately scooted away from him, her breathing frantic and shallow as she stared at him in fear. Albedo paused, his eyes widening in surprise at her reaction, then softened. He slowly knelt down and held his hands up in a harmless gesture so as to not spook her again. “I’m not here to hurt you,” he murmured. “I just want to help. If we don’t stabilize your condition, you will surely suffer from an extreme case of frostbite. You are already experiencing symptoms of hypothermia. Uncontrolled shivering, shallow breaths, limited verbal and motor functions…if we allow this to continue, I have no doubt that you will die.”
She sniffed pathetically. Albedo extended his hand further towards her, and she was so cold, she couldn’t even flinch. “Will you let me help you?” he asked.
She knew the alchemist was telling the truth about her state of being. She could feel herself dying as they spoke, and knew that he was her only chance of survival right now. Yet, she wasn’t totally convinced that he didn’t mean her any harm. What was stopping him from taking her back to his camp and torturing her? What if this was all just a ruse so he could bring her to Monstadt City and hand her over to the knights?
“I can see your doubt,” Albedo said. “Let me put it this way. If I truly wanted you dead, I would have simply ignored you and kept walking after I noticed you. Me talking to you right now should be enough to convince you that I mean you no harm. So, please…trust me.”
He brought up valid points. Cara certainly didn’t want to die, and at this point, she really had no other option than to trust the man in front of her if she wanted to survive. After a fleeting beat of reluctance, she managed to dip her head in a small nod. Albedo noticed and smiled. “Thank you,” he said. “I promise I will carry you as carefully as possible.”
He gathered her into his arms, one of his hands supporting the small of her back while the other slipped beneath her knees. He picked her up with a surprising amount of strength: he wasn’t someone she had expected to be physically capable of carrying a grown adult. “You're so cold,” Albedo whispered.
He was so warm. Cara buried her face into his chest and sighed when she felt his body heat chase away the numbness in her cheeks. Her eyes closed on their own accord when he started to walk, and this time, she didn’t stop them.
“You can sleep,” Albedo mumbled. “Unconsciousness shouldn’t prove to be fatal anymore.”
She found herself believing him. Cara wasn’t about to object.
Tumblr media
“Is she going to wake up soon?”
“I’m not sure. It would be wise to let her sleep, though. She’s been through a lot.”
  “Who is she?”
“She’s…someone special. Remember the stories your mother told you? The one about the golden god?”
“Oh, yeah! Mommy talked a lot about the golden god. What did she call her again? Her Grace?”
“Yes, that’s correct. Her Grace is the mother of Teyvat, and this girl here may be her.”
“Wow! Is she really Teyvat’s mommy? That’s so cool! But why was Teyvat’s mommy lost in the snow? Wouldn’t Teyvat try to keep its mommy safe from the cold?”
“Teyvat abides by its own rules. Perhaps its strength is limited, and it couldn’t come to the rescue of its mother all on its own. Maybe it was by Teyvat’s hand that I came across her in the first place.”
Cara groaned, and the voices went silent. She sat up slowly and rubbed her head, having trouble registering where exactly she was.
“You're awake!” the higher-pitched of the two voices cried. Cara blinked open her eyes. She was sitting on a wooden cot with fluffy blankets wrapped tightly around her. Sitting by her side was an eager-eyed young girl with elf-like ears, wearing a cap and red coat. Her eyes sparkled with fascinated excitement.
  “Klee?” Cara croaked.
Klee gasped. “You know my name! Albedo, did you hear that? Her Grace knows my name!”
“Indeed she does.” Albedo was tending to a cooking pot not too far away. “Welcome back to the land of the living, Your Grace. How are you feeling?”
Cara tested her arms and legs. Everything was moving accordingly, and she hadn’t seemed to lose any body parts to frostbite. “Still a little cold,” she mumbled weakly. “My head hurts. Where…where are we?”
“We’re at my camp in Dragonspine. The place where I found you wasn’t far, so it was no trouble bringing you here. I recovered these two items that were lying near you, as well.” Albedo gestured to a nearby table where the wig and mask Fischl gave her were laid out. “I’m afraid to say that both of them are in quite bad shape, though. Apparently, traveling between teleport waypoints isn’t good for clothing.”
Cara looked down at her clothes and noticed how damp and tattered they were. She felt guilty when she thought about Uncle Elias, Razor, and Fischl; they had given her these items out of the goodwill of their hearts, and she had ruined them. I really am bad at keeping up with disguises, aren’t I?
Albedo walked over to her and held out a plate with neatly cut fruits and vegetables laid out upon it, as well as a wooden fork. “Here,” he said. “Eat. It’s infused with flaming essential oil, so it will warm you up.”
Cara accepted the fork and plate and tentatively took a bite from the food. A sweet, tender taste burst forth like a blooming flower on her taste buds, and she automatically hummed in approval. A welcoming warmth immediately filled her when she swallowed.
“How do you like it?” Albedo asked.
“It’s delicious,” she replied. “This has to be one of the tastiest dishes I’ve ever eaten.”
Albedo smiled. “I’m glad you like it. This dish happens to be my specialty. I wouldn’t say cooking is my strong suit, but when it comes to satisfying you, I seem to be better at it than usual.”
“Oh, oh, Your Grace!” Klee said eagerly. “You have to try my special dish sometime! I call it Fish-Flavored Toast! We can go fish blasting together to collect the ingredients, and I can show you how to throw a Jumpty Dumpty!”
Albedo cleared his throat. “Why won’t we let her rest for a little while, Klee? Her Grace has been through quite a lot in order to get here, and we don’t want to overwhelm her. How about you go and fetch Sucrose? She should be just outside the camp. I’m sure she would like to properly meet Her Grace, too.”
“Okay!” Klee hopped to her feet and adjusted her cap. “I’ll be back! It was so nice to finally meet you, Your Grace! I hope we can become even better friends than we are now!”
Cara watched her skip away. She took another bite from her food. “I wouldn’t mind going fish blasting with her.”
Albedo chuckled. “I’d recommend not indulging in those sorts of activities, unless you want to be put into solitary confinement with her by Jean.”
“I think Jean would rather kill me than simply put me into solitary confinement,” Cara grumbled.
“Indeed.” Albedo’s smile turned into a troubled frown. “You have no need to fear being discovered by the knights here. Rest assured that I meant what I said when I found you. You don’t have to fear me. I’m on your side.”
“So, you don’t think I’m the imposter of Teyvat’s creator god?”
“Well, yes and no. While I don’t believe you are an imposter with ill intentions, I am also not entirely sure you are the original Caratrice, either. The Acting Grand Master and a majority of the knights and their captains have been ordered by the Caratrice sitting on the Crossroads throne to have you captured and killed, and they are all too glad to follow those orders. Monstadt thinks you should be executed simply because of your face. I don’t, because I feel a sense of wholeness when I’m around you. It’s a wholeness I only feel when my status as a Vessel is being put into action, and I have never felt it anywhere else before. You carry the aura of the stars…so, I would like to study you, if you do not mind, to acquire the necessary information that will prove my thesis true.”
Cara was silent for a moment as she processed his words. “You…want to study me.”
  “Correct.”
“And I guess that also means you want to experiment on me, too?”
  “Also correct.”
“Okay.” She laughed deliriously and ran a shaking hand through her tousled hair. Being studied and experimented on by Albedo. I’m living every Genshin player’s dream right now. “Okay, just-just let me ask you a few questions. What about me do you want to study, exactly? Because I’m not so sure I want to be one of your subjects for experimentation.”
“That is a valid question, and I would be happy to answer,” Albedo replied. “The experiments I wish to conduct won’t harm you in any way. I only wish to see for myself if you are the real Caratrice or not.”
“Well, my name is Cara,” she told him. “Not Caratrice, just Cara.”
“Your name and the warmth you radiate are hardly enough evidence to confirm your divinity,” Albedo said. “Though they certainly are evidence, and I will regard them as such. I need further proof, and only then will I know for sure how deeply-rooted the corruption in Teyvat runs, if it exists at all.”
“Corruption?” Cara echoed. “What do you mean by that?”
Albedo glanced at the camp’s entrance, then leaned in closer. “Please, don’t repeat this to anyone,” he whispered. “But…I have a theory that not all in Teyvat is as it seems. There is something dark toiling beneath the surface, something that extends far beyond the work of the Abyss Order or any antagonistic mortal force. If you truly are Caratrice, then it will mean that this darkness is real. If you are an imposter…well, it would be bad news for you, but at least I would know I’m stressing over nothing.”
“I am not a god,” Cara insisted. “I’m just a regular human being stuck in a world that isn’t my own, and I want out. I’m sorry that you think I’m Caratrice, but I don’t know what else to say at this point.”
“Hm. You’ve convinced yourself that you are nothing special. Judging by the look in your eyes, you’ve said this sort of thing before. Now I am all the more curious to see if you are truly a god.” Albedo sat down beside her. “I can help you find the answers you seek regarding your identity. So, I’ll ask again. May I study you? I promise I won’t do anything that will endanger your life.”
Cara sighed. “If I say yes, what do you plan on doing to me?”
“I would like to take a sample of your blood, for starters,” Albedo answered. “Plenty of legends about Caratrice say her blood is made of gold, and I want to see if your blood fits those legends. I would also like to study your fighting skills and see if there are any signs of elemental manipulation that you can manifest without the assistance of a Vision. Since Caratrice is the mother of Teyvat, it would only be logical for her to have full control over the seven elements, no?”
“I can tell you the answer to that without an experiment,” Cara said. “I can’t control the elements. But…I think I do have a connection to the wind.”
“The wind?” Albedo inquired with a tilt of his head. “May I ask you to elaborate?”
“The first time the Knights of Favonius tried to kill me, I only managed to escape because I got a boost of speed. I could feel the wind pressing against my back and legs to make me run faster. It was to the point where the people chasing me thought I was using an Anemo Vision to fly.”
“I heard about that,” Albedo said. “A few weeks ago, a couple of members of the 4th Company paid me a visit. They questioned me about if I had seen you in Dragonspine, and one of the knights mentioned that he did indeed see you flying. Have there been any other occurrences of this sort of phenomenon?”
“Yeah, actually. A friend and I sneaked into the restricted section of the Monstadt library to steal a book. While I was looking around, the air seemed to come to life and directed me to a specific one. I never would have found it if it hadn’t guided me.”
“I see. This is definitely valuable evidence. I would say that the wind is indeed alive, being that it is an extension of Teyvat, which is said to have a free will to act upon in necessary moments. We should find a way to test this connection so we can see just how strong it is. You haven’t been in our world for very long, so it would be natural for your connection to Teyvat to be relatively weak. However, the fact that the wind has been speaking to you and helping you in times of crisis is compelling, and we may find a way to strengthen that connection…hold on. Did you say you sneaked into the library’s restricted section to steal a book? What could you have possibly done that for? I’m surprised Lisa didn’t try to stop you.”
“Oh, trust me, Lisa didn’t have to. Eula already had that covered.” Cara brought out her backpack and took out the stolen book. “This book will apparently tell me how to get back to my own world.”
Albedo held out his hand. “May I?” he asked.
Cara shrugged and gave the book to him. Albedo studied the cover with intense scrutiny and occasionally glanced at Cara’s face. “Your eyes match the color of the dragon’s,” he mumbled. “And your connection to the stars and the sky is so strong…your draconic attributes are already beginning to manifest. Tell me, have you felt any considerable aching near your shoulder blades? Have your teeth grown any sharper? I don’t see any feathers anywhere, but those could appear with due time…”
“What the hell are you going on about?” Cara asked. “What are you saying?”
Albedo tapped the book’s cover. “I’m saying that you are-or could be-this dragon. Caratrice is a six-winged wyvern who wields the power to command every single element in Teyvat. From the depictions I have seen of her in a human form, you are an uncanny resemblance.”
  Cara stared at him.
  “Huh?” she said disbelievingly.
Before Albedo could continue, there was a commotion outside of the camp. Klee came bounding back in with a mousy green-haired girl in tow. “Big brother, Your Grace, I’m back with Sucrose!” she sang. “She’s so excited to meet you! Go on, Sucrose, say hi to the Creator!”
Sucrose shrank back behind Klee and ducked her head. Her voice was barely audible when she spoke. “U-Um, Klee, I really don’t know how to act around new people.”
“It’s okay, Sucrose, don’t be scared. Her Grace is super nice! Big brother saved her from freezing in the snow, and she complimented his cooking!” Klee hauled her forward. The bio-alchemist desperately dug her heels into the ground and mumbled excuse after excuse in an attempt to get away, but it was all in vain. For a young child, Klee was incredibly strong, and she easily propped Sucrose in front of Cara’s cot. “Your Grace, you know Sucrose, right? She’s a Vessel too! I’ve seen you travel with her sometimes, so I know you two are friends!”
Sucrose stuttered and covered her face. “Y-Your Grace, p-please forgive me for intruding upon your holy presence so suddenly. I-I didn’t want to, I-I-”
“Sucrose,” Cara interrupted. She reached out and grasped the other girl’s wrists to gently pull her hands down. “My name is Cara. Please don’t call me Her Grace. I’m just a regular person, and I’m really happy to meet you.”
Sucrose stared at her, her terror morphing into shock. “You're happy to meet… me?”
“Of course I am. Why wouldn’t I?” Cara answered. “I’m even happier to see that you don’t want to kill me. I was afraid that if we ever crossed paths, you would try to wipe me off the face of the earth the moment you saw me.”
“Oh, no, never!” Sucrose shook her head. “I don’t agree at all with what the Acting Grand Master is doing! I-I mean, I really don’t know much about what is happening within the Knights of Favonius exactly…Archons know I would never have the courage to ask Master Jean personally…b-but still, it’s just wrong to hurt someone because of their face! And-and you are the real Creator, so if anything, the knights are the real heretics for hunting you!” She covered her mouth and let out a horrified gasp. Um…p-please don’t tell Master Jean I said that.”
“Don’t worry, I won’t. I don’t think I’ll be talking to Jean any time soon.”
“Right. Neither will I.” Sucrose smiled softly, now much more relaxed, then looked at Albedo. “Mr. Albedo, Klee told me that you wanted to see me? Is it, um, is it about Her Grace-I mean, C-Cara here?”
“Yes.” Albedo nodded. “If Cara is willing, I would like to have a sample of her blood taken.”
Cara paled. “Do we have to have that done?”
“No, not if it makes you uncomfortable,” he replied. “But if you are okay with it, I would be very appreciative. It wouldn’t be a large amount, just enough to run it through some tests.”
Cara hesitated. She knew her blood was golden now, but she had no idea as to exactly why it had become that way. Could her blood possibly have some magical properties? Was there a way she could use it to get back home? Or was it just a dramatic change of color as an attribute of her supposed newfound divinity?
Albedo seemed to sense her hesitation. “You are allowed to say no. Do not feel pressured to do something you aren’t okay with.”
“No, no, it’s fine.” She forced the words out of her mouth. “It’ll, um, it’ll be quick, right? You’ll just take one vial?”
“One vial is all we need,” Albedo answered.
  “Okay. Okay, fine.”
Sucrose hurried over to a work table, and when she returned to Cara’s side, she was holding a needle attached to a thin tube on one end and a vial on the other, as well as a piece of cloth and another vial filled with a light blue liquid. Her heart started to hammer when the bio-alchemist settled down next to her and held the needle up. “The needle has been prepared for use,” Sucrose explained. “I was planning on using it to extract some blood from a hilichurl, but this is a much more important matter. May I see your arm?”
Cara didn’t move. Albedo noticed that something wasn’t quite right. “Do you not like the sight of blood?” he asked.
“No, it’s not that,” she answered. “I just really don’t like needles.”
“You can hold my hand, if you want,” he offered. He held it out to her; she gladly took it. Albedo’s hand was warm, and it was a welcoming source of comfort as she stared at the needle Sucrose held.
Sucrose showed her the vial of blue liquid. “This is extract from a Cryo Slime,” she said. “It will numb the area of skin where I will take the blood to limit the pain you will feel, so don’t be alarmed when I apply it to you.”
Cara couldn’t take her gaze off of the needle. “Right. Got it.”
“Mommy always tells me that talking is a good way to distract you from things that hurt,” Klee said. “So while Sucrose takes your blood, I’ll tell you about some things I know! Let’s see…oh! Have you ever met Dodoco, Cara?”
“No, I haven’t,” Cara replied. Sucrose took her left arm and uncapped the filled vial. She poured a small amount of the extract over the inside of her elbow and rubbed it in. A chill settled over the area, and soon, Cara lost all feeling in that specific part of skin.
“Well, Dodoco is my oldest and bestest friend! Now that I’ve introduced you, don’t forget her name, alright? A lot of people call Dodoco “that silly doll Klee always hangs on her rucksack.” That’s not even true! Dodoco isn’t a doll at all!”
“I’ll be sure to remember her name, I promise.” Cara’s breath hitched when Sucrose tied the white cloth tightly around her bicep. Albedo soothingly traced the knuckles of her hand with his thumb. She took one glance at the needle approaching the blue of her cephalic vein and turned away, closing her eyes and holding her breath.
A sharp pain pricked through her skin, but was quickly conquered by the numbing effect of the Cryo slime extract. Cara squeezed Albedo’s hand and focused on her own breathing. She felt Klee place a tiny hand on her knee, another source of reassurance.
“Just a little more…and, done.” Sucrose removed the needle and quickly untied the cloth from her bicep to retie it around the puncture spot. Cara heard a gasp leave her lips. “Oh my Archons!”
When Cara opened her eyes and looked at the vial, she saw it was filled with shimmering blood that shone with the brilliance of a block of gold. When Sucrose held it up, it caught in the light of the fire beneath Albedo’s cooking pot and glowed even brighter. It was a perfect match to the color of her scars.
“So, it is true,” Albedo said. “You do have golden blood. Fascinating. Sucrose, please, could I ask you to test its contents?”
“Yes, of course. I’ll have the results shortly.” Sucrose stood up and headed back over to the work table, where she started to clean the bloodwork needle and tinker with various pieces of alchemy equipment that Cara didn’t understand.
“Are you feeling alright?” Albedo asked her. “No dizziness or nausea?”
“No,” Cara replied. “I feel fine.” She studied the cloth covering her vein. “I’m never going to get used to my blood being that color, though. It’s still shocking.”
“Dodoco thinks you were very brave!” Klee said. “She says that you were very still and didn’t even squeak when Sucrose took your blood! Both of us say good job!”
“Yes, you did very well. I would say that this discovery helps prove you are indeed the golden god.” Albedo picked up the book from the library’s restricted section. “While we are waiting for the blood test results, why won’t we read the contents of this book? Since you went through so much trouble to get it, it would be a good idea to look it over. Would you like to do the honors?”
Cara nodded. Albedo handed her the book, and she had to take a moment to stare at the cover and comprehend what was about to happen next. After all of this time, she was finally going to get some answers. Would this book tell her how to get home? Would it explain how she even got here in the first place? Nerves wracked her, but there was an excitement, too, an excitement at the prospect of finally gaining some ground and making progress as to where she went from here.
Albedo and Klee were watching with interest, and she knew she couldn’t stall any longer now. Cara shakily flipped open the book’s cover and began to read from the first page.
“In the beginning, there was the Light, and there was the Abyss. Both existed, but neither mingled, for they were opposites, and enemies eternal. And then the Light roiled and came together, and out of it emerged the Divine Dragon Caratrice in a glory of gold. With a flap of Her six wings and a puff of Her breath, She brought all of Teyvat into being with a single mighty roar. She became the Almother of all living things. The Original One, the Primordial One.” Her throat went dry when she saw the last word of the paragraph. “The…the Genshin.”
“Very few people call Caratrice the Genshin, anymore,” Albedo said. “It’s an old world term, mostly forgotten.” He peered closely at her features. “You’ve heard the name before?”
Cara’s eyes remained glued to that single word that seemed so insignificant, yet so incredibly impactful at the same time. “It was a pretty popular word to say back in my own world.”
“Keep reading, keep reading!” Klee squirmed ardently. “I wanna hear more!”
Cara forced herself to move on to the next page. “The Genshin lived among Her creations and helped them grow. The first civilizations were formed under Her watchful eye, and all of Teyvat flourished. Caratrice loved Her creations with the adoration of a mother, and gave every form of life Her equal time. However, Her favorites among the many creations were the humans, and all of those close to them. She loved them so much, She bestowed upon a select few of them pieces of her power which would give them the ability to be masters of Teyvat’s seven elements. These chosen ones became the leaders of their people, the envoys of the Genshin. They were called Vessels.”
“Oh, oh!” Klee raised her hand. “Mommy’s told me this story before, so I know who those people were! They had little marbles like we do, and some of them could control fire like me!”
“They are called Visions, Klee,” Albedo said. “And yes, they could control the elements, just like us. They were the first Vision bearers.” He nodded to Cara. “Continue.”
Cara flipped to the third page. “For years, Teyvat was at peace. But peace does not last forever. Light and darkness are pieces of the same whole. While the light throughout Teyvat touched every corner and filled the land with prosperity and good things, the darkness festered. Out of the Abyss came Armageddon, the Destroyer, god of the apocalypse, Caratrice’s twin brother and corrupted counterpart. Armageddon saw all that the Creator had made, saw how the world loved Her, and grew jealous with longing. With a plan to usurp his sister and steal Her power, he spread the tendrils of the Abyss and infiltrated Teyvat’s civilizations. Slowly, he gained a mass of followers, and they joined him within the shadows of his darkness and became twisted monsters. This was the founding of the Abyss Order.” She paused. “Wait, so the Abyss Order is that old?”
“They’ve been around for quite some time, but didn’t gain true traction in the sabotage of Teyvat’s nations until about 500 years ago,” Albedo said. “To this day, many people refuse to believe that they exist at all.”
500 years ago. The destruction of Khaenri'ah. This opened a whole new source of questions for Cara. She had already put two-and-two together to realize that this world of Teyvat was not an exact copy of the Teyvat that existed within her computer. Her Traveler, Lumine, didn’t exist here, and therefore neither did Aether, the Abyss Twin. So how did the Abyss Order and the destruction of Khaenri'ah fit into the history of this Teyvat?
There’s no time to figure it out now. She could ponder over these mysteries later-and maybe gain a few answers from an Abyss Mage if she happened to encounter one throughout her travels. She started to read again.
“With every new follower Armageddon gained, he grew stronger and stronger. He used his minions as pawns, possessing them with the dark art of the Madness to see through their eyes and speak with their tongues. The red mist of the Madness infected their minds and turned those who were filled with it against the Creator who adored them. When Caratrice discovered this, She was heartbroken and angry, for Armageddon was filling Her children with a hatred that wasn’t their own. With a mission to free those infected with the Madness and to vanquish Her brother once and for all, She chose nine human beings to rise to godhood and fight as Her warriors. They were named the Nine Choirs. And thus, the First War began.
“The First War lasted for 30 years. Teyvat was in ruins, and life was on the brink of extinction. The Nine Choirs were tired. Humanity was tired, and the world was close to being consumed by the Destroyer’s darkness. So, the Creator, in all of Her compassionate glory, sacrificed Herself to save Teyvat. She gave up Her light to chase back the Madness and died with the promise to return someday to finish off Armageddon once and for all. For this solution was only temporary: Caratrice’s light did not kill Her brother, only wounded him. Beneath the earth in which the Crossroads was built is where Armageddon slumbers. Someday he will awaken, and the god of the apocalypse will rise once again.”
Klee whimpered. “So sad,” she murmured. “This part of the story is so sad.” But then her eyes filled with a glimmer of hope. “But if you're here, it means you kept your promise, right? You came back, and now you're going to get rid of your bad guy brother once and for all!”
Cara didn’t know what to say. This was so much to unpack. Not only were the Knights of Favonius hellbent on killing her, but now she had to worry about some great apocalyptic god of destruction coming after her, too? I’d honestly rather fight Eula, Jean, and Lisa all at once than do that. “Klee, I-I don’t think I’m strong enough to take on a bad guy with this much power.”
“Oh. Well, that’s okay! You aren’t strong now, but you will be! Big brother Albedo can teach you how to use a sword, and then when that evil Destroyer wakes up and sees you, all you’ll have to do is go swoosh, and whoosh, and wa-pow!” Klee swung an imaginary sword wildly through the air. “That big meanie Armigeedon won’t know what hit him!”
“Oh my stars!” Sucrose suddenly exclaimed. She ran over to Albedo and shoved a piece of marked-up paper into his hands. “Mr. Albedo, look! These-these readings! I’ve never seen something so extraordinary! Her blood!”
“What about my blood?” Cara asked, both worried and intrigued.
Sucrose was so excited, she looked like she was about to faint. “Your blood has the regular four main components that are seen in a normal human’s blood: plasma, red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. But existing beside those four components are the components of auric chloride and chloroauric acid! These two components are the most common compounds found in gold. How your body can survive with such components flowing through your bloodstream is a mystery…but-but the important thing is that your blood is not just golden in its color! It’s quite literally liquid gold!”
“Woah! I don’t understand most of what Sucrose just said, but I do know what gold is!” Klee exclaimed. “Liquid gold! That’s so cool!”
“Sucrose is correct,” Albedo said after reading over the paper. “Your blood indeed does have components that exist within the element of gold. This goes beyond my initial expectations.” He handed the paper back to Sucrose. “Starting tomorrow, please continue studying the sample. See if it holds any other attributes seen with normal samples of gold. Try exposing it to heat or electricity.”
Sucrose nodded enthusiastically. “Yes, Mr. Albedo! I’ll get to it first thing in the morning!”
Cara’s mind was reeling. “Liquid gold,” she whispered. “It’s impossible.” There was no way her blood should have such components within it. And yet, Sucrose was the bio-alchemist, not her. One would be foolish not to trust in her conclusions. Still, how could she go from having regular human blood in her own world to suddenly developing golden blood here?
The book might have answers. She started browsing through the pages, searching for any mention of golden blood among its words. While Albedo, Klee, and Sucrose continued to freak out over their discovery, she got lost in the legends of the Creator, learning more about Caratrice than she ever knew before. She saw more drawings of the six-winged wyvern, as well as depictions of nine god-like deities, each represented by a title. Jehoel, the Seraph. Pahaliah, the Throne. Seraphina, the Power. Michael, the Archangel…these must be the names of the Nine Choirs that the creation myth mentioned.
And then, a sentence on a different page caught her eye. One belonging to another legend. And Cara’s heart stopped.
There is a false god in Teyvat.
“Albedo.” She shook his shoulder to gain his attention. “Listen to this. This legend talks about a false god. Could it be about me?”
“No,” Albedo answered. “I am quite certain now that you are the reincarnation of Caratrice. But it could be about the Caratrice that is currently sitting on your throne. Go ahead, read it.”
Sucrose and Klee went silent when the words began to flow off of her tongue. “There is a false god in Teyvat, and they have tricked the people of this world. Gods and mortals alike bow before them and swear their undying devotion to a puppet. They cannot see through the trickery of the heretic’s words…and there is a prophecy. One written in the stars and banished from all forms of text by the hand of the false god. It speaks of the Divine Creator rising up and defeating the false god to reclaim her rightful throne and free the people from the Madness with the aid of her nine champions… Lupus, Rota, Ocellus, Fila, Peregrinus, Alatus, Monoceros, Iracundus, and lastly, Palmatum …those are constellation names. Albedo, do you recognize any of them?”
Albedo rubbed his chin. “No, I don’t. Constellations are the speciality of astrologists, not alchemists. These names must be the constellations of the new Nine Choirs.”
“But I thought there already was a group of pre-existing Nine Choirs?”
“Yes, but those gods existed a long time ago. There is no telling whether any of them are even still alive.” Albedo’s eyes sparkled with interest. “So, the Caratrice sitting on the Crossroads throne right now is indeed an imposter…it seems I need no further proof. The Creator has returned. And this Madness, this dark art the book alludes to, has to be what is causing so many Vessels to turn against you. The fake Caratrice is using magic to control minds.”
The red mist of the Madness…infected minds…the thing that spoke through Jean, the way every single character who wants to kill me has some sort blood red color in their irises… it had never occurred to Cara before that the hunt being enforced throughout Monstadt might be an order enacted against the wills of those leading the charge, but now, it all did truly make sense in a strange way.
She turned the page, and an elaborate drawing of Caratrice’s true form with her six wings completely flared out was revealed to her. Encircling the mighty dragon were seven small lights, each one a single specific color: red, green, teal, purple, dark blue, light blue, and yellowish-orange. Curious, she peered more closely at the description underneath the drawing.
A dragon reborn has no control over its fire. The same is said for the Creator. When She returns to Teyvat to vanquish the Madness of the heavens and the Abyss, reincarnated flesh will close around renewed muscle and bone, and Her power will be limited. But if the hearts of the Seven are absorbed, true power will be gained.
Wait, Cara thought. Those aren’t lights. Those…those are the gnoses. This picture depicted Caratrice regaining full control over Teyvat’s seven elements by absorbing the gnoses of the Archons! Could this be a way for me to get home? If I get all of the gnoses, will I gain the power to return to my own world?
“Did you find something?” Albedo asked.
“Yeah,” Cara replied. “I think I finally found the answers I’m looking for. Here, read this page.”
Albedo took the book and looked it over. Cara watched his face, searching for any sign of shock, or disbelief, or even amusement as he came to the conclusion of the plan that was starting to form in her head. But he didn’t; he just slowly lowered the book down after he was done reading and stared at her.
  “Well?” Cara questioned.
“What you are thinking of doing is impossible,” he stated. “To gain an audience with an Archon, let alone all seven of them, and then proceed to challenge them for their gnosis is practically a death wish.”
“You want to do what?” Sucrose squeaked.
“But it’s the only lead I have,” Cara argued. “If I get the gnoses, maybe I’ll finally be able to go home. Whether I’m an imposter or not, this book says that something will happen if someone is in possession of all seven.”
“Do you know what you're saying?” Sucrose cried. “Cara, as much as I want to believe that this legend is true, there is no proof of whether such a plan will give you the abilities you seek! The Seven are-are gods at their full power! Some of them have been alive since the Archon War! Do you really want to risk your life and challenge them when you aren’t even sure that having all of the gnoses will be the way to regain your full power?”
“Yes,” Cara said, with so much conviction and determination, she rendered Sucrose silent. “I will do whatever it takes to get back to my own world. I have people there waiting for me, people who I know will miss me if I stay here forever. If fighting the Archons is the only way I’ll see them again, then so be it.”
“But Cara,” Klee said. “Aren’t you afraid?”
Cara looked at her. “Yes,” she answered after a moment. “Yes, I’m afraid. No, I’m terrified. I don’t want to die. And despite all my big talk, I-I really don’t want to face the Archons, either. But I have to do whatever it takes. I haven’t had any leads until now. The wind pointed me towards this book for a reason. I have to believe that it was because it wanted me to know that getting the gnoses is how I get back to my world.”
Sucrose looked down her hands with confliction. Albedo didn’t say a word. But Klee’s entire face lit up with admiration. “Wow, you really are one of the bravest, coolest gods ever, Your Grace! You may be even braver than Barbatos! I wanna help you find the Anemo Archon so you can get his gnosis thingy! Albedo, can we please help Cara?”
Albedo sighed. “What kind of Vessels would we be if we were to refuse? We’ve been by Her Grace’s side since before she got here, and we will continue to be by her side from now on. Cara, we will help you get the Anemo gnosis, and after that, we’ll find a way to get you out of Monstadt so you can continue your journey through Teyvat. You have my word.”
  “Mine, too!” Klee cheered.
“No doubt this will be dangerous,” Sucrose said. “But I want to help, too. Whatever you need me to do, I’ll try my best for you, Your Grace.”
A wave of emotion swept over Cara, and she wanted to burst into tears. “Thank you, guys,” she said, voice warm with gratitude. “I-I don’t know what to say. If you really do want to help me, then I’ll accept it. But, um, before we start putting together Operation: Let’s Fight God, can I ask you guys if there’s any way to get in contact with people in Monstadt City? I have friends who were helping me back there, too, and I didn’t mean to get separated from them. I want to let them know I’m okay.”
“Of course,” Albedo said. “Who are they?”
  “Kaeya, Bennett, and Razor.”
“Oh! Oh!” Klee cried. “Kaeya, Bennett, and Razor are the best! Kaeya wrote the Favonius Survival Rulebook for me and he always helps me cover it up when I make a big disaster, Razor always knows the best way to fix bad things when disasters happen to keep me safe, and I always find way more treasure if I go adventuring with Bennett..even though he never finds any. I’m so glad they’re your friends, too!”
“It’s good to know you have them on your side,” Albedo said. “Though I don’t know Razor and Bennett very well, they are good influences for Klee. Kaeya, however, sometimes isn’t, but regardless, he’s a trustworthy ally. Sucrose, Klee, can you go down to Monstadt City and find the three of them? Let them know that Cara is safe, and they can come see her whenever they wish to. But do so discreetly, please. We can’t have the knights finding out.”
“Of course,” Sucrose said. “We’ll head off. Come along, Klee.”
“Okay!” Klee took Sucrose’s hand. “We’ll be back soon!”
They left the camp, and then it was just Cara and Albedo. Reassured that Razor, Bennett, and Kaeya would know she was okay, and hopeful that they in return were safe as well, she allowed herself to relax. I hope they’re alright. I hope Bennett escaped the knights. I hope they weren’t captured.
“I would suggest you get some rest,” Albedo told her. He stood up. “We have a full day tomorrow. I will be on the lookout for Sucrose and Klee when they return.”
“Wait, what? What do you mean, we have a full day tomorrow? What are we doing?”
Albedo smiled knowingly at her. “If you are planning on fighting gods, then you need to be prepared for the battles to come. Without the seven gnoses, you will never regain your full power, so we need to assure that you have the physical fighting skills to take on an Archon.”
“What are you saying?” Cara asked.
“I’m saying this,” Albedo answered. “Starting tomorrow, I am going to teach you how to wield a sword.”
“Oh,” Cara said. “Oh. Makes sense, I guess.” To fight, one needed a weapon, and she had always favored the idea of learning how to use a sword even before she arrived in Teyvat.
Albedo nodded. “Your training begins in the morning. If you need me, I’ll be right outside. Get some sleep.” And then he left the camp as well to disappear into the Dragonspine wilderness. Cara was left alone with her thoughts.
She looked at the book, stared into the eyes of Caratrice, and sighed, before placing the book on the floor and laying down to nestle deeper into her blankets. She closed her eyes.
Steal the seven gnoses. Or die trying.
God, I am so doomed.

Noelle wished she weren’t so nervous.
She understood that she was here to gather information. In order for things to go smoothly, being here was necessary. Standing at the side of the Acting Grand Master’s desk, the maid listened intently to the conversation between Lisa, Amber, and Eula. Jean was sitting down, her hands folded over her mouth with her eyes closed, lost in thought. Leaning against the handrail of the office’s elevated portion was Mona Megistus, an astrologist that Noelle did not know well. Hovering before the Hydro user was a conjured scryglass depicting a muddled circle of hazy stars. Her brow was furrowed in frustrated concentration, and every now and then, she muttered something under her breath.
“We have no idea if she’s even in Monstadt, anymore,” Amber was saying. “Those teleport waypoints are connected all over Teyvat. She could be halfway across the world right now, and we wouldn’t even know!”
“I don’t think she’s left Monstadt,” Lisa said. “If she did, Her Grace would have told us by now. She must have been transported to another region nearby the city.”
“But how did she even activate it in the first place?” Amber started pacing back and forth. “It makes no sense. They only respond to us Vessels when we’re being envoyed by the Creator. You…you don’t think she’s a Vessel going rogue, do you?”
“Impossible,” Eula said. She wore dueling emotions on her face: one was shame, most likely due to the fact that the “imposter” escaped on her watch. The other was pure rage. “I refuse to believe such a heretical creature could ever be in the good graces of the Almother. Her Grace told us that we are dealing with an agent of chaos sent by the Destroyer himself to upheave the peace in Teyvat. She must have some sort of power born from the Abyss that allows her to use the waypoints.”
“Well, then where do we go from here?” Amber asked. “How are we going to find her?”
They both looked at Lisa. The librarian shrugged. “Don’t look at me. I may be a librarian, but I’m not all knowing. Jean, do you perhaps have anything to add to this?”
Jean opened her eyes. “Mona,” she said. “Have you found any information on the imposter’s future?”
“Well, you see, that’s the problem.” Mona waved her scryglass away and sighed. “In order to truly obtain a reading that will accurately tell me a person’s fate, I must know their constellation. All I have to do is look at the stars, and this piece of information is easily revealed to me. And it was. The heretic’s constellation is Veritas Primalis. However, that is all I know. Every time I try to look into her future or attempt to figure out where she landed after using the teleport waypoint, my scryglass becomes virtually impossible to read. It’s like there’s some elemental blockage preventing me from learning anything about her beyond what her constellation is.”
Noelle relaxed when she heard this news. Good, she thought, but she didn’t let this be known. Amber and Eula looked troubled. Lisa didn’t look surprised, just slightly annoyed. Jean nodded calmly, but the protruding jugular vein on her neck showed her silent anger. “I see.”
“I’m sorry for the inconvenience, Acting Grand Master,” Mona said apologetically. “My only guess as to why my scryglass is acting up like this is that the heretic is using the power of Armageddon to keep her fate obscured. Hydromancy can tell us mortals many things, but in the face of a god’s power, it can be rendered useless.”
“There’s no need to apologize, Mona,” Jean assured. “You’ve done all you can here, and I will forever be thankful for it.”
Maybe they will give up the hunt, Noelle hoped. Maybe this will finally be when they stop this madness. There are no leads, no ways of even knowing whether she’s in Monstadt, anymore. This is good. Perhaps I won’t have to fight my friends, at all.
“However,” Jean continued. “There is more you can do later on, if you would accept the position I am offering to you.”
  Noelle stiffened. What?
“Hm?” Mona said. “Well, I’ll listen to your offer. What is it?”
Jean pulled a piece of paper lying on her desk closer to her. Noelle could see a list of names written on it. “I took counsel with Her Grace before this meeting. She told me to put together a hunting party. The four people on this team were handpicked by her. Mona, you are one of those people. If I asked you to join three others to travel Monstadt’s regions to find and kill the imposter once and for all, would you accept?”
Mona looked absolutely flabbergasted. “Me? Her Grace handpicked me? I-I cannot believe this! It’s a great honor-ah, I mean, yes! Of course I accept! Who are the other three people, if I may ask?”
Jean read off of the paper. “These are Her Grace’s own words. “Find Sister Rosaria of the Church of Favonius, Amber the Outrider, the astrologer Mona Megistus, and Diluc Ragnvindr of Dawn Winery. The imposter is still somewhere in your nation. Where exactly, I don’t know. But I want these four to find her and bring me her head. They will be the hounds. The rest of you will be the hunters. Stay in Monstadt and be on guard. I have a feeling that the heretic will be back in the city soon.”
“I was chosen by Her Grace, too?” Amber cried with astonished glee.
“Ooo, so we are to be the hunters and the hounds, are we?” Lisa said. She was grinning like a cat. “How fun. I’m looking forward to seeing the little fox caught.”
“It will be a glorious day when that happens,” Eula growled. “It will be the day when vengeance is officially served!”
“This is certainly news I wasn’t expecting to hear,” Mona said, still obviously shocked. “But if this came directly from Her Grace, then I will accept her orders gladly. I…do not want to know what would happen if I were to refuse.”
“Good.” Jean nodded. “I’ll gather the other hounds here later today. You four will set off tomorrow.” She smiled. “This is the highest honor I can ever think of receiving. I know you and the others won’t disappoint. None of us will. We will kill that imposter if it is the last thing we do.”
“M-Master Jean,” Noelle blurted out. Everyone stared at her. She gulped and tried to steady her voice. “Um, if I may ask, why wasn’t I, or Master Kaeya, chosen?”
Jean blinked. “I…do not know. But don’t think this means that Her Grace doesn’t care for you, Noelle. Everyone here knows that you put enormous effort into everything you do, including the Creator. You are Monstadt’s strongest Geo user, so you were probably chosen to remain in the city to act as an impenetrable defense.”
“Yeah, Noelle!” Amber agreed. “You're super resilient, and super strong! You swing that claymore like it’s a child’s toy, and that shield of yours can take on any attack!”
“Amber speaks the truth,” Eula said. “You are an incredible asset to Monstadt’s safety. I cannot think of anyone who would be better equipped to keep our citizens safe from harm.”
“As for why Kaeya wasn’t chosen as well…” Jean hesitated before continuing. “It may have to do with the fact that Diluc was chosen to be on the hunting party. But, let’s not get into that. Noelle, I’ll make sure that both you and him are well-informed on the hunt for the imposter, so please, don’t feel rejected or left out.”
“Oh, no, I never thought that at all!” Noelle said. She withheld her true thoughts. I hope Kaeya and I aren’t suspected by the false god. “It is my honor to serve as Monstadt’s defense. I will do everything I can to keep all of us safe from the imposter.”
“That’s what I like to hear,” Jean praised. “Don’t worry. Everything will be fine. We will catch her.” She pushed her chair back and stood up. “Meeting dismissed. Mona and Amber, please come with me. We’re going to go find the rest of your team members. Everyone else, begin preparing surveillance throughout the city. We need to make sure that if the heretic returns, we will know, and we will be ready.”
Everyone shuffled out of the office and went on their way. Noelle pretended to adjust her priestess hat as the others left. When she saw they were gone, she quickly darted up to the headquarter’s second floor. Her destination was the first room to the right.
This is bad, she thought. Four of Monstadt’s strongest Vessels, all on the same team…oh, Barbatos, how could this happen? I have to warn Kaeya. I have to do something. If we don’t act first, Her Grace is as good as dead.
Tumblr media
Kaeya was afraid.
He wasn’t one who enjoyed admitting to himself when such an emotion held him hostage. He tried to remain cool-headed in any situation, showing nothing but confidence and a leveled outlook as he endured whatever obstacle he was faced with. But now though, as he sat as his desk in his office and scanned a map of Monstadt’s various regions with a frantic eye, he knew he had to acknowledge that this was a time of his life where he would not be able to combat his terror.
Last night, he had made a dire mistake. While standing guard for Cara during her errand in the library’s restricted section, he had been shocked to see Lisa walk out of said library with Razor by her side. At first, he had feared the worst: Razor had sold them out, and now Kaeya, Bennett, and Cara would be executed together. But for a split second, when the two of them shared a brief interval of silent conversation through eye contact, he understood the truth. The wolf boy was acting as a distraction. And Lisa was not supposed to be here. She should have been investigating the false tip he had sent in about a sighting of the imposter in the area around Dawn Winery with the rest of the knights. It was a completely unanticipated move, and it frustrated him to see that his carefully laid out plan of leading their adversaries astray had gone wrong.
He had met Lisa with practiced manipulation, explaining to her that he had taken the night to complete some last-minute paperwork and was just heading out to the Angel’s Share for a drink. She didn’t question him about why he wasn’t at Dawn Winery with the other captains; no one had even asked him to go, most likely due to his strained relationship with Diluc. In an attempt to save Razor from being pulled away, therefore potentially inhibiting Cara’s success, Kaeya followed the two of them outside, though he knew this wasn’t a very intelligent move on his part. What would Cara think when she saw he was gone? What if the knights returned early? Would she deem him a traitor? Would she refuse to trust him again?
The knights won’t return early, he had reminded himself. You specifically planned for them to remain at Dawn Winery well into the night. Cara will get out of the headquarters without any hindrance. She knows I wouldn’t betray her. Young Bennett will bring her somewhere safe, and once I get Razor away from Lisa, the four of us will reconvene. It will be fine. I have this under control.
As it turned out, Kaeya, for all of his meticulous planning and smooth talking, did not have everything under control. Because as cunning as he was, he could not anticipate that the false Creator would somehow discover that Cara was in the library. He did not expect “Her Grace” to use Eula and a group of knights as surprise attack dogs with the command to wait outside of the library entrance for Cara to walk right into their clutches. By the time he had made it back to the headquarters, Cara was gone. Bennett was now suddenly a wanted criminal, and to keep him safe, Razor had whisked him away to Wolvendom. Kaeya was left completely alone-and thus, he was officially afraid for his god.
How did this happen? he thought. His gaze continued to rove over the map, its weathered parchment filled with scribbled notes and thumbtacks that identified possible locations as to where Cara could be hiding. How did the fake Creator find out? Was she using Lisa as a set of eyes? Does she have spies within the city? No, that can’t be it. If that were the case, I would be arrested right now. It has to be something else. Damnit, why was Lisa even in the library in the first place? Jean must have told her to stay behind as backup. That’s the only logical explanation.
His knee was bouncing, and his hand unconsciously went to pull at his hair. Frustration and desperation were building up inside of him as he stared at the map. He had to find Cara before the knights did. He couldn’t let her die. Not only was she his god, but she was his friend, too. She was most likely the only friend he had. He would not abandon her in her time of need.
Something on the map caught his attention. Stormterror’s Lair was circled-not by his hand, but most likely from a knight who had previously used this same map for tracking. High numbers of Abyss Mages here, an old note was written at the top of the circling. Do not engage unless you have a Vision.
“The Abyss Order,” he mumbled. “It was your people, wasn’t it? You were the spies.” An Abyss Mage sneaking into Monstadt City’s walls to cause havoc was not unheard of. He knew of the Abyss Order’s founding, how they were sworn enemies of the Creator and would do anything to soil her name. Could the false Creator be striking a deal with the Abyss Order in order to stop Cara from regaining her true power? It was not an unlikely theory, and it made sense. An Abyss Mage would use its magic to locate Cara and then proceed to send that information to the real imposter. It would explain why neither him, nor Razor, were arrested too, since only Cara was the known target. He would keep this prospect in mind for the future; if Cara really was being stalked by the Abyss Order, then he would have to put a stop to it. His loyalty to his god came before his past.
A series of knocks on his office door made his head shoot up. Kaeya quickly rolled up the map and tucked it carefully into his desk. “Come in,” he called.
The door opened, and in stepped Noelle. Kaeya did not relax; if anything, her presence gave him even more anxiety, for he knew she had essential information for him that would confirm Cara as either alive or dead.
Noelle did not salute to him, or run through any of the typical Knights of Favonius formalities she took so much care in enacting. Instead, she only clasped her hands together and immediately informed him of what he needed to hear. “They’re putting together a hunting party. An official one, made up of four Vessels chosen by the false Creator herself. They’re going to scour every region of Monstadt until they find Her Grace and kill her.”
Just as he feared. “Who did the false Creator choose?”
“Sister Rosaria of the Church of Favonius, Mona Megistus the astrologer, Outrider Amber, and…and your brother.”
Kaeya stiffened, his hands clenching. Of course, he thought. Because why wouldn’t he end up being involved? But it does make sense. Mona combats Bennett, Rosaria cancels out both him and Razor, Amber is a natural tracker and can use her bow to take out Cara from a far distance, and Diluc…Diluc cancels out me. The false Creator really did think of everything.
“Master Kaeya, what are we going to do?” Noelle asked. “If the hunting party finds Her Grace, she won’t stand a chance against their combined strength. How are we going to find her first?”
Kaeya shook his head. “I don’t know.”
“You don’t know?” Noelle sounded shocked. “B-But Master Kaeya, you always have a plan. We just can’t sit here and do nothing! We must act first!”
Kaeya pressed a hand to his temples and closed his eye. “I know,” he said. “I know we have to act first. But without any leads, we’re as lost as the hunting party. Our only option is to track their movements and hope we can snatch Cara out of danger before they attack.”
“Master Jean did say she was going to keep us informed on what is happening with the hunting party,” Noelle said. “So, I guess that could work…Oh, Barbatos will have to send us a miracle though if we are to outsmart the entirety of the knights.”
Kaeya thought of Venti and wanted to laugh. “Don’t bother praying to him. Barbatos will sooner join the hunting party than go against it.” He stood up and made for the door. “Come along, Noelle. I have an idea. We may be able to gain some information by wrenching it out of an Abyss Mage or two-”
As he was walking out, someone crashed into him. Kaeya went flailing backwards, but was quickly caught by Noelle to stop his fall.
“Ohmygosh, Mr. Kaeya, I’m so sorry!” The young figure of Klee came rushing over to him. “I didn’t mean to run into you. Please don’t tell Master Jean, I can’t be put into solitary confinement today!”
“Oh, Klee.” Kaeya felt relieved. “It’s only you.” At first, he had been afraid that he had stumbled upon an eavesdropper, but he was sure that Klee was far too young for Jean or even the fake imposter to involve in the hunt. “What are you doing running around in the halls? Didn’t Jean tell you not to do that? You could trip and hurt yourself.”
“I know, I know, and I’m sorry. But you don’t understand! We came all the way from Dragonspine to talk to you about something very, very important!”
  “We?” Kaeya questioned.
“I’m with her.” A new person joined them; it was Sucrose, the young bio-alchemist who worked as Albedo’s assistant. She gave him a polite nod. “H-Hello, Master Kaeya. Um, Mr. Albedo, he-he sent Klee and I to give you an important message.”
“Oh? And what could that be?”
Sucrose looked over her shoulder nervously. “Can we talk about it inside your office? It’s, um, a very private matter.”
“Certainly.” Kaeya allowed the two newcomers to shuffle inside, then dutifully closed the door. Sucrose opened her mouth to begin, but when she saw Noelle, she froze. “Oh, Noelle! I, um, didn’t notice you were here at first. I apologize for not saying hello. Klee and I, we practically ran here, so I’m a little winded.”
“Oh, that’s alright, Sucrose. It’s wonderful to see you.” Noelle side-eyed Kaeya, silently asking him if he wanted her to leave. Kaeya shook his head. Stay. If this important message Albedo had for him involved Cara, then he wanted her to hear it. Noelle could lead a rescue mission if he was unable to, so it was essential that she was aware of every detail.
Sucrose still seemed hesitant to talk. Klee was watching Noelle carefully, then tugged at Sucrose’s hand. “I think it’s okay to tell her, Sucrose. Noelle is a nice lady. She would never do anything bad!”
“Sucrose,” Kaeya said. “If I may ask…does this message Albedo has for me happen to be about the conflict about the imposter?”
“Yes!” Klee answered before Sucrose could. “Only she is not an imposter, and I know you don’t think she is too, because she told me so!”
“Klee!” Sucrose cried. “You're revealing too much information!”
“It’s alright,” Kaeya said. “You can tell us everything. I take it Her Grace is with Albedo, then?”
Sucrose sighed. “I suppose since Her Grace did say you were a friend of hers, it’s okay to tell you everything. Yes, she is currently with Mr. Albedo right now. We found her by a teleport waypoint near his camp. She’s safe, so you don’t have to worry. She wanted Klee and I to tell you, Bennett, and Razor that.”
“Oh, that is certainly a relief,” Noelle sighed.
“Yes, it definitely is.” Kaeya felt like slumping to the floor; after being worried for an entire night and morning about whether Cara was dead or alive, it was welcoming news to hear that she was alright.
“Where are Bennett and Razor?” Klee asked, slightly disappointed. “I wanted to see them.”
“They’re in Wolvendom,” Kaeya replied. “Bennett was seen helping Her Grace escape the city last night, so he’s currently not welcome here anymore, and he’s in hiding. We should find the two of them right away. I know they’re eager to hear about Cara’s safety.”
“Sucrose, have you heard about what Master Jean is planning?” Noelle asked the other girl. “There’s going to be a hunting party! If they show up in Dragonspine, it is essential that you keep Her Grace hidden from view!”
“A hunting party?” Sucrose repeated, paling. “Oh, no, that’s-that’s not good at all!”
“No, it isn’t,” Kaeya said. As he did, however, a lightbulb suddenly went off in his mind. The hunting party was made up of only four people…but here he was with Noelle, Sucrose, and Klee, three Vision users who were on Cara’s side. Add in himself, Bennett, Razor, and Albedo, and that was six Vessels who believed in the true Creator. If they were forced to face the hunting party in combat, they would have a high chance of winning. And of course, there were others as well…“But while it is something we should worry about, I think I may have a plan to stop them from killing Cara.”
“You have a plan now?” Noelle said. She sounded delighted.
“Yes, and it may just work. To make sure the hunting party doesn’t endanger Her Grace…perhaps we should form a party of our own.”

After almost two weeks playing Dislyte I have learned…
Mona is awesome and a good starter, she carries early game she‘s still carrying me and my main team together with Tang Xuan, even tho I‘m level 43
I really want her overpriced skin. And I‘m really considering buying it. someone pls stop me
You can get characters without 'wishing'. It takes some time and you have to be fast with certain characters, but that’s a really nice feature (Ripple Dimension)
Ye Suhua and Dhalia are most wanted ripples, everyone will fight for them including me
Stamina fills up much faster than Resin in Genshin, which is awesome but also understandable. It‘s also easier to get more without having to buy with Crystals or other currencies.
There is autoplay it took me several days until I noticed that, how fucking embarrassing is that and you can speed up the game up to 3x
Most People are wholesome and you rarely come across actual assholes.
Channel 8 is the sniffer channel, everyone hates them, but they help and answer questions if you have some. And then they go back to sniffing, which- okay just let them do their thing.
Channel 14 is my to go channel, many Suhua and Dhalia drops hehe
Once, Channel 1 and 2 were the best, but now they are like every other channel (or so they say)
Leveling up is super fast and rather easy, your own level and the ones of your characters.
Clearing the 100th floor on Infinity Tower commands the highest respect, followed by dropping Suhua/Dhalia ripples and telling the channel before, and last getting double or tripple legendaries in a ten pull.
Li Ling slaps sadly I don’t have him
Tang Xuan and Tang Yun are twins (which I didn’t realize until someone mentioned it)
You have to build more than five characters (to form a team) since not every team and formation is fit for different bosses.
Artifacts are still a pain.
For every character there is a page with strategy, filled with infos about the character, which artifacts most people use, which teams are the best and comments about the characters most of them are just thirsts
Drew hits different and is probably the reason why many started playing Dislyte.
Lin Xiao is recognized tiger mommy.
New character Ollie got thrown into a wardrobe, tangled in the clothes, came out like he is rn and they said "we like it picasso"
Character designs absolutely slap, love every single one of them yes, even ollie
Q is the most hated character, which okay, I understand. But in the beginning this little dude was part of my team and maybe I‘m just too shit with these games- but he was useful to me
The fact this whole game is based on mythology has the Percy Jackson kid in me screaming.
Discboom playable character. Right now. Like- NOW.
honestly, i just really like this game and it had me hooked since the beginning and my interest is not going poof. which happens rather often with games. i usually play them for max a week, intense and getting really into it, but then my interest and motivation for these games say bye bye. dislyte is the only game, together with genshin, i‘ve been playing longer than a week. let’s pray it doesn’t change lmao

❛ CUDDLING SOME GENSHIN GIRLS ༉‧₊˚
Genshin girls x Creator!Reader
Shenhe, Xinyan, Rosaria, Mona & Lynette
A/n: You didn't specifically say who you want, so I used a random character generator on this one! Maybe I'll do more of these in the future!
Shenhe - Mind be purged, world be saved
You feel her body leaning into yours, her breathing slowly slowing down. Her heart still thunders against her chest, but her mind isn't racing anymore. She is relaxed, and completely in the moment.
For the first time in a long time, she is not worrying about the future or her past. She is safe in your arms, and happy as she can be.Your hands running through her snow white hair brings a comforting sense to Shenhe. Her body relaxes even more into you, her head resting against your chest, letting out a relieved sigh.
Her breathing grows even more quiet than before, her eyes closing in content. She has not been this comfortable in a very, very long time. "Enjyoing yourself?" Shenhe lets out a soft and breathy 'yes' sound as she answers you, her head nuzzling deeper into your chest in response. "Mhm," she answers quietly. Her words are little more than a whisper, her voice muffled from where her face is pressed against you. Shenhe moves to rest her head on your shoulder, her hair gently sifting through your fingers.
She does not speak. She simply exists in this moment with you. And in this moment, his mind is quiet and content.
This is where she feels most home.
Xinyan - If there's fire in your soul, you gotta rock 'n' roll.
Your body against her is warm and tender, like a nest of blankets. She buries his head into you, wanting your comfort. Her whole body feels lighter now and she is eager to spend every moment wrapped around you.
She doesn't care to move— not so long as you remain with her. You are her home, her only desire in any moment, and he will take hold of you in her embrace no matter how long it lasts. She is safe here. She is home. You are her world.
Her words are quiet, she's rambling about her day, about how she had to fight tons and tons of cyro slimes today. You can hear the excitement in her voice, the proudness as she talks and talks and talks. You may not be able to make out every word, but you can sense her joy in telling you. She just wants you to be proud of her. She wants you to know how much her days would be nothing without you. Saying if you'd be there, all those slimes would've been gone in a mere second. So, no matter what, she tries her best.
She leans her head against yours, and nuzzles against your neck. Her fingers run through your hair in affection.
Besides music, you are her favorite topic.
Rosari - Do not fear your past, and do not be scared to come to grips with it
Rosaria can hardly remember what life was like before you. Before she’d known your touch. Your warm embrace, the comfort of your presence. When she holds you close, all the troubles of the world vanish for a single, precious moment. The memory of you lingers in the air around her like a perfume. Your breath on her neck, your fingers in her hair. Your heartbeat against her chest.
She breathes your name; a sound like a prayer, a plea. “My love.”
"Yes" you answer, eyes closed as you both hold each other. You're enjoying it just as much. "Stay with me." There is a softness in Rosarias words, a quiet plea that she doesn’t think he can survive being apart from you. She doesn't often say things like these, you're not even sure if she ever had asked you for something like this. But you aren't complaining.
"Please," she urges gently, hand rising to caress your cheek. "Don’t leave me alone."
"Never" Rosaria wraps her arms tightly around you once more. She is a woman made of stone and steel, but when confronted with your love, she becomes like a girl. A girl who has just been told that she is loved back.
"I love you." She whispers, eyes closed, face buried in the crook of your neck. "I don't know what I'd do if I did not have you at my side."
She breathes, then, "You… make me whole."
Mona - Fate is called as such, for it cannot be changed, nor can it be reversed. It can only but be accepted.
She breathes in, her body trembling in your arms. She is still in a way that you would never suspect, but her soul? Your fingers, your touch, your voice? It's as if they've been her guiding light in a galaxy of millions of stars. "Your touch," she breathes, her eyes still shut. "Yours," she whispers, almost to herself, breath soft against your shoulder as she nuzzles into your neck.
"I have so badly wished to feel it."
"You like it this much in my arms?" Mona nods, breath catching as a faint blush appears on her cheeks when you speak. Just now she realized how blod she actually was. "I am content." There's a smile that blooms on her lips when she finally opens his eyes. She is close to you now; your hands can feel the rise and fall of her breath underneath your fingers.
Mona’s body presses closer against yours, seeking comfort in the warmth of your body. The faint blush on her cheeks has only grown more intense as she stares at you, unmoving, her eyes searching your face, studying every inch of it once more with a deep reverence. As if she had never studied it in the first place.
"When I look at you," Her voice is a whisper. "What I feel… it is much more than content." And look at her now, hiding her face in your neck to stop your burning gaze upon her blushing face.
Lynette - Staying silent is beneficial for maintaining focus and gathering intelligence
She leans into you, the tension leaving her body, and her mind becomes clouded with the warmness of your embrace.
When Lynette's introverted personality acts up, she becomes distant and cold to most others. But with you, she wants to be close and intimate; she craves your presence and attention, needing the warmth of your touch. If anyone has the power to melt Lynette's seemingly icy facade, it's you. Lynette's lips tug up at the corner, and she smiles softly, her eyes fluttering closed with a pleasant flush. She can almost feel how she drifts off to sleep soon.
She takes a deep breath and looks up at you, his cheeks flushed with embarrassment.
"Can we...have tea after this?" "Of course" You're softly stroking her ears, careful not to be to rough, after all her ears are sensitive. In your arms, Lynette feels safe. It's a foreign feeling to her. When she's in your company, she feels his tension slowly ease; her breath is no longer heavy, but calm and even.
With you, she doesn't have to put up a front— he doesn't need her usual 'facade'. Lynette is content to simply remain in your arms, her face buried in your chest, and her eyes closed in absolute comfort. After all she's a cat, it's no wonder she started purring in your arms

Occasionally I’d play music in the background while playing the game. Now on this fine day, I’ve played ‘The Plagues’ from the prince of Egypt. I have a certain two brothers on my team. One of them being my main, Kaeya. “This seems too familiar,” I said aloud. In SAGAU, what would their reactions be?
plagued
a/n: voidless, words cannot describe the jealousy i feel knowing you are a diluc haver. also, i had kinda a hard time with this one, so let me know if this isn’t what you wanted!
word count: ~2k (the song itself is abt. 300)
-> warnings: major spoilers for kaeya and diluc lore, biblical references (quotes from the song are used, which itself is an interpretation of the bible), the brothers think you’re the ‘lord’ being referenced, heavy angst, this got so sad so quickly—
-> lowercase intended!

Tumblr media
i don’t think it would register the first 10 seconds or so. they might be interested from the haunted whispers, or wonder how your device managed to capture a choir. they would pause on ‘this saith the lord’ but would get over it quickly. naturally, they would assume it was referring to you, and everything after carries a bit more weight. what if it was a command of yours?
‘Since you refuse to free my people
All through the land of Egypt’
they’d be curious about where ‘egypt’ was, and whether or not you lived there. why were the people captured? were they prisoners of war? they knew how deadly a fight between gods could be- was your world in the midst of war?
‘I send a pestilence and plague
Into your house, into your bed
Into your streams, into your streets
Into your drink, into your bread’
all of a sudden very worried. they’re gonna assume the worst case scenario and worry that you’re suffering through a plague. diluc’s making plans to offer more food the next time he has dinner at the manor, and kaeya’s concerned you might get sick from the poisoned food. they don’t have the most advanced medicine, and certainly not medicine fit for a god.
‘Upon your cattle, on your sheep
Upon your oxen in your field
Into your dreams, into your sleep
Until you break, until you yield’
this will give them pause, if only until they think it over. cattle? ‘oxen’? how could your world be so advanced as to have a device to peer into theirs and yet rely on these animals? they quickly get ahold of it though, don’t worry: naturally, your device was a holy item, only to be used by you, a god. it made sense that the people you ruled over would rely on cows and sheep to live. but then.. was this song one of warning? warning whoever the other party was of your divine retribution?
it makes more sense to diluc than it does kaeya.
’I send the swarm, I send the horde
Thus saith the Lord’
this only cements in their minds that it’s a song of warning. your people there must call you their lord—it made sense, perhaps they should adopt it?—and you were threatening to send a swarm of… something. they hoped they would never have to know. the haunting beauty of the chant is not something they’re keen on ever experiencing.
‘Once I called you brother
Once I thought the chance to make you laugh
Was all I ever wanted’
this hurts.
badly.
horribly, an ache immediately burning their chests. the tired, saddened voice of the brother will echo inside of kaeya’s head, likely long past whenever the song ends, and diluc’s tripping—literally, if you’re mid-battle his model will freeze in place for a few moments—over the realization that this is a hymn meant for brothers.
they refuse to meet each others eyes, each focused on the task you’ve given them. the other members of your party look away, giving them space even if they’re not the type to usually do so. i ask that you leave the brothers off-field, as they’ll surely be delayed in following your commands and will likely get hurt because of it.
’I send the thunder from the sky
I send the fire raining down’
the eerie enactment of your voice suddenly carries so much more weight. in your world, at some point, two brothers had fought over ‘egypt’, and you had sent down plagues in punishment. surely you knew this, right? was this a warning to them? were you angry with them?
’And even now I wish that god had chose another
Serving as your foe on his behalf
Is the last thing that I wanted’
you can’t see it due to the camera being permanently set behind the character—provided he’s on the field—and diluc certainly can’t, since they’re facing away from each other, but kaeya’s eyes are quickly turning glassy. it hurts, the weight of his promise to khaenri’ah, to his father—to both of his fathers—manifesting as a hollow ache in his chest. it’s getting harder to breathe through the block in his throat, and he wonders if you’re intentionally playing this because of him. it wouldn’t be so surprising; he knows he’s not the best or the most devoted, he knows that you likely look down on his lying and secrecy, he knows, he does, but please don’t remind him of it. it already haunts him when he tries to sleep.
‘I send a hail of burning ice
On every field, on every town’
diluc has a better handle on his expressions—read: he’s better at suppressing them—but anybody who looked could see he was distressed. his jaw is tense, every muscle in his body taught. he didn’t move an inch when he was off-field, and he relied heavily on the binds of your device to move him on-field. he feels like a live wire, buzzing with energy and yet no way to vent it. he can’t cope with these feelings the same way he normally would, he can’t throw himself into paperwork or into battle. he can’t stomp through mondstat’s plains, he can’t call flame to his fingertips and burn out the pain. your presence, the heavy air of divinity around him, barely does anything to soothe the ache. if anything, it only burns brighter.
‘This was my home
All this pain and devastation
How it tortures me inside
All the innocent who suffer
From your stubbornness and pride’
oh.
it’s like the words were handcrafted, bent into a hook and cast on a line that swiftly caught kaeya’s soul. he tries to remind himself that it’s not about him, it’s not about diluc and it’s not about khaenri’ah and it’s not about crepus, it’s about some nation in your world called ‘egypt’-
he can’t. the words resonate with his very essence, the core of his being shaking alongside the swelling music and tragic melodies. he feels like a glass in the hand of an opera singer, quivering in place and unable to move an inch, just waiting for the right frequency to make him shatter.
as he chokes on his own air, he wonders why you played this song specifically. did you know how much it would rip him apart? did you realize how much it hurt, to see himself reflected in its lyrics? did you know that it would send him back to his youth, did you want him to relive that pain?
over the turmoil, he can hear your voice. “this seems too familiar..”
so you were aware.
he supposed he deserved it.
’I send the locusts on a wind
Such as the world has never seen
On every leaf, on every stalk
Until there's nothing left of green’
diluc also caught your little comment, and he might have laughed would it not have come out watery. of course you knew. of course you chose this song specifically. of course you put him on the team with your beloved, of course you made him work with his brother, the one you’ve poured the most of your time and effort into. of course. of course. this was all just a jab at him, wasn’t it? perhaps he was being a touch self-centered in that assessment, but really, it wasn’t that far-fetched. he knew his brother was your favorite. he knew that, despite his own feelings about him, your opinion stood higher than any other. no matter how hard he tried, he would always fall to second place.
it made sense that you wanted to remind him.
’I send my scourge, I send my sword
Thus saith the Lord
You who I called brother
Why must you call down another blow?’
cryo vision or not, kaeya’s skin is burning. his heart is thundering at twice the pace it should, his skin flushed with both blood and embarrassment. he couldn’t help but feel like you were directing this at him specifically, like you had picked this song specifically to get under his skin. he didn’t doubt that diluc was affected as well—time apart didn’t change either of their habits—but didn’t dare to look over. surely, if he saw how disheveled mondstat’s cavalry captain had become after a simple few verses, his words would once more line with fire and flame. he knew his brother resented his position as the one in your favor, but now, with this further context…
it feels like you only picked him to fix him.
‘I send my scourge, I send my sword
Let my people go
Thus saith the Lord
Thus saith the Lord’
dilucs mind is racing, trying to pick out the meaning behind the song. it’s a tale of two brothers, that’s obvious enough, and it’s clear you mean for a parallel to be found between those sung about and him and kaeya. maybe- maybe if he can find it, if he can find the message you want them to learn, he can act on it and maybe he could fix whatever you hated so much about their relationship. he wanted to, desperately, because surely there was a reason you chose to play this with them on your team. there had to be meaning in this, there had to be a reason you insisted on placing him besides his brother even when you made it clear which you favored, there had to be a way to fix whatever he did to anger you. he refused to believe otherwise.
‘You who I called brother
How could you have come to hate me so?
Is this what you wanted?’
no, no, it wasn’t, kaeya never meant for this wedge between them to drive so deep, the chasm that separated the two brothers was never meant to be deeper than his pinky was long. he wanted to reconcile, he wanted to reconnect, this was never what he wanted, he never meant to dissolve his relationship with his brother like this. there were days he spent at the bar, bottle in hand and filled with regret over his decisions, wishing for anything to fix it. he would never want this. but of course, as always, your omnipotent presence dared to accuse what mortal men could never speak.
‘I send the swarm, I send the horde
Then let my heart be hardened
And never mind how high the cost may grow
This will still be so’
diluc’s eyes close, his thoughts a swirling mix of the words he’s hearing and memories of stormy nights. memories of blood on his hands and the glinting light of a fatui insignia burn behind his eyes, the implications of your playing this song knowing that it resonated with the two of them lost in the chaos. his mind echoes words back at him, an apparition only there to eat at him. ‘never mind how high the cost may grow,’ it spits, taunting, and he doesn’t have the energy to retaliate. why would he? hes in no place to protest, not when it’s right.
’I will never let your people go
Thus saith the Lord
Thus saith the Lord
I will not-‘
they ask that you never play this song again.
‘Let your (my) people go’

Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 (You are here!)
You turned away from the girls and headed back to your clearing, where a stump had formed. Sitting down, you looked down at your baby and worriedly examined them. Now that everything was more or less settled, you took the time to relax and made sure your babe was alright. Since your baby was a female, you thought back to the names you had bounced in your head. You smiled at one that your parents had brought up, from a fairytale.
"Astra, my little star." You cooed at them as they slept and raised their hand to grip your finger. Hearing little giggles, you looked up to see Mona come back with Thoma and Qiqi as Diane and Klee ran around picking flowers with Ayaka keeping an eye on them. Thoma took one look at you, coughed nervously, and lowered to one knee with his head bowed. You sighed and waved at Qiqi to not follow his action. "Thoma, you don't have to do that. Get up. I don't wish to see people lower themselves in my presence." You quickly thought of several exceptions, mainly those who chased you all these months until now, but you mentally shook it off. This was not the time to be petty. You noticed that he had several bags with him, and Qiqi had one of two with clothes. Raising an eyebrow, you turned your attention back to a raising (nervous) Thoma. "I see you have a lot of bags, what are all of these for?"
His eyes gleamed as he explained that they brought plenty of clothes for you and the little star, and actually took some out for you to see. You could tell they went above and beyond for the outfits as some had expensive silks and you could even recognize the kimonos coming from a particular location in Inuzama. You unconsciously smiled at the housekeeper, already seeing he was trying to keep you comfortable and get your mind off the past events. You lifted your hand and patted his head, effectively stopping his rambles from staring at the ground with a fierce blush. "Thank you, Thoma. Thank you, everyone. I appreciate what you are doing, but- " Your eyes narrowed, as a cold chill came down their backs, "I cannot easily forgive the people who chase a heavily pregnant woman around. It is a miracle that my Astra had come into this world unscathed, but if she hadn't... there would have been hell to pay." You withdrew your hand to let your daughter grip your finger again. You knew this was a bit harsh, but you weren't wrong. There was this feeling in your heart that was telling you it wasn't ultimately their fault, but it enraged you every time you thought back over the months. Looking back at the others, you saw their nervous gaze on the floor. As if they wanted the sins of their people to be swallowed by the earth. You shook your head and gestured to the river. "I will get myself and Astra cleaned up. Erm, could I have some clothes prepared? I am sorry to ask but I have my hands full."
"Oh! Of course! Actually, Mona or I could assist you while Thoma and the kids help set up!" Ayaka walked over to the bags and took some items of clothing out including a bathrobe for you and towels. Thoma nodded and went back toward the encampment you assumed was set up outside of the forest you had created. Coughing, you looked over to Mona after getting an idea.
"Erm, this is embarrassing to ask, but... Mona? Could I ask for you to assist? Ayaka, I can tell you are the leader of this group, so I appreciate your offer, but I would like you to let the rest of your group know that I have accepted their help. And, erm, I need Mona to help me with some questions." Mona looked up from gathering wood for a fire in surprise, but you could tell from her eyes that she was more than eager to help you. Ayaka slumped her shoulders slightly but nodded, clearly disappointed that she couldn't help. "Ayaka, no worries, I may ask something of you afterward. Thank you for your help in advance." As quickly as she was sad, she became excited. She looked like a pomeranian; you could almost see ears and a tail wagging behind her. It was so adorable that you reached out to pat her head while laughing. "I apologize, you were adorable. Anyhow, lets go Mona."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
You were washing up as Mona was helping with Astra. She had looked awkward at first, but learned quickly with your pointers. Pursing your lips, you debated on asking Mona to teach you how to control the water. You would have asked Ayaka for Cryo, but considering you wanted to bathe and you were already feeling cold... it wasn't a good idea. Once you were done, you looked up and cleared your throat. "Erm, Mona?"
"Yes, Your Grace?" You frowned at the name but decided that they would likely keep calling you these names. Sighing, you sat on a boulder and looked her in the eyes.
"Can you teach me how to control the water?" Mona looked up in shock, and you flinched away at the eyes full of surprise. "I may have manipulated some of my power before, but I am unsure how it happened. I was under duress, and I wanted to protect my baby. I barely even remember what happened." You nervously rubbed your arms to both calm yourself and get some warmth. Mona frowned before looking down at Astra and bringing up her hand in a thoughtful pose you are familiar with from the game. "It doesn't have to be anything offensive! I can feel the power humming under my skin; I just can't exactly tap into it without feeling extremely protective or emotional. As a Vision holder, I am sure how dangerous that can be." Mona nodded to what you said, as it is very difficult to control a newly blessed Vision bearer's power. If left unchecked, it could very well be catastrophic. Hence, why they are all trained or train themselves if no one is capable of training them.
"You are right, Your Grace. I can teach you to connect to water and see if you progress there. Here," Mona points to the water, and a water bubble rises, "try to match this water bubble. Close your eyes, and feel the water around you. Then try to separate a bit of it to make a water ball." You closed your eyes and focused on the power humming on your skin. Although you had doubts about being able to control the water the way Mona does now, you were also hopeful since you could feel the power. Switching your focus to the river, you feel the water run across your feet, and the little water splashes when it hits the rocks. You imagined a water bubble of similar size to float above from the river. Few minutes pass, and the power grew stronger and more focused, but did not do what you wanted. Frustrated, you opened eyes and stomped, creating a splash.
"I am sorry, Mona, but I can't do it. It's not working for me, and I have tried briefly with the forest and the earth during my pregnancy and a couple times after here... but nothing happens." Sighing, you get up from your boulder and pick up your eerily quiet baby. Worried, you looked them over and saw that they were okay physically. Their attention was behind you, and they raised their tiny little arms to grab whatever got their attention. Turning around, you saw the giant water bubble hovering over the river. Looking back down, your baby giggled with glee and waved their arms around. "Well, it seems I was wrong. Thank you, my little star." You kissed their chubby cheeks as they laughed, their hands meeting your face as they are trying to keep you there. Your heart warmed at the adorable action and thought to change the water bubble's shape to a heart. Looking back, the water floating above the river had changed but a sphere to a heart. Gently grabbing their small hand, you pointed at the heart. "See? Mommy loves you, little one. I love you so much."
Your baby giggled and leaned closer to your face, mimicking your actions earlier and giving back sloppy kisses. Mona laughed lightly, keeping quiet so you could enjoy your precious time with your baby. Astra stopped the sloppy kisses and stared at the water heart. Then they waved their little hands and loudly made their cute baby noises. Confused, you took their one of their hands, thinking that maybe they wanted to grip your finger again. Seeing no reaction, you looked up at Mona, who had stopped laughing to gape in amazement behind you. You turned towards the water heart and saw a much smaller water bubble being formed. You gasped, which apparently broke the focus of your baby, and the water dropped. Hearing the telltale signs of a crying fit, you quickly but gently bounced little Astra as an ear-splitting cry rang out.
"Your Grace.... it may be rude to ask now, but... how old is the little Star?" Mona looked back at you as you let your own water bubble fall and focused on calming Astra, feeling the water level rise for a split moment and then returning to normal.
"... 3 months. I had early labor due to the stress, and Astra had nearly died." Mona's face paled as your eyes saddened. You sat down on the boulder, lightly patting Astra on the back as she calmed down. "I was already heavily pregnant when I "descended," and I was being chased back and forth by civilians for around 2 months before I went into premature labor. Astra wasn't breathing, and I had to pat her gently on the back a couple times until she took her first breath and her first cry. I can't even remember the date of her birth, only vaguely counted the days from sunrise and sunset." The anger in your heart rose, but you squashed it down. It wasn't Mona's fault, so you won't make it so. The rushing water from the river was all you could hear as the tension rose. You inhaled and rose to your feet, having had enough for today. "Let's go back. I am sure they are done setting up, and Mona? Please don't take it to heart. It was not your fault."
"..Yes, Your Grace."

Calculating the stars...

Ah-ha! I have finished divining your fate young one!
Mona says as she finishes twirling the bright blue circle of symbols in her hands.
She hums to herself for a moment, then clears her throat, "Ahem-hem, I will now declare your fate today... an Aquarius, Oooo! You're season has just passed, but luckily we're still in your age so you're a little better off than most of the zodiac."
She takes a seat on her desk chair, she's communicating with you via a standing pool of water that she maintains hovering above her desk like a mirror.
"On relationships, someone out there might need your help today Aquarius, though you know how it is, they might not be able to ask for it directly! Silence is often when communication is most needed."
Mona sips her tea, tapping on her water mirror, rippling your ask that's shimmering in it.
"This month, you'll remember that you grow the most when you confront the unknown. This is a commendable move even for someone who believes every boundary must be broken at some point. Stay feral, haha!"
"Your main challenge to overcome right now is putting aside hard decisions until you've sorted those big emotions out. Destiny really is a balance between what other people want, and what we want. You'll surely find a happy medium if you keep trying."
Mona gives you a reassuring smile, a fond twinkle in her eyes.
"You know how much I love to hear you, my North Star! Feel free to ask again when you feel lost once more! Or perhaps feel free to send me some advice too, Creator knows- oh excuse me- you know how I need side business ideas..."
Mona shoots you one last grin, waving goodbye as the portal mirror splashes away.

If you're wondering this horoscope was based on the app CoStar, which I mostly use as a way to store my birthchart, but they also do daily horoscope etc.
(But my far wiser in zodiac studies Libra says I should use a different app for horoscope so take with a grain of salt)
