Praise Report (5/3/23)
Jumping the gun on my next Praise Report. Wanted to make sure I shared this good news before I forgot about it. This was a literal answer to prayer for my family.
So my Dad’s cousin had not been feeling well lately, being short on breath and energy, and had been in and out of the hospital. Just the other day he was scheduled for surgery. But when the doctors looked him over, they couldn’t find anything wrong. SO NO SURGERY WAS REQUIRED! My family and I had been praying for him, that some miraculous healing would befall on him. AND HALLELUJAH, HE GOT IT! And we hope it stays that way. He’s been a huge blessing to our family and so many others. He’s so incredibly generous with his wealth, and using God’s blessings to bless others. We want him to stick around as long as possible to continue being a shining light in this world. Thank you God for answering our prayer, and that we still have people like him spreading kindness, blessings, and love in this world.
And for the light-hearted video of the week, a reaction to other unbelievable moments: https://youtu.be/fPebElqpXzc

Incurable" – When a Word Becomes a Hammer
by Dr.Harald Wiesendanger– Klartext What the mainstream media is hiding Sometimes, a single word is enough to hit someone with the force of a sledgehammer. This includes the medical assessment that a cure is impossible. If one day a doctor told me that my illness was “incurable,” How would I deal with that? Am I stuck in shock? Am I falling mentally into the abyss? Am I giving up? Instead of…

Hello there.
[Slides elegantly into the tags]
Do you ever think about Emotion?
Of course you do. How could you not. But do you ever think about this exchange specifically:
Tumblr media
“You’re not Adrien!”
Because Adrien is sweet, and forgiving, and kind. In fact, kindness is his defining quality — Marinette herself made sure of it:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“I’ll never tell another boy I love him before I know everything about him! Whether he’s kind or not, thoughtful, what he does outside of school and with who… I’ll know everything.”
But.
Do you ever think about Adrien’s development in S4 and especially S5?
Overtime, he has grown resentful of a system that exploits him relentlessly.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Of the people he gave countless chances to, only to be let down over and over again.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Of the web of lies and half-truths he constantly finds himself tangled into. A web that is only growing bigger, stickier, and trickier to escape.
Tumblr media
And the Senticousins. Do you ever think about them?
Tumblr media
Do you ever think about how they are each other’s reflection, identical and opposites all at once?
Tumblr media
“When you bring a living being into this world, you have a responsibility towards them. Your duty is to protect them, love them, help them discover the true meaning of their existence. To deprive them of that… is monstruous.”
Tumblr media
“To have a child is to help them blossom, to grow, to find themselves and to be free!”
Do you ever think about their opposite character arcs in S5 — one learning mercy and trust, the other developing a rage so strong it could destroy the world?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Do you ever think that if Felix can now have this exchange with his mum, and mean it:
Tumblr media
“They’re all monsters!”
“Not all of them.”
Then there’s nothing stopping Adrien from saying this:
Tumblr media
“Look closer, Marinette. They’re the monsters.”

God, My Husband and My Chiropractor
God, My Husband and My Chiropractor
I am by no means comparing my chiropractor to God, but I have noticed both have similarities. Years ago, I fell down a flight of stairs — 12 steps from top to bottom…..on MY bottom. The breath was knocked out of me and I felt like a compressed-together accordion. I had a serious back injury and lived in pain, even after many chiropractic and medical treatments. For years we prayed for my…

Two Sabbath Incidents
Tumblr media
1 Not long afterward Jesus was walking through some wheat fields on a Sabbath. His disciples were hungry, so they began to pick heads of wheat and eat the grain. 2 When the Pharisees saw this, they said to Jesus, “Look, it is against our Law for your disciples to do this on the Sabbath!”
3 Jesus answered, “Have you never read what David did that time when he and his men were hungry? 4 He went into the house of God, and he and his men ate the bread offered to God, even though it was against the Law for them to eat it—only the priests were allowed to eat that bread. 5 Or have you not read in the Law of Moses that every Sabbath the priests in the Temple actually break the Sabbath law, yet they are not guilty? 6 I tell you that there is something here greater than the Temple. 7 The scripture says, ‘It is kindness that I want, not animal sacrifices.’ If you really knew what this means, you would not condemn people who are not guilty; 8 for the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”
9 Jesus left that place and went to a synagogue, 10 where there was a man who had a paralyzed hand. Some people were there who wanted to accuse Jesus of doing wrong, so they asked him, “Is it against our Law to heal on the Sabbath?”
11 Jesus answered, “What if one of you has a sheep and it falls into a deep hole on the Sabbath? Will you not take hold of it and lift it out? 12 And a human being is worth much more than a sheep! So then, our Law does allow us to help someone on the Sabbath.” 13 Then he said to the man with the paralyzed hand, “Stretch out your hand.”
He stretched it out, and it became well again, just like the other one. 14 Then the Pharisees left and made plans to kill Jesus. — Matthew 12:1-14 | Good News Translation (GNT) Good News Translation® (Today’s English Version, Second Edition) © 1992 American Bible Society. Okay, but like, what if the reason Claw Noir seemed perfectly fine and mobile after getting cataclysmed, was because he sustained so much nerve damage from using the miraculous incorrectly, that he actually couldn't feel it

I think the "men like trees walking" in today's entry is a Biblical reference, not a Shakespeare reference. It's from Mark 8:24. Jesus restores sight to a blind man by laying hands on his eyes, and the first time he does it the man says he can now see people, but they look like "trees walking around". So Mina's referring to how she can't see the people on the beach clearly through the fog.
I'm sure someone who's read the whole book more recently than me can pick out some interesting symbolism in this...
