the best thing maggie stiefvater ever did was NOT having ronan dream a magical device that would "fix" adam's hearing. the best thing maggie ever did was adam knowing that he did not need or want to be "fixed". the best thing maggie ever did was ronan knowing that adam did not want or need to be fixed and accepting it without a second thought.

one thing i love about leverage is the fact that the characters generally seem to... communicate with each other? like they do have their secrets, of course, and we see these the reveal of these secrets playing out in different ways (damien-eliot, parker-archie, even sophie's real name to an extent) but for the most part there's no petty miscommunications. like yeah, the team bickers and they argue and they have their secrets but they actually do care about each other and communicate really fucking well! there's no jealousy or weirdness about parker being close with eliot from hardison, there's no nate hiding his alcoholism storyline. it's just... they talk to each other and the writers don't drag shit out for drama. and i think that's why the big bang job and the inside job work so well, because these characters know each other so well that it's jarring for these secrets to come to light.

something that makes me super emotional about cellbit and roier’s relationship in particular is just. how much it perfectly showcases the qsmp’s central theme of uniting communities and languages. because while yes, most of the time, they default to speaking in english when in groups of people, but when they’re alone, the two tend to just speak their native languages. roier solely speaks in spanish and cellbit solely speaks in portuguese. and they UNDERSTAND each other!! cellbit has said he prefers speaking in portuguese because he feels like he can be the most honest and true to himself because that’s what he wants to be with roier and despite not speaking each other’s language they can still BE that with each other and. augh. they’re everything to me

The Outside They Built
"Go outside" adults say
But don't loiter at the mall
Movie tickets cost 15
Popcorn costs twice that
A concert, thrice
(If you're lucky)
No skating on the sidewalk
Even if you could, it's broken
Don't wander too far in the woods
It's dangerous
Dirty
Arcades aren't enriching
But if you really want it, pay up
Park closes at 10
Beach closes at 7
"Why are you inside
On your phone?
Kids your age
Never get out anymore."

I can't be the only person who finds it somewhat disappointing how strangely reluctant the HSBC team seems to be to utilize sprite mode

You know, I joke a lot about Ranma 1/2 cracking my egg, but I do want to say that it only really started the process and the numerous TGTF webcomics I read back in the day did a lot to continue it. The Wotch, El Goonish Shive, Abstract Gender, Misfile, Sparkling Generation Valkyrie Yuuki...I was obsessed with all of these as a young teen and just constantly fantasized about being turned into a girl...
Still took me an embarrassingly long amount of time to realize most guys don't fantasize about that.

“There is also the baby who stays a baby because he is treated like one. Who could possibly grow up in a pillowed room where night and day are simulated? To quote the film itself, ‘staying in this room is what will make you sick.’”
