I suddenly got a baaad feeling...

How was Blast able to defeat Elder Centipede when he refused the transaction with God? When he was this desperate that he even had God's cube with him and EC wrecked an entire city and thats why God descended down on him because he was in such a situation?

So what if Blast found the countermeasure...and then brought said countermeasure back in time? Or made them go back in time?

"If you had spoken about it sooner, Saitama-sensei could have resolved this already."

If Saitama is the countermeasure Blast is seeking...then Blast wouldn't have needed to fight against God for 20 years, right? That's a lot of time to waste to have no countermeasure but trying to seal it away.

If all you need is Saitama to travel back in time to resolve the God issue before it even began, then that is an effective countermeasure. Before we even got monsters.

Hmm...

*rubs chin* One of those does look awfully lot like Saitama's silhouette...hell, in the rewritten chapters, one of them looks like it has King's hairdo and another one looks like Genos' head silhouette and we already know Boris and Beast King lookalikes.

But wouldn't doing so rewrite history? Create a paradox where Saitama himself would not exist because he became a hero and this strong BECAUSE of monsters terrorizing civilians? And becoming a hero saved him because it gave him a sense of purpose again and without, he would not exist because he lost the will to live?

But he could save the entire world from monsters, from turning into monsters and dying to said monsters...if he ended God before it began...but in doing so he would drastically change everyone's fates.

Oh no...

This feels like a self-fulfilling prophecy.

It would not even be the first time Blast has seemingly managed to trap people into feeling they have to set a good example, to be beholden to their responsibilities of being a good hero by self-sacrifice.
