The stream is part of nearly 4,000 miles of streams, creeks, and rivers that empty into the Maumee River, creating the largest watershed in the Great Lakes. But this creek was also more than just a tributary of the Maumee. It served as part of the Miami and Erie Canal. 1880 - Oliver House, Toledo, Ohio --- The Greek Revival Style Oliver House, located at 27 Broadway Street in Toledo, Ohio has quite the history as it still stands and operates today. --- Isaiah Rogers was the architect who designed the building, which was built by the William Oliver family who owned the land, as Oliver was one of Toledo's earliest real estate investors. --- The Oliver House overlooks the "Middlegrounds," and early site of railroad, immigration, and commercial activity.
