A major disinformation and Russian propaganda channel called "Donbass Devushka", which published a fake version of "secret Pentagon documents," is hosted by a former U.S. Navy officer who was recently discharged from military service.

The "Mila Girl from Luhansk," who hosts podcasts with pro-Kremlin propagandists, turned out to be Sarah Bils, a divorced American from New Jersey. She was exposed by members of the "North Atlantic Fella Organization" (#NAFO), an online community that fights Russian propaganda.

On Twitter, "Donbass Devushka" posted filtered photos of herself and wrote that her name was Mila.

NAFO collated the photos and other information from one of the podcast videos and found out that her real name is Sarah Bils, but she had recently officially changed it to another, more Russian name. Bils is a former U.S. Navy officer, recently discharged from active duty.

Bils herself claims she was "kicked out" of the military because of her "leftist views." Former associates have expressed concern about her mental health and have called her a habitual liar. Beals' mother claimed that her daughter often made up stories.

On social media, "Donbass Devushka" claimed she was traveling between the Russian city of Rostov-on-Don and the Ukrainian city of Luhansk in 2014, but in reality, Bils was suing her ex-husband in Oak Harbor at the time.

When Russia began a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, Bils created several Twitter accounts and added Telegram in April.

Her Telegram channel publishes more "banned" Twitter content, including memes, fake images, and ultra-violence: such as cheering the killing of a U.S. volunteer who went to Ukraine, videos of dead Ukrainians, and supporting videos of a Ukrainian POW being beheaded by Russian mercenaries from the "Wagner" PMC.

In January 2023 Jack Teixeira of the Massachusetts National Guard shared hundreds of classified documents on his Discord server. The Bellingcat investigation revealed the distribution of documents from Teixeira's Discord to 4Chan, Telegram and Twitter. Two versions of the key documents were distributed: one showed that Russian losses far exceeded Ukrainian ones, and the other badly edited version showed the opposite. Belligcat claims that the falsified versions were created by the Telegram channel "Donbass Devushka", but Bils denies this claim.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson used the faked version circulated on "Donbass Devushka's" Telegram channel to claim that Ukraine had a 7-to-1 troop loss ratio and is "losing the war" (video). The faked versions were spread by pro-Kremlin propagandists, and "Donbass Devushka" began supporting the well-known Z-channel. In November 2022, The Bell journalists found out that this channel received money from Yevgeny Prigozhin (head pf the PMC "Wagner") and could be linked to the FSB.

i try not to think too hard about this one because of the guilt 😂 it’s a fandom trumps hate fill, which means that i absolutely WILL write it. someday. the idea is that it’s fake married, but twice over: mi6 assigns a gorgeous wunderkind to provide technical support as bond infiltrates an arms dealer or somesuch, and then years later, after skyfall, bond and the wunderkind (now q) have to go undercover as a married couple again at a couples resort that is a front for some nefarious business.

“Come in, 007,” Tanner crackled through his earpiece. “Tell her I don’t need micromanaging,” he said bluntly. “Well, you’re getting it regardless,” M’s voice cut in past Tanner’s protestations, as he knew she would. “Initial satellite scans have informed us that Mr. Friedrich’s security systems are far more advanced than we originally anticipated. The reason there are so few guards is that everything is automated—and on a closed system, so we can’t help you from here.” “Shall I just blow a hole in the wall, then?” Bond asked dryly. “Control yourself, Bond. We’ve detailed a specialist to assist you with the technical portions of the job. Try not to get him killed.” “That was once, and he was an FSB plant.” “Regardless,” M said unsympathetically. “Check your phone for the details. We’ll likely lose you once you’re inside the building, which is what the technical assistance is for. And I don’t need to remind you—the German government does not know we’re running this operation, and we’d like to keep it that way.” Tanner muttered something uncomplimentary-sounding from far enough away that the microphone couldn’t pick it up. “Quite,” M said crisply, obviously not caring either whether Bond had heard or hadn’t, and clicked off as abruptly as she’d come on. Bond rolled his eyes and glanced at his phone, taking in the baby-faced features of a tech even greener-looking than the teenager the CIA had running SciOps. Lovely. At least they’d be close enough to speak in person instead of over comms; if he had to tell one more idiot not to touch their ear when speaking into an earpiece he might turn actively homicidal instead of his usual passive lethality.

IT-HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE

last year i watched it part 2 and went insane when i realized bill denbrough & steven crain are the same character. 😔 still salty that all the richie/eddie fic means i couldn’t prompt this for yuletide last year. anyway, this is a short-ish relationship study of bill & steven encountering each other in the LA writer’s circuit, sort-of-accidentally falling in love, & discovering that actually each of the horrors they’ve written about are real, and that maybe they’re attracted to the darkness and those who write it.

Steven has heard of Bill Denbrough, of course. Blurbs with words like “spine-chilling,” blockbusting movies… crappy endings. He’s one of the bigger horror writers in the field, and based in LA, too, but the two of them have to go to Vegas to meet. They’re at CreeperCon, the biggest horror convention in the Western US, and someone has the bright idea of getting Steven to fill in when Joe Hill drops out of the headline panel. Steven’s a big enough name for it, to be sure, but he’s the only nonfiction writer on a panel ostensibly about horror inspiration. He thinks everyone in the audience knows how he gets his inspiration. They shake hands before the panel. Denbrough is distracted, glancing out at the crowd. Searching for someone, maybe, Steven thinks. He knows that ever since… ever since Hill House, he finds himself looking for Nell at the oddest times. Denbrough has a firm handshake, bordering on too-tight, but his hand is cool and dry and Steven has had worse meetings. They take their seats, plush and yet somehow terribly unergonomic red velvet chairs all in a line behind a long table. Ruth Ware is moderating; Steven makes a mental note to tell her how much he loved her latest novel. (He hasn’t read it. He’s not much of a horror fan.) The panel goes well. Steven talks a little about interviewing technique. Denbrough is wry and self-deprecating, in spite of the way his latest film grossed $600 million. Steven doesn’t see Nell. Everything is fine.

Improvement Post

My art progress is really really long since 2015 the first time I existed on internet.

Here's my OC Vadim Trifonov, he's a FSB Spetsgruppa Alpha "A" operative with rank of Captain.

He exists since 2016 as a RP OC when I was a wee lil 15 years old kid and really interested in spy movies like TMFU 2015 and James Bond.

He's really special to me because he came to me through a dream. I saw a man looking like how I draw him telling his name was Vadim Trifonov, and he was a really gentle, kind and selfless man.

He also gave me some sort of comfort and coping as well so he's really special to me. One of reason why I just don't end myself, is who will finish writing about him and edit it out.

Here we will see the progress of it!

September 2020 - Digital Art (Latest)

It took me like 4-5 hours to draw this considering I don't use line art and have to fix it by painting over and over.

I also got the hang of painting digitally due to experimenting with acrylics and poster paints and reading tutorials.

Russian friends are also helping with sending me images or Russian handbooks and sites to see so his uniform isn't all that inaccurate. I usually don't draw ranks because it's really small and like how friends said, "Yuri spends 10 hour on the face and shading and then just fuck it on minor details," which was true on this matters ahhahaha.

July 2020 - Pixel Art

One of the stills from How Unfortunate art and it's really nice besides how meme material it is (Vadim's forced smile and lenny face like expressions). It's intentionally shaded only in two colours because I don't like being a fussy wussy animating things and to show dark-light in rather not eye hurting way and I use darker line art compared to usual way I do (use a lighter tone of brown/darker or orangey one) so his expressions would be easily seen.

May 2020 - Watercolour

I'm really invested in FSB and Chekist stuff so his uniform is correct for now and I like how abstract it is.

I also got my watercolour style and I really like lining with brush now.

January 2020 - Pixel Art

First time getting into pixel art thanks to Russian and Ukrainian and Texan friend telling me to do it. I forgot there's a tool to yknow, line the shit outta it and circle tool. So that's why it looks so thicc. It's also blurry because that's the first time I learn to resize pixel art.

2019 - Digital

I got into modern militaria stuff (never a fan of modern tanks and ships tho but I like the planes and soldiers) and here's Vadim with slightly accurate tactical gear.

I haven't done much digital due to how time consuming it is for reasons.

November 2018 - Watercolour

When I didn't get to art club I just actually put him somewhere. I want to retain his secret service stuff and I don't wanna change much of his bio so I just put him as "FSB" even the uniform wasn't really that accurate.

I also recently studied anatomy more and prefer slightly realistic facial feature because I was quite into Shoujo animes and KyoAni styled stuff and it only helps with lining thinly.

2018 - Digital Art

First digital rendition of Vadim? It used Paint Tool Sai which also I just don't like it for some reason (I prefer Clip Studio Paint like what I'm using currently due to basic tools are already good and Photoshop for larger images and edits since brushes there are good too?)

It's blurry because it's for Tapas.io title image so it's small and the first rendition of my current art style (the no line art painting) and look how I attempted my current semi realist stuff hahahha.

2016 - Watercolor

He was listed as RP OC of an Art Club thingy (you know like Daisuki Club). Also yes I was anime artist fight me.

Wrapping up exams, which means I’ll have more time to write the first chapter of PIV (Peace In Violence) and finally post my FSB AU!

PIV Chapter One has no deadline as of yet, but FSB will be released before Jan 1st.

FellSwap Bronze is my FellSwap AU! I’ve worked tirelessly on this AU and its world building (LOVE world building), trying to somewhat stand out from all the other creative FellSwap/Fell related AU’s! I’ve researched, took inspiration, formulated, brainstormed, and signed over my soul to Satan for this AU.

FINALLY got around to playing the demo for @bonelyheartsclub and it was absolutely delightful! Every character fit their roles perfectly and the voice acting...Oh👌 Such incredible talent by so many people!!!@improvidence318 also never ceases to impress! I never liked or disliked Nox, but after hearing and seeing him, I’m simping all over this man. I can proudly say that I’m simping over 9 skeletons!

IF YOU HAVE A CANON CHARACTER, answer in the sense of what made you want to play them, how you have come to interpret them differently -

PART ONE. what thing(s) initially inspired your character ? Okay so I’ve mentioned once today that I watched Spooks s7 because of SatanFish’s Lucas muse, and there was this awesome blonde, and we discussed the relationship between Lucas and said awesome blonde. But what inspired me was, frankly, how well-written Ros was, even though I only knew the nicer, neater, second half of her story at first. Here was someone who spent episode s7e01 kicking FSB ass with forks and ballpoint pens, only to fall apart at the death of Adam. Who, in s7e02, trashed a fucking hotel room in her rage, which was impressive even without knowing the context for it, and then went on to nearly twist a man’s balls off and was positively chipper afterwards. Who, in s7e03, treated the death of Jawad as a tick on her to-do list, only to struggle to keep herself together when calling Jo after the explosion... and then who went on to dare her boss’ boss to fire her and find someone better (in front of her boss’ boss’ boss)... only to say he can’t because there is no one better, so please stfu and let her do her job. I mean, I could seriously go on episode by episode, because Ros is fucking amazing.

I think it was the chance to play a character who wasn’t a handful of stereotypes that inspired me. There was so much to explore with Ros. What motivated her decisions, what her relationships with her colleagues were like, how she balanced work and personal life, how she justified decisions to herself, where her limits lied. She was amazingly written and there was so much to work with, and how could I turn down the chance to explore all that?

PART TWO. how has their personality developed from their first concept ? As much as I shout now about ‘she’s not an Ice Queen’, I’ll admit I did lean towards fanon characterizations when I first started writing Ros, and it’s taken dozens of threads and countless discussions ooc to bring her to a balance between the emotional and the cold hard logic that I think characterizes Ros.

I’ve also gotten the chance to explore something the show never delved into beyond one scene of Adam and Ros in bed together, which is her personal life. Exploring Ros outside of the confines of the Section Chief Top Tier Spy has been an adventure, and has opened up new insights into her character.

PART THREE. how has their appearance developed from their first incarnation ? She hasn’t, really. I honestly don’t think I could separate Ros Myers from Hermioine Norris. Norris did a phenomenal job of making Ros sympathetic, badass, awe-inspiring, flawed, and ultimately human. The expressions I write are 100% taken from her nuanced portrayal, and I couldn’t see Ros without Norris’ face.

PART FOUR. what do you think most makes your character unique ? Have I mentioned that one article once called Ros the best female character on British television? Because I couldn’t be more proud of that fact if I’d been one of the original Spooks writers. Ros is... she’s older (closer to 40 than 30). She’s a woman in a field dominated by men. She’s flawed, omfg is she flawed, and we’re meant to read her as flawed, not as some delicate misunderstood flower. We’re supposed to watch her destroying someone’s life and go ‘what the fuck you bitch’ and she doesn’t magically make it better. She lives with the consequences of her actions. There are lots of badass female action-oriented characters out there. What sets Ros apart is that she’s not an attractive 20-something, she’s not a martial arts expert able to backflip across a room to kick her opponent in the face, she’s not hiding some deep traumatic past, she’s not trying to atone for something, and she’s not all but perfect. She’s deeply flawed, unrepentant about some of those flaws, confident beyond belief in her skills and abilities, able to outthink her colleagues, supremely protective of the people she’s sworn to guard, and sometimes she loses.
