"I mean it Optimus, you look like you have slept in nearly a week,I know Cybertronian's probably work differently but you still need rest" the human argue at the Autobot leader, he hadn't been taking care of himself that much was evident to everyone at base. Ratchet had told him off for it too, the others weren't willing to talk back to their leader, but Optimus human charge, They are determined to make sure he rests. They softly scold him as he makes his way towards his quarters.

Optimus vented softly at their persisting concern, touched by their care for one so much larger than themselves. "Your care for my well-being is much appreciated,but I can guarantee you, I am fine," he states, trying to plead his case, he had more work to do, scans to run and areas that needed to be patrolled. “Don't give me that shit Op, your optics look like they are ready to fall out of your head!” They argue back, it only earns a sigh from the Prime, he knows he's not getting out of this, they were to firey when it came to him looking after himself.

Settling back against the wall of his berth, he tucked his legs beneath him and gazed down at their small form nestled against his chassis. After a moment's quiet contemplation, he conceded softly, "Very well. I will take your advice and recharge this night cycle. Satisfied?" His optics shoot from them, he knows if he looks them in the eyes he wouldn't be able to fight them at all. “I will be once you lay down”

A gentle rumble built in his spark at the feeling their presence brought, even as his systems attempted to power down in preparation for repairs. Some battles were won through force, this one was going to be won by his charge, and they knew full well they were already winning, their stubbornness reminded him of megaton at times, not willing to back down, and they were willing to take even himself on For that, he was grateful, they didn't shun away just because he was a prime.

They lay against his chassis watching him vent trying to fall into recharge. It's silent between them for a long while before they finally move. His optics flicker back on watching them move. They sit up against his chassis. One of their hands reached up to his face, tracing it slowly. " can't sleep?" Their voice is tender now, the fight from earlier had left them as they watch Optimus struggle to find recharge.

Though his systems urged him toward recharge, his processor refused to shut down, Optimus could not fully power down; he was too wired, wanting to get things done. His optics flickered warmly as small hands traced gentle patterns along the seams and plating of his facial structure, he into the gentle touch and a deep noise vibrated through his chassis.

" rest does not come as easy," he rumbled softly, careful not to disturb their exploration. Lifting a digit, he softly returned their touch, letting its tip graze their back with the lightest of pressures. "Forgive me, my processor won't shut down." He sighed, Duty was not easily set aside for him, so many things were at stake.

Gazing down at their small form outlined against the blue glow of his sparkchamber. " talk to me Op, what's wrong?" They ask softly. Their eyes looked up at him worried over what was wrong, they press little pecked kiss to his helm. In truth Optimus was frustrated and didn't know how to address it. For a moment, no words came as buried memories and emotions swirled within.

Then, venting softly, he spoke in a low rumble. "There have been many vorns since last I self serviced. Much has changed, I'm as you would say ‘Pent up’ " His voice took on a weary edge. "The burdens of leadership are not easily set aside, even in recharge. Responsibility for so many weighs heavy, and some days the path ahead seems shrouded in darkness. I strive always to make the choices that will safeguard our future...yet doubt can linger that I have made the right ones. And I have Neglected my own sensors"

He gazed off into the distance as centuries of struggle flickered across his optics. "It's something I haven't had the opportunity to fix." His plating fluttered faintly, a faint expression of inner turmoil.

They lean up and press an ever so soft to his lips, " can I help anyway?" They inquiry. Small hands cupping his face as they continue peppering small kisses across his frame. "Blowjob?" The human jokingly asks as laughter spills from their lips. "Sorry, sorry." They laugh more, pressing their face into his chassis.

Optimus sighs wearily, field damping the warmth of your affectionate touches. While their humor and willingness to aid are well-intentioned, certain acts would go against his principles.

"I thank you for the offer of assistance," he rumbles gently, servos enveloping your smaller hands where they cradle his faceplate. Optics crinkling, he adds, "But I fear certain... biological functions may cause unwarranted distress to your human systems."

Lifting them closer, he gazes down at them with a small smile. His field radiates gratitude and care. While desire is not unknown to him, duty to his cause and their safety comes first.

"Optimus the size doesn't really phase me if that's what you're worried about" they reply moving further down his form. "Would it help you recharge with some release?" It's an inquiry while they slowly move down his tanks to the interface panel. They run their hands over his form gently in circles. “I'm offering Optimus, I know it may be hard to understand but you deserve to relax and have someone take the burdens off your shoulders even if it's just for a little”

Optimus vents softly, gazing down at them with gentle optics. While their intention is clearly to provide relief and pleasure, his worry is certain intimacies that could endanger their small frame.

Still, their caring touch along his plating brings serenity amid endless conflicts in his own mind. "You have a kind spark," he rumbles softly. "However, as your Guardian I cannot in good conscience engage in acts that could risk your well-being, no matter how well-meaning the offer." Lifting their face with a digit, he strokes their cheek with another.

"Optimus just for one night, what do you want, not what you think, what do you want" they ask while pressing soft kisses to his plating. Orion stirs within at the words,

Their delicate touches along seams and plating bring solace yet kindle fleeting fantasies, he wanted them, but it wasn't something he could allow him.

"For one night don't be the leader just be Orion, relax, let me look after you" they argue back, and in that moment Optimus realises that he wasn't going to win this argument. " trust me, i know you struggle with trust but trust me " they state pressing kisses further down his interface panel.

He Venting softly. “I haven't done this before” he states. He's worried over so many things but the moment their lips press against a tender spot it has him gasping loudly, as a servo gripping the side of his berth. His armour plates part with a hiss, baring the metal within to your exploration.

They smile as his spike pressurises. Small hands wrap around him. Slowly moving up and down, they slowly press a kiss to the base. Their eyes flicker down to his valve. "Just relax" they call out to him.

Optimus releases a soft ventilation at their careful touch, mental disciplines the sole barrier against fully surrendering to sensation, He traces their back with gentle digits as their tongue teases along heated metal and wiring. An age-old ache stirs within as desire threatens long-banished fantasies.

The human's exploration pulls sounds from his vocalizer unheard since vorns ago, He meets their upward gaze, One of His digits trace cheek in gratitude.

One of their hands moves down to Optimus' valve slowly teasing him open, they run their tongue along nodes as they move further down. Their eyes widen at the sweet taste. They dive in for more of Optimus' sweet taste. A soft shudder runs through Optimus' frame as their questing fingers dance across nodes and explore, delving deeper. It has him arching with a sinful moan slipping from him.

He releases a quiet rumble at the sensations. His spike throbs as their tongue teases unseen nodes, coaxing transfluid rich glowing arousal from hidden manifolds. Their mouth drinks it as quickly as they can, and for a moment he worries over the effect of it in a human's system, but the worry is thrown out the window the moment they take his spike into their mouth.

A whimpered sound leaves him, optics shutter at the sinful feeling of their mouth against his spike. "Damn you really are pent up" they tease, lips tracing patterns against his spike, lapping up the small amounts of transfluid dripping from him. "God you taste amazing, so sweet " they call out before trying to take him further into their mouth.

Optimus releases a soft groan at their teasing words, optics brightening at their evident enjoyment. The praise and eagerness to please stir long-dimmed responses deep within his core.

He ventilations deeply as their lips and glossa work flicking lights that line his spike, coaxing fresh waves of transfluid from him. He had never had a partner tend to these sensors so caringly. So many things he didn't know were possible.

His servos gently cradle them against his spike's pulsing heat, digits tracing their form in wordless rapture, moans, cries and deep vents fall from him. They take him further into their mouth transfluid leaking from the sides as they lap up the sweet pink fluid. pulling away from a moment before moving right back down to his valve, rotating between both as they work Optimus up slowly. "You look so pretty like this you know" they call out.

Optimus utters a loud gasp as they redouble their attention. “please, please” he all but sobs out, rocking into their touch. Their praise had him melting under them. For the first time since before memory itself. strain-knotted lines, awakening his frame and he's nearly begging for release.

As ecstasy rises within burning waves, "That's it, so good for me, gonna overload for me sweetheart?" They call out, lips wrapping back around his valve node, sucking harder as they press their hand into Optimus' Valve, thrusting in and out quickly. Tremors run through Optimus' frame at their eager ministrations bring him swiftly cresting toward his peak.

Their hands and sweet mouth coax ecstasy ripening within hidden nodes newly sensitised. Pleasure rends seams locked up his systems And as peak claims his senses, he cries out rocking desperately into each touch.

When Optimus finally overloads, he goes lax against his berth. Their lips and tongue work swiftly with licking up more of his transfluid. his optics online again it's to the view of their lips against his spike lapping up the pink fluid.

Optimus vents softly as awakening creeps back into weary systems, steam vents from him, fans kick in as he lays there body almost like jelly. He trails gentle digits across their cheek, “what are you doing?” he asked with a static to his voice.

They continue drinking up his transfluid, trying not to let it drip down onto the berth, eager lips taking as much as they physically can, their smaller body leant against his thighs as they clean him. “enjoying myself” they chuckle. His systems sink into peace, welcoming the touch as they devoted attention to every crease of his plating. They are dedicated to making sure no drop goes to waste, worshipping each sensor until static fades into serenity.

“never thought you'd taste like Blue V” they chuckle while lapping up more of him, when they do finally pull away from his spike it's with a loud pop.

"I think I'm going to have to make this a common thing, because i rather enjoy how nice you taste," they call out. Their tongue is stained pink but they continue sucking the sweet tasting liquid from his plating. Optimus ventilates softly at their suggestion, optics half lidded.

Optimus vents softly as recharge's gentle tide pulls at weary systems so recently stirred alive. His frame relaxes into deepening rest with a contented rumble, his human's smaller form nestled safe against his thighs and interface panel still thrumming warmth. Their face pressed into the metal as they find sleep against his form.

“You did what with a human!?” Ratchet nearly shouts, he looks ready to fall over when Optimus inquires about the effect of Transfluid on a human's system.

“Ratchet please, I will explain but I need to know if it is harmful to a human” he pleads. He's worried about his human ward.

Ratchet sighs as both Ratchet and Optimus stand there researching the effects.

“no it isn't harmful, but you are now getting a full check up and you are going to explain how this happened!” Ratchet growls as he points a digit at the Prime.

Okay so listen up Tfp people I have a theory that might be true. You know how ratchet told the kids the story of Orion and megaton? He said that as megaton left the gladiatorial pits for the political one, ( I love how he made that joke ) he chose to shorten his name? And after the whole council’s thing and the start the war happened and Orion went to the center of their planet to reverse the ill effects and was given the matrix. Then why did op after giving up the matrix and losing his memory call Megatron his original name? Wouldn’t he be called Megatron? And we’re only hearing the story from Rachet’s side, a outsider who wasn’t there at the meeting and probably only heard the story from a higher up. And you know how corrupt they were and desperate to keep their power. So I think op got the matrix very early on and against his will. Besides who would the public believe? A former slave* or the council? ( * A slave who was said to be blood thirsty? )

Lets say that Ophelia brings Silver, Megatron and Optimus to her universe for a visit.

All TFA Bots slowly look up to see TFP Optimus.

TFA Megatron suddenly is very thankful that he has to deal with his Optimus and his 'attack on sight tendencies'.

Silver Aid is suddenly very afraid and reaches for Optimus and Megatron for comfort.

She especially doesn't like the angry looks some of the bots are giving her.

Ophelia tries her best to give everyone a smooth introduction.

Most of the bots get along with tiny Optimus, but take a longer time to warm up to Megatron and Silver Aid.

Megatron watches over Silver Aid like a hawk the enter visit. Even he notices the particular look some of these bots are giving her and he does not like it.

Revealing her relation to Elita One nearly gives some of the bots strokes.

Ok listen up, it's everyone's head canon that Ratchet in tfp was starving himself of energon so the others could eat since they where running so low. But Optimus finds out and he isn't going to let Ratchet get away with this anymore. Sadly, Ratchet doesn't care that Optimus doesn't like what he's doing because Ratchet's "helping" the others out by not eating. Energon supplies are always low after all.

So Optimus takes things into his own hands, and I mean he pops a tit into Ratchet's intake and makes him get energon, the Primes strength succeeds the medics and Ratchet is practically forced to eat.

And of course afterwards, Ratchet gets really addicted to Optimus's massive milkers, after all of the Primes meals he just has to walk nervously over to the Prime for some of that sweet, tasty milk 🤭

Bonus if when Ratchet got captured, he suckled on Megatons tits too, they're bigger than the Primes after all, who wouldn't want to suck on the two most feared, powerful leaders in the history of both earth and Cybertron? Optimus has to take drastic measures when Ratchet refuses to fuel properly, he has to. He can't have his medic going without fuel, and showing his tit into Ratchet's mouth and pushing his head against it until he finally stops thrashing is the most pragmatic decision. Ratchet struggeled and moaned but he didn't do much more once the milk started to pour down his throat. Optimus just patted his head and told him to drink up <3

This way he can't make the excuse of not wanting to waste rations... Everyone else still gets their energon, and Optimus makes sure to drink Ratchet's portion after his, so that his titties are big and full of warm milk that Ratchet can drink later.... mhmm i can't stop imagining Optimus getting Ratchet addicted to his titty milk and now he won't fuel unless it's coming out of a nipple... When he's aboard the Nemesis, the only way to keep him alive is if Megatron nurses him too... Can't have him power down when he's supposed to be working in the lab!

It's even worse if he started getting turned on by it over time, and while he could definitely grind his panels against Optimus while drinking, he absolutely cannot do that with Megatron... or at least, he tries very hard not to, but... a belly full of milk and his hands on soft titties just make him feel so good, so comfortable...

TFP MegaSound is so… good. It’s so timeless. It’s got that je ne sais quoi about it that makes it juicy. It’s bolstered by the fact that in TFP, both Megaton and Soundwave are undeniably really weird. Soundwave is called creepy even by Decepticon standards, he’s taken a multi-million year vow of silence that he breaks once to troll the Autobots, puts smiley faces and meme clips on his visor, all while spying on literally everyone, all the time. Megatron is another level of nuts right from the get-go, he thinks it’s a great idea to shove Unicron’s crystallized blood into his spark to make zombies and then clone ancient dragons to help win the war. They’re terrible and utterly perfect for each other. And that’s not even getting into the fact that they were both gladiators on pre-conflict Cybertron, who were shown to have been at each other’s side since the inception of the Decepticon faction.

Hey there, please don't apologize it's no worries I love AU questions.

So the TFA bots and cons learning about Orion Pax.

Pretty sure all team prime learn about archivist Orion Pax and are like 'Yeah I can see that' (Sentinel and Blackarachnia especially so both nodding they were the ones who had to drag him out of library's when they were studying together)

The cons are amused.

There is a lot of joking when they see height difference and how mcuh smaller Orion was than other bots in the TFP universe.

I think the most reactions would come out of leaning the Orion and Megatronus past and war origin.

Sari:...anyone else think the start of the war in that universe sounds like a bad breakup?

Everyone but Megaton and Optimus: Yes

Megatron and Optimus: No!

The two won't look at each other it's all very embarrassing. Everyone else is stuck between teasing and some re-examining every interaction Megatron and Optimus have ever had realizing it's inevitable.

Bumblebee: I mean one upside... your break up wouldn't start a war because we are already at war?

Would Starscream make a good leader?

So today I'm going to answer a new question about Starscream. Yes I really like this character, so it's often on him that I do analyses X). Anyway ! The question is: Would Starscream make a good leader?

Here, I will answer on each series that I know, except RID15 since it's linked to TFP. So, I will be presenting on these series: G1, Animated, Prime, and Cyberverse.

G1:

First, the G1! So I honestly think yes, he could be a good leader. In Decepticon logic. Let me explain. Starscream is rather quite head-burned in this series, it's true, as well as a little oblivious sometimes (not to say often).

But that is what is expected of a soldier, and especially of the leader of the Seekers. If he doesn't set an example for his troops, it's not Thundercraker and Skywarp who will go into battle, very clearly…

The Decepticons need a leader who does not hesitate to fight, and Starscream never hesitates, he is even the first indignant when Megatron sounds the retreat. In fact, the G1 Starscream is the bravest of the Starscreams. The only thing that seems to scare him is Megatron (and still, not that much).

He proved himself capable of creating effective plans, and his scientific knowledge kept the Decepticons out of terrible trouble.

Also, I remember an episode where everything went wrong with the Decepticons, mainly because Megatron was not there, but also Starscream, because of Blitzwing and Astrotrain. And just because the leader and the SIC were absent it became a huge mess!

To summarize: Astrotrain created an army of trains, Blitzwing took a football field hostage, and the Constructicons created a large labyrinth, at the request of Blitzwing. And in the end, it ended in a general fight against Blitzwing and the Constructicons. While Astrotrain was flooding the city…

Starscream and Megatron were out for an hour maximum, and the other Decepticons had time to do all this disaster…

Also, some of those who reblogd my blog "Why Megatron keeps Starscream in his ranks" talked about a theory that said Megaton didn't kill Starscream, because he kept him always alert. And that if Starscream was able to defeat Megatron, that would mean the Seeker deserved the place of leader. Well, of course this is a theory that can clearly only work in the G1… In Prime, that would greatly surprise me, and let's not talk about the other series. But, in the G1, it could easly be true. It's in fact a really good theory.

But, therefore, that would mean that Megatron sees leadership potential in Starscream, otherwise he wouldn't give him a chance of living.

Next, let's see for Animated. So, I'll be honest: no, he clearly wouldn't make a good leader… I remind you that he isn't even capable of managing his clones…

And those are just parts of himself, so kind of like him. Plus, there are some that aren't necessarily insubordinate, but the original Starscream can't even handle those…

Imagine the carnage it would be with an entire army… Not to mention that as soon as Megatron “died” all the Decepticons jumped ship, leaving Starscream in the lurch… He's a strong fighter, but he hasn't really shown anything that proves any form of leadership abilities.

Prime:

Now let's see for the Starscream from Transformers Prime. So, my answer is simple: yes definitely! There's no doubt that he would make a good leader. In fact, the only thing stopping him from being one are his doubts and psychological issues, most of them because of Megatron.

Without Megatron, Starscream has proven to be far more capable and gifted. It's Megatron who blocking him, but in truth, he would surely make a better leader than him.

As a reminder, he lead the Decepticons for 3 years on Earth. He allowed them to have one of the most thriving energon mines, he didn't specifically mess with the Autobots for a long time, simply because it wasn't necessary. In fact, prior to Megatron's return, the Decepticon cause was doing extremely well. And even better.

Also, if Starscream led the Decepticons during Megatron's absence, it was because the latter asked him to. Megatron realizes that Starscream is capable of leading, if he wasn't, he would never have given him leadership. Whatever Megatron says afterwards, telling him that Starscream mishandled things. It was clearly a lie to belittle Starscream, so that the latter would lose the self-confidence he had regained during the absence of the leader of the Decepticons.

But it could also indicate that Megatron sees Starscream as a threat. I think that's why Megatron hurts Starscream so badly it's because even if the Seeker is power hungry, he would still make an excellent leader, and Megatron know it.

Not to mention that Starscream was a political leader of Vos, and the Commander of the Seekers on Cybertron. He has leadership experience, no doubt on that. Also, he was the one who created most of the attack plans, not Megatron. He is practically the mastermind of the Decepticons, Megatron is just the representation.

Without forgetting that when things degenerate, Starscream is aware that it's not necessary to be stubborn! Kof Like facing a space bridge that explodes Kof. So, even if Megatron is intelligent, it does not prevent Starscream from being more thoughtful and less oblivious than him (running away from a space bridge which is about to explode is not cowardice but common sense).

Cyberverse:

And finally, Cyberverse. So in the series, after "killing" Megatron, he seemed incapable of making decisions. When the others asked him what to do, he just looked confused.

But I just feel like the directors forgot he's the leader of the Seekers. In addition, he seems to be perfectly respected by them. So if he can lead the Seekers, why can't he lead the Decepticons? Even though it was quite comical, I still found it quite strange. The Seekers are still more loyal to Starscream than to Megatron, so that means they respect his leadership, right? * So, it can be concluded that basically Starscream has the abilities to be a leader, and even a good leader. It's just that his own issues and flaws prevent him from fully reaching that potential. * So, that was my answer on a few series. Of course I can't answer all of them, simply because there are some that I haven't seen ^^; … But, whatever X).

TFA Megaton: He finds Tfp soundwave to be interesting and would like to know more about him and why he is so silent. he sees Tfp Starscream as a more clever version of Tfa Starscream but only because Tfp Starscream is a little more secretive with his plans to get rid of Tfp Megatron, he still doesn't like him though. he is impressed with Knockout being a self taught medic but unimpressed with he's need to remain attractive he views it as a huge weakness. Tfa Megatron thinks Breakdown can be too soft. He sees the tension between Knockout and Breakdown as depending on the time of day view it as a strength or a weakness. Megatron sees Arachnid as a crazier version of Blackarachnia, someone who doesn't have a valid reason for doing what she does. he is also aware that Arachnid is nothing but a traitor but who is he to try and tell Tfp Megatron when he knows Tfp Megs won't listen. (same goes for why he won't tell Tfp Megatron about Starscreams plans)

TFA Blitzwing: He doesn't trust Soundwave one bit because to him Soundwave is far to quiet and sneaky. Starscream annoys him due to him being more two faced then Tfa Starscream. Blitzwing sees Knockout as nothing more then a vain medic who may or may not have a thing for Breakdown. He views Breakdown as someone who is only fighting in this war because he didn't have any other choice, He pities Breakdown a little. Blitzwing is terrified or Arachnid, she reminds him to much of the scientists that turned him into a triple charger.

TFA Lugnut: Lugnut respects Soundwaves loyalty to Tfp Megatron and his dedication to keeping his vow of silence. He thinks Starscream should have been dealt with a long time ago and doesn't see why Tfp Megatron keeps him alive. Lugnut appreciates Knockout because he is the only medic on the Tfp team. He sees Breakdown as a strong individual. Arachnid makes him extremely nervous and he hates to be anywhere near her, he would rather toss himself off the nemesis then ever work with her.

Appearance: thick 2C/3A curly dark blond & purple hair at shoulder length. buglike blue eyes and lip piercings ; vertical labret + dolphin bites. 2 tattoos, one of my passed away kitten and 1 of a praying mantis on my arm. im tall and awkwardly portioned due to ehlers danlos. lots of keloid scars and a bit fuzzy. slight baby face. pale as frick frack and translucent skin with veins showing.

Pets: 7 CATS. 2 dogs. 1 ball python and a small colony of madagascar hissing cockroaches. i am an avid animal lover and a nerd about all their behaviors, biology and habitat preservation.

He’ll get you more purple clothing to match him.

Grabs your hands and holds them when you’re picking at your skin, then he’ll carry you to the medbay for Knockout to patch you up.

Megatron believes that seven cats is a bit… obnoxious, but nevertheless will make room for all of your pets.

Jokes about your bug colony being an army… he thinks it’s hilarious that you have an insect army of your own.

Megaton holds you close to his spark when you overthink things/start to cry.

Everything is weird on the Nemesis, so you’re not out of place on the ship to him.

He does his best to appreciate and support all of your interests, even if he sees them as childish.

At least once a week he’ll take you to a new foresty area, where you can “observe all the different types of mushrooms and squirrels you want.” He’ll usually sit in a clear-ish area and watch you frolic through the trees.

ehh i think that people tend to forget that tfp starscream attempted to kill megatron after megatron started to act bat shit insane when he came back. Like the show did not begin with TFP starscream wanting to kill him. Megatron left and puts starscream in chrage.

starscream at the beginning of tfp was actually holding down the decepticon cause, and acting as second in command. when megatron returned, he stepped down and was ready to serve him, and then megaton acted cold to him in various ways. the most notable example was when he told starscream to 'stop groveling' when starscream asked what he could do, and starscream was not being malicious. after megatron took the dark energon and became power hungry, and began throwing starscream around the place and stepping on his head and shit like that, THAT is when starscream snapped and decided to leave him stranded in space.

In tfp, Starscream had a lot of respect and loyaty to Megatron until megatron outwardly acted violent toward him and demeaned him.

When starscream returned to Nemesis, he was extremely loyal to Megatron until fucking Predacons rising. So yeah, Starscream did try to kill Megatron multiple times, but if you watch the show you will understand that he only tried to do that after Megatron returned and literally started physically mistreating him out of nowhere. And Starscream attempted to work with Megatron and push it aside until he couldn't.

This isn't excusing how awful of a person starscream is, because i think people tend to see any form of sympathy toward starcream as babying him. Starscream isn't a good person in tfp, and if we talk about how Megatron abused him, we also get to talk about how bad Starscream was an how abusive he was to others. For example, Knockout, the other troops, Shockwave, the seekr twins, the list goes on. And the interestinng thing about Starscream and Megatron is how they both continue that cycle of abuse with one another - Megatron is a victim of violent abuse, and he continues that with Starscream who continues it with others. It would be really interesting to talk about.

and also this doesn't mean, by transformers guidelines, that either of them are past redemption. megatron MOSTLY gets redeemed in TF media but it is possible for both of them to get redeemed too. That is just a random thought that came but whatever.

But i think this one of the few fandoms I have been in where we can see an evil character going through abusive shit, and people will say 'omg you're babying him' if you say that he shouldn't be going through that.

You don't have to like Starscream, or you don't even have to like awful terrible things he does. But this thing where 'he's a villain so he has no complexity' is so strange and counter reductive, and when you see people speaking in depth about his character and round it out to 'omg you're babying him he tried to kill megatron' then i...idk

and idk i wouldn't be making this post if it wasn't clear that op and some other people were directly referencing things i've said in the past. but that's okay LOL

I think another important thing to keep in mind is that most people who don't care about starscream actually don't fetishize the abuse he goes through. Most people don't see the abuse as hot or anything. Most people who ignore the abuse just do not care about Starscream enough to care he was abused and tend to think that people are babying him. Sure there are tons of shippers who look at the abuse megaton puts him through and think that it's hot and sexy, but the vast majority of people just quickly assume that people are excusing starscream when we talk about his abuse. That's why I think it's important to not just act like a certain part of the fandom does that or excuses his abuse because it makes it more difficult to address the wider issue at hand. And it's just that people see a heavily queer coded person and decide not to care about him because the person doing the abuse is hot, attractive or stronger and the writers themselves cannot write a redemption arc for a femme coded queer villain to save their lives because he's supposed to always be a joke. He's Supposed to have no nuance because the writers want to make him a stereotype. I just wanted to put it out there. I am also a victim of abuse so yeah seeing people fetishize the abuse is very disgusting to me, but shippers are not the only people who outwardly ignore what starscream goes through. Even people who ship Megatron and Optimus will laugh at Starscream and act like he deserves the abuse because he's tried to kill Megatron. I just wanted to put that out there. And I don't think there was anything wrong with your Megatron part. I think a lot of people are quick to say megatron deserves a redemption arc but say starscream doesn't deserve one. Especially in tfp and idw. And while I love both the characters and wanted there to be redemption and a better relationship between both of them after said redemption, I still think starscream was treated unfairly and a lot of megatron fans and fans in general don't like him. So my main point is that a vast majority of people who thinks starscream deserves his abuse aren't fetishizing the abuse nor do they ship Megatron and Starscream. Fans of all kinds have made fun of Starscream for years without even liking starscream or shipping him with Megatron. And I think you can leave a lot of important points out of the discussion when you speak as if only people who fetishize the abuse are the problems when it's much more widespread than that

Again, the post was only something I did like, 10 minutes before work. If I’m being honest, I’m completely new to the fandom (I think that was my first post about it outside of reblogs) and had mostly seen people romanticising Megatrons abuse. But everything you brought up is 100% accurate too.

I guess the main point of the post was that I didn’t like how Megatron gets redemption while Starscream doesn’t, even though Starscream shows more potential for having a satisfying redemption. I didn’t go into reasons WHY starscream isn’t redeemed and Megatron is (I think another reason is that Megatron and Optimus had a brother-like relationship, so the writers are more likely to put him in focus because of that. Which is an issue in and of itself.) because it was just a rant I made.

Like I said in the other ask, the romanticisation got a back seat. The only reason I spoke about it so much is because that person asked why I was mad about it. And, bringing up the other ask again, the main reason I posted it was because it felt like people were completely dismissing Starscreams abuse and even encouraging it.

I didn’t go into detail, but it doesn’t mean I’m completely ignorant to the bigger issue here. I’m not out here trying to be a crusader for Starscream. Im just venting my frustrations at the writers for constantly throwing Starscream under the bus and then acting as though Megatron is this saint because he “disbanded” the war-hungry group he started.

The intention of the post wasn’t to talk about the “why” (though you’re more than welcome to reblog it and post your own opinion). I wasn’t taking away from the bigger issue. I was venting the frustrations I feel about this series because (me being new to the fandom) it felt like no one else was talking about it.

Now, to clarify, I’m not saying you can’t bring up these issues. In fact I’m super happy you did, because that’s true. I agree 100%! It’s a problem I (along with my friend, a massive Starscream fan) have noticed. But it felt like you were being passive aggressive. I don’t appreciate being spoken to in a condescending way because I didn’t touch on it when, again, that was not the intention of the post. Feel free to open up discussions, but don’t talk down to me like that. I’m a person. Respect me.

Now I could just be stupid, it’s quite late where I live. But that’s what it felt like. Even if this wasn’t the case, maybe someone else will read it and take note of it. idk.
