i have read this article a few times since you sent it in and i still don't exactly know how to express my thoughts on it.

first: amen

second: yall literally have no idea how it makes me feel when you say somethin appalachian-related reminded yall of me. for real <3333

third: time to get long winded and sentimental, because i've never considered it this way, but it's so true. when i think of appalachia, i dont think about lifted trucks and gun shows.

i think about my badass grandma who was a fiery divorced, sex-positive, weed smoking, unapologetic feminist in her day and who didn't take no shit from no mountain men.

i think about my gospel loving, soft spoken mama who loudly loved jesus, a woman anyone would write off as an average "southern christian white lady" on the surface. how she didn't bat an eye when i nervously told her i was gay as a preteen. i think about how she hugged me and told me how much she loved me, how not everyone was gonna be nice about it or understand but that i was going to be safe and it was gonna be okay. how when i was a kid she stood up to that fire n brimstone southern baptist preacher and got us the fuck out of there.

i think about one of my best friends in high school, a visibly queer butch lesbian in our tiny bible beating western NC town. how fucking brave and cool she was for being one of maybe three "out" queers at school and so visibly queer at that. i think about how she got married to a pretty girl last year in that same town.

i think about two of my close friends who had to grow up so heartbreakingly fast, a pair of sisters who were at the time so young but selflessly spent their free time caring for their terminally ill mother by themselves up in their lonely holler without ever lodging a complaint

i think about my sister who dropped everything to raise me when she was only 23, breaking her back and making shit work because no one else was gonna make it work for us. i think about how one of my great aunts literally cleaned out her bedroom to furnish mine when she learned i was sleepin on a shitty couch in a cold basement.

i think about my other great aunt who apologizes for absolutely no part of who she was and holds fast to her beliefs no matter what. i think about her filling her house with the warm smell of soup beans and biscuits that were gonna feed the whole family when they come later.

when i think about appalachia, i think about the women in my life. appalachia is divine and it is absolutely divinely feminine. it's the heart of these hills and patriarchy taints it like it does everything fuckin else.

as an aside, i really loved this section here. it was kind of empowering:

To live in Appalachia nowadays is to live with our failure to break down systemic racism, and with our complicity in the abuse of our bodies, labor, and land by unregulated corporations and himbo charlatans.

She champions all of her friends and any rights she believes are being infringed. Queer ally! Pro-choice! Dispenser of tampons! SHE IS EVERYTHING TO ME.

Like holy shit, this series has absolutely everything I’ve ever wanted IN TWELVE EPISODES.

Nonbinary person, trans person, lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, sex positivity, entire segments of the show dedicated to sex education, casual sex, coparenting, abortion, vehement emphasis on open-mindedness, combating fatphobia, challenging homophobes and transphobes, CELEBRATING SEX WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY WARNING PEOPLE AGAINST THE MISUSE AND DANGERS OF IT.

That’s literally just off the top of my head. This series is so well-written, well-acted, and well-directed, I can’t put into words how much it’s the queerest thing I’ve ever seen, bar none. In any country. Ever.

And that’s why it’s my favorite series and Jojo is the director of my soul.

You keep saying you want to belong to different male gendered groups, but you don't have to be a boyfriend, boy, or himbo, you can just be you. Someone's partner, a flirty/silly person, fun traits don't have to be restricted to men. Forgive me if I'm seeing things, but it comes off like you're struggling to describe yourself with feminine terms.

If you're struggling with gender dysphoria, have you considered taking a neutral approach? You don't have to think of yourself as the girliest princess at the ball, but using gender neutral language can describe you both accurately and comfortably. "I want to be the partner wrapped around her finger."

I'm not trying to tell you how to think about yourself, and by all means, if you're comfortable with terms you describe yourself with, delete this ask and move on. This is strictly for you. I'm not trans or detrans, I don't have that experience, but I've struggled with my body and found when I couldn't use positive terms towards myself, I could at least use neutral and it genuinely helped how I see myself and where I place my values within myself. Take care of yourself 💕

i actually don't have gender dysphoria anymore, haven't had any in years once i had therapy for trauma and found butch lesbian culture! i mainly use female terms, i love being seen as a woman/gf/wifey/etc. i just also use terms like boy, boytoy, himbo, etc sometimes bc they're funny to me and just fun as a soft butch lol :3 it's like how gay men often use typically female terms for fun despite feeling 100% secure in being male! there's a looong history of it in gay & lesbian cultures and i just enjoy playing around with gendered words and pissing off the straights. i would NEVERRRR want to actually be a man, or genderless or whatever 🤢 i tried that for 13 years up until 2ish years ago and it made me miserable!! i'm not a part of the trans community anymore, though i do have trans friends. i love living as a masc woman, i just like stealing terms from men like a thieving goblin ;)

bruh took everything i said out of context and harped on my ugly erend joke (he is). i do wanna blast u diehards w my eye beams!!! gtfo of here! erend is still one of my favorite characters, and he's obviously the closest friend aloy has at this point (maybe other than her sister but imo they're still working on bringing closeness to their relationship).

people really seem to think that because i find shipping him with aloy inappropriate, and you guys greasy for doing it, that i must hate him. i don't. he's charming, with a way about him that's hard to ignore (himbo energy). he tries his best to be there for the people he cares about and loves super hard. he's great at public speaking and rallying people to his cause, whatever that may be in the moment. he's incredibly loyal to his job even if that means bending avad's requests to fit what he deems most important in the moment. plus avad respects him so much that he doesn't care!! and his underlings on the vanguard will NOT let go of the crush he had in hzd, to his humiliation as we see the confrontation with aloy followed by his drunkenness at barren light. he has good taste in music, the soul of a metalhead, and a heart of gold. he lost his sister as aloy came into his life, and there's every context clue to show that this crush fizzled out as he came to respect aloy more as an equal. he said something along the lines of "i thought i was a bigshot talking to a pretty girl from a tiny tribe... now i see i was lucky just to get a minute of your time" and the ereloys takes this as some proclamation of love when to me and many others it comes off as a transition within their relationship towards mutual respect and appreciation.

Personally, I headcanon that he identifies as pan, but like... He chooses that as his label because he likes the flag colors better lmao. That's it.

I always meant to type up my headcanons for this but never got around to it, so I think now is as good a time as any?

Misono: sex positive ace. Both because I think it suits him and because I like the contrast with my headcanon of Lily, where Lily has sex related trauma that makes him have difficult feelings about being attracted to others. Misono is almost clinical? When talking about that kind of thing. It can be off putting but he genuinely just thinks the scope of human sexuality is a fascinating thing to research

Mahiru: Bisexual, like his uncle, but not particularly aware of it in that he doesn't identify as anything. He's very "yeah that person is hot" and moves on with his day. The type who goes "huh! I guess I am" if you point out he's queer

Speaking of Queer, Mikuni: uses this exclusively. He thinks it's delightful. Like yes, this is perfect, he IS a very strange and odd little man! And that's all you're getting out of him (genuinely, this is all he gives me aside from maybe some flavor of aro. Jackass)

Lawless: Disaster bi with a distinct preference for intimidating women and older men. Licht is actually out of left field for him. Not typically the type he goes for!

hi anon, I'm not sure where to start with this one. first of all, I've read some fics by the author you mentioned (every single one involving yuma, actually!) and they literally don't even do that. they describe him as beefy but that, in itself, is not harmful at all. I think you might just be making stuff up to start trouble.

second, "big" and "not very smart" are two canon characteristics that yuma has. yui often describes him as large (so even if he isn't drawn very differently from the others I think we can consider this canon-compliant lol), and yuma himself will admit that he's like… "not good at using his head" I believe is how he words it. he's the muscle. he leaves the thinking to the other guys. so if u have a problem with this kind of character, I think u should complain to rejet first.

third (and I considered just deleting this ask, but I honestly want u to hear this last point), I think you're throwing around a term like "fetishize" too lightly. to fetishize means to make a certain identity purely an object of sexual desire rather than a real identity, made up of people with agency and desires of their own. the easiest example to understand, I think, is how men fetishize lesbians: a man watching lesbian p/orn and believing that sex between women exists for HIS entertainment is fetishizing lesbians. the problem with his behavior is that, according to him, lesbians don't have agency of their own; he does not see them as real people with real feelings. they're only tools for his OWN desires.

that's just one example, but it applies to other sorts of identities too. here's a forbes article about fetishization and race.

I just don't think that the "himbo" trope has the same negative effect on any particular identity. even if someone is very attracted to, say, muscular guys, that doesn't mean they are imagining that muscular guys don't have their own agency. then there's the fact that "himbo" is an innocuous, non-sexual character trope rather than a real-world stereotype for a certain identity............idk anon, I just can't agree with you. let's not throw around accusations when we don't fully understand what those words mean.

and on anon? in some unrelated person's askbox? cmon dude, you've gotta be classier than that. if you don't like a particular fic then don't read it. it's super easy; I do it every day.

i didn’t read many comics because i lived in a rlly small rural town & comic books were too expensive with my reading speed. i had to pick the biggest books i could to make them last or i’d end up reading the cook books again by the end of the month. also i added video games bc that’s where a lot of my fav universes are.

books: (i could go on for 20 years but i’ll stick to a few)

wheel of time -

i got the first book i think when i was 8/9. it took me a week to get past the prologue bc i did not appreciate feeling confused but once i got to Rand & the road and the figure in the cloak i was HOOKED. i brought it to school that week & a sub teacher (legend, in hindsight) came up & was like ‘oh! that’s a great book’ and i mostly glared distrustfully at her bc teachers liked to take books off me or (hate hate) take me aside when the rest of the class were doing sums or whatever and make me read a passage to them, then drill me about the meaning of different words. i get they were trying to see if i actually had that reading level or whatever but it was mortifying. so yeah, glared at her, so sorry bc she was right. it took me years to acquire and read all of the books but been so so normal about them ever since. my favs are probably moiraine (shocker), lan, elayne (actually love her so much an unreasonable amount), mat (gender reasons) and siuan (obviously).

the book of the ancestor -

THESE BOOKS. there are nuns in this too. they are badass ninja magic nuns and a lot of them are so so gay. it’s about the found family and a little girl called Nona who probably would bite you but she’s actually the kindest softest best person in the world. her friends are all kind of gay for her; she’s kind of gay for all her friends. there are two older nuns called Apple & Kettle who are just flagrantly massive lesbians and it’s so so funny. Apple is a poisoner & Kettle is a spy and they have just such a THING going on i adore them. this trilogy is wonderful & the magic is so cool & the character dynamics are !!!!! feral there’s a Judas character there’s rivals-to-lover/ friends-to-lover. it’s a meditation on where we find meaning and in whom and what we fight for. has everything i love love love. also like… can think of two men off the top of my head in a cast of like 40 deranged women. amazing.

the fitz & the fool books -

got this on family holiday to Rome when i was 10. ignored rome in favour of reading this day and night. i read it three times in one week. barely stepped foot in the pool. it’s a gorgeous character-driven story. fitzchivalry farseer is ultimate himbo rep. also magical bonding with a wolf will get me every time. there are like two trilogies now. they r so good.

the murderbot diaries -

ghdklskdsl killer robot gains sentience. just wants to watch their TV shows & be left alone. sadly, stupid humans get in stupid situation & secunit has to endure the mortifying ordeal of being known. SECUNIT i’d die for u. the novels are pretty short but there are quite a few now & each one has a new and awesome take on artificial intelligence and self-advocacy and found family and what it means to be alive.

the broken earth trilogy -

these books ripped my heart out of my chest and i said thank you. gorgeously written. deals with rlly rlly interesting & important themes. the main character is just so cool, she’s also, like, an older woman with kids but she’s the hero and the main character and i think that’s kind of awesome. the magic SLAPS. it’s plate tectonics babey.

the black magician trilogy -

these & wot were my gateway to the fantasy genre fr fr. my friend’s mom bought her the first one and she fobbed it off on me (we were 9. she was only interested in this webside called Howrse where you pretended to own horses??) i got locked outside my house after walking home from hers and spent two hours tucked into a narrow nook outside the back door while it bucketed rain down around me. best two hours of my life. first canon queer rep i ever read. there r a bunch of trilogies now. great stuff on healing magic & sonea is so stubborn i love that for her. don’t let anyone reason with you darling.

movies:

star wars: yes yes yes we know that casper likes star wars. but casper LOVES star wars. obi-wan is my favourite character in the prequels. in the og trilogy probably han solo (i am not immune to THAT), but also as i got older Luke Skywalker too. c3po for that bitch boy energy. i owe him a lot. there is only one movie in the third trilogy & i love Finn. shame they never made the last two movies.

pirates of the caribbean: ELIZABETH SWAN. we can all blame her for my lesbian behaviour. we can all blame will turner for my gender.

the alien movies: 1 & 2 mostly, but i will watch the others with my eyes. i can’t help myself. lots of blood & gore = casper happy. blood + actual good storytelling is like porn with plot to me but i will take porn without plot. i am a simple creature. i loved NEWT because talking can be evil sometimes and also living for weeks in a deserted compound with a killer robot - what?? like it’s hard?? obvs Ripley is a legend. bush representation.

lotr: i love the books too but i grew up on the movies & my uncle only loaned me his 3-in-1 version when i was 10. i don’t know what to say don’t ever talk to me about boromir don’t ever talk to me about gimli and legolas don’t EVER talk to me about sam or frodo. unless you are prepared for a sleeping-beauty type situation where you blink and your kingdom has fallen into darkness bc i’ve been talking for 35 years.

i LOVE the movie Arrival: linguistics & aliens, non-linearity of the narrative. CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP. it’s the good tasty stuff. also mood when she arrives to teach & there are like 4 people and she’s like ‘hmm. okay.’ that’s every day of my life teaching obscure bs. i also kind of want her house. badly. and LISTEN the short story is also good but i rlly like the weird feral energy she had going on in the movie. sign me up so fast for a deranged woman in stem. (she’s in linguistics but let me have my joke. it’s basically math)

mass effect: if you were here with me on tumblr in 2014 1. i’m sorry and 2. you know that liara t’soni is my wife and i’d die for her. these games gave me the most severe brainrot. no i cannot ever be mean to anyone ever but i do push that guy off the Dantius tower in ME2 because it’s funny. Aria t’Loak can [redacted] me if she wants. but yeaaaah. these games are amazing and i still genuinely burst into tears every time Leaving Earth comes on my playlist. there’s just something abt it. played the game on rec of my hot physics teacher. to nobody’s surprise. my favs are Liara (going to tell you humiliating anecdote now. one time i was talking loudly to my friend in my room while playing ME and i said ‘hey, that’s my girlfriend’ loudly and my mom burst in like !!!! YOU HAVE A GIRLFRIEND I WANT TO MEET HER. imagine her disappointment when it was a collection of pixels on my tv. she was like ‘…. cas. go outside.’) i also like Jack, Miranda (love a woman who is mean to me), WREX BOI, tali bc i want to smooch her helmet and because of that time she gets drunk it’s so funny. i like garrus too okay but my friend never shut up about him so i was sick of him in the same way she was sick of Brynjolf after the 500th time i said he could [redacted].

jak and daxter: aaaaahhh. the mild child neglect game. basically my mum got this when i was a toddler & one time got so engrossed trying to cross Fire Canyon she let me fall asleep in my walker. i was fine but my dad never let her or me or anyone forget about it. it’s his measure for how good things are. ‘oh, is it fall asleep in your walker good?’ i think i learned my motor skills playing this game. my hands were sucky clumsy bastards so actually it helped. i was bad at it for so long but now i can 100% the game without dying once in about 3 hours. not speedrun territory but still. it’s just!!! visually incredible. the story is so funny. whatever gender Jak has i want. Daxter was my comedic role-model so you can see how that turned out for me. it’s totally worth watching Jak & Daxter (the whole trilogy) on YT or playing it. the games of all time to me. the kind of fantasy worlds i create are still massively influenced by this. also Jak didn’t speak for the first game so he was autism rep to me as a kid even tho i had only bouts of being non-verbal & other times never shutting tf up.

ratchet & clank: same vein as jak & daxter. made by naughty dog who yes also made TLOU. so funny, so visually stunning. A Crack in Time is the best game come and fight me. but also LOVED Rift Apart bc one character had a prosthetic limb & she was rlly rlly cool. idk the sci-fi world in Ratchet and Clank is basically a shitpost but it’s also so gorgeous and so fun and makes no sense but (Daniel Craig voice) compels me though. i love the second and third games also and ALSO tools of destruction. HAS AMAZING MUSIC. such bopping. best track is probably novalis imo.

horion zero dawn: this is more recent. drives me insane. there are kind of mechanical dinosaurs and you have a bow and arrow and you fight them and Aloy is so sarcastic and so clever and so (looks into the camera like she’s on the office) about everything. it’s an amazing world & i love her little found family and the BIG ‘go the fuck to sleep’ energy she has. so stubborn love that for her.

pokemon: like i said. neighbour wanted to play GTA on PS2 without traumatising me so gave me his red gameboy and pokemon gold. then i learned to read. got sapphire for my 7th christmas + the GameBoy Advanced SP. got every game since then & I JUST LOVE POKEMON. it’s THE autism game (sorry stardew. sucks to suck) you collect little guys and you battle and you walk around and you shiny hunt and there are like 900 different pokemon now. i mean we all know pokemon anyway but yeah i was obsessed my whole life. wanted to be ash ketchum i love his attitude imo he’s a very ava silva character and i like how he says “i like carrots and peppers and bugs” he’s so valid for that.

skyrim: hehehehe. 2011. got this for christmas based on the cinematic trailer (god’s strongest soldier i am not) and was so scared of the draugr i emerged out of my room at 3am on st-stephen’s day in a pose like i was holding a greatsword WIHOUT REALISING i was doing it. i git good at the game tho & learned to mod. aaaaahhhh it’s one of my fav worlds to get lost in. my mum sent me this text when i texted her a pic of the official skyrim guidebook

I wanted to like the Barbie movie so bad but it has such a shallow and liberal view of feminism 😭😭😭

Spoilers below! Also, this is just me ranting! Don't let me stop you from seeing the movie if you want to see it!

I really wanted Ken to be a silly sidekick who experiences the negatives of patriarchy as well (if a dude was dressing in fruity clothes wearing spandex, he would definitely be hate-crimed, not respected... actually a bit where he hangs out in queer spaces for looking fruity despite not knowing what being gay is would be a really funny commentary on how people used to not allow same sex relarionships in kids media, couldve been a real himbo moment... Ken deserved an army of lesbians who adopted him... and also to fall in love with the Ken that was his rival)

The weird "a woman being a CEO is feminism", "feminism is when you dress nice and wear makeup", "women who dress 'slutty' are brainwashed by the patriarchy" shit ("Why am I wearing this? I would never wear this?" "Of course you wouldn't, you're a doctor")

Also the "women are too dumb on their own, if they don't listen to me rant about women issues then they'd never know those issues exist and would happily accept the patriarchy" shit is some weird radfem handmaiden crap they added to the libfem film that I did not expect

A lot of the "haha wouldnt it be funny if this thing that women experience also happened to men??" jokes aren't funny when you learn about intersectional feminism and realize that men of color, disabled men, gay men, trans men, etc actually do have those experiences

The barbies creating a fake war between the kens so they couldn't vote and then taking their rights away was so odd,, Voter Suppression Barbie

Why did it end with the matriarchy being the better system for Barbieland (world?) 😭😭 what a weird thing

Barbie experiencing the vast, complex emotions of a human being was a good idea! I wish they showed that in a non-shallow way! I mean they didn't have to! Having comedic scenes depicting someone experiencing depression is a funny idea, but then what was with the oscar bait at the end acting as if it was a really emotional and profound exploration of human identity?

The human characters were also not only boring but didn't really have concrete personalities 😭 why did the daughter suddenly switch from hating barbie to wanting to help her? Where did the singing together on the rode trip part come from? The mom and daughter didn't bond at all before then? Unless I missed it, we didn't get much of an explanation to why the mother and daughter had a sour relationship, and so them bonding didn't have much of an impact.

Choreography? Fantastic

The set design and outfit designs!! Amazing!!

The actors who played the dolls did a great job, you could tell they had a lot of fun filming.

Very awesome that they included discontinued barbies! Seeing the puberty one and also reference to the original barbie was great.

The fight between the Kens being represented by a dance sequence was very funny and fun to watch!

Got some laughs out of me!

Okay so the problem with me and movies is that whenever someone asks me about my favorites I suddenly forget every movie to ever exist and also I can't really categorize any movie in like really "favorite" category but I'll show and tell y'all some movies that are very dear to me.

1. the half of it

Okay so this movie is such a comfort to me? Like it's about this blossoming friendship between a local himbo and a lesbian and there is a sapphic love story in the background and it's so soft and tender and gentle. The thing is I love friendships and I think we focus so little on them and this one just scratched the itch, like noone gets the final girl at the end but he does chase after that fucking friend after his lesbian best friend because he loves her. Platonically, and idk just the way he tried to get along with her father and the way she tried to support his dreams and just platonic soulmates do things to me. And the cinematography is stunning. And like I said we do get a wlw storyline, like what can I girl want more?

2. Spiderman into the spiderverse.

It's fun, it's comfort, the art is fucking amazing, the story too, the leap of faith moment? Fucking legendary, i will never not be in awe of it. The son-father relationship? The found family?THE SOUNDTRACKS AND MOTIFS WITHIN IT I'm just grrrr brain go brrrr.

3. Pride & Prejudice.

I will never not love this movie, it's just so *screams*, the touches, mr darcy, how fucking joyful it is, how gentle, also I just love pride and prejudice and I'm sorry to every other adaptation but in my mind this is the one and it has nothing to do with my crush on Keira Knightley, not even a little (it does but shhh)

4. Jennifer's Body.

First of all my queer awaking, like this movie said, yes YOU DO LIKE GIRLS, like the kiss scene has done things to me and I have never been the same. I love this movie, it's for the girlies about that girlies and man get eaten, what more one could want?

5. 10 things I hate about you

C'mon it's a classic. We all love it, honestly Pat IS our pretty boi™ and the only men ever and Kat is so snarky and bitchy as she deserves, also it's just such a fun watch.

6. The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

It's campy, it's horny, it's loud, it's out there, it's fun and it's queer. Like definitely a comfort watch. Do I think there are some questionable things™ in it? Yes but i don't care, I love it, it's my queer comfort film and you could pry it off of ny dead cold hands.

7. I Killed My Mother

Listen, this movie shaped me. Like nothing understood my relationship with my mother when I was younger as this movie and sure some other movies that did have came out since then but by God was it the culprit of my younger self angst. I will never forget some lines from this movie, it's deeply ingraved in my brain. It also has a queer side story.

8. Whisper of the heart.

It's definitely a comfort watch, definitely even more so since I'm a writer myself. Like this movie is just so fucking kind if it comes to art and the love story God, my standards for love have risen since I watched it. I mean all Ghibli movies are good but by god this one is just making me feel things.

9. Love and Leashes.

Listen, this movie is just, I want to eat it. Sometimes still all I can think about is the pulling wax scene and the scene where she fucking steps over him in her heels, like I'm just so *AAAaaaaaaaaa* about it.

Mönkbhat Family: Origins

I first started playing Sims when I created the Hassan/Trinh household last year. Unfortunately, I had to let the save go when I went to college. With a new phone in hand, I played the Sims again and took screenshots throughout my gameplay. It is clogging my storage so I decided to post the pictures here for memory’s sake. Enjoy!

AUG 24, 2022/ THE SIMMONS

Meet my Sims, Aurelio Walker(left) and Noelle Simmons(right). They originally went as Simmons until my younger sister took a good look at Noelle and said that she looks Russian or Mongolian. I wasn’t as invested in this save during that time but when she said that, my mind clicked and began rebranding this save.

The last name I picked, Mönkhbat, means eternal firmness in Mongolian. I imagined the family to be a matriachal society where the men take in their wives last names, since Noelle was the first Sim I created and also because she showed a stronger personality.

CHALLENGES / REDESIGNING AURELIO

Back in my Hassan/Trinh save, I made a mistake of getting my Sims romantically involved with other player Sims. It was the root of major heartbreak and drama since the ones they love could never be with them so I decided to have a lighter change of pace in this story by making the roomates romantically involved.

However, Aurelio’s design wasn’t sitting right with me so I kinda played around with Noelle dating Valentina Edgewaters.

How am I going to fix this boy!? Or girl?? I tried to genderbend him to a pink-haired Asian woman to have this sort of lesbian harem with Noelle but it didn’t feel right. After a series of tweaks and fixtures, he came to the world a changed man. Introducing...

Tada! New Aurelio! I first imagined him being like a himbo but as I kept playing him, he behaved more like a straight man to Noelle’s eccentric. That made him surprisingly compatible with her that I decided to push through with getting them together. Who knew having a personality was all he needed?

AUG 26, 2022/ HIBALAG WEDDING NIGHT

Fast forward to two days, the young couple joined as one and the Mönkhbat family was set in motion! It was a simple backyard wedding given their economic conditions but it was a sweet one. The Hibalag Festival was happening on campus grounds at the time so there was a long line, and I killed time by taking screenshots throughout their wedding. Here is a collection of pictures I took at that time:

After their wedding, Noelle grabbed her wig and blue lipstick and headed off to another party. There she sang her heart out and the night was glorious.
