other: not 100% happy with formatting on this but i wrote majority of it on a 6 hour flight so like. you win some you lose some. not proofread that well, i kind of ramble at times too but it's fine. 2.1k word count and half of it is formatted in a headcanon cuase, again, lazy 6 hour writing. i also don't use the bolding and coloring that much cause it'd be a lot of work.

■ they're both immediately at your side, apologizing profusely

■ it scares them. alot.
■ for once there's absolutely no competition, the only worry is making you feel better.
■ both sitting next to you on the couch, lucifer murmuring how much he loves you, and how he knows how much alastor cares for you
■ i hate the whole "alastor doesn't understand emotions" thing because he does. he has to, he knows how to read people well.
■ it's just he hasn't ever comforted someone
■ he doesn't know what to do when someone he cares about is upset
■ so he's glad lucifer is here, as alastor just sits at your side nodding along and gently rubbing your back
■ alastor only tunes back in when lucifer offers to give some space for the night, and a little murmur from you agrees but asks they both come to bed that night
■ given its usually only lucifer who actually sleeps in the same bed as you alastor is surprised
■ but lucifer is beckoning him out for some space.
"cmon, we'll be back in an hour yeah?" he chimes from the door, and with a squeeze of your shoulder alastor is out of the door, but he opts to walk along with lucifer. "we gotta do better" lucifer sighs as he walks, not looking over at alastor. he's not accusing alastor, he seems equally disappointed in both of them.
"for her?" alastor adds, and lucifer gives a hum of agreement. "this while ordeal has been quite... stressful as of late, no?" alastor adds, "to our own faults, yes" lucifer murmurs, giving a sigh. alastor nods, and the two men walk in silence for some time, ending up in the parlor, husk far since gone to bed. "want anything?" lucifer pulls alastor back to reality once again, he's standing behind the bar while alastor had been staring off, his mind running with thoughtd of god knows what.
"whiskey, my friend?" alastor suggests, and giving it a considerate thought lucifer pours two glasses. the silence falls over them again, just the sound of the clink of their glasses on the counter.
"so tell me, how do you do it when you pleasure her?" alastor breaks the silence, lucifers eyes dart up to him. thinking for a moment before replying "i don't really think tonight is the time for that—" lucifer says, but in a gentle tone.
"no no, in the morning." alastor says, staring down at his glass. "you two indulge often in the morning, correct?" alastor says, now his eyes uncomfortably on lucifer. Watching as the other man almost pales a little, swallowing thickly.
lucifer immediately falters, giving a sigh. "look it's not— i‐ that's not her fault–" lucifer immediately starts, assuming this is a confrontation. his eyebrows raise as alastor shakes his head. "oh please, if i had problem with it i would have done something" he says, a static crackle echoing through the room. "no, i want to know how you do it when you... when it's just about her. how can i do the same?" alastor asks, and this is even more surprising to lucifer than this whole fucking idea in the first place.
■ so lucifer of course explains some stuff to him, of course it's hard because unless he's done it before it's hard to articulate some of his "moves"
■ i mean lucifer can hardly resist going down on you everytime, he's definitely experienced but it's hard to transfer that knowledge at times
■ but he's impressed alastor even asked
■ so when they return to your room, they're a lot more calmer with each other than before.
■ that night changed a lot between them tbh
■ it's slightly awkward for both of them when everyone gets settled in the bed
■ you're on your back, lucifer on your right side and alastor on the left.
■ they're both holding you to the best of their abilities
■ lucifer gives alastors hand a squeeze before shuffling it to have a better grasp on your waist
■ you all peacefully sleep through the night, not shifting much but it's pretty comfortable
■ is the morning you're mostly cuddled into alastor, which is entirely lucifers doing
■ when you're all awake though alastor gets arguably nervous
■ but you being you, you slump over onto alastors chest, murmuring some affection to him
■ lucifer gives a nod, it's time.
■ he'd honestly probably move to get out of bed, assuming some privacy is wanted
■ but he feels a shadow wrap around his forearm, it's a light pressure
■ alastor shakes his head, mouthing a small "please"
after lucifer processes for a moment what exactly is about to go down, he's okay with that. he settles back in, his eyes on the two of you as alastor tilts your chin up, pressing a kiss to your lips. "my dear, would you mind if i tried something a little different with you?" alastor chimes, and you blink your eyes open again, still a bit sleepy as you give a nod.
he gently maneuvers you on the bed so you're laying on your back, his hands pawing at your sleep shorts and pulling them to your ankles. lucifer watches, honestly a little mezmerized by the whole ordeal. he feels proud in an odd sort of way. “I think our little doe deserves a treat, would you like that?” alastor murmurs as he spreads your thighs open. You take a shaky breath before murmuring some form of agreement, maybe even a little plea.
without further prodigy, alastors finally leans down his tongue swiping down your folds, hands grasping your hips to pull you to his face. your hands go to hold lucifers, but he shakes his head tutting at you. “ah ah, that’s not very polite princess” he chides softly, guiding your hands to alastors hair.
and alastor makes good use of the tips and information lucifer gave him, his tongue plunging into your sweet little hole as his nose bumps your clit. his eyes wander up, making eye contact with you as he eats you out so wonderfully. you tug at his hair and he practically growls in pleasure, opting to change tactics and focus his mouth on your clit while his fingers slide inside you, gently curling into your sweet spot.
and lucifer watches it all, absolutely mesmerized. he doesnt know what it is about watching this but theres something about knowing alastor is doing exactly as told to in this scenario that makes lucifer feel warm. he lets alastor steal the show, doing only minimal work. maybe hes softly cooing praises or gently reminding you to show your appreciation to the one making you feel this good.
as you get close, evident by the murmur that falls past your lips, alastors eyes snap to lucifers for a moment, and he takes a moment to think before understanding. usually when youre close alastor is all over you, telling you to be such a good girl and cum, just slight praises and coaxing. given the fact hes face deep in your sweetness he cant really do that, so that job is up to lucifer now.
“isn’t alastor doing such a good job duckling? you want to make sure he knows how good hes treating you, dont you?” lucifer coos, scooting in behind you on the bed so you stop trying to writhe away. “I think he’d be so disappointed if you didnt cum for him, you think you can do that, hm? you wanna cum all over your masters tongue?” lucifer says directly in your ear, and alastor feels a bit of a warmth in his stomach by being referred to as “master”
when you give a weak moan in response lucifer sighs, shaking his head. “be a good girl now, you can do it little doe” he says which is what sends you toppling over the edge, your hips rutting up into alastors mouth, whiny moans coming from you as alastor desperately licks up your sweet release. this whole thing was quite enjoyable for alstor, but hearing lucifer call you “little doe” his petname for you made him smugly satisfied.
after some aftercare which mostly just involved more cuddling, alastor feels satiated enough to shift to leave, before getting a look from lucifer. he reluctantly stays, feeling as you come to lay at his side once more. lucifer seems to take note of something, giving alastor a nod down, he glances down, seeing the obvious tent in his pants. alastor looks back up, slightly annoyed. a like “yeah, no shit dumbass” kind of look is exchanged.
alastor looks back down at you, pressing a kiss to your forehead as you sigh happily. but alastor tenses as he feels a hand on his knee, shooting a glare to lucifer as he traces his hand up a little. the two meet as and alastor takes a shaky breath as lucifer leans in just a little, breathing out the next few words with a calmness alastor admires:
“just keep cuddling her”

My daughter is four. She came home from school and told me she was playing a game called “Princess Gets Rescued From a Tower”. The kid of two feminists, living in a liberal city in a blue state, at the age of four, has internalized the idea that princesses need rescuing.
I did four years of residency in ObGyn and three years of residency in Psychiatry. I am an MD and a practicing psychiatrist. I don’t have the bandwidth to look at the numbers right now, but I will tell you from personal experience with hundreds and hundreds of patients that women are the strong ones. Most of the babies of teen girls I delivered had no support apart from their own mothers. I wrote “father of baby not involved” in the chart more times than I can count. Most of the pregnancy terminations I performed were for girls and women on their own. Nothing made me feel like I’d made more of a difference than providing a desired termination for a teenager and placing her IUD. Now that girl gets to continue her education, develop her frontal lobe, and decide who she wants to be and what she wants to do. She doesn’t have to be a baby trying to raise a baby. She doesn’t have to be another cog in a system that perpetuates the cycle of poverty in order to keep women and people of color from working towards equality, equity, fairness and real change.
Make no mistake. The overturning of Roe vs. Wade today is not about saving the lives of the unborn. It is about control of women’s bodies and agency, particularly poor women without the resources to travel out of state for a pregnancy termination. Women are meant to be property. Don’t believe me? How many letters have I received addressed to “Mrs. Husband’s First Name – Husband’s Last Name” instead of “Dr. My First Name – My Last Name”? How many people think my kids have their dad’s last name, because he’s the man and when you get married you’re supposed to give up your identity? Yes, it’s only a name. Yes, it’s tradition. But try speaking up against it— even that one, small thing— and see how much resistance you run into.
Now women want more than our own names. We want to be paid the same as our male colleagues. We want our voices to be heard in legislation and government. We’d even like to be the president someday. At bare minimum, we’d like to decide the timing and circumstances of when we become parents, because women still carry the majority of responsibility for raising children today, with rare exceptions. We are on a tightrope with no safety net, because there’s so little in the way of institutional support for people who end up with a baby to support and no way to put food on the table.
People who are thinking about how to get from one day to the next aren’t in the streets protesting. People who are terrified that they’ll be beaten or raped by their partner aren’t rallying for change. People who are trying to raise a child on a minimum wage salary with no parental leave benefits, without any sort of support, aren’t getting an education. People who are working two jobs to keep a roof over their heads aren’t voting.
And that’s the goal.
The princess in the tower may need a rescue now, but ask yourself who put her there. Ask yourself who robbed her of the tools to escape, because she’s strong and capable. If you’re a woman, stay safe. If you’re a woman of privilege, help your sisters. If you’re a man, speak up for us. And if there’s any part of you who feels that this is a move that will help any human beings at all, including the unborn children who are the proposed beneficiaries, I cheerfully invite you to get fucked. Nobody wins when women are forced to have kids they can’t or don’t want to support. Not them, not the kids… and not you.

Join the new cowboys who ride Krang Hounds and a Krangfied train as they try to survive against Krang.
✭ Believe Me (I'm Warning You): Things turned out differently with the last fight against the Shredder. The Hamatos and Cassandra Jones never became friends. However, in the future a boy named Casey Jones Jr. is tasked to stop the Krang by Leonardo Hamato. How can he convince them, when no one believes him?

Now it is about how the twins change roles for fun but things go bad, and how Mikey wishes to be freed from Draxum's lab, and how Raph and April accidentally discover the Hidden City and three turtle mutants.

Whole-ass life update
insertcaffeine vs. weed: Weed’s winning. I’ve gotten stoned every night this week, because every day this week has been frustrating, exhausting, or both. I’ve done my ASL lessons, and then taken an edible. Tonight, though, no edibles. I’ll be dropping Jay off at a friend’s house and doing some ASL study, that’s it.
Jay: One of his friends has a legit Disney World Dad, who is taking the friend to legit Disney World, and offered to let her bring a friend! She chose Jay. So Jay is going to Disney World for a week, starting tomorrow.
Work: [frog emoji][tea emoji] One of the MAs, the one who we thought up and quit last time, actually up and quit this time. We work in a very non-toxic workplace that doesn’t suffer gossip well, so nobody has told me what really went down. One one hand, this is good (obviously). On the other, I wanna know.
Also, New Lady was hired part-time for bariatrics (my clinic) and part time for maternal-fetal medicine (the clinic next door), and she’s started training next door. So I’m tired. x_x
Beauty: I’ve decided that it’s my duty to Serve. Up. Lewks. in Boston for Twin Bro's graduation. Glow the fuck UP. I’m working on makeup looks. I’m trying a new brand of press-on nails (Dashing Diva MagicPress, I’m impressed so far). I’m seriously considering a wig and new glasses. The graduation is a perfect excuse to get all done up, but I’ve been wanting to glow up for a while. Because really, why not?

for the ask game: top 5 justified episodes?
oh lordy this is so hard to choose. i'm not answering this with any thoughtfulness just going with gut instinct.
5: Full Commitment, season 2. this is my guilty pleasure and comfort episode because of how western it feels and how much tim gutterson we get :)
we even get raylan talking to dan!! i just love how all the pieces of the plot and characters come together in this episode. this also sets up and kicks off the finale of Bloody Harlan. really the last three episodes of this season feel like a mini movie to me, they all flow together brilliantly.
4: The Promise, season 6. this isn't my favorite season or even my favorite season finale, but it's one of my favorite episodes because of how bittersweet it is. it was the perfect wrap-up for a perfect show and the final scene is my favorite final scene in any show i've ever watched.
some characters survive, but nobody really wins and i love that. it feels like such a real true to life ending.
3: The Hunt, season 6. the episode that cinched boyd's characterization and showed us two flavors of domesticity horror (raylan and winona with willa's heart murmur reveal and trying to navigate co-parenting along with raylan's lackluster fathering VS boyd's abduction, terrorization, and assault of ava).
this is the most thriller-esque episode of justified to me and truly does verge into lowkey horror at some points. it shocked and numbed me the first time i watched it and the reality didn't really click until the second rewatch and by the third time it truly sunk in.
the fact boyd became the type of man his father and his brother were...utterly devastating and really changed my perspective on his character. and he chose it, he plotted it and organized it in a cold fashion. it's heartbreaking and at first you can't believe it but upon rewatches of the show it revealed to me that yeah...yeah. boyd was always capable of this and it's no surprise this is where he and ava ended up.
outlaw king and queen they never were and never would have been.
this episode is also fascinating because you can see critic response to it as a disturbing time capsule. look at reviews of this episode back when the show was airing...be prepared to be sickened by how often boyd assaulting ava is framed as "making love" or a reunification/rekindling of their relationship 🙃
this episode is always difficult for me to rewatch, but i still love it.
on a lighter note, i also delight in raylan being a fail dad and with city primeval fresh in my mind i love how it really does confirm his work over family priority from the get-go lol.
2: Outlaw, season 4. in general this is a solid af episode of justified in the best season of the show, but it ranks so high in my mind because it's the culmination of Arlo and Rayan's relationship. look, the truth is abuse is so rarely accurately portrayed in media. usually, it's revenge fantasy or feel-good simplification that reduces things down to evil monsters and pure perfect victims. and i get why that happens, i get it, most people find it healing and those stories do need to exist i'm not knocking them.
but justified has a complex and multilayered way of dealing with abusive relationships (they did it with boyd and ava too) that actually digs into how complicated and messy and painful they truly are.
the fact we get to see Raylan grieve Arlo in such an understated but devasting way...holy shit. one of the best moments in the show imo. because it doesn't matter if you hate your parent and they were shitty and abusive. you still loved them. you still love who they were in-between the abuse and maybe you don't grieve the person they were but you grieve what could have been and what you never had with them.
1: Decoy, season 4: all-time best episode of justified and top-tier episode of television everywhere. the episode is really the pinnacle of justified's genre (neo western). e v e r y t h i n g about this episode honors justified's storylines and honors characterization. heart and soul and brain all in one go.
it respects the lawmen and the outlaws in portrayal. the writing is tight, the dialogue is outstanding, and it comes with one of justified's most iconic and thematic shots (the stairwell scene).

this is during the Devin Grayson run (which I haven't read in full yet but I want to) and I keep thinking of how mad oversensitive tumblrinas prob got at this😭 she always gets accused of "hypersexualizing" dick for making women creepy towards him but doesn't it just play into the sad little objectified male meowmeow fandom loves?? she's feeding you people and u don't even appreciate it. but anyways back to Cassie he's getting no shots in but neither is she😯 ngl I thought she was gonna win EASILY

I love the little detail of Cass still holding the disc the whole time. and again pretty fun storytelling choice I enjoyed it

Headcanons for the new Avatar series:
1. Earth Avatar is born in a world where bending no longer exists. In the conflicts rising between benders and non-benders in LoK, a war has arisen and wiped out all benders with advanced weapons. The new Avatar, who I guess we can call Rocky, must restore balance by returning bending to the world and reconnecting with the ancient lion-turtle spirits to help the world find spirituality. I don’t want this one to happen personally, as it’s too similar to the new Dreamworks Dragons series with Toothless and them all being long dead. If the writers still have their spark, they’ll make it good!
2. Bending exists, but is being oppressed. It would be interesting to see an Avatar embroiled in what would essentially be a race conflict, considering the shit we’ve been through with all of the BLM riots and trials. However, I also think the writers may want to err on the side of caution to avoid being too woke. (*spits on Velma*) This may not happen either.
3. Bending exists. Non-bending exists. The problem? Apathy. Nobody cares about the old benders from Korra’s time, sitting in nursing homes with tales to tell. They’re all too busy ensnared in tech, with Cabbagegram and Rumblr and Tweeter. Thus, Rocky must reconnect the people with their past and teach them the ways of spiritual growth and the importance of learning your roots. In line with Tenzin and Aang’s own experiences, this could be really interesting if Team Earth Avatar has a disillusioned airbender who couldn’t care less about their stuffy Air Nomad forefathers and only uses their bending to make their life cushy, like bending a bag of chips over to the couch. like this idea! Big Mitchells vs. Machines vibes, and I know Tumblr liked that movie.
4. Bending is being used for war and war only. This isn’t likely to me, as A:TLA touched on this topic the most. All opposing elements were stashed away by the Fire Nation, either culled like the Southern waterbenders and airbenders or forced to assist in the war effort like Haru and his dad. Still, with the bender and non bender conflict in LOK, it could tie in with the first theory rather well. A possibility, but not one I like.
5.Rocky wakes up with visions of a weird old lady. He has somehow acquired the power to control earth, and must hide it from people while being compelled to follow his visions of Korra. (Korra’s cycle reset, so sadly, no Aang or Roku or Kyoshi I think.) He is drawn to the ruins of an island, where he encounters a journal written by Tenzin and discovers he is the Avatar. Nobody seems to care or even know what an Avatar is, or what bending is. Ties in with theory one where bending is a lost art, because that would make it more relatable to the audience of plain old people. A couple of people believe him, he gets his team Avatar of complete non benders, and sets out to tell the world the story of the Avatar cycle and why bending exists. At every turn, he is thwarted by government officials who want to use him as a weapon for his strange and untapped abilities. Along the way, the spirit portals which once lay dormant in Republic City reactivate with the Avatar’s return, sending out bending to the world just as airbending was restored in LoK. I like the idea of nonbenders winning and being more powerful like Suki and Sokka, but with modern takes on weapons. A team Avatar member with a Glock or Beretta or Mauser would be fuckin funny but not possible for the kids show. Who knows? This is a hot idea for me, even though it seems kinda cliche with other shows likely having done the same trope of modern kid receiving ancient powers. Still, an oldie can still be a goodie.
I trust the writers to introduce Rocky or whoever his name is well. I trust their judgement in the upcoming films. But most of all, I’m excited to see what references we’ll get to our beloved shows of the past when we sat on beanbags and ate Cheetos after school watching Agni Kais and bending battles. (The ship discourse was a downside though, I didn’t like being bullied for being okay with how each series turned out canonically.) I’m not the only young adult who will be in that theater in 2025, crying over the adult Gaang and Iroh and how this franchise has affected me, and I hope the rest of our fandom is equally hopeful about how well each story will be crafted.

So, I gave holli a whole list with things preventing me from writing the fic I'm working on. But I think I need your help too? Since you're the Black family specialist (I agree with holli, we need a better name) I hope you can help me with these things :)
The Black Family library. Would you be able to take books away from it and bring them with you? Like would Sirius be able to take books with him to Hogwarts?
What kind of prejudices would Sirius still hold in 6th year? And would he realise that he has them?
In this, Sirius is more dark leaning. He struggles with the differences between his and James's magical alignments (James is more light leaning). How would that manifest itself?

Ohmygod. THE FREAKING LIBRARY. So. Libraries in ancient pure-blooded households are one of my faaaav things in fics.
(I am writing that Voldemort Wins AU which we talked about rn, and it also has a huge emphasis on the library, since a lot of it takes place in 12GP, so I've been working with it a lot lately).
So since 12GP is more space-limited than, say, Malfoy Manor, or the Manor Cygnus and Druella live in, I think rooms like the Library would have room enlargement charms on them. It would have a huge tall ceiling and rows and rows of tall bookshelves with ancient books in many many languages. Think like... tall gothic church ceilings, stained glass, statues of gargoyles that guard the restricted Dark Magic section. A huge lounge in the middle with sofas, chairs, a chandelier.
I think most rooms have wards on them, so nobody is allowed into Orion's study, private bedrooms, etc. The library probably has wards too, but more extensive, something along the lines of "anybody who's family or a guest can enter", but "only family can borrow books" and "only x specific people can borrow books from the restricted section".
If you borrow a book and don't return it, the pages are charmed to go blank and it becomes useless. If the book lands in the hands of someone it's charmed to be protected against (muggles, enemies of the family), same thing happen, or worse (like it sets itself on fire).
(imagine Remus touching a book Sirius brought with him and it starts screaming at him because it's charmed against beasts).
Walburga is the only one who's allowed into specific parts of the Dark Magic section, because she's petty like that, and at a certain point she extended the access onto Regulus as well when he asked very nicely.
If you try to enter the restricted section without permission or take a book from it, the gargoyle statues wake up and attack you. Or like... plants, ivies? suddenly grow taller, grab you by the limbs. Fun. Lots of room for imagination. Love libraries.

Classism, number 1, above anything.
Snape's Worst Memory happens when they're all around 16, nearing 17.
There are no poor people in Sirius' immediate proximity, he is not exposed to that in any way. James is a rich pure-blood, Peter is presumably not from a poor family either. Now, Remus - people tend to forget - is only poor as an adult; as a kid, his dad also comes from a pure-blooded family with enough wealth, they are not Blacks or Potters-level rich, but Remus did not grow up poor.
Snape is poor by muggle standards, not like the Weasleys who are poor for the Malfoys but can still afford to dress, feed and send all their kids to school, and travel to Egypt.
Growing up like this, it shapes your entire personality. Neither of the MWPP seem to even remotely acknowledge that. Every Snape vs Marauders interaction in canon just.... drips with classism.
The comments about his clothes, his nose, his appearance, calling him names. I think if Snape was a pure-blooded, rich, attractive guy, this dynamic would look so so different.
Intellectualism, number 2.
Sirius is not just smart, he is effortlessly smart. Going back to SWM in canon, James and Sirius in particular keep making fun of Peter for not getting things, or having difficulty with the exam.
They both have the kind of gifted intelligence where they don't have to work hard for it like Peter or Remus, I think Sirius at 16 years old still does not understand that some people genuinely struggle with concepts that seem easy and effortless to him.
"how can you not get something so simple?"; "don't be an idiot!"
number 3, let's just call it popular guy syndrome?
James and Sirius both have this issue - they are both very popular from day one, their names are recognizable, they are good at school, good at Quidditch, girls adore them, they are very attractive, very magically powerful... Just the whole package.
They do have the whole bully aspect to them, even if it's not on purpose, it gives off a feeling that's a little intimidating to other students.
I think that while James would try to use it in favor of making others feel more welcome, become a captain, head boy, etc, Sirius would be a little more reserved, more picky about who he lets into his inner circle, more mean to people he does not like who "want in" on their inside jokes and projects that he considers private. He will be very protective of his little friend group, which will come off a bit as a mean, intimidating popular guy.
Oh my GOD. This. This one right here, is something I love exploring SO much and NEVER see anywhere.
Because this would be a thing, I think this would be their biggest and only fall-out, during the war, because James is SUCH a "black and white" kind of guy, while Sirius is literally Mr. "the world isn't split into good people and Death Eaters, Harry".
James would be 100% against Unforgivables, against torture, a "we are not like them" kind of person, while Sirius is a "fight fire with fire" and "an eye for an eye" kind of fighter.
I can see them having this argument all the time, the "if we don't kill them back, we will never win" argument vs "if we do that, we become just like them".
Therefore, situations where they catch a Death Eater, for instance, and Sirius wants to use more unconventional methods of torture, so they keep arguing. Or using curses that kill (not necessary Avada, but powerful explosions, fire, curses bordering on dark magic) during battles.
I would love to see one particular instance of it when James chooses a light spell, and the guy survives and later severely injures and almost kills one of them, so Sirius kills him. So they keep going back and forth between "if you just weren't so stubborn and self-righteous, and killed him on spot, this would not have happened!" and "this is not the way, I barely recognize you anymore!"

Random opinion #6, 'cause IE ares was disapointing and it makes me sad😢 (part 6) :
7. About the other matches :
Seishou gakuen vs Kidokawa : showing a match who isn't about the main team is actually was actually a good idea (when it doesn't shorten Zeus's). I enjoyed it overall. I just don't like ares/orion Gouenji. Idk he seems... too nice, if that even make sense. (The fact that we don't have news of Yuuka and about his dad wanting him to become doctor doesn't help i guess, but i guess he became a background character now). I mean, watch season one and ares, he isn't the same character anymore. Also, was it really necessary to introduce us to override? We see overrides since season one, we now that when you combine 2 shooting hissatsus, you have a brand new more powerful hissatsus 🙄
inakuni vs hakuren : it was a mess... and this why it is my unironical favorite from ares 🤣 (shirou and atsuya are also my favorites). There was a missed opportunity tho : the fact that Inakuni and Hakuren pratically mirrors each other. I mean, they are both "from the countryside", never participated in any official match before (so literal nobodies at this time), with captains who struggle being proper captains (Michinari 'cause he is Michinari / Shirou spending all his energy to deal with Atsuya while neglecting the others), and a forward/ace striker that think he is the main character (Asuto and Atsuya) while the rest of the team is the background (bonus point : their goalies being the most useless ever). Can be funny while useful for character development, can even be serious at some point. Imagine the 2 teams be like "i don't even know we got here and what's going on now but YOLO i guess lol" and at some point, somone wins we don't know how, and we're just like "that's life". That would make the final winning move of Inakuni less fustruating, 'cause idk Cross Drive came out of nowhere. I also want more Nae and Atsuya annoying siblings energy. Also, Ares Shirou seems too confident : let's have him actually contacting the reinforcement comitee and they send Someoka. Could expend forever but let's move on.
Alia gakuen vs inakuni : what's interesting in sun garden is that they're basically literal "found family" the sakka team. Like they all are adopted bros and sis. This was well portrayed by the Hirotos relationship into the match, and i think it's sweet the team adopted the rich kid even tho they're all orphan and not him and that he's kinda an ass. Kira H. was also a good surprise : i hated him in outer code but became one of my fave of areorion. I would have liked to see more of Nagumo/suzuno dynamics, and more of Reina, Midorikawa and Saginuma. Especially Saginuma 'cause he is done so dirty in areorion : bro can't even stop most of the shoots and still got selectionned into IJ. Like tell me about him! Is he the big bro in his brotherhood? What happened to his writting skills? I don't mind him having a goofy personality in this timeline, but what about the gaslighting and all in the og? He made Fubuki have a mental breakdown! Also, a missed opportunity : in Hakuren, one of the reason of their dramas was that their captain had a hard time staying firm on Atsuya because he is his lil bro. Imagine that, but all the team are your siblings lmao. Finally, even if he is already among the better point, i would like to see more of Hiroto : i mean this is the only moment he has character development and is just a "bad boi" striker for all orion, even if he appears quite often and has so many occasions for this! Make him interact more with Atsuya and i am actually serious about that : both kinda think they are the "star/main character" of their team but with different mood (like barbenheimer lol), plus they both supposed to be dead in the og. Hiroto has already more in common with Atsuya than Haizaki, and they didn't even met at this point ! Last after the last thing : at the end of the match, hiroto and tatsuya pull out the most beautiful hissatsus ever just to be stopped by Norika, Asuto and Kozoumaru. What an anticlimacting ending... the hissatsus came too late.
Vs tonegawa tousen : even though ares did not gave us the best matches, the main ones have their highlights anyways (read above). However, Tonegawa really only has Endou (sorry Sakanoue). Like it was memorable 'cause Inakuni had no idea how to get a goal from overhyped Endou (and there is also a racoon girl). I can't remember anything else 😭 Even the (french ?) dub is aware of that and they called it "lambda school" (which basically mean random school) : the savagery omg. I don't know how to make the other team members memorable but here a plot suggestion (southpark inspired me) : Tonegawa Tousen is a humble soccer team that only plays for leisure, as a hobby. But since every soccer club needs a sponsor now, they participate in the "job fair" kinda event at the beginning (read part one). What they haven't predicted is that a reinforcement comitee member will join them afterward. Moreover, they got Endou, who is determined to make them train like hell with truck tyres and participate in FF, 'cause that's his definition of fun. It's not that they don't like Endou (who hates him anyway?), but they didn't want to be competitive and under the spotlights. Sponsor is not really helping 'cause it want its advertisement. So the team tries to make Endou understand subtly what soccer really means for them : "you know Endou, we are just happy to have the occasion to get together with friends, having fun, being silly, to be able to laugh when someone fails without hurting his pride, to take bets to determine who is the best, being able to confort each other when we are not okay and forgetting the rest that sucks. After the training, we usually talk shit and laugh together around a meal, it's the time we all have a genuine smile despite how bad the day could be. And you know, even if we are not great at this game, this soccer club is enough for us. Do you know what we mean?" and Endou answers "yes i totally get it" while understanding that soccer must be really important for them to be this emotional and does the contrary of what they expected. After Tonegawa won matches, the team usually cries 'cause they're still stuck in this tournament and Endou thinks they're just really emotional that they got this far and couldn't believe it. He stays unaware the whole time and guess his teammates are dramatic. When they finally lose, their joy is short-lived 'cause they soon feel pathetic to have been in such situation because of miscommunication and of course Endou thinks they're just dissapointed to not have won and cheers them.

Hi all! (and yes, I am absolutely thinking this in Stede Bonnet’s voice)
I want to talk about the mistake I made early on in this latest round of Dinluke Discourse and what I will do moving forward.
In retrospect, I shouldn’t have centered the dark!dinluke corner of fandom so early in my responses to reactions to my initial post. It was too easy to fall back on and retread the same well-tread ground as previous bouts of Discourse had, meaning we’d be stuck in a rut, arguing about “ymmv” and kink-shaming and fandom purity culture and pro/anti shippers and witch hunts and GOD I AM SICK AND TIRED OF ALL THAT. It becomes an “us vs. them” contest of wills and screaming matches and insults and harassment and threats, and then what? We flame out, nobody wins and nothing happens, and we go back to the status quo?
Absolutely not.
I proposed being more vocal and hostile toward harmful tropes, stereotypes, and trends that had become so prolific in the fandom. Right after that, I centered a specific group of creators and fans in subsequent posts, beginning yet another round of hostility, harassment, gaslighting, what-have-you. In doing so, I lost the intent of my original post. The narrative became, once again, about people dictating how everybody else should fandom based on what they like and dislike, which derails the conversations that should be had about how to make fandom a safer and more inclusive space for all.
It’s basically the pro/anti shipper debate, which is one of the fucking worst things to come out of contemporary fandom. Everyone is a proshipper until you do something others aren’t comfortable with and suddenly you’re the antishipper. You call out racist and xenophobic characterizations of Din and you’re now an anti for threatening the comfort of people who don’t want to be challenged, who don’t want their rose-tinted shades to shatter, who don’t want to be accused of being That Kind Of Person. “Oh heavens me, I never meant any harm, I just want to have fun in my lil’ ol' sandbox, how dare you accuse me of these things, blah blah blah.” So what about the people who experience daily microaggressions and would like to, oh I don’t know, not see more of that shit when they also want to have fun?
When I said we should’ve been “louder and meaner”, what I should’ve stated explicitly was we should make fandom hostile to all forms of aggression, be they the more subtle everyday microaggressions (a thousand cuts) or the more blunt and stark macroaggressions (a bludgeoning).
Today, I saw a lot of conversations about the “Luke in a dress” trope, and the harm that comes from turning acts of nonconformity and queer expression into reinforcements of heterosexual and cisnormative roles. That trope about him being the “Mom” and Din being the “Dad”? Terrible, it should die. Assigning character traits based on who tops and who bottoms? Set that practice on fire. Let these things sink to the deep dark depths of the void.
I’m not sorry if what I provoked made you uncomfortable about what you create and consume. You should feel uncomfortable. You know how uncomfortable I felt when I first read serious discussions about Pedro’s identity as a white Latine? Because I had misconceptions or simply Did Not Know That, and I had to check myself. I’m still correcting myself, I’m still learning. I’m reblogging posts and commentary from people who know these things far, far better than I do, because I know when to shut the fuck up and help amplify other voices. Honestly, I would rather reblog commentary from people who are well-versed in discussing issues with how fandom had been characterizing the dinluke ship because I’m supremely unqualified to carry deeper discussions. As someone pointed out in an attempt to shut me down, I’m Korean-American. It’s in my fucking bio. I’m also ace and AFAB. And I fucking care about my fellow BIPOC and queer fans. It’s called solidarity.
I found this twitter thread a few days ago. Stitch is speaking specifically about racism in fandom but I think this is incredibly relevant to how we should approach these issues in the fandom (any fandom, really) and how we should make this space a safer place. I don't expect toxic tropes and trends to be completely eradicated because that’s just not how anything works, but I am interested in diminishing their presence in the dinluke tags. I'm interested in centering more interesting, creative, and less harmful interpretations of these tropes and trends in these discussions and fanworks.
I’ll probably keep anon asks off for at least another week and take some time to draw and write. Somehow got myself so pumped up about dinluke again. Sorry, outline to that OFMD fic. You’ll just have to wait a while.

anywhos, the fam’s all separate doing their own things until Gabby summons them all. Logan does not like Jonathan lol, ok i like that; dad doesn't like the dog you go while he was dead is funny. but Gabby wants to do some family bonding via a road trip; i can get behind that. Logan doesn’t like being called old, Laura thinks fighting bad guys is enough family bonding time (wth? no she wouldn’t), and Daken is actually all for indulging his little sister which is sweet...even though he does brush off her near non-respawning too easily. and yeah no, i don’t buy Laura and Daken not being instantly into the idea of having non-fighting time family memories while Logan is the only one who is; those kids were both made to be weapons, they’ve only ever wanted to be normal kids, why wouldn’t they jump at this if they hadn’t thought of it themselves to begin with. why can no one write them correctly anymore, they’re all just mini-Logans these days.

so Logan avoids hitting a deer in the road, so they finally realize Jonathan is missing. they head back, figure out what happened, google where the family went, so they drive to Vegas. this part was really short it seemed.

we start off seeing how Jonathan was kidnapped; he was roofied. alright then. Jonathan makes friends with a honey badger he can talk to and plans to escape, while the fam arrives and does their own investigating.
hehe Deadpool easter egg since it was Wade who got helped Gabby get Jonathan.
oh creepy, the kidnapper family are groupies. boy, Logan gets a lot of stuff sold on the black market like all the time; if the guy just properly merchandised himself all his kids would have trust funds forever (since you know, long life spans)
oh c’mon! how’d they get taken out so easily and quickly. it took the Orphans of X months of planning to capture them before, but a couple of nobodies in the desert do it off panel??

anywhos, over all it was a cute little romp. it’s nice to see them as a family not overly edge-lordy-angsty-stupid. lately everyone seems to forget that these guys are about “the man vs the monster/weapon” and only focus on the angsty drama of fighting against the monster/weapon while forgetting that you need to highlight the struggles but also rewards of just getting to be the man, even at the simplest of times. art wise, it was also fine. so i guess this one was the middle of the other two in my triple feature readathon.

Yeah that's fair, running characters through the blorbo machine is also fun and also dang, that's one hell of a good description re: the whole 'look at me' segment, and I definitely get the appeal of characters going feral and just losing it. I think I lost the appeal for it in canon somewhere in between all the fandom war, but if there's a good fic that writes it RIGHT, then there's a part of me that still likes Hawks going feral and being a grade A threat, it's fun. But it's also super specific in the way I write it idk, something about the majority fics don't hit right with anyone's characterizations.
Also ShigaHawks parallels. *chefs kiss* are my bread and butter because here are two twenty somethings with opposing childhood financial backgrounds where one saved 5 people and a dog (granted, the dog was in a different arc) and another killed 5 people and a dog and they've been groomed into their respective roles by the highest ranking member of their respective sides, who had their names taken away, only these two! nobody else goes through that! who are known to be intellectual and fast, who caught on to the same thing (MLA books) whose panels and conviction lowkey mirror and contrast each other, (in the same arc, Shigaraki's multispread page to destroy and not let there be a future vs Hawks multispread page to save and there still being a future, where Shigaraki hates the thought of flowers and smiling, Hawks wishes for it) where one gains freedom and the other falls deeper into someone else's control, they have the same sad downcast look in their eyes, the same reactions in some scenes, they were both abused by their dads while their mom just stood by, (credit to Nao for at least doing something about it) the same determination even when everything looks like it's going to shit for them, they find a way out of a pickle and WIN, however much of a win it can be despite what they lose. (When they get trapped in a battle, have a goal, succeed in that goal, despite being interrupted by a Todoroki and the damage they take.) The way the story portrayed Shig as getting nicer and Hawks' image became darker. son of a villain, grandson of a hero, one has a grudge against you for the connection to his father, the other wants to reach out to you for the connection to his mentor. and then there's the whole transcendent god vs angel/messenger vibe. Even in the meaning of their names! They were teased about meeting the whole series! Even in the movie! We were so robbed.
OUGH THE PARALLELS. Yes believe me I have thought about that a lot 😭 there's also something to me about Hawks finding more common ground with these people — these literal wanted terrorists that he's been sent to take down — than he has with the people whose side he's meant to be on

Nobody Wants to Hear It
How many of us go through the day thinking - gotta be strong... nobody wants to hear about it, anyways? Twist it - how many of you ask how somebody’s day is, with every hope that they don’t repay that kind gesture by laying all of their baggage on you within that very moment? And how many of us think that, so we wouldn’t dare_2_do that? The better question in a VS REALITY type world - are we all overly consumed with ourselves OR are we are overly tired trying to keep up with Disney World? My meaning - We have humans trying to keep up with machines just to try and stretch the wallet to the kitchen (speaking from experience with 2 growing littles), while also trying to keep up in the fast_lane_lifestyle that we all live in. We have to keep up, just to keep up. We are building a world that is "so quick” (think light-savers vs Ice Age) and it is breaking man-kind. Why are we pushing our communities so hard to the point they resemble what a machine can do?
My point here…is we all act like we care. And to be fair, I like to assume that we do all care, at least a little. But we are all so busy trying to keep up with life that we are forgetting to notice what is going on around us. We are living in a society of technology advancements and pushing people to keep up, without noticing what’s going on at home - or on the inside - because society says that shit gets left at the door. What I mean is that, we all have our own baggage. And WE all walk around with the intentions of leaving our personal life at home.
Twister this, Dorthy style - with me, because I’m still healing. So much happens when we are little, in our tiny brains, at home. And babes go through all of these little traumatic disasters that adults don’t see; simply - because - kids - can’t - explain - it, which means it sticks around. And then we have all these little tiny trauma monsters that start growing UP within our kiddos who start growing up and forget to use the parts of the their brain that technically doesn’t exist yet. Years following all of the trouble, we have young adults making decisions they shouldn’t be qualified to make, for people that don’t even know who they are yet. Even more years later, we have adults being pushed to machine-like levels, still having no idea who they are. And they are parenting kids who are experiencing things the parent couldn’t understand even if they wanted too.
Uh Oh…storms building up. Ima keep taking it back. To what was my first traumatic experience - as a young kid - around 15ish…right when all dem pretty boys & bad choices start showing up…- My soccer coach, a very decent looking man himself, was my half/time rock gone dad from another family, for a very long time. I was the “Team Captian” for ourteam. Right around fifteen, my mental health started fucking with me. Or it was just puberty and I didn’t know how to deal or talk about it. So I didn’t. Anyways, my safe place was soccer, with my team, and my coach. And the win/vs/loss ratio didn’t matter, technically. It was my happy place where I could be free - and - me, with no need to talk about the messy suffering happening within my own head_or_space. See, I had two seperate, but equally good, groups of friends. I had my soccer girls - where solid good (mostly) decisions were made, unless it was summer and we were at camp…and I had my school friends, who I mostly hung out with when I wasn’t with my soccer team. It was more of a sisterhood though, really, just ran/coached by a man. But I made a mistake one night, and got drunk for a jr,high basketball game, and my life kinda started whirl winding - and I’ve tried not to look back ever since.
See, I have always been one that has dealt with her emotions alone - literally and totally by herself. Yes, I mentioned I was an introvert but I also feel like I am a super socially awkward person. And most people piss me off. But that’s because I have my own shit going on. Back up a little…we are still talking trauma/mental_illness. I started going to alcohol with my school friends first. And One night I got REALLY drunk. And I got caught. At school. And the principal had to call my rents to come pick me up. And girls, let me tell you. I got in TROUBLE that night…even though I had my boys out there trying to stash my ass in the car. Anyways, I called my coach that night over and over again. Because I was hurting and I needed my other dad/brother. I regretted it immediately the next morning. We never talked about it…nothing was ever said. But I did get cut from the team the following year, which was shortly after this incident. Oh and he didn’t tell me that he was cutting me from the team. He just let the next in line call me for round 2 back ups. And we never talked again, at least in a form I have wanted too for a very long time.
That was the first time my heart had truly been crushed in a million little pieces. And I dealt with it alone, because I didn’t know how to have such strong feelings out in a public-kind-of-way. And eventually, enough time had passed where I was able to stuff those feelings away so fucking far that I forgot to actually deal with them. Within that one moment, I lost my safest place. I lost my happyest place. I lost my team. I lost my coach. And I lost all the memories that we made together every single year. I missed fighting and playing (in all the ways we did) as a team. Instead, I went on to making my own decisions, for a self I no longer loved-or-cared about the way I used too, and have since ended up as a lone-survivor type of girl. But that’s why I am here, sharing what I went through. In my eyes, I looked up to a man that left me as quickly as I needed him and I spent so much of the following time looking for a love that didn’t exist, But I don’t know what he was going through, or the point that he was hoping to prove by making that decision. And today, 16-ish years later (my old soccer number) I am able to put it on paper, through a different life crisis.
And that’s my other point. Nobody wants to talk about it. And nobody else has fucking time too. But we should, because it matters. We should, because the world is on fire. Our youth are at risk. My coach left me when I needed him. He left me in a time that my mental health was breaking. And I no longer had a safe place to be me, so I went out to find substances that made me not feel what I was going through. And then I started making bad fucking choices with equally sketchy people.
That’s the breaking point today. Because the bigger point is that too many people spend too much time fighting for the wrong things and end up leaving the wrong people for the wrong reasons.
More people need to stick around…just to see what happens. You never know who you will end up playing ball with…
