here's a little life update! i think you guys deserve it after my absence that lasted longer than even i expected it to last ;( i am very sorry about that. i miss everyone here and bangtan so much, you have no idea. the reason for all that is that for the past months i have been going through a lot of things and changes in my life. there were good and bad things happening, time flies extra fast, days melt into one and i didn't even notice the past half a year pass. although i think my absence was unavoidable in these circumstances i just thought that you guys deserve to know what's been up with me for the past months haha i have received a lot messages and reminders that people remember about me and that they miss me and i just want to send all of you my biggest apologies for leaving you for so long with no response, as well as all my love and gratitude! 🥺 i think i've been always fairly transparent on here so if anyone wanted to know more I'll leave some more details in the tags but basically I just hope that soon i will be able to become more active again and respond to messages ❤️❤️❤️ i hope everyone is doing great 🥰

Rewatching Namjoon’s news segment now that they’ve added subs and why do I get the feeling this was a prime example of “Namjoon takes a bullet for the group” as he’s asked about Jin’s enlistment? This allows someone to talk about it without ever having put any pressure on Jin to do so, which was fair and the right thing to do that’s his business, but in order to placate fans and curious outsiders it falls on ‘Leader of BTS RM’ to cover it. 

The amount of hate he’s getting now from Jin and JK solos, stans, and bias fans as a result of this interview though is really disgusting. I seriously doubt JK’s ever gonna be asked about Jin’s enlistment or any of the others for that matter so this really did just fall on top of Joon’s shoulders despite the fact that at least within the next year or so 3 other members, including himself, will also most likely enlist too. Is anyone gonna ask the maknae line how they’ll feel once the hyung line have all enlisted? Will JK ever have to navigate an interview of touchy subjects as well as Namjoon handled this one? I seriously fucking doubt it.

I also don’t know if when Jin gets back he’ll do any interviews about the experience, maybe he will and he can take back control of whatever narrative gets spun over the next 18 months. Or maybe he won’t and keep that a private matter. Regardless Namjoon was asked, he answered, and in the most normal, reasonable way possible. How anyone can take offense to anything he said is just plain insanity and I need more solos to get therapy or start new hobbies ASAP. 

I can’t even look forward to a day where another person takes the brunt of this bullshit other than Namjoon because he is the leader, and he always will be until the group disbands. So like, just a reminder of this because I think it’s perfect for this situation:
