Little Sonic very much was a little shit with an additude[affectionate] that had only himself to take care of, to pick the most dangerous and coolest path perceived to him and never let himself be hindered by bystanders. But then suddenly he had another kid to take care of. He had to learn to be responsible for more than just his own survival, he had to ration his resources better, to take the needs and desires of another person into account, to slow down explain and be patient, and realizing that having people around that he can lean on is a good thing sometimes. (even if he doesn't really carry that lesson with him. He knows it's there but a dunce hat on you if you think he'd remember it's there for his own sake)
But what if he met Tails way down the line or never at all? What would their relationship be like then, when Sonic mostly figured himself out with no strong outside influence.
I believe he would still go from doing what's cool to what he believes is right, beat Eggman along with any villain that crops up in his path, and make friends all over the world, but without Tails by his side so early on, I don't think any of the relationships he could hold would be as deep or meaningful to him because he only ever had himself to worry about, never feeling the need to connect with anyone beyond friendly hello's and occasional team-ups to defeat the big bad of the week. He would be friendly, but without a little guy around to always keep an eye on, also double the reckless and additude heavy speedster one would be usually accustomed to.
Always at arm's length and never quite reachable, no matter how close he holds his friends when rescuing them from a mad doctor's trap.
Always feeling there's something missing.

I was just re-reading this quote for the first time in a while, and realized it’s got some unique qualities that point to its integrity as a piece of evidence.
With the Laurens-Hamilton relationship, how many possible meanings a letter has is almost more important than what is said in the first place. This isn’t a quote that can be excused as humor or teasing or “how people wrote back then.” It’s a serious quote from Hamilton that talks about his relationship with Laurens, which we don’t have to many of. It’s not like the beginning of the April 1779 letter, which can be brushed off as “how people wrote.” It’s not innuendo that can be excused as “bawdy humor.” It’s a serious and non-flowery or sentimental sentence which contains many elements that point to a romance between Hamilton and Laurens. There is no other strong explanation for Laurens to be directly compared to Schuyler. (And especially the “black eyes” part-- in spite of something Hamilton is attracted to about his wife, he still has a “part” for Laurens...) The rest of the quote is even more implicating-- why would Laurens want Hamilton to be married so that Hamilton’s affection would wane? Why would their relationship need a cure if it was a socially acceptable friendship?
tl, dr: Because Hamilton’s writing is so direct and clear, with so few opposing interpretations, (but many implications!) or the ability to be construed as a joke, this letter is a pretty unique piece of evidence, and one of the strongest to suggest a Laurens-Hamilton relationship. (And good for refuting criticism.)

Before volume 2 I thought that they were gonna save the painting for when they got together, if that be in season 5, then season 5, but then they brought it out so I was like "oh, this is the moment" but then it wasn't and I was confused
but in retrospect, I get it. They did save the painting for when they get together, they just also used it now. It wasn't as simple as setup-payoff - the setup being that he painted something secret and the payoff being what it is. The payoff was aNOTHER setup, what it means, which Mike still doesn't know.
I know I may be being captain obvious here, but it's more about me putting that together with my original expectations. I expected them to use the painting with the final reveal or not at all until then, but they did both. The payoff wasn't what the painting is, it's what the painting means and I suppose I hadn't thought of those being able to be separated.

Jingliu tells Yanqing "your zealousness inhibits your ability to hide your line of attack". This is something at what Jing Yuan excels
#And the thing we see him insisting on with Yanqing and Fu Xuan#This is also something that was repeatedly stated on the fencing book I read#And it related to the sight‚ as they called it iirc#The book insisted a lot on how a true swordmaster is patient and is able to see in the little movements and gestures of their opponent#the movement they'll make and thus what will have to be faced#Seeing this and anticipating their movements quickly was one of the keys for being a master#There were several things in that book that made me think of Jingliu. I still have to save the fragments here#Anyway... Yanqing replies saying precisely that general Jing Yuan has told him something similar before. I love him haha#I also love that Jing Yuan says himself he has 'no affinity with the sword' and that 'are getting rusty'#I don't know. I adore that the general of the Cloud Knights isn't a natural swordmaster. I love that he admits it too#And I love that Jingliu taught him nonetheless. I adore everything this tells us about these characters#and I won't ramble about it‚ I'll behave‚ but... this reminded me of Yingxing lol#I love the idea well beyond Yingxing and I don't think it has to do with him at all‚but I love that it reminds me of him and master Huaiyan#I talk too much#Jingliu#Yanqing#Hmmm maybe I should find a tag for something that's not Blade related‚ but also doesn't go in the databank tag#Traces#Jing Yuan#I think I should tag him too#I'm sorry if this appears in the main tags. I'm changing my magical girl outfit and I have 5 I like and I cant pick one... they don't even match the magic I gave myself anyways idk why I'm like this...
Anyways I'm just taking them all 🤷🏾♀️ when I wear them in my DR I'll decide which ones I want to keep.
On that note I need to pick a wand/weapon too. The struggle starts again.

For me, most of the cookies of darkness are kind of terrible to each other. They don't really have much trust or love for each other, just working on a job for a charismatic leader.
Dark Choco was one of the few ones who managed to get out of that group and seams to be doing all the better for it. I like to think that if he and Licorice where to have a relationship, it would also require Licorice leaving the group as well.
What i mean to say is, 'Thats how i'm fanficing the ship'. Where Licorice ether leaves or otherwise is questioning what he's doing with his life, and wants to see how Dark Choco is doing.
Yeah, looking at their relationship charts and just their behavior in general, outside of Poison Mushroom, in canon they seem to be a pretty dysfunctional group. I get why people want to make them into like a found family, and I do find it cute, but again, in canon this doesn’t seem to be the case. So yeah, I get what you mean. And your idea of how this relationship would happen and Licorice leaving also sounds like an interesting one.
This isn’t necessarily for shipping purposes, it’s just in general, but I did once have an idea that Licorice, along with others like his minions and maybe Poison Mushroom, end up leaving the Cookies of Darkness because of the Sovereign of Darkness, and seeing what that thing is and knowing how messed up it is for Dark Choco is what gets him to leave. Because while Licorice may not have liked Dark Choco all that much, he definitely didn’t deserve being made into basically a living dough puppet, his only moments of consciousness being agonizing screams, and what possibly transpired to turn him into the Sovereign. Like it’s way too far and he can’t really stand for it, so he leaves and maybe warns the good guys (though that doesn’t necessarily mean he joins them). Just something I wanted to share
