In Knives Out Blanc wanted to do the murder mystery investigation with Marta so bad, but she was certain she was guilty so she spent a good amount of the movie avoiding/hiding stuff from him

Meanwhile in Glass Onion Helen was fucking carrying the investigation, even while accidentally getting drunk, and even went to investigation lengths Blanc was hesitant to do

Going to pick Marta Romero (Keira's fiance) this time (I mean I literally made her with the intent to have her marry Keira so I love her)

Content Warning: I do discuss her emotionally abusive ex

She was close with her paternal grandparents. Her abuelo Manuel grew up in the Dominican Republic and her abuela Maria grew up in Mexico. They and their son (her padre) Rafael moved to Cuba where her parents met. Her mama Aymee was raised in Cuba.

2. When she was a teen her family left Cuba and moved to Texas where many of her abuela's friends and family had moved to. Because there was a large community of Spanish speakers Marta continued to speak mostly in Spanish even though she began to learn English.

3. Manuel and Maria died of old age. Shortly after Marta graduated high school Rafael and Aymee were traveling, caught the flu, and died from complications. Left with no true family Marta wanted a complete change of scene and chose to move to Britechester. She didn't wish to attend university but she knew there would be people her age there to become friends with.

4. Longing to feel special to someone she fell in the habit of hitting the nightclubs and hooking up with various men and women. Eventually she ran into Liam, the one night stand who decided to keep pursuing her. After two years of emotional abuse destroyed the love she felt for him, Marta left, swiping his student ID so she could keep getting into the music suite under the library and sing as loud as she liked.

5. Meeting Keira was a turning point for Marta. She saw a shy beautiful girl who didn't think much of herself and wanted to build her up so that Keira would never have to be in an abusive relationship like she was. Then she fell for Keira and was happy to discover Keira had feelings for her to. Now they're engaged!
