has there ever been a time when a driver lost more followers than he has gained?

So I haven't had an F1 driver lose more BUT it's something I see regularly with a handful of IndyCar drivers.

Marcus Ericcson has lost 239 Instagram followers over the course of this season. Scott Dixon has lost 4 followers since the start of the season (he is up and down).

Josef Newgarden lost almost 900 followers this past offseason and it took him a while to get those back.

And then there is rookie Devlin DeFrancesco and I would put my reputation on the fact that he bought followers last year based on these very specific spikes in followers as shown here:

Above it shows his followers gained every week and it was usually a very small number (and exactly what I would expect for him to gain based off other drivers at similar places in their career like Kyle Kirkwood) and then he pretty mysteriously gained 21k in a week.

But since those big spikes, he has very steadily lost followers (as IG shuts bots down, I'd assume). He has lost 2,153 followers since the beginning of the season and since the start of the last offseason (Oct 1, 2021), he has lost 10,006 followers.

I highly doubt though that we'd see an F1 driver lose followers like that though unless something egregious happened and even then, I'm not sure what'd happen.
