Sun, Din thinks.

Well, maybe he thinks ka, but no one else needs to know that.

The Jedi reminds him of the sun, fitting he supposes for a man raised under two of them. And it's not just his rays of blonde hair, or the brilliant smile he lets loose after accomplishing some pretty spectacular piloting. But, Din thinks, the warmness that leaches from him - a gentle burning that permeates his air.

Skywalker.

Din could laugh.

He thinks about his hands, settled on Luke's bare shoulders from shaking him awake the other night - how he had felt too hot and too cold. The piercing gaze that had met his, when the Jedi’s eyes had flown open - the power, the burning.

Din thinks Ka'ra, and shudders. What would the clans of old think of this?
