You're not losing it, I promise. If someone's been on your mind a lot lately, you've been haunting them, too. And for the few of you where this is less about a specific person and moreso a goal or concern that just will not let you think straight and be present, rest assured that you can release your worries. Just let go. Attract, don't chase. What you want wants you. You really shouldn't be reading this either to be quite frank, because it seems as though you are running around aimless in the woods looking for signs that you're not going crazy. In which case do take this as your final sign that yes, what you feel in your heart to be true is correct. Those of you awake at night tossing and turning because you're awake running marathons in the dreams of another, know that they can barely focus because of you. It is as though half of what you feel when you quiet down is from them, and they can feel you in their energy, too. Your energies have a magnetic pull where you're both constantly in each other's peripheral, lurking like a predator watching its prey. It's not toxic, though, just a little obsessive. They want to see you and be with you, and the distance is making that gravitational pull so much stronger, leading to that addictive nightwatch. Good news and developments are on the horizon, and things will get moving very soon. The barricades put up by you or them or life circumstances are coming down, and quite abruptly at that. This is something that simply cannot be stopped and is inevitable. Sparks are already flying and it'll only get warmer from here, and this is a fire that will continue raging once it starts burning in earnest.

I don't know what you were told growing up, but if you have too much on your plate it's okay to leave the table and come back to it later. Don't judge yourself if you've bitten off more than you can chew either. Take things one step at a time, and go at exactly the pace you feel comfortable with right now. That pace is bound to change, and it'll change frequently, in fact. Your 100% looks different every day and that's okay. Don't measure your own progress with someone else's ruler. Silence the distractions and the noise and get away if you need solitude. Taking time for yourself does not make you selfish. Anyone who gets upset when you set boundaries would not have respected them anyway had they been there all along. Don't scrap your ideas, finetune them. Start over if you have to, but your previous efforts have not been in vain and can help direct your focus. Every time you tell a story, details change, but because you know the gist of it, things get better and more elaborate each time and gives you more fluidity. Use your ideas and previous attempts to better prepare for a new beginning. Stopping isn't giving up and square one isn't an enemy, but a teacher. In terms of love you may find yourself in separation of some kind. Perhaps you're not seeing eye to eye or there has been distance, or even radio silence, between you. I wouldn't worry too much about it, however. Your inward focus makes you more magnetic and what is for you will use that as a guiding light to come to you.

Time for some spring cleaning? Alright. If there is something you need to discard that no longer serves you, do it now. You've been thinking about it for a reason. Life is not a game of chess, so stop overthinking things. Your need to perfect the outcome is leaving you at a stalemate when really you should be moving forward. Do what you want to do and say what you want to say. Don't put up with the status quo or let outside circumstances restrict you. Things will work out in your favour if you just stop white-knuckling the reins and follow your heart down the path of what you desire. The light at the end of the tunnel is not as far away as it seems. I'll have to tell you the same thing I told pile 1: what you want wants you. If you have set your sight on something, or someone, they very much have their eyes on you too. Circumstances may appear too difficult, or even inappropriate, to allow a pursuit, but between consenting adults, who's really to say what you can and cannot do? The same applies to goals, too. If something appears like a distant pipe dream, it's not the circumstances that need to change, but your mindset. And if you've been telling yourself what you do and do not deserve, remember that harsh criticism and narrow boxes that do not fit quite right hurt for a reason. If you're disappointed with what you have, try something else. Telling yourself you can't have it hurts because you know in your heart that you can but the wires between head and heart are faulty, disconnected perhaps, and you're only hearing the voice of the critic and the hater, not the hypeman and the lover.

I live near Stirling atm and am poor as hell but would LOVE to come check you out some time and having an idea of what I can afford would be really helpful!
Oh sure! Jewellery ranges from £2 (studs) through £15 (really fancy chokers) with most being £4-7
Keychains and magnets etc are also in the approximate £5 range
There are some heart shaped button badges for £2, and stickers for £1-2
The most expensive item is a £40 resin rainbow storage tower (it has 900g resin in it which cost like £20 by itself so you know) but under that the most expensive thing is £25 for a resin chess set and £15 for these guys

assorted bomberman headcanons
This got rather long so to not clog the tag, ermmmm
When trying to stay awake [desperate times call for desperate measures-type deals] Blue will blast loud music directly into his ears. Think things like Enter Sandman by Metallica.
Plasma's scarf is, in fact, part of him. It follows his emotions-- if he's mad it'll spike up and will shock you, and if he's calm it'll be more of a quiet rumble, like an old CRT tv's screen static. It buzzes all the time.
Plasma can also control where his scarf moves. He usually uses it to gesture at things. This also means he can push you around or flip you off with it. Massive W.
Yellow and Aqua are twins. I will die on this hill.
The Bomberman Bros all had [keyword; had] color-coded blankets. This fell apart when Yellow traded with Aqua over textures. Now everyone has a swath of different colors. It's comforting in its own way. Pretty tried this when it was just her, White, Black and Pink-- that fell apart when she died and they split her belongings. The blankets White and Black got eventually ended up in storage, but the one Pink has is hung up on her bedroom wall.
The Dastardly Bombers all live in the same house at the moment [it is Phantom's]. It's kind of like a frathouse.
Magnet's favorite kind of music is Techno. He often plays it at max volume.
Red and Blue often get into arguments about wether checkers or chess is better.
The only game Green is bad at is Spoons. He can't react fast enough to win.
Blue collects dice sets. His favorite dice are D4. Great for laying out as weapons. His favorite set look like prisms.
Red can breathe fire. It's very system-intensive, so it's a last-ditch-effort attack.
Black likes writing. Yellow has convinced him to write small plots for him to make comic books with.
Golem names all of his birds. Phantom's house is surrounded by birdhouses.
Blue has narcolepsy. Honestly I'm pretty sure this is canon?
White can't sleep without some kind of noise. He has at least three fans, one heater, a radio and four white noise machines he cycles through.
Blue and Phantom are rivals. They often try to hack eachothers computers to put silly images onto them. Neither have ever succeeded.
White is always the last to go to bed. Yellow is almost always the first to wake up. The only exception to this is Blue, who can be up whenever.
Pink has a collection of plastic weapons. Think big battle axes, scythes, etc.
Blue always has bags of pretzels in his room. They are his favorite. No one else likes pretzels.
The Bomberman bros all have little glow-in-the-dark stars glued to the roofs of their rooms. White never got around to removing his. Black has painted a moon on his roof to go along with them. Pink counts them to sleep. Blue's room aesthetic is very star-themed, so he got even MORE stars. Red, Yellow, Aqua and Green all wanted them.
Pink consumes the most horror content out of anyone.
Aqua has a very extensive enamel pin collection and participates in pin trading. She has like. 3 corkboards full of pins.
White likes to collect reusable, recycled material bags.
Green's room is full of stuff. He says it's all put in specific places-- organized chaos-- but he puts it all in stacks. White tells him to clean his room a lot. The stacks just move around. It's a constant back and forth between them.
Aqua has drank hot sauce before. Like a drink.
Magnet is covered in scuff marks from his powers activating and pulling him against things.
Red occasionally does woodcarving.
Pretty is bad at letting go of items that can be even vaugely sentimental. She's kept almost everything she's ever been given, even if it's broken.
When he was younger, Black broke multiple handheld game consoles from overuse.
White is surprisingly good at fighting games. He mostly plays puzzle games.
Yellow likes to bake. He can make cookies, and that's it.
Golem often picks up the other Dastardly Bombers and carries them around. He often throws them over his shoulder.

Ok so maybe I invented a gravity falls au.
Long story short, my brain said “Dipple and Maber” instead of the niblings and, while I’m not going to name them that because that’s stupid, I started wondering what would happen if I shuffled things around. Also, I don’t know what to do with Fiddleford so if anyone has ideas, let me hear them please.
This is swap!gravity falls. Including my art, which is mid (except dipper that’s a good dipper)
TLDR main swaps are Dipper/Mabel, Ford/Stan, and Wendy/Soos

Dipper = sweater vests, braces, fashion, confidence, unicorns
Mabel = collared jacket, hat, nerves, brains, science
Soos = lesbian badass with a motorcycle and lots of knives. She’s just here cause it’s a decent job, and she only steps in when needed, but she is very protective of the kids.
Wendell = Dedicated & loyal teen who always does his best but he’s a little stupid. Also he has daddy issues. Crush-crazy bi dipper falls in love with Wendell. Wendell’s teen group is the outcasts, but in a very nerdy losery way. This includes Robin the band geek, Timmy the programmer, Kate and Bee the chess players, and Tabitha who could probably be cool and popular if she wanted.
Candy & Grenda = swapped, so little skinny candy does martial arts and big loud Grenda is a gaming streamer with glasses.
Ford got kicked out of home for being a freak, Stan dropped out of college, Ford fought his way through college with loans and scholarships and has a couple PHDs. Ford came to Stan’s tourist trap 30 years ago (which Bill helped build) to talk to him, Stan let him set up a lab in the basement, went down there after being manipulated by Bill and freaked at how big it was, fight, Stan turned on the portal and ended up falling in, now Ford has to run the shack and try to stabilize the portal so it can open a double-sided gateway for Stan to come back, also he convinced everyone that wym ‘Stanley’ it was always ‘Stanford’ and actually now he’d rather go by his full name or just ‘Ford’ thanks.
Ford = Grunkle 1, loves them kids, enthusiastic, uses mystery shack for money, curious, bullheaded, feels super fuckin bad about what happened, tries not to cuss in front of the kids but isn’t a very aware guy
Stan = Grunkle 2, immediately falls in love with the kids, very creative, fighter, a bit scared of being emasculated tbh, nemesis with Bill, total sailor’s mouth
Bill = what if Bill’s the same except he’s a fucking square? You fucking square.
Waddles is a cute lil round goat that Dipper fell in love with and stole, and there’s also a big silly pig named Gompers around
The kids have a lot more fun toys from the start because Grunkle Ford isn’t gonna tell them about the portal, but if his kids want magnet guns, they’re gonna get magnet guns.
Stanley wrote the journals, they’re just accounts of the weird shit he’s run into over time in Gravity Falls. Ford is using #3 to try to derive scientific information about the anomalous nature of the place, but Stan is so Not A Scientist ™ that it’s hard. Mabel finds journal #1 and it’s full of hastily drawn pictures and warnings like, instead of a scientific name and approximate diagrams, it’s “what the fuck is this??” and “fuckin huge!” And Mabel is adding more scientific/helpful labels, Like the gnomes (all girls) are in there as “annoying little shits” “punt them” “if there’s too many to punt, hide.” To which Mabel adds “LEAF BLOWER - VERY EFFECTIVE” and “CAN STACK TO BECOME LARGE CREATURE”
Ford is too chaotic for a journal so he just has stacks of binders full of BS. And again, he doesn’t tell the kids about the lab downstairs or the portal or anything, but he’s 100% willing to give them stuff, and he’s become a chronic liar over time in order to run the mystery shack, signing legal papers and taxes as Stanley but having people call him Stanford.
Anyways, the portal incident happens as normal, and when Stan comes out of the portal he absolutely punches his brother, but the response is “Okay, I might deserve that, but so do you” “Fair enough.” And a reciprocal punch. “So does anyone else know about your secret lab situation?” “Oh, just… the entire US government?” “WHAT?!” And suddenly Stan is the doer and Ford takes a backseat like they did as kids, when Stan would make all the friends for them and beat up the bullies and Ford would do his homework.
The “Billpocalypse,” as Stan so aptly named it, occurs when Mabel starts getting a lot of attention from both Grunkles for being smart and creative and Dipper gets upset and runs off, then gets tricked on promise of being “smarter.” Stan, as always, stands up to Bill and has problems for it, and when the bubble around the town gets discovered, claims that he knows what’s causing it and how to destroy it, not wanting real-scientist Ford to get captured or anything. Dipland is full of candy and unicorns and everyone is equally smart, and Mabel breaks him out by explaining that her intelligence would be useless without his creativity, confidence, and enthusiasm, and the world needs him to save it. The Bill solution is the same, Stan has a metal plate implanted in his head and can’t let Bill in cause he’d discover that Stan was lying, so they swap and Ford gets his mind erased… for like a week, then he’s fine. Show ends with the grunkles going on the road trip of their dreams together in an RV they tricked out.

Now that I know what direction I want Chess Child to go, I'm setting up more angsty moments just because I can and because I know how it'll end. In, oh, probably another 10K. There's going to be so much Puzzleshiping pining, y'all. I will never imagine a Yugi 100% over Atem's death.

"You need more traps in that deck, Yugi."
"Mmm, probably," Yugi said, laying down Dark Magician.
Joey stiffened, and behind him Kaiba sat up straight.
"What? I've played Dark Magician before! You shouldn't be surprised."
"Yugi, you haven't played that card in years." Kaiba leaned forward, crowding into Joey's space, to tap the card. "I can also tell it's not your Dark Magician. That's a newer card."
Yugi wanted to yank the card back – it wasn't worth this much attention – but he knew Kaiba at least wouldn't let it go. Joey might, but Kaiba had a habit of latching onto Yugi's deeper thoughts and dragging them to the surface.
"Why's he in your new deck?" Kaiba pressed.
Yugi thinned his lips.
"How new is this deck?"
"Two days," Yugi ground out.
Kaiba reached over the table and plucked up Yugi's draw pile and graveyard.
"Hey!" Joey yelled, but he eagerly looked at the cards while Kaiba pawed through the deck. "Yug, there's a lot of stuff in here you haven't played in years. Gaia, and both Dark Magicians, and Magnet warriors."
"It's not a new deck," Kaiba said, tossing the cards on the table. The duel was done, anyway. "It's a mash of two old ones. What you played at Duelist Kingdom and Battle City. But some of the cards are new. Why."

Ideas for Mythomagic
This game uses cards, dice (d6), figures, and counters. The cards and counters are magnetic, to stop things from sliding everywhere.
Counters
These keep a track of health, for both monsters and gods ("characters"). And a second set tracks attack points (this is kind of like "mana" in other games. Or spell slots in D&D).
Counters have two sides, each a different colour. Players choose a colour for the game - so everyone knows who's pieces belong to who. There are many colour options (because people like to buy them to match their deck's theme).
Counters are placed on character cards. Every card has a set amount of health, which can be healed or even added to with certain moves.
Cards
There are four kinds of cards: character, terrain, trap, item. At the beginning of the game you draw seven cards from your deck.
Terrain cards
At the beginning of the game, players roll a dice. The person with the highest roll places the first terrain card. If they don't have a terrain card in their hand, they can draw from their deck until they pick one up. That is then placed down.
In a circle, the other players add a terrain card around the first card until everyone has placed their terrain cards (or chooses to skip). Then they draw from their deck again until they have seven cards.

Each terrain card applies different effects on characters that are placed there. For example:
Mountains: half movement for all characters, excluding satyrs and those with a flying speed. Underworld: characters must end their movement on this tile, regardless of their remaining movement. They cannot move again until the next round. This excludes undead.
Certain characters need specific terrain to be placed down. For example:
Trojan Sea Monster: can only be summoned in water (but may move onto land)
Character cards
These can be monsters or summoned gods. They are placed on terrain cards. If there is already a monster on the terrain, the new monster must fight it.
Character cards have various stats including: health, movement, knowledge, and special attacks.
Trap cards
These are placed facedown, on an unoccupied terrain card. Each trap card has a knowledge score, if a monster or group of monsters exceed that score, the card is turned over. If a monster walks into the trap, the card is turned over - and its effects are deployed. A trap card might have an area of effect, hitting characters on surrounding terrain cards. If a monster defeats that card it disappears.
Item Cards
These allow you to various actions before discarding the card (it is not placed down):
remove traps (must have been revealed)
restore health
restore attack points
Playing with Gods
Gods come in two forms: card and figurine.
A god card means you can summon a figurine (of the god represented). Usually a specific criteria must be met to summon a figurine - such as having "three connected underworld terrain cards" to summon Hades. The card is removed from play and the figurine is placed on the card instead.
The figurine is the player's primary piece. The faster it is put on the board the better. The figures don't do much themselves. They can move and attack other figurines (think of them like kings in chess).

Hades:
--- Attack Power 4000 (if attacked first, 5000)
Apollo:
--- Defense Power 2000
Athena:
--- Attack Power 3000
Manticore:
--- Attack Power 3000
* as mentioned earlier, some powerful monsters were also made into figurines and work the same way as gods.
These are big numbers and often gods will cancel each other out, especially when the god is deep within their own territory (defended by monsters and traps etc.). To defeat a god, one must use other characters like monsters to weaken them.
Once a figure is on the board, players can deploy the god's character card in the game. This is effectively the god's avatar. A player can only have one god card in play at any one time.
Examples of what these character stats look like:
Dionysus: attack points 500
--- Attack: bloody vines, +3 to hit, damage 300; cost: 100 attack points
--- Armor: 8
--- Dodge: +4
--- Special: madness, all allied trap cards now do double damage.
Other gods:
Ares: --- special: blood rage, this character has infinite health for 3 rounds [great for players who want to rush in]
Apollo: --- special: all allied characters +30 health [great when you have lots of minion monsters]
Athena: --- special: +100 knowledge to all allied characters [great for revealing traps]
Zeus: --- Attack: lightning bolt, damage 600
Manticore: --- special, all allied characters +5 to saving throws [great for rampaging through traps]
Combat
Characters can perform special attacks, either direct or area of effect.
When a monster moves into a terrain with another monster on the other team, they will fight. Each player announces the attack they are going to make. For example:
"Zeus is going to use Lightning Bolt against your Manticore"
*rolls dice* - "Four plus six... ten to hit"
"Hits"
"Lighting Bolt does 600 damage."
"Yeah, my manticore only had 100 health left, it's dead"
Area of Effect attacks (or traps). In this case characters will need to make a saving throw.
"Whirlpool activates, you need to roll above eight"
*rolls dice* - "Two plus two, and a five bonus from my manticore, total is nine. I take no damage. The Whirlpool is cleared"
"Damnit."
Between Divine Figures
Figurines have five lives. They have attack and defense power.
For example, let's say Apollo has Attack Power of 4000, and defense power of 2000. He is attacking Hades, who's defense is 2000 + special items, which brings is total to 5000 DP.
Apollo does 4000 attack, but the remaining 1000 must be made up by characters on the field. If their attacks stack enough during a turn, they take one life.
Hades then has time to gather his army or move into more favourable terrain. For example, he gets a 1000 DP boost if he's placed on an Underworld terrain card.
Taking a Turn
Players can do three actions on their turn. Actions include:
placing a card down (character, trap, terrain)
moving a character (including any combat)
moving a figurine
using a restoration card (to restore health or attack points)
Multiple Players
You can do a "free for all". Or team up with each other (such as two vs two). The game works best with 2-4 players, more than that it can get a bit difficult to track. Six players is the absolute max. Usually this will be a three vs three, where players are mostly focused on the person in front of them but they can help their allies if necessary.
Box Sets & Expansions
In terms of how they are sold I imagine the base packs are focused on a particular god. And come with all the basics.
Such as: Poseidon Pack.
Figurine of Poseidon.
Several terrain tiles (mostly sea terrain).
Trap cards (such as "Whirlpool" and "Earthquake").
Item cards (such as "Trident" which restores attack points)
Character cards (Poseidon himself, Trojan Sea Monster, Cyclops etc.)
Counters (blue & green sides)
Expansions would add more terrain, more monsters, more items and allow for a more flexible set up and play style.
Note: I'm not a game designer or anything. I can guarantee this does not hold up in any kind of real play. This is more for writing fics - for example, if Nico was going to explain Mythomagic to Will.

My dad taught me how to play chess when I was a kid—like probably in the 6-7 range
He never let me win just because I was a kid, because he said then when I won when I was older, it wouldn’t feel like a victory
I don’t know if that’s a good tactic or a bad tactic, but I ended up doing the same thing with The Teenager
Taught him when he was young, never let him win just ‘cause
Fast forward to tonight, I come home rom work, and he’s immediately like, “Look what Uncle [Bubba] gave me!”
I don’t know when my brother dropped it off, but it was a very cute mini wooden chess set with magnetic pieces

A few hours later, right before my bedtime, he brings it into my room and says, “Wanna play?”
An hour later, he won the game. It’s not the first time he’s won—the first time, he was probably fourteen, and I’d underestimated my opponent—but it’s the first time where it really felt like a battle.
So kudos to him, the student has surpassed the teacher
