After Jack fell from his horse in fading Moonwood Mill, he found himself in another realm - at the remnants of a broken bridge - alone...

What a strange place.

Jack walked away from the broken bridge to find Kiyoshi - or at least another way back. And then Lunatic found him... Lunatic, of all creatures... Jack: "Go away! You already caused me enough trouble!"

But Lunatic trailed after Jack and Little Goat joined them. They reached a homely abode where an old man yelled at the weeds and the bugs that are threatening his garden...

Jack: "Good day! I lost my way. Can you tell me how to get out of here?" Old man: "Sure, after you helped me with the garden."

And so Jack and Little Goat got to work.

Old man: "You're a good boy. Thank you." And in the background the garden is already overgrowing with weeds again. Just like the hassles in life. If you move one out of the way, three others are already waiting in line to bother you...

Old man: "You must be hungry after working so hard. But unfortunately I have nothing to offer. My garden, you know." Jack: "Don't worry. We could eat the horse?"

Old man: "Hm that would be a waste. But thank you for your generous offering! I'm not that hungry anyway. What about eating the goat instead?" Jack: "What? Are you crazy? No one lays hands on my sweet Little Goat!" And that was when Kiyoshi found them!

Kiyoshi bowed deeply: "Master Kōjin! Don't kill him. He wasn't aware of who you are." (Kōjin is the deity Kiyoshi and Dtui serve after he rescued them from their execution. Kōjin is the Japanese kami (god) of fire, the hearth and the kitchen. He is literally the god of the stove. He represents violent forces that are turned toward the betterment of humankind. And he is also considered a deity of uncertain temper.)

Kiyoshi: "Gods Jack..." Jack: "I didn't mean to yell at him. I was frightened and tired - and hungry..."

Kōjin: "Boys - don't worry."

Kiyoshi: "Don't worry? What does that mean? You are not going to kill him?"

Kōjin laughed: "I mean: don't worry. Like, don't worry. It will all be well in the end. We are watching over you."

Kōjin: "Now go. I paved a path for you."

Kiyoshi: "Close your eyes. Don't you dare open them again until I tell you so. No matter what happens." Jack: "Ok. I won't open them again until you tell me so. I promise."

omg Jack...

TMI: Kōjin was played by Kesuke, who also played Albert, the servant of DEATH and the guide of Jack when he was in his coma (and a few other roles ^^')

Оказавшись в Волшебном мире и дойдя аж до самой Аллеи Заклинателей, Холли поняла, что не найдет здесь ответа ни на один из своих вопросов.

Местные жители не горели желанием раскрывать перед гостьей свои волшебные тайны. Они вели себя подчеркнуто обычно — визжали при виде знаменитой персоны и наперебой просили дать автограф. Маскировка 80-го уровня, что тут скажешь.

Растерянность Холли сменилась озлоблением и страхом.

В сердцах она подумала о том, что вся эта магия — одно сплошное надувательство, щедро пересыпанное городскими легендами. Гораздо лучше было бы плюнуть на все и улететь на Комореби — кататься на сноуборде, дышать свежим воздухом и фотографировать снежные просторы...

March 4- Part 2

In a blink of an eye, the warlock and the medium were transported to the magic realm. There was a brief flash of sparkly light followed by skin tingles. That’s all Jillian noticed different.

“I changed our clothes.” Dakota states like he’s simply telling her about the weather, which he ends up doing. “It’s always nice here and warm. Outside of the mystical clouds that is.”

Once inside the impressive school building that stands in the dead center of the realm, Dakota shows Jillian some of his magic. She can’t help but thinks he’s kind of beautiful standing over the cauldron with it nearly dark and the fire from his wand illuminating his face. She stands there watching him – not his magic feats- for at least a half hour, before he takes her to a place he knows she’ll want to see.

The gasp that came from Jillian’s lips upon seeing the library was almost non human. She carefully ran her fingers over the spines of the books, before looking at Dakota for permission to take one out. He nods his head before he hears a familiar voice calling to him.

Dakota steps out into the hallway to chat with one of his former teachers, Morgyn Ember. Even though Dakota was mostly under Simeon Silversweater’s magical wings during his time at the school. Morgyn still taught Dakota a few things.

Jillian for her part happily reads a book on the history of the magic realm until Dakota tells her he’s been asked to help out with a class. He escorts her to the commons area where a few of his former classmates are having a debate on broom types.

“I still say the more natural the broom, the better.” says the blonde warlock by the name of John MacDuff.

“For beginners yes, but I’m a fan of the metal in the broom galaxy s 10.” counters the other warlock by the name of Willie Swain. “And the gadgets.”

Jillian sits there, not sure what to say. “Maybe the broom fit depends on the spellcaster. Just like a certain type of magic fits each one of you better than others?” Jillian suggests.

Both of the warlocks pause and nod their head in agreement but before either of them can say anything, another voice cuts in. “How nice. They’re letting anyone in these days.” James deadpans from the doorway.

“Hello James.” Jillian greets him politely. Like him or not, which she does not, technically he has more right to be in the realm than she does.

James ignores her for the most part, it seems, before looking at the other two. “John. Willie.” He greets. The both of them nod at him but say nothing. Jillian gets the feeling that they don’t care for James either and she’s thankful neither of them have taken off to leave her alone with him.

“How did you manage to find your way here, Jillian? I know you’re beloved crystal ball can’t transport you here…” James trails off in thought.

Dakota seems to appear out of thin air, as if sensing something is going on. “I invited her.”

James scoffs but doesn’t say anything nasty. “See you around, Dakota.” He comments before making his exit. Dakota finds it odd that James seems to treat him differently. They had even engaged in a somewhat friendly duel. He feels like James wants him for something.

“I need to make a trip to Casters Alley.” Dakota tells the group but his gaze is on Jillian. She stands and agrees to join him.

Casters alley reminds Jillian of something out of the Henry Puffer books. While there, Dakota purchases a familiar he names Poe. The name makes Jillian immediately want to read The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe. She thinks the name suits the magical creature that seems to follow Dakota everywhere. He decides to browse the other shops while the wheels in Jillian head starts turning.

What better place to make one more attempt to find out what is going on with Dakota’s Father? She remembered the spirit that told her that Thaddeus isn’t on the other side. She decided to try to contact them again.

Everything was going well, Jillian felt a warm and kind motherly presence. She was close to asking her if she knows what happened to Thaddeus. She feels the spirit, whoever she is, is tied to the situation.

Dakota was going to let Jillian go about her business until he noticed the welts starting to appear all over her skin. Dakota used his wand to put out the green flames of the circle, cutting off Jillian’s connection to the the spirit.

Jillian manages to stand, but her knees feel weak.”Why’d you do that? I was close to getting her to speak to me.” She asks, confused.

“Jillian. Look at your skin.” Dakota says with concern. He had never seen this happen to a medium before, it was almost like someone was causing this.

Jillian looks at her arms and gasps. “I don’t understand. If anything, I should have gotten help from the natural magic elements here.”

Dakota doesn’t understand it himself, outside of his gut telling him someone caused this. He has an idea who. He carefully takes Jillian’s hand and leads her towards one of the stalls to purchase a healing potion. It will get rid of the welts but it doesn’t solve what went wrong.

Years have passed in Kōjin's realm. And Kiyoshi became one with the tree. Kiri, Kumo and Little Goat stayed with him during all this time and watched over him.

Kōjin sent Dtui to wake Kiyoshi. He has a task for him.

Kiri: 'Is there no way we can help him?' Dtui: "Change is a door that can only be opened from the inside."

Dtui: "Kiyoshi. Stand up."

Dtui: "Kōjin sends you back for one day. To watch and listen. No more." Kiyoshi: "I still have no control over my demon. How am I supposed to roam the mundane world as a demon?" Dtui: "The gates will open soon and the barriers are thin. You may wander unbothered."

Dtui: "Summon your familiar. He will accompany..."

"... and guide you."

Dtui: "And Kiri too."

Dtui: "You have one day. Seize the opportunity - to learn. Make sure to leave in time. One day - and no longer."

Kumo: 'Will we accompany him too? I miss the others.' Little Goat: 'Me too. But maybe - take a bath first...'
