Ebe: My name is Ebenezer Schuster. The Spellcasters next to me are Morgyn Ember and L. Faba. You are now in the Realm of Magic, in the presence of the three Sages to be put on trial for Faustian bargain.

Alika: Mo-Morgyn?! I didn’t recognize you at all. What’s the meaning of all this?! I didn’t do anything with any Faust guy!! I swear- please we’re friends. Help me out of this.

Faba: Look kid, we have nothing against you directly. But the way your magic exploded… It can be explained only by a trade with a demonic entity. We don’t intervene for mundane trades, but we must eradicate Faustian spellcasters since they are made to haunt and harm our people. Ebe: The last time I witnessed one was in … 1890. She ate ten spellcasters before the Order captured her.

Morgyn: Put down the act! Your magic exploded in the blink of an eye during a full moon. Just tell us what you trade, and I’ll try to intercede with the Council to at least spare your life. Given the situation, this is the only gesture of kindness I can offer you. Faba (whispering): Shouldn’t he be more concerned about the existence ofa magic realm? Ebe (whispering): Kids these days are hard to impress.

Alika: So you’re accusing me of some big ass crime out of thin air? You have no idea how I got any magic! Do I have the right to some kind of wizard lawyer, or the trial is just a formality before sending me right the stocks?

Ebe: *Unintelligible whispers* Morgyn: Mh- It could easly do the trick.

Morgyn: You're in luck, we currently have something much, much better than a lawyer- Alika: Oof, you’re such a show off-

Morgyn: There’s a powerful soothsayer in the Realm. He will see what precisely happened during the last full moon. If what you say is true, we’ll drop everything. I hope you’re not playing games. I don’t want to lose another friend.

Alika: Losing? You’re so pessimistic, love. When this buffoonery of trial comes to an end be sure to buy me a drink. Now let’s see this soothsayer, and let’s set this thing for good.

L.: When Morgyn informed me that you and your little pet were invited to dinner, I wasn't quite sure how to appease the palates of those with... simpler backgrounds, such as yourselves. Morgyn: L. can conjure up a delightful roasted duck, so I suggested that. L.: [Rolls eyes] Let's hope it meets your standards, your highness...

Simeon: Disregard her snark. L. wouldn't admit it, but she'll never pass up the opportunity to host festivities for guests. The three of us usually gather for these dinners weekly, and it's not often we invite others to join. I think she's secretly over the moon about having you two here tonight.

L: Oh please. Must we, with the theatrics, Simeon? These two wouldn't exactly be my pick of the litter, under normal circumstances, but with all things carefully considered, this is a unique spectacle I couldn't dream of missing. [Mischievous grin]

Coraleye: [Teasingly] Well, I love you too, L. Thanks again for having us. Tonight has been so lovely. This whole trip has so far. I'm having so much fun showing Tycho our little world of magic! Coraleye beams over at Tycho, and he reciprocates her smile as he takes a sip of nectar and nods in agreement, places the glass down in front of him, focusing carefully on not knocking anything over.

Morgyn: The experience of seeing the Realm once again from the eyes of a newcomer, well it's... Coraleye tenderly traces her hand up the length of Tycho's leg and gazes piercingly into Morgyn's eyes. Coraleye: ...Exhilarating, no? Morgyn: It's... unforgettable.

Simeon: [Clears throat] —Speaking of newcomers, Ms. Darling, we haven't had the chance to tell you how delighted we are to have so many new Darlings earning their rite back. L.: Because the Realm wasn't crawling with enough of them as it was...

Simeon: It's encouraging to see the older generation embracing their magic again. About time Kirsten came around.

Coraleye: [Smiles proudly] Yeah, she's... warming up to it. The new ways are a lot different than what she's used to, but she's getting there. Right, Tyke? Tycho: I'd say so. I've definitely caught her practicing a lot more lately. I know she has her reservations, but she's clearly in her element now that she's spellcasting again. And honestly, that's how it should be. The Darlings and magic go hand in hand. Morgyn: Indeed. Not only is your grandmother an incredibly skilled spellcaster, Coraleye, but an adept medium. It's rather impressive. It seems every encounter I have with her, she never misses an opportunity to boast about you following her path. Coraleye: [Coy smile] Yes. but I haven't really practiced in a while, so I may not be very in-touch with that skill at the moment.

Tycho: And for good reason. Your prior attempts to communicate with the dead haven't exactly been a trip to the beach.

Morgyn exhaled sharply and their face became flushed. Morgyn: Well, they certainly weren't all bad, once she got the hang of it. Tycho: That's not how I remember it. Morgyn: Well, I digress. Morgyn shifts forward with a slight intensity, preparing to delve into a matter of great importance. Morgyn: Coraleye, I'm certain your natural abilities are just keen as ever before... but I may just have a proposition for that may help you regain that sense once more, if you're feeling up for the challenge, of course. Coraleye: Hm? What is it? Morgyn: There are a few matters I'd like to discuss with my mother.

Coraleye: Mama Rosemary? Morgyn: Indeed. And I couldn't think of a more divine being to conduct a séance for her. She was always so fond of you. First and foremost, I recognize that these activities may be overwhelming for you. Your comfort is my utmost concern, so you can absolutely decline or back out at any point. And of course your guest is welcome to join us, but aside from that, it would be just us. What are your thoughts?

Potential valedictorian and all round precious bean, Jacob Volkov.

With Cassandra Goth's last name, she had to make her way into this save somehow. Featuring newborn vampire Brandy Wood, the other potential valedictorian. Will this rivalry kick off the second great Occult war? Likely not as Jacob is a pacifist and Brandy has the GOOD trait, but it's funny to imagine.

Lux Demarco finding someone far too ancient to realise that all her CRINGE memes are in fact cringe! Surprisingly they actually overcame the Vampire/Werewolf negative dynamic super fast and are promising to be my favourite unexpected friend(ish)ship in this save.

Just Ken, aka Anthony Wood, getting some unexpected screentime. Featuring Jeb Harris's hand.

Lou Howell wondering why he and the current ghost, future werewolf who he bit (look, he really didn't think it would actually work) can't just get along.

And finally two who have yet to be featured - Grace Anansi and L. Faba! I won't actually be playing L. Faba since I don't want her to lose her Sage npc status and also in comparison to the Friends With Fangs, Spellcasters just aren't as exciting...

L. Faba - a peculiar name, but it might not even be her real one. She effortlessly commands the attention anywhere she goes with her unique appearance and blithe demeanor, and she loves to exasperate her fellow sages. However, very little is actually known about the sage of mischief's origins, and it seems like that's exactly how she likes it. Don't let her catch you speculating about her in-between classes: she won't think twice about cursing students or setting their backpacks aflame.

Diversity win: the Sage of Mischief (and the meanest person you've ever met) is a lesbian! Also, I Just want to state for the record that I do get the joke about her name... I just reject it as her "real" name, otherwise I could not take her seriously. I hope you guys enjoy this lookbook! I said this earlier in the week, but it is one of my favorites I've ever done. 💜
