I made another mod too; self-preservation for the poor vampires!

This one has actually been up on curseforge for a little while now, I just kinda forgot about posting about it lol.

What this mod does is to fix the issue of vampires not doing anything to save themselves when they're burning in the sun. It turned out that the tunings for the vampires didn't have any coded responses to the sun buffs or timer beyond playing some annoyed idles.

So, I managed to copy the "run inside" interaction from Seasons that sims do when it thunders or rains and edited it and made it get pushed on vampire sims being burned by the sun.

I've even added some little reaction animations and buffs before, during and after for a little extra flavor, and these will differ depending on how badly burnt/close to death the vampire is, as well as on if they have any of the sun-related perks or weaknesses. For example, a vampire who's weak to the sun, or who got a bit too close to death, might hiss a little extra and get a little panicked while running, while one who's got some sun protection might only get annoyed.

In addition, if the interaction gets cancelled, the vampire sim will keep trying to run inside periodically if they're still burning. Vampires with the full sun protection perk or in the shade (such as holding an umbrella) will not run inside. If the vampire has any of the teleport powers, and has this enabled, they'll use that instead of running.

If Seasons is installed, they'll also hold their arms above their head while running (using the same animation as the original "run inside" animation). If you don't have seasons, they'll run normally.

Vampire EA Poses

This is what happens when I get hyperfixated on something incredibly dumb instead of the 5000 more useful things I should've been doing: I wanted one pose from a Vampires GP animation, because I liked the way it looked on my Sim in game and I wanted it handy for easy access; so naturally what we have are 24 poses taken from animations plus child conversions too.

Child poses and adult poses are in separate packs.

I haven't made any adjustments to these except to fix things like janky wrists etc. No TOU obviously because they're not my creation! Use 'em as bases if you like, do whatever, find some use for them please. I have no idea why I spent hours doing this honestly, but I'm glad that it's out of my system now. 🤣

... I was not the smartest vampire 😩 I had an idea to create Beckett in Sims for a long time and even somehow did it, but then completely forgot about him.

Here he is

The only must have is Vampires and Werewolves (for the coat) GPs. I don't remember from which pack hair is from, but you can replace it with any other you like.

Note:

In order for the sim to look the same as in the screenshots, you need to install all the sliders and presets, listed in the archive. However, if the smallest details are not important to you, you can download only what you think is necessary (for example, only genetics).

I created this sim a long time ago and only when adding mods did I notice that I used a female skin tone. So yeh, if you going to undress Beckett for whatever reason, either replace it with any other skin or simply remove it.

For his 'dark side' I recommend you to get Werewolf costume by Natalia-Auditore to recreate Gangrel's vampire form.
