Huge news everyone I have noticed TWO new Ray guitars tonight: a white strat and a red SG
#i think he may have used the SG a couple other times so far but it hasnt been on my list#as soon as tour is over im genuinely considering going through every concert and compiling a full list of frank and rays guitars#i started one a while ago but they both keep adding more#he should bring out the explorer i havent seen her on stage yet :'(#he used one back in danger days and it looks GOOD on him#i mean sunburst LPs will always be Rays Guitar. but the explorer and ES look so good on him theyre a close second#weird to see him with a strat but im a strat hater so thats not a surprise#also its all white 🤢 my single least favourite guitar im SORRY at least franks is all black

randomly caught this headline and surprise surprise, it’s a copy and paste job from an old interview. but now i’m curious.
has anyone run into the original 1994 Reverb interview?
According to Reverb, during a 1994 interview with guitar writer Tony Bacon, Paul shared which Elvis song made him burst into tears as an adult.
Reflecting back on The King’s 1950s Sun Studio records, Macca said: “Yeah. I heard them this summer – haven’t heard them for years – and I was blown away. I suddenly realised the last time I listened to this thoroughly was before The Beatles, before all that happened to me, and it just stripped it all away. It was like I was a kid playing snooker again and listening. It actually got me crying, pow. Really did it to me.”
The Elvis song that reduced Paul to tears was I Want You, I Need You, I Love You. The Beatles star said he could remember all the words, singing the lyrics: “Hold me close, hold me tight…”
The now 80-year-old shared: “And my kids were like, Dad, you know all the words to this stuff? You better believe it. And I thought, ‘Well, I once was a kid like this, before all The Beatles thing, and now you live with the whole legacy of The Beatles, and it’s great. You could do a lot worse.’ But you know what I mean? i Just the idea of that was fantastic—I was 17 again. Not a bad feeling when you’re 52. Anyway, what do you want to talk about? I’m nattering on here.”

Okay, so my two favourite artists would probably be Linkin Park and BTS, for very similar close-to-my-heart reasons. And since they are WILDLY different sound-wise, I will give you two different fruit salads hehehe
First, the fruits!
Orange 🍊 -> obvious choice, zesty and sweet, brings everyone together with its juice; a refreshing favourite
Apple 🍎 -> solid, classic, reliable ; probably an oldie throwback
Mango 🥭 -> smooth, sexy lady with a groove; perhaps slightly unexpected
Strawberry 🍓 -> tangy, slightly acidic; a bittersweet one
Grapes 🍇 -> underrated bops bursting with flavour once you give them a try; a fun one
Melon 🍈 -> my favourite fruit so my personal favourite
Now for the salads:
Linkin Park Fruit Salad:
🍊 In The End - the song that gets everyone turned up, she's the mainstream queen for a reason!!
🍎 Numb - had to get this one here as well because, really, you can't leave it out
🥭 Lost In The Echo - Living Things is a very important album to me (and my second favourite from them), and I do NOT see enough conversation about it. Lost In The Echo is a fenomenal song, and probably one of my favourite Chester x Mike moments
🍓 The Messenger - just typing the name of this song got the water fountains going. "When life leaves us blind, love keeps us kind" is a lyric that I will carry with me until the day I die
🍇 In Between - for the sake of "underrated" I purposely chose something from after the first 2 albums. In Between is criminally underrated imo, which is a shame since it's such a sweet song sung by Mike (which is rare since he hardly ever gets a solo song). Bonus underrated AND fun - When They Come For Me
🍈 Breaking The Habit - I could go on and on about why I love this song so so much, but I don't want to get sad. 13 yo me made it this far thanks to her 💙
BTS Fruit Salad:
🍊 Fire - THE hype song ever, it's physically impossible to be sad listening to her, helloooo 🔥 🔥
🍎 Spring Day - the fan favourite, of course I had to get her in here. Queen of the charts
🥭 Autumn Leaves & Home - this is my salad so I'll put extra mango if I want. Both of these are SO sexy in their own way, and since they're pretty far apart it'd only be fair to get them both in here
🍓 We Are Bulletproof : The Eternal - at first I thought about either 2! 3! or Young Forever, but We Are Bulletproof holds such a special, heavy meaning, considering the time it was released, and the overall theme of the album. I can't really listen to it without getting all choked up 🥺
🍇 Hip-Hop Lover & We On - putting 2 songs again because I can. These are VERY old BTS songs, and still remain some of my favourites. It's a shame so many newer fans outright refuse to listen to their older, not-so-polished stuff, cus it's fantastic really
🍈 Run - my mostest absolute Bangtan favourite, she's beauty, she's grace, she's so fun and devastating and aaaaaaa. AMAZING era that was, superior mv, just overall wowowowow

my interpretation of Karras’ hands. On the ingame model his palms are flesh, but they also have nails on them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ so i hc that all fingers and a part of his right hand are completely gone, destroyed by the unrefined rust gas. Mechanical fingers connect to flesh the same way Garrett’s mechanical eye connects to his socket, whatever the technology behind that is.
The rest of Karras’ body is covered in similar burns, chunks of flesh missing here and there, with metal patches implanted in some most damaged places. The exoskeleton serves both as a support for Karras’ back, as well as a storage for the fuel supply for mechanical bits - it’s the same liquid that Garrett uses to fill his prosthetic in one of cutscenes.
Karras probably wouldn’t die if his exoskeleton was removed, but would be in a lot of pain and unable to use his hands. The helmet covers small scars on Karras’ head, but otherwise is 100% decorative.

Fanny, my sweet, beautiful girl

#my art#artists on tumblr#I cannot accept that it has been 5 years already#I know covid messed with everyone’s sense of time but it simultaneously feels so much longer and so much shorter than that#exactly five years ago I was holding onto my mom for dear life and sobbing as we watched lilo and stitch together#not the best movie to watch when you’ve just lost your first ever pet you know#and then I cried myself to sleep at the next morning we never mentioned her again#I know it’s because it was way too painful for everyone involved. but I do wish I was allowed to process that grief properly#instead of bottling it up and pretending everything was okay until I was reminded of her#feeling like my heart was being shattered over and over again every single time#well anyway. enough of that. I’ve allowed myself a nice long cry today and got most of it out of my system#and once I was feeling okay I decided to draw her#and I can count the number of times I’ve drawn animals on one hand so.. I’m not too sure about the result#but it felt like to commemorate her in some way.#so yeah. here she is. my dear girl. the best dog in existence. she was always so affectionate and kind#which I didn’t always appreciate bc of how young I was. when you’re a kid it feels like pets will live forever#never barked. never bit anyone. her only crime was chewing on my mlp and lps toys that I left out on the floor#but I’m grateful she did that. it taught me not to leave my toys lying around and to clean up after myself#she really was taken from me way too soon. ideally she could still be alive right now. but I’ve been down the road of guilt and regret#there was nothing I could do. I was a child. I can only hope that she knew she was loved right until the very end#even if I didn’t know how to show it properly. and great. now I’m tearing up again#I suppose it’s unavoidable. April 12th will always be a melancholy day. and maybe that’s not such a bad thing#it’s good to have a day when I can freely remember her and cry if I need to. it’s healthy. it’s better than crying every day#she never liked it much when I cried. always tried to comfort me. that’s the kind of dog she was. I miss her so much#when I move apartments and get a dog of my own I’m getting a spaniel. just like she was#well. maybe a different colour so I don’t end up sobbing every time I look at it. but spaniels really are the perfect breed#I mean. cavaliers especially were bred for love and warmth. that’s just what I need. it will be nice to have someone waiting for me at home#and while I don’t necessarily believe in the afterlife… I do hope that Fanny’s watching over me#spiritually comforting me when I feel all alone in the world. it’s a nice thought for sure#and hopefully she won’t mind me getting another spaniel too much. it will be done in her honour after all. to make up for my past mistakes

i may or may not have just spent too much money on arctic monkeys albums under the guise of self care (again)
#i work next to a record shop and i have this little tradition where if i’ve had a rough day i’ll go in and treat myself to an album#only rn i’m so unwell that i haven’t been out of my flat properly in weeks#let alone as far as work or the record shop#so hmv’s online shop had to do#because i’m in need of some comfort music purchases#and for some reason my brain went ‘if you’re ordering online it’s cheaper’ so i wound up with three instead of one#so as of tomorrow i will be the proud owner of fwn and who the f*** are arctic monkeys and also the teddy picker single#why am i like this#i suppose i should at least be grateful i can’t afford a record player because cds are mercifully less expensive than lps#my bank account would probably disown me if i ever do get a record player and start getting lps#anyway#i’m rambling to no one#too much time being stuck inside appears to have made me even more prone to rambling in the tags than usual#which is saying something#i’ll see myself out and go and drink tea and listen to my pre-existing am albums#lulu posts
