Doing what you love is important. These two beautiful humans are shining examples of that and they bring me so much joy and inspiration! This is a shot from a show at @stonecat_cafe last night. It’s the lead singer of my favorite band @maddywalshandtheblindspots and my husband #BrettBeardslee. Brett opened for @maddmaddywalsh and the Blind Spots and they invited him on stage during their show to play some harmonica with them. They rocked. So hard. They made everyone’s worries go away. They made the rest of the world disappear. Nothing else mattered to everyone willing to let the music take them over. It’s magic. They’re magic. And ya know what - you are too. If you love something, do it. I can guarantee you we were not put on this planet to achieve goals and acquire things. If you don’t know what you’re here for in this life and you’re bold enough to want to discover it for yourself, follow your bliss, that’s where you’ll find it. I can’t say for certain exactly what Maddy and Brett’s purposes are, only they can, but I do know they’re feeding their souls when they’re doing what they love and expressing themselves and giving us permission to express ourselves. I want to be this for my kiddo. Lotus is 12 years old, 7th grade, and those tween years hit hard, man. But I also want to be this for everyone I care about. Friends, family, relationships. This man. 🙌🏼💖🙌🏼 I can’t even begin to tell you how much bullshit he has to put up with when I comes to being my husband #mcm - - Because of my condition and the accident I had 5 yrs ago I’m in constant pain that leads to fatigue and makes me have a short temper. I also hypermetabolize pain meds so I have to take more than usual so the side effects are magnified as well. The Different meds to try and help with the pain amplify that irritability so it’s a horrible snowball effect. - - I didn’t take this pic today, it was actually outside of the hot sauce festival that we didn’t end up going into yesterday, because once again, I was in too much pain and the heat really makes things get out of a manageable state quick. - - I was just going to post this with a cute caption and let everyone think things on the other side of my screen are all amazing but the truth is the only amazing constant in my life is my amazing husband. He really is a fucking saint. I don’t always share the “bad” days I have when it comes to my health and this recovery because I know that ppl don’t want to read that but I thought it was important not only for myself but for anyone seeing my page to know there are real struggles everyone is going through even if you don’t see it. - - The real test is seeing how you react to those challenges.
