To provide more content since I have been gone for most of this summer, I would like to present a little interesting correlation that I found could be used as fuel for any Zutara head canon:
So, you know me that I like to look at animation details and dialogue sometimes to where where I can find meaning in something or pick apart something for a newer view of the story. As I like to say: Death of the author is my muse.
With that in mind, I was watching a video from a youtuber that was talking about Legend of Korra - it is relevant to Zutara I promise. But they were talking about the moment where Aang and Zuko comes to the realization about Fire Bending and it's true origins and what it actually means to fire bend.
Why am I bringing this scene up?
Well, Aang talks about how he was afraid to fire bend again because he hurt Katara with it.
Yes I know it says heard, but it is hurt.
And he admit this to the head of the Sun Warriors... and Zuko.
Who, for at least my interpretation of the show, was deeply affected by what Katara was going to do for him in the catacombs. And how her words might have affected him deeper as he was in the Fire Nation. And now he is back and wants to make it up to her by helping Aang with learning how to fire bend properly. (Working head cannon that he definitely wanted to help her and win back some of her forgiveness a little).
So, given this new context of what Zuko, who is trying to regain her approval of him, might be feeling to this kid who shows interest in Katara. And yet he hurt her. The one that she trusts hurt her. And for all he know, she is still hurt somewhere (probably never knew about the scars or the burns on her hand).
But given this new context, it does make one wonder if Zuko went a little more above an beyond for Katara because of this new found information about the Avatar hurting one of his friends.
Especially with him being watchful of Katara, certainly jumping to her side when Aang is being just as stubborn in his views. And putting some distance between Aang and Katara at the play. So... I don't know about you all, but it does provide some interesting ideas.
Again, just some fun food for thought.

Absolutely adore how Marcille's entire spellbook seems to consist of only the most unhinged spells in existence.
