Percy Jackson character x male!reader (gods x reader) (platonic all)

╰･ﾟ✧☽ reader: like klaus from TUA. reader is a little oc in this, but i couldn’t help it. I needed this because I got a funny idea.

╰･ﾟ✧☽ warnings: short , me having little knowledge of what’s to come in the books, not canon just a silly idea

Camp got new campers every year so it wasn’t like they thought anything of you. The only thing is, you looked too confused to be there, everything Chiron said you would would give him the strangest look. Percy happened to be passing by, you got a tour of camp just like he did. And you were a bit to loud with your words- and let’s face it. He’s a little nosy.

“So you’re saying all the gods just drop their kids off here- or, don’t give them attention until they do something they deem worthy?” You ask like you had no care.

“Really a great idea. Half gods with daddy and mommy issues running around in the same place. Doesn’t sound dangerous at all.” You comment and continued walking with a eye roll.

Percy was interested in you right after that. You made him laugh and shared his views when he first came here, and he still thought them. He didn’t have to wait long to introduce himself since you left Hermes cabin in a rush to get away from people.

You didn’t want to talk to him at first. He tried to introduce himself but you brushed him off and said you weren’t willing to speak.

“I know it’s a lot to take in, but I’m sure you’re parent will claim you.”

You stopped in your tracks and turn around and started to flail your arms. “I am human! I have no godly parent, not like you-. Honestly I wish I was because I would be less concerned about my future.”

“That’s new.” A girl’s voice popped up from behind you and out of no where. A girl with a cap in her hands yanked down from her head, she looked intimidating to you.

“Can you all do that? Just appear out of no where?” You asked slightly scared but amazed.

“Let’s go back to the part where you’re human,” Percy stepped forward like you were a bomb of some sort ready to explode. “Why are you here?” You scuffed and shrugged your shoulders.

“So, i happened to eat a crystal I found in the woods behind my house. It was weird and it had me hypnotized, surprised I didn’t break any teeth, and the next minute I know I’m seeing the dead. And these voices are talking to me, then I’m moved off to this camp.”

“Wait the dead?”

“The gods say I need training before I came to them. Which is weird because you think they would train me themselves…do you guys know what I should do? I have no clue why they want me.” You look at both of them for help but Percy is just staring with his mouth open and shocked. Annabeth looks annoyed and looking you up and down.

“Don’t piss them off.” she was going to be great help.

Months go by and you grow closer to the trio. it was strange how you seemed to have more strength then a human, and could kept up in training with them. not once did you ever get claimed and it still surprised them to this day how you just become something out of the blue. They tried so hard to get their parents attention but you just- stumped upon something and had the gods interests?

yes, you were human. but no longer a human boy, but a god in training.

“did it have to be him? he’s more chaotic then your son Poseidon.” zues rubbed his temple as the gods watch down on you.

“fate is a funny thing brother.“

“I for one love the kid.” ares smirks as you trip percy and let out a vicious scream. nothing evil or mean behind it, just a adrenaline rush. but ares didn’t take it that why, you were going to be a monster.

“I’ll bless him soon, he should stay in my cabin.” Aphrodite smiles and played with her hair.

“We all know he’s basically my child, the dead thing? Yeah, he’ll be staying with me in the underworld when it’s time.” Hades smirks at all of them.

and just like that the gods are starting a war all over again.

Reader: stumbles upon a crystal

the voices: eat me!!

Reader: No!! Let me go!!

Reader then becomes a god.

s/o saw husband and have turn into mortified as their husband saw them in said outfit. husband outrage with aphrodite while zeus/loki used those as blackmailed.

in private husband said that s/o look cute in those outfit

A/N: This was an interesting request. Honestly, I can see all of this happening to them each, as I can see Aphrodite getting bored and yoinking their S/O just for something fun to happen. She’s definitely a teaser.

💀 Well this was quite odd, Zeus never really visited him down in Helheim, and while Hades protested at the start, Zeus didn’t take anything

💀 He was dragging him to Aphrodite’s newest opening ‘restaurant’ in Valhalla

💀 Hades was very loyal to his S/O, so going there felt like betraying their trust, and he did not like that

💀 But, Aphrodite had taken his S/O away earlier that day, and he couldn’t let them see them there possibly, but Zeus’ hold was surprisingly good

“ Now, older brother. You are to stay here, I will get something to drink. “

💀 He watched confused as his brother left him at the table, and as he looked at the nymphs walking around in very revealing outfits, he looked at the ground like Poseidon always did

“ Oh come on, Aphrodite! I am not going out there wearing this damn thing! “

💀 Your voice? Why were you here? And what was Aphrodite making you wear?

💀 Looking up from the marble floors, he saw a familiar big chested woman holding you in place, and you… oh my Helheim you were wearing a bunny outfit

💀 You tried hiding certain parts of your body from the other Gods in the facility, and Hades was one of the first people you had seen

“ Aphrodite. They’re changing and going home. Now. “

💀 Aphrodite smiled and giggled before allowing your embarrassed form to go back to change

💀 He cannot lie though, seeing you in that? Woo

“ No. “

🔱 He did not want to go in the slightest, but with how Zeus kept trying to blast him for being a buzzkill, he couldn’t take his whining anymore

🔱 Poseidon stood up and followed his younger brother as he walked through the fairly decent looking facility that Aphrodite had put together

“ Go ahead and sit. I’m gonna go get something at the bar, Hera can’t yell at me here! “

🔱 He sighed and sat down, opening the book he had grabbed from his study before leaving his and your palace

🔱 While reading, he could hear Zeus start speaking, or rather, flirting with another woman until the familiar slap sound echoed, making Poseidon smile for a second

🔱 But while that got him to react a bit, hearing you yelling at Aphrodite made him look up

“ I am not going out there in this, Aphrodite! Kiss your Christmas present goodbye! “ “ Oh come on, dearie~ I believe that someone out there will really like this~ “

🔱 Excuse me?

🔱 He stood up, summoned his trident and walked away, his book being sent back home to his desk as he strolled to the back of the building

“ I swear to you, Aphrodite! I will get Poseidon to end every connection with you if you make me walk out there with all of those lustful assholes! “

🔱 Poseidon saw you dressed in a bunny outfit and glared at Aphrodite, not making eye contact, but surely scaring her to the core

“ How about you change now? “ “ Thank the Gods. “

🔱 He’d rather you thank him but, it’ll do for now. And even he cannot deny, you looked fairly nice in the outfit…

🌩️ Loki does not give in easily, and Thor knew that, he grew up with the God

🌩️ He walked behind Loki as he rambled about how nice the place appeared, and he only answered questions with a quick glance

🌩️ He had sat with Loki as he ate moussaka while Thor only looked out the window at the passing birds and people

🌩️ The thing that caught him out of his appearing trance was Loki whistling and his comment

“ Isn’t that your S/O? Oh, Y/N! “

🌩️ Thor looked up and he froze like ice when he had seen you, you were wearing a beautifully wove bunny outfit and because of how revealing it was, you were trying to hide certain body parts

🌩️ His cheeks glowed slightly red as he told you to go with him to change, glaring slightly at Aphrodite as you walked past her, she only giggled as Thor wrapped his cloak around you, hiding your form from certain Gods

🌩️ Once you changed, he looked at you and patted your head, saying;

“ While I did not approve of Aphrodite putting you in that outfit without your consent, I will have you admit, you looked nice in it. “

🌩️ You laughed nervously as he wrapped his arms around your waist, sitting you on his lap as he laid his nose in your neck

“ And I will have to teach you what happens when you look that nice for others~ “

💪 His father wanted him to get out of the palace, to get out and about, have some fun!

💪 Ares and Hermes had decided to tag along, since he had nothing going on, and Zeus was happy to have both of his sons around, after all, now he can say he got drunk and hit on women for the environment

💪 A ‘guy’s night out’ as he said

💪 Heracles sat down and watched the other people walk around in outfits that were described by others, including his brothers, as ‘far to revealing’

💪 But, of course, their father liked it, how gross… damn old pervert

💪 He looked at Hermes as he called his name, and Ares’ face was frozen looking behind the demi-god

“ I believe you have a surprise behind you, it appears to me that- “ “ Y/N’s wearing a bunny outfit! “

💪 Ares’ interruption made Hermes glare at him and made Heracles snap his head behind him in shock

💪 It was true, you were wearing the ears, tail, outfit and all, and it made him get so flustered

“ Oh Heracles! I didn’t see you there, do tell, does Y/N look good or not? “ “ They- um… they look good… “

💪 Aphrodite chuckled and pat your head, saying you could change

💪 Well, this was going to be an interesting night, your husband was now very flustered, and he couldn’t stop imagining you in the outfit

💪 Help this poor boy!

(A/n; Hi! Thank you so much for the request! I’ve never really done headcannons, so I’m sorry if this isn’t that great…. Hope you like it!)

First of all, you met Percy when you were skating outside the library near his home. You were on your way to the library to check out some new books (for the third time that week) when you crashed directly into someone.

Percy was stunned as he was waiting for Annabeth to finish checking out her books when some girl that looked like she just robbed a hot topic store crashed her skateboard right into him (seriously? Can’t he catch a break?)

After you apologized profusely, you two began to talk. Percy thought you were pretty cool, and he told you that you reminded him of this short Italian kid he knew.

You soon said your goodbyes and you went inside, never to see each other again… or so you thought

When summer came you were brought to chb, and you felt so out of place, ESPECIALLY when you were claimed by Hades himself.

You were shocked to see Percy at camp. He immediately recognized you and you two started to catch up.

During your time at camp, you didn’t really make many friends, so Percy would talk to you and you both quickly became good friends.

Being at camp made you realize quite a few things. 1. The Athena kids are pretty cool (aka they let you set near them to read and since no one bothered them, no one bothered you.) 2. You LOVED sparing, and you were GREAT at it too! 3. The Stoll brothers looked hilarious when they got pushed into the lake (a view you got to see curtesy of one of the Aphrodite kids, something about putting slime in their leave-in conditioner)

Percy would sometimes spar with you, although you were loath to admit that you couldn’t win against him, although he was quick to offer tips to help you improve.

Percy might not have been much of a reader himself, but he is always happy to lend you an ear for you to rant about the book you’re reading.

All in all, Percy is a great friend and while he might not always be into what you are, he’s always ready to listen and show interest for your sake.

(I’m REALLY sorry, this is my first time doing headcannons so they’re not that good…. I hope this is at least what you were looking for!)

Oh boy, oh boy, do I have something for you. I really hope this is as good as the other requests I’ve given you, but can you imagine a Percy x Zagreus!reader?

The Reader is the child of Zagreus himself, who doesn’t have a good relationship with the Olympian queen. This means Hera is against his child as well and, despite being a goddess of marriage, tries to keep them away from their father as much as possible. But the Reader doesn’t care, they’ll fight their way to the Underworld no matter how long it might take.

So… how do you think Percy would react with this one? Think he’ll fall head over heels for their determined attitude? Join them in their runs? Patch them up while also scolding them if they come back terribly injured? You gotta tell me what you think.

Percy with a Child of Zagreus Reader

OOOOO😻😻 I can smell the bitterness of this reader coming from a mile away💀

I didn’t even know there was a game called Hades, Imma have to look a little into. I kinda mostly focused on reader for this one if I’m being honest

Being a child of Zagreus, Hera has put reader through HELL growing up

Like gods aren’t normally supposed to interfere with demigods and whatnot but since she has a bone to pick with the underworld god, you would never be on good terms with Hera

Zagreus would’ve wanted to raise you himself lowkey, probably if your mother died unexpectedly, and mostly to protect you from the wrath of the goddess

But this is Hera we’re talking about, she’s a very bitter and unfair goddess, so she’s willing to tear you both apart if it means seeing Zagreus continuously suffering

Reader is forced to grow up alone, running away from danger that seems to follow them at every corner and turn

The only thing you would have of your father is a pendant of his, and the distant memory of his face

Maybe he even gave you a blessing of protection and perseverance, something that would help you before you were taken away from him

I think Hera would have some curse placed on you and your father, something that keeps y’all from each other

Him trapped in the underworld and you forced to walk the world of the living, cursed to never find an entrance to the world below

Yeah you grow up very untrusting towards others because of Hera’s constant tricks

Most people you’ve met had always broken your trust and betrayed you in some way

So it’s no real shocker when you keep your distance when you first meet Percy

Percy had probably saved you from being eaten by a monster or even helped you run away from some situation that escalated badly

Whatever happened, he’s eager to talk to a new demigod!

It’s not everyday he meets a new halfblood outside of camp

And as nice and silly as he is, you can’t let yourself get close to him, after all this could just be another façade sent to distract you

So it surprises him when you walk past him without introducing yourself or thanking him

You kinda just look at him and move on with your life💀

And that’s what makes you so interesting to Percy! With the way you walk like you’re on a mission, since he has nothing better to do, he decides to join you!

And that’s how his journey with you begins

He fills the empty silence left by you with loud talking and ramblings, and somewhere along your journey, you actually begin to enjoy his company

One worded responses turn to small comments to actual conversations

You can’t help it honestly, you’ve been alone for so long that you crave the presence of another person

It’s a weakness that has led to so much heartbreak and betrayal in your past

But you allow yourself to indulge in Percy, allow yourself to believe he won’t turn against like the others had

Percy definitely notices how you don’t reveal much about yourself

You’re so closed off to a point where he basically only knows your name

And yet he can’t stop his heart from beating faster when you let a smile slip when he says something stupid

I think it would be during the dead of night where you finally reveal why you’ve been wandering around

Like y’all have been traveling together for a while and you ACTUALLY trust him

Percy is so sincere and doesn’t make false promises or comments

He’s an open book basically😭 you can tell he’s a genuine person, and from what you’ve heard about the demigod, he’s a good person

You dare say you might have even grown to like him😦

He honestly admires your perseverance and bravery, like you’ve been on your own for YEARS

Your determination to see your father again captivated him

He feels sorry for you too, you’ve been separated from the only family you know and with no way to get to him

He’s also lowkey scared of your lack of respect towards the powerful goddess

He’s learned to never make a god angry, but he guesses that doesn’t apply to your situation since the goddess had been after you the second you were born

Percy would totally mention how his friend, Annabeth, claims that Hera has a vendetta against her too

If this is after the first war with Kronos, I think you might even reveal how you fought along side him

Percy is shocked to hear that but not really surprised since you never had a good relationship with the Olympian

Kronos promised you that you would be able to see your father again, so you willingly joined his army

Like having this convo with you, it really makes Percy see how anyone can be influenced by the experiences they go through in their life

Percy really wants to help you so I think he might introduce you to Nico

“Nico might actually be able to help you get to the underworld! He’s the son of Hades, by the way.”

“Wait, are you serious? Hades has a son? Why didn’t you say anything sooner?!”

It takes time trying to contact the younger boy, but you still jump on Percy and hug him cuz AHH

You might actually be able to see your father!!!

And Percy is just as happy to see you smiling brightly as the younger boy makes his appearance

Hell you might even give him a small peck on the cheek as a thank you teehee (this dudes face would be REEEDDDD)

But danger finally strikes you all when Nico leads you to an entrance to the underworld

Monster quite literally spawn out of NOWHERE, mostly attacking you and keeping you away from the one place where people would stray far away from

You dodge any swipes and attacks aimed at you, inching closer to the entrance until you’re launched back

Battered and bruised, you get up only to be pulled away by Percy

He would try to explain that it was too dangerous to continue, that you all needed to fall back and come up with a plan!

“Percy let go of me! I’m so close, you can’t do this to me!”

“We need to get back now! Please! We won’t be able to beat them! They’ll kill you!”

It’s a complete surprise to him and Nico when you pull out a sword against him, it being half celestial bronze and steel

Nah cuz this would be a major breaking point for both of y’all, having such a dangerous weapon would cause Percy to question your morals😭💔

You would slowly back away from him, realizing that he didn’t betray your trust, but you betrayed his

You would separate from him as you fight your way to the underworld entrance, looking back once to him, heart breaking at the sight of his hurt expression

Your alone in the underworld now, and Percy can’t help but feel hurt that you would be so reckless and driven to this state

He would totally go in after you though despite Nico’s warnings

If Percy can find you before you run into any more trouble, then maybe your fate won’t end in tragedy

Zagreus!Reader is actually pretty reckless when it comes to being reunited with their father. It’s something that Percy admires and hates about them, since most of the time it leads them to getting hurt in the end

He just wants to help you in anyway he can, you just gotta let him help. Your untrusting nature might be the cause of your downfall if you don’t learn to trust others💔

(I love this reader tbh, so much potential when it comes to the underworld hehe)

as a long time fan of supergiant games and as someone who was obsessed with greek mythology as a child, i am EXTREMELY pumped about hades II. but also very curious about the new main character’s design. i feel like sgg (really, jen zee specifically) usually does a really good job of telegraphing their designs so that if you know the most basic things about a god, you can recognize them on site based on their design.

from the shape language to the posing to specific visual elements, they make sure that even at a quick glance the characters are not only distinct from one another, but have enough references to their domain and mythology that they are very recognizable.

i think demeter is one of my favorite indicators of this and one of my favorite hades designs over all. she’s not interpreted in the way a classic demeter is, and that’s part of what’s perfect. she’s been built at with little hints and references in other characters’ dialogue that paint her as critical, overbearing and not exactly trustworthy. and when you see her you’re like, “what, this is the goddess of the harvest?” with the absence of persephone and her casting the earth into famine, it makes sense that she doesn’t look bountiful, that her cornucopia (still the classic visual reference to demeter) is empty, her wheat frozen.

but melinoë is different. melinoë is a bringer of nightmares, a goddess of ghosts. her mingled heavenly and infernal heritage manifests in her primary physical trait: a body that is split down the middle, half white and half black. this is basically her most defining physical characteristic (the other being that she wears saffron, which is bougie as hell but not the point), but here is her design from the hades II trailer:

i see the saffron, see reference to her ghostly/undead connections, and there is an element of her half-and-half complexion with those black moon armor (maybe?) coverings on her right arm and leg. but when i first saw this design i thought she was an original creation (like zagreus*), not an existing god. i’m interested to see if this means they’ll be changing core parts of her mythology (and to see if that’s reflected in her design) and to see what direction she’s headed in but really this whole long post has just been building up to me saying

WHY DIDN’T THEY GIVE HER SPLIT DYE HAIR

PLEASE IT WOULD HAVE BEEN SO PERFECT

almost every visual interpretation of melinoë, even if they don’t split her body into white and black halves like a white and black cookie, gives her a split dye. and maybe they wanted to avoid what everyone else was doing, but i feel like melinoë is unknown enough that that isn’t really a big deal. idk. i just think it would be neat. that’s all.

(*yes i know there is a zagreus in greek canon that is the first iteration of dionysus and is the son of persephone and zeus but i feel like game zagreus resembles his mythological counterpart so little that he’s basically an original creation, and maybe they’re doing the same with melinoe! since she is also technically the child of zeus and persephone**)

(**depending on the canon it’s either zeus disguised as hades or zeus and hades are two aspects of the same being)

Thoughts about Hades 2 as a tech test player

Everything is under a read more bc. 1. Long post. 2. Spoilers for Hades 2.

1. The game is fucking s m o o t h. Loads quicker and everything feels more stream lined.

2. It’s somewhat harder than Hades 1. Idk if it’s bc of not having a super buffed character but I am definitely finding it a little more challenging. Not a bad thing though!

3. Melinoë plays a little different from Zag which is to be expected! We now have a sprint, spells, and new weapons. Already loving how regular casts and specials don’t have a cast limit. Also love the twin blades. Fast weapon go brrrrrrr.

4. I’m definitely interested in seeing what they do with gathering, farming, ect. Great way to add more stuff to do in and after runs.

5. This ties into 4 but, I love how there’s a bunch of stuff to do in Crossroads! In Hades 1, I never spent too much time in the house. I was always dashing through to do another run when not stopping to talk to people. The Crossroads is definitely a nice cool down area for after runs!

6. THE ART. Man everyone looks so good!!!! I can tell some of the sprites are still being worked on but everything still looks so damn clean. I love how everyone has backgrounds in their portraits!

7. APOLLO, HEPHAESTUS, HESTIA, SELENE. All of them look and sound so cool. Really looking forward to seeing their full boon lists and how they play with different weapons ect.

8. I’m really happy to see some of the OG gods returning. All of them look so sick and every time I see a boon from the first game I go “YOOOOOO”. Also Artemis physically appearing is sick as hell.

9. Really excited to get to know the new crew better! They’re all really compelling already!

10. The areas seem to be shorter. Like, I’m going through less rooms to hit the boss room. Idk if it’s bc it’s a tech test or if it’s intentional.

Speculation and questions

1. WHAT DID CHRONOS DO. ARE THEY DEAD? WHERE ARE THEY? Istg if Zag is dead I am going to c r y.

2. WHERE IS THAN, MEG, ACHILLES, NYX, EVERYONE FROM THE FIRST GAME? WHERE ARE THEY?

3. Hecate said something about Hermes trying to find a way to get from the underworld to Olympus. There was also some stairs going blocked by a ward in the weapon/training room. I wonder if there’s gonna be more areas to go through. Like. Erebus, Elysium, Asphodel, Tartarus, House, then Olympus? Maybe Olympus is gonna have its own areas completely. This would make sense for why the areas are shorter. Really interested to see what they do.

4. If the game looks like this already in its tech test stage….. this might be my game of the year if it gets a full release this year. (I love you P3RE but holy shit Hades 2).

There’s a lot more I could talk about, but I am tired and this is a long post lmao.

Record of Ragnarok Poseidon (relationship headcanons) 🔞

My first attempt in writing anything in… eternity. I’m not a native English speaker but trying to improve myself, sorry for all mistakes I've made. I didn’t write any major spoilers but used knowledge from manga. Also + still no clue how tumblr works.

Poseidon is such a adorable idiot.

SFW Not gonna lie, to catch his eye (not to mention eye-to-eye contact) there will be needed someone really specific. Someone similar to him in general, but unique in details. I think Poseidon is really good observant. Just because he’s indifferent to others, it doesn’t mean he doesn’t pay attention. He would notice nuances in behaviour, manners and gestures. His future s/o must be elegant, self-contained and pride. Maybe not in the haughty way but undoubtedly confident in her position as a goddess. Definitely not ‘damsel in distress’ type, she has to have guts to rule her sphere, protect her opinion and status. No other god or goddess shall stick their nose in her business. Unless they’re ready for harsh words or worse. In summary: a less extreme version of Poseidon. On the other hand, I don't think these qualities are enough to draw Poseidon's interest. It’s good base but potential s/o must get under his skin. Intentionally or no, she has to do or say something that would get his attention, and annoy him… He wasn't seeking her subtle chitchat, nor did he want to end up witnessing her fight! Congratulations, miss! You accidentally annoyed Tyrant of the Seas! Choose a burial place. Jokes aside, the best thing s/o can do here is ignore Poseidon. He thinks he wants that, but hey! Looks like he played himself. Now s/o annoys him even more and he cannot understand why. Such a useless bottom feeder and he can’t get over her?

She was like a sea: capricious and unpredictable in nature, always remained resistant to the expectations of others. But sea bend to his will like tamed puppy. He stamp his foot and it humbly part before him. That’s what he couldn’t stand - how little control he had over her, how unbearably free this woman was compared to other gods who ran away in terror as soon as he merely frowned.

Poseidon would catch himself thinking about her in the least expected moments. He used to almost never leave his realm, now suddenly is more present in social life. Still doesn’t care much, usually just staying in loneliness that nobody dare to disturb and observing from distant object of his contempt. As if nothing had changed, yet it did. Probably the only people that would notice he’s different will be Hermes and Hades. When first one won’t act on it nor share his observations, the eldest brother definitely won’t resist to make some ambiguous comments.

— Well that’s unusual of you, dear brother — said Hades. He toyed with his glass of wine, watching carefully Poseidon, who looked as unconcerned as ever. However he honoured him with one short glance. Hades couldn’t stop the corners of his lips to lift up. Did his little brother seem… disturbed? Or was that just his imagination? If Hades could pick one thing out of everything known in the universe that was unshakable and untouched by time or any other matter Poseidon would be his choice. Unaffected stability that did not leave any room for doubt and yet… something… someone push his stern brother out of his safe zone. Hades couldn’t wait to see what else the future may bring to them. He just hoped the intruder will be able to keep up with the challenge.

It will actually take a lot of time for Poseidon to realize that he isn’t annoyed with s/o but himself. Idea of being attached to another person is almost physically uncomfortable. It’s new and suspicious. The moment of understanding is the flash point of the relationship. At this point Poseidon would abandon distant admiration and start acting. He is still slightly annoyed but what’s more irritate him is the absent of that unbearable mouth of s/o. Poseidon would sit next to her or stand much closer at any events. At first she won't notice, but over time she'll start to connect the facts. She’s not dumb. Quiet neither. If she point it out, he may mock her.

— Why don't you just ask me to dance instead of deterring others? It would be a graceful way to start a relationship. Poseidon gave her almost cold look. — Such a audacity — his voice teetered on the verge of indifference - he thought so. She snorted. Her eyes weren’t darkened with anger, sparks of mirth still shone in them. Maybe even more after his refusal. Then she turned to face him and, with a subtle but promising smile, began to close the distance between them. Poseidon remained calm as she came within inches of him. He could feel the warm breath of hers, the smell of fresh air… — You know you want me — she whispered without hesitation. Something unbearably nagging was born in Poseidon’s belly. And that annoying heat under it… almost as someone wounded him. He frowned but didn’t move away. — How are you going to win me over if you can't stop fighting with yourself? — she asked innocently and didn't wait for an answer - just left him on the balcony.

Truth be told, Poseidon wasn’t made for small talks so s/o is doing most of the part and - to provoke a reaction - teasing him a bit. After a while, they both find the silence in their presence pleasant. Poseidon’s seduce tactic would mostly navigate around small gestures such as gifts. However he won’t send them like every normal suitor. If his s/o lives near the ocean or is often near it, she would probably find many beautiful pearls by chance. All of them in her favourites colours of course. Is she basking on the beach? The finest shells surround her. Is she admiring shoal of fish, coral reef or just the sound of the sea? There are no storms. And go on… It’s hard for Poseidon to overcome his pride and openly talk about his desire. When he finally bring himself to it, he’ll sound angry as if he’s doing something unworthy of him. Once s/o assures him that she wants to know more, Poseidon would relax.

— I want you to remind me every day how unbearable I am. How capricious… how impertinent… — she kissed his hand without taking her eyes off him and then put it to her cheek. Poseidon liked the cool touch of her skin — And still watch me with that quiet yet deep fascination.

Yeah, s/o has to make it official by saying out loud how she feels and Poseidon generously accept the offer…

NSFW For Poseidon to be in any relationship, especially romantic is almost impossible. He doesn’t get involved with others because, in his opinion, they’re not worth it. So nobody would force on him arranged marriage. He must be the one choosing that path. That’s why I don’t believe he would ever degenerating his s/o. The reason is simple - he would treat his wife with the same level of respect he treats Hades. Otherwise she wouldn’t be his wife; she cannot be someone less. I also don’t think he would praise her much, probably only when he’s in right mood she would hear complement here and there. He’s detail-oriented - would leave no curve or plane untouched from his hands or tongue. He’ll enjoy every sound, shaking and blush s/o make, and act in accordance with the mentioned gestures. Poseidon prefers variants of missionary position to share eye contact though he wouldn’t say no to his s/o if she wants to ride him. In intimidating moment he enjoys challenging her to not close eyes when he thrusts deep into her. He starts with slow and almost annoyed pace that soon becomes raw and firm when they both chase their release. Afterward they usually lay in bed in silent, both satisfied and tired. Poseidon won’t say it loud but he really likes when his wife show him affections at that time. Slowly almost lazily massaging his chest, touching his neck and jaw, putting small kisses on his ear or cheek. Her tender words soft him. Poseidon doesn’t entirely return the favour but when she does all this to him, he caresses her back, pretending to be indifferent.

Now that piqued the helheim ruler’s interest, how did someone even managed to do something even worse than loki?

He decided to come out to the upperworld more often to observe you from afar. He wanted to know more about you and maybe hang out around sometimes since he haven’t seek any fun in his life for a long while after all, though he have tons of work to finish

There he sees you pulling out your shenanigans stupidly, how cute. Your chaotic behavior may seem dumb and annoying to other deities but to him? He found it adorable and fascinating on how you come up with new ways of pranking deities none stop

H/c deity was found pushing Loki lightly made him dropped whatever he’s holding “jeez f/n! You’ll never ever get tired of bullying me do you, oh well. You found a tall intimidating god, you didn’t look up to see who he is or you have any clue of it, you hid behind him, sticking your tongue out at Loki. The mischievous god sighs and asked the tall god “sir, I apologize for that gremlin and for the commotion. May I have them back?” Loki smiles sarcastically. The tall god chuckles… wait, you recognize his voice “I’m afraid you’ll have you get your revenge later” oh shit. Is that… is that Hades? You thought as you lean to his side to look up and see his face while Loki floats away in defeat

You stare at him, who’s watching Loki leave, he is Hades the king of the helheim… he’s even handsome up close, suddenly his gaze switches to your eyes as he look at you with a gentle smile

“Where’s my thank you hm?” Your soul flew back to your body and you bowed deeply, head digging down the floor “uhh thank you very much mister!” You said, not looking at him. You were hanging out in Valhalla again, but this time. You’re alone, sleeping while your back leaning against a tree in the garden while shifting uncomfortably

A presence seems to be approaching your slumbering form quietly, not daring to wake you up from your beauty sleep. The presence looms over your unconscious body, whoever it is, stepped beside you and laying down next to you without making any sound.

Your uncomfortable shifting was not unnoticed by the person next to you, hands slowly caress your back and sides silently, your upper body was caressed gently, being guided by the hands, which make your body turns aside. Suddenly your head lays on a soft surface, a fabric texture. One of the person’s hand now rest on your head and stroking your hair so tenderly. With the change of position and feeling something on your head, it causes your eye lids to open up slowly, expected to meet a sunlight but instead, observing the sight in front of you made you realized your current position.

Hades lean against the tree and lift you up by your lower parts, placing you up on his lap and he guides your head to rest on his shoulder

He didn’t expect your second encounter would be this… lovely and sweet, he loves it a lot. He felt like everything that mattered his mind vanished while there’s only you in his head, he had never seen your peaceful side before and he love it, honestly he admire everything about you to the point he didn’t realized his feelings developed more and more

The two rest together under the tree in a garden peacefully, no one dares to mind them or even see them in the first place. At least one person saw and ran away to go weeping in the corner

You and Hades eventually become closer and closer together, even if the two’s personalities are as different as day and night, rumors starts to spread about Hades being your boyfriend or smth

I kid you not, when Poseidon heard about this he’s beyond disappointment. Out of all god and goddesses, you??? While zeus actually being supportive and adamas is just, shocked

Hades didn’t mind the rumors, he actually likes it since its just fun to tease you something like “we look like couples don’t you think?”

You almost leave him a scar

He’s actually starting to get serious about his feelings, does he think of you as a friend? Of course! That’s what he at least tried, cause seeing you with Loki makes him rethink his plan about confession

One day he was about to meet you in Valhalla like usual, smiling a bit. Once he’s close to your meet up place. A frown soon took over his face when he sees you and Loki together

He was about to turn away but a few words reached his ears

I was wondering if you could write something about fem reader being from another dimension with Buddha, Qin Shi Huang, Nikola, Hades and Raiden (all separate if that's okay), reader can basically travel throughout dimensions and universes and often times take pictures of the place and being back things they got from the dimension (I can just imagine Nikola begging reader to take him with her 😭)

-You were a dimension hopper, going from different dimensions and worlds. You did it for fun, after discovering this new but odd power of yours, and you had no issues running around, hopping from one to the other.

-There were some dimensions you visited often, ones that you enjoyed going to, and then there were some you only visited once, putting them on your ‘do not visit again’ list.

-You collected souvenirs, usually pictures, but knickknacks and things like that were common as well, as a memento of the different worlds you visited, and you had those decorating your room.

-You opened a new portal, which looked like a giant zipper in space and you stepped through, finding yourself in a large room with five men who were all staring at you with wide eyes, wanting to know where you came from.

-You just beamed brightly at them, “Hiya! I’m Y/N and I’m a dimension hopper! Nice to meet you!” instantly you were almost plowed down by Nikola who had you in his arms, his eyes huge and wide, looking almost manic as they were bloodshot as he began to rapid fire questions at you, wanting to know EVERYTHING!!

-You couldn’t help but grin as Buddha came over, pulling Nikola off of you so you could stand up and you were invited to join them, as they were curious on your ability.

-You were in shock to find yourself in Valhalla, and they were all either gods or humans from history and you couldn’t help but beam, “This is so cool! This Valhalla is so much brighter looking!!”

-Hades paused at your words, “This Valhalla?” you nodded, pulling out your camera and you quickly scrolled through the photos before coming to the photo, showing them a wasteland, like it had been attacked, burning and smoldering, with no life, “I cam across that one about a month ago, apparently something called Ragnarok happened, and it destroyed everything.”

-They all flinched, hearing about Ragnarok, worried about if that’s what would have happened if the tournament hadn’t been called off, and those who perished were brought back to life.

-You were amazed to learn this information, that Ragnarok almost happened in this dimension as well, but you were happy that it didn’t, as this seemed like a cool place.

-You spent the day with your new friends, putting this dimension on the list to revisit, as you liked the people you’ve met, finding them not only interesting but enjoyable to be around.

-They loved seeing your photos of the different dimensions you visits, throughout different times and eras, showing Raiden what Japan in the year 2050 looks like, something out of a sci-fi movie, you showed Qin Shi Huang ancient China if he didn’t become the emperor, which pissed him off as he saw so many people suffering.

-It was so unique to see different worlds if certain things didn’t happen, or if certain people didn’t exist. It was amazing to see what one missing person could do for a whole dimension.

-When you got ready to leave, promising to be back, Raiden and Buddha had to help get you free from Nikola, who was on his knees, begging you to take him with you, arms around your hips, not letting you leave.

-You promised to take him one day, once you could find out if it was safe to do so, as you didn’t want to risk your new friends and you unzipped reality again, stepping through and flashed them a smile as you zipped it up, disappearing again.

Major spoilers for Hades 2!! (I guess? Kind of? If you want to go through the game blind don’t read this)

I wanted to share my thoughts I had while I watched the livestream so…

OMG it looks so cool?? I am digging Melinoë’s design (I have also been pronouncing her name wrong all this time whoops)

And the new characters??? I should’ve known Hecate would be involved since Melinoë is, you know, a witch and all. Can we talk about Nemesis? Omg mommy please step on me. I love her design! And we get more of Nyx’s children

Also… Nyx can only have twinks and butch women as her children. And Moros? I saw the white hair and knew he looked familiar (Thanatos my boy where are you)

Ok but the new gods? APOLLO!!!! And I am assuming Artemis functions like Thanatos did right? I was not expecting that voice from Hestia, but I am all for it. Hephaestus too! I didn’t think the other gods that appeared before would get new designs, but hell yeah. Demeter looked so cool. I think the only one of the 12 Olympians missing is Hera right? I kinda wanna see her

And Selene? I LOVE HER DESIGN SO MUCH!!! The art in Hades never misses. (I was also not expecting Odysseus like hello). I was a huge mythology nerd as a child so I instantly recognized Arachne

Skelly! And Dora reminds me quite a bit of Dusa

Hecate being the first boss is cool af. And Melinoë’s whole thing with revenge against Cronos is something I like (Cronos being the big bad? Percy Jackson much huh). I didn’t think she was that much younger than Zagreus, but they were taken away just when she was a child? That’s cold. I am actually liking her character tho. Zagreus will always have my heart, but I’m interested in what happens as you progress more

I am super excited for the game to come out, and I am going to not shut up about it once it does

Solangelo headcanons because I’m finally at Trials of Apollo!

•Sometimes they just lie next to each other and do their own thing. They don’t even have to be cuddling or talking, they just like being close. Nico could be on his phone and looking at new collectors Mythomagic cards and Will could be reading a human anatomy book. -Sometimes when they do this, Will will probably scratch Nico’s back as a soothing gesture.

•Will uses the same ‘doctor’s note’ excuse as a way to be able to sleep in the Hades cabin, where they play Super Smash Bros, Mythomagic, 20 questions, and cuddle.

•Nico is gray asexual and has made this very clear to Will, who takes it very seriously. Everytime anyone makes any sort of inappropriate joke or teasing comment about the two spending a lot of time in the Hades cabin together, Will immediately tells them to cut it out because Nico is not wanting any of that. (Nico really doesn’t care about the jokes, but he finds Will’s respectfulness sweet)

•Will sometimes makes offerings to Hades in order to impress him and show he can be a good future son-in-law.

•When they’re hanging out alone, those are the only times we see old traces of young Nico. He rambles and gets overly excited about his special interests. Will thinks it’s adorable.

•Sometimes when Will comes back from a long day of healing and his magic is all worn, Nico treats Will how he treated Nico when Nico shadow travelled too much, acting all stern. He says it’s ‘payback’ for Will being all ‘annoying’ that day, but Will really loves it.

•Nico used to do a lot of sketches of Will and Will used to write poetry of Nico when they were still in their pining phase. After dating for a couple of months, they ended up showing each other these things and they ended up laughing together about how ‘cringe’ they were.

•They first met when Nico was pre-emo and Will developed a big, fat crush on him and Nico rambled on and on about Mythomagic to him. But after Nico became super angsty and closed off, the crush dissipated for a while, crush being replaced with concern and frustration.

Things I would change about HOO if I had the chance

Disclaimer, I am not suggesting that I am better than Rick Riordan, BC while I do have issues with certain actions of his, what he has created is extremely impressive and without a doubt amazing. I am not suggesting that his books need to be burned and that they're terrible, but it’s important to note that no book is flawless and every book can have criticism levied against it but that should not necessarily affect your enjoyment of a piece of media.

With that out of the way, let’s get into it

The debate on whether or not to save Nico is my least favourite part of the entire Riordanverse. I despise it with every fibre of my being. Look I get why they were arguing against saving him, and I do think there's value in the scene and it shouldn't be removed, but Percy should not have accepted it. Percy and Nico may have had problems (points to Nico’s internalised homophobia + probably religious guilt, the misplaced blame of Bianca’s death, the betrayal of Percy to Hades, and probably many more examples) but Percy’s fatal flaw is loyalty. He literally took on the great prophecy for Nico. He could have asked his dad to idk. Turn him into a dolphin until Nico’s 16th birthday or something. But he didn't. Also, Nico was the one to get him the Achilles Curse which probably saved his life countless times, and Percy should at the very least want to return the favour.

Speaking of the Achilles Curse, how did they get rid of it? Are we forgetting that Percy can swim without getting wet? (Also it seemed a bit contrived to me). And before you go arguing that it lowered stakes, no it didn't! There’s a great fanfic I once read that showed what it would be like if Percy kept the Achilles curse, while also delving more into the curse aspects of it! In the end, you could clearly see why he wanted it gone! It could have been an extremely interesting plot point!

I made a post about it before but the Percy Jason rivalry was contrived. It should have been an Annabeth and Jason rivalry while Percy and Piper were the friends. Like. Both Annabeth and Jason were used to being the leaders, and while Annabeth can give up control, she doesn't usually do so. They’re both also the competitive ones so they would definitely clash a lot more than the usually laid back Percy. Honestly Percy and Piper would both be really good friends.

The Jason and Annabeth rivalry would probably be exacerbated if Jason acted like he had been raised by y'know. Wolves. To me personally it never really came across that he had been with Lupa since he was 2. He should have been more. Wild ig? Like in Caffeinated Flummiddle’s ‘Decendents of Olympus’ (I butchered their name, I’m sorry) he literally ripped out someone's throat! That’s more wolf like behaviour! And while I don't want him to be all Alpha and stuff, I would like more wolf characteristics please. Maybe a preference for raw meat, lending to the irony of him dating a vegetarian

Speaking of the vegetarian in question, I hate how they handled Drew. Traumatised girl who fought in a war, lost her older sister, and had become cabin counsellor gets humiliated by a new sister who forcefully takes her place. So once again, I’m going to take inspiration from Caffeinated Flummiddle’s work and make her aroace, and also less cruel. She’s definitely no sweetheart but she’s more sympathetic. I mean, look at it from her perspective. After all the aforementioned stuff happens to her, Percy Jackson, one of the strongest demigods and well beloved figures goes missing, the gods shut down Olympus, and suddenly there’s info on where you can find Percy after months of searching, but it’s fruitless and instead of Percy, you get 3 random people, one of whom is your sister, and is extremely mean towards Aphrodite kids, treating them as if all they care about is physical appearances (side note: I hate the interpretation of the Aphrodite cabin. Literally during Vital, they were running around offering to make ppl look good, when it would have made more sense for them to be gearing up to fight to protect their home and the people they love. After all, there’s a reason love and war are so often interlinked. I personally would have leaned more into this protector aspect. Aphrodite kids fight for love, and to protect). So Drew in my version would have rightly wary and pissed, but would bind with Piper for the course of her stay at camp, coming to see her as a sister and encouraging her to lean into her femininity. But no counsellor Piper! Idk why Rick loves to make all of his characters either Counsellors or Praetors. Out of the 7, the only non-cabin counsellors were Hazel and Frank, who were both Praetors

Leo would stay single and learn to love himself, and that his value is not dependent on his relationship status. I would prefer Hazel/Frank/Leo like in this very specific fanfic but Single Leo works better thematically. No Calypso plotline. The gods freed her and that’s that.

Actually no that’s not that. Calypso could join the hunters like her late sister. After all, after centuries of being forced to fall in love, she's probably done with it.

Idk if Reyna should join them or instead just travel around the world and chill. After all, not every single female character needs to join the hunters.

Small tweaks to Percabeth. Check my previous post for more details. Aka no judo flip scene, and more supportive Annabeth

No evil Nyx. She’s a primordial, she has better things to do than bear with demigods. This isn't a big issue but I’m not a fan of it.

ACTUALLY ADDRESS THE POISON SCENE MY GOD. CW for Suicidal behaviour but Percy was willing to let himself die! And Jason just went ‘Yeah I get it’ instead of giving an appropriate reaction!

Also idk if I'm hallucinating but I could have sworn that Annabeth once said that she got underestimated for being blonde. That was the stupidest thing ever. I'm not blonde but I can assure you, ppl don't get discriminated against bc they're blond. I feel like it would have worked better if the focus was pivoted from 'being seen as dumb BC she's blond' to being seen as dumb BC she's a girl'

Also idk if I'm qualified to talk about this but Rick really just gave us body positivity (Frank not being conventionally fit), before magically taking it away. Like maybe if he got there through exercise it wouldn't be quite as bad (though it's important to remember that not all plus sized people can exercise and get super thin, and it depends on a number of factors like your genetics and any possible medication) but just magically he got stereotypically fit, which annoys me to end BC of personal reasons

Definitely not qualified to talk about this but I remember there was a whole issue with a part of the way Rick handled Piper's Cherokee identity. I can't remember but I believe it was BC she wore eagle feathers in her hair which is only done by Cherokee chiefs? If anybody is well educated on this issue, pls feel free to educate me.

More emphasis on smart Percy. We all seem to have forgotten the diet coke scene and that is a crime

More Grover??? He went from being one of the main characters to being nowhere around

* Your finger taps against the cheap linoleum table.

* ‘I’m in a lot of shit.’

* The problems just keep stacking up, one after the other.

* The lost dog got you out to Colorado, but there are no more open tickets on trains or busses from here—it’s peak season and everyone seems to be moving in or out of the city.

* You’re not sixteen yet so you can’t rent a car, and the solstice is growing closer with every minute.

* So now you’re sitting in a shitty diner, in a shitty town, trying to find some way to shitty California so Percy can meet his degenerate Dad.

Not to mention that this asshole has to be here—you wrinkle your nose as another wave of violent emotion wafts over you

* ‘Can’t he keep it in his pants for ten minutes?’

* Ares grins back at you.

* He looks a lot like his mother, and a little like Maki. You catch pieces of Clarisse in him too. The shape of his nose, the curve of his lip.

* A yellow aura radiates off of him, perfect blond curls pressed against his head, and a bright red flush over the bridge of his nose.

* If he wasn’t being such an asshole tormenting Percy you’d say he was handsome.

* He gives you a wolfish grin, eyes hidden behind a pair of dark sunglasses, his leather jacket wrinkling as he leans forward.

* “I’ve been dying to meet you.”

* Annabeth flinches, Percy glowers, Grover looks like he wants to disappear, you only raise an eyebrow.

* “And why would that be?”

* Ares snorts, leaning back in his chair. “Humble like your old Underworld Daddy, huh?”

* You’d laugh if you weren’t so annoyed with him right now. The children look beside themselves with horror. Ares doesn’t seem to care, using a steak knife to clean his fingers. “You’re all anyone can talk about these days.” He whistles.

* “What about him?” You nod to Percy, who seems about a second from punching him in the face.

* Ares rolls his eyes.

*“Poseidon having a kid? That’s old news, old seaweeds notorious for getting caught up in the moment—everyone knows about his and Amphitrite's agreement.”

*‘Oh my god, Percy’s dad is a swinger.’

*“But Hades having a kid?” You catch a glimmer of Ares' eyes widening from behind his glasses. “That’s interesting.”

*‘Well, he’s not really my Dad.’

*But his fascination with you is starting to make sense. Hades is hopelessly devoted to Persephone, you’re fairly certain he’s never even glanced at someone in a romantic light after devoting himself to her.

*“What’s even more interesting is how they’ve all curled around you, protecting you from the others.” For the first time, you feel a shiver trail down your spine, teeth clenched hard to suppress the natural movement. Even though you can’t see them, you can feel Ares's eyes trained on you, studying every action you make.

*‘He’s suspicious.’

*Persephone did say he’s surprisingly astute for someone who acts like a moron.

*“Not to mention half of the Olympians have given you blessings.”

*That catches you off guard.

*“What?”

*You can feel him keen at your surprise.

*“It’s right there,” he nods towards your jacket-covered sleeve. As if they can only be ignited by a divine voice, the symbols glow.

*“There’s Makaira,” he says pointing to a pale yellow mark of a bird. “Melinoe,” a somber grey mark of a stone. “Hades,” Black with three skulls. “Persephone,” a bright pink peony. “Zagreus,” this one is said with a raised eyebrow at the red sword burned into your skin. “Circe,” an orange bay leaf. “Hecate—nice.” He remarks at the green crescent moon in your skin. “Dionysus,” This is punctuated by a soft smile, the purple strawberries glow under his gaze. “Hera.” The bright yellow dove on the back of your hand.

*Ares eyes squint like he sees something else, something he can’t quite make out. But he says nothing. Only mutters a soft: “That’s weird.”

*Noticing the weakness he’s shown, he grins again.

*‘So that’s the face he uses to hide his real feelings.’

*“Want to add another? I wouldn’t mind giving you a bit of wrath.” His hand glows with an ombré of yellow to red. Your hand instinctively goes to hold Percy back when he rises to smack some sense into the incorrigible god.

*“How about you stop tormenting my friend and tell me what the fuck it is you want.”

*The use of the swear has Grover’s fork clattering to the floor.

*‘It’s rude but at least one of these crappy blessings should protect me right?’

*Ares doesn’t seem to mind, his grin only widening, hands held up in truce, Percy relaxes next to you.

*“I need a simple favor from you.”

*You very much doubt anything that comes from this man’s mouth is going to be simple in the least.

*“I was on a date and—”

*“Oh my god you were harassing Aphrodite again weren’t you?”

*He grows flustered.

*“W-what no—”

*“Yes, you were.” You respond. “Makaria and Melinoe told me all about it, how last month she was having a quiet dinner with her family and you showed up drunk on her lawn slurring love ballads.” Percy actually muffled a snort at that, and Annabeth has to feign excessive interest in the window.

*Ares flushes red in embarrassment.

*“L-look do you want a ride to the west or not?!”

*You do need a ride out of town.

*‘But I’m starting to think it’s not a coincidence all modes of transportation for us are blocked.’

*“So what is it you need?” You ask leaning back in your chair.

*“I left my shield at the old abandoned water park, if you get it for me I’ll get you a ride to the west.”

*You lean back in your chair, he wants something from this—more than just getting a glance at a few demi-gods or his shield.

*‘Which means I can get a little more out of this.’

*“You get us a ride out west and you give Clarisse and her mom a call.”

*He’s baffled by the request, as are the other three children.

*Despite his confusion, he nods.

*“I can do that.”

*“Then we have a deal.”

*There’s a moment of awkward silence, the only sound of Grover half-slurping, half-chewing his plastic straw.

*“A-alright, I have an appointment, it was nice meeting you.” He gives you a slight bow before getting on his motorcycle and ripping his engine into the highway.

*“He’s nicer than I thought he would be.” You say biting one if Percy’s fries.

*People should really be more wary of a gaggle of children walking around a city unaccompanied

*Especially when they’re peeking over a wooden fence, eyes swinging right to left as they survey an old water park

*“I think the coast is clear,” Annabeth says.

*“I don’t hear anything.” Grover adds, his ears twitching.

*Your mouth opens, the words: “Let’s wait a few minutes to be sure.” Dancing on the tip of your tongue when Percy jumps the fence.

*The three of you look at him with dumbstruck expression, Annabeth smacks her forehead.

*“What? We were going to do it sooner or later anyway.”

*There’s something haunting about an abandoned water park, rides teaming with algae, inner tubes half inflated still rotating on a lazy River—it’s unsettling.

*What’s even more unsettling are Annabeth’s twinkling eyes when she spots an unlocked gift shop.

*“We can’t just take this stuff Annabeth!” Percy, ever the morally upright young man, says.

*“Watch me.” She hisses back, grabbing a pair of shorts and a t-shirt.

*“Hell yeah! We’re finally doing something fun, hey Annie let’s insight a riot on Main Street so we can loot there too!”

*“Oh man, not you too!” Percy groans. He looks hurt when Grover moved to join you both in your ransacking.

*“If you can’t beat em,” Grover shrugs.

*And that’s how the four of you ended up walking around an abandoned water park looking like ghosts of their catalog models.

*“It’s probably in there.” Grover nods to the Tunnel of Love, it’s one of the few rides they bothered to drain and turn off.

*‘That or Ares drained it himself.’

*Your staff glows in your hand.

*‘What kind of trick is this.’

*Annabeth and Percy race in front of you.

*“Not you too Annie!”

*“I just want to get out of this place! It gives me the creeps!” She calls back.

*That’s not exactly what you want to hear from a twelve-year-old child of Athena

*“Kids, am I right?” Grover says with a sheepish grin from beside you.

*You sigh.

*‘At least one of them has got more than one brain cell.’

*“Tell me about it.”

*You walk to the end of the tunnel, studying the walls and miscellaneous graffiti.

*“So what’s the deal with Aphrodite and Ares?”

*You scoff.

*“It’s just the usual thing, a woman finally figured out they deserve better and the degenerate they left behind thinks otherwise.” Grover looks at you with a puzzled expression,

*“I…I always heard the affair was reciprocated.”

*You scoff again.

*‘Ares would like people to think that.’

*“She woke up one day, all of her kids grown and independent, and realized the only child she was taking care of was her partner and that she’d spent most of her life taking care of other people—”

*Melinoe had a very inquisitive expression when she told you this, like it pained her too, like she was the one who lived through it.

*“—so she left him and married someone who would take care of her. And Ares is still pissed about it I guess because he keeps doing crap like this to win her back.”

*It’s almost abusive when you think about it.

*Grover is silent for a long while.

*“Why don’t people ever talk about this?”

*Your mouth stretches into a fine line.

*“Because maybe it’s easier to avert your eyes sometimes.”

*You don’t hold it against them, Ares is a powerful god, and while Aphrodite is coveted—she doesn’t hold much power on her own.

*‘It’s not easy to call out Zeus’ son for his poor behavior.’

*You both stop when you reach the end of the ride, a dome shaped enclave, gilded with mirrors.

*You and Percy share identical sneers

*‘That jerk really thought Aphrodite would want to meet up somewhere she could stare at herself…did he ever love her?’

*“Let’s go and get it, come on Annabeth—”

*“I’m not going in the Tunnel of Love with you.” She looks completely embarrassed at the notion.

*‘She is only 12 years old after all, it’s natural for her to be embarrassed.’

*“Let’s wait a minute.”

*You can’t just charge into a situation, you have to think things through.

*“So here’s the plan—” you’re positive old shitty blush has an ulterior motive it can’t be this easy to grab a shield. You look to the children, seeing a dash outline where Percy should be. “Where’s P—”

*A click echoed through the chamber.

*Percy’s standing in the middle of the empty pool, a massive silver shield in his hand.

*When he catches your gaze he gives a sheepish shrug.

*“I figured if we were going to die, we might as well die soon.”

*‘Hades, what are these kids watching to get such a negative outlook on life?’

*You’re about to open your mouth to tell him as much when you hear a rumble.

*“Shit.”

*It’s Annabeth’s idea to get on the shield, Grover’s legs that kick away water from you, and Percy’s total concentration on his blooming powers and Annabeth’s tact that keeps you from smashing into rock and riding the tide out the entrance.

*And even though the Cupid statues record you, completely drenched and a little humiliated, next to a sputtering Annabeth, a hyperventilating Grover, and a adrenaline overload Percy breathing fast—you grin.

*‘At least it’s never boring.’

*You point into the camera, still grinning.

*“You owe us.”

*Percy pops out from behind you, waving.

*“Yeah, shows over!”

*You grin.

*‘It’s good to have friends.’

I haven’t finished Hades yet bc of Hades’ second boss phase but I still wanted to write for Zagreus bc of my growing love for him 🥹🤍(also Hack this is for you! 🫶🏾) reader is gender neutral!

Ah, Elysium.

It was always easier to breathe up here- the air felt clear, nothing like the heat in Asphodel. It was calm, and the vast ageless structures motivated Zagreus no matter how many times he entered this realm- he was so close to reaching his goal of escaping, so close to reuniting with his mother.

He could tell that he was close to reaching Theseus and Asterius from how many enemies had been spawning more and more in each room, multiplying with no end in sight. But Zagreus was already used to it and well prepared, getting through them with only a few issues.

But the next room surprised him.

He pretty much had most of Elysium memorized (or at least he thought he did through his…many attempts), but yet he had never seen this figure in any one of his travels.

Zagreus’ widened eyes were met with your own.

“I don’t think we’ve met before, have we?”

“Hm,” you blinked and stood up, the faded patched up cloak that covered you slowly gliding around. “No, we haven’t. But yet I’ve heard so much about you.”

“Hopefully good things and not troubling?”

“Well, that would depend on who you ask. But either way, what I’ve heard so far was…interesting.”

Zagreus chuckled at your words and took in your form- you didn’t look like the typical Shade, and he didn’t see you armed with anything. Nor were you talking down at him, your eyes being full of kindness and your tone light and airy.

You weren’t someone sent by his father to stop him. Good.

“I tend to have that effect on some. Seems like I don’t have to introduce myself, but I feel like it would be rude if I didn’t.” He held out his hand and gently smiled. “Zagreus.”

You took his hand and introduced yourself in return, and Zagreus couldn’t help but marvel in your touch. Your touch was so soft and warm- he let his fingers hold onto you for a bit more before he came to his senses and let go.

He cleared his throat, hoping his embarrassment wasn’t that obvious. “Well then, it’s nice to make your acquaintance. It’s always welcomed to see a pleasant face that’s not out to kill me.”

You giggled at his statement, “I’m glad to be of service, my lord.”

As much as Zagreus would like to stay and get to know you more, he knew what led beyond the next doors. He could hear the chants and just imagine the cheeky grin on Theseus’ face. It made him roll his eyes, but he knew that time was of the essence.

It seemed that you understood his dilemma as well, and walked with him to the looming doors.

“I would say I hope we see each other again, but I think that would be wishing bad fortune on you.” You sheepishly smiled, fiddling with your cloak. “But, I do have something that could help you on your journey if you like?”

Zagreus couldn’t help but smile- you really were too kind (and cute).

“I would, actually.” And he felt himself grow stronger, having more chances at battle before the River Styx called him back.

“I truly do hope this isn’t the last I see of you.” He confessed. “Hopefully the next time our paths cross is under better circumstances.”

“Likewise.“ You agreed. “I’ll be waiting for the moment.”

He stood before the entrance and heard the rising chants of the undead. He glanced to get one last look of you, a bright twinkle in your eye as you waved him off.

“I’ll be cheering for you, young Prince.”

Zagreus was able to hear your words before the growing cheers from the arena drowned them, which left him with a new fire lit inside of him. Not even Theseus’ arrogance was able to deter him.

“Alright,” he swung his Stygian Blade and got into his stance.

“Let’s get this over with.”

summary: when you join sam and colby on an investigation, the spirits expose something you’ve been keeping a secret.

"are you sure you still wanna go with us? you don't have to if you're not feeling up for it." colby asked you. he and sam were about to embark on an international trip to film some investigation videos.

"i think i'll be good. i'm not having any symptoms just yet, and since i'm not showing, no one will ask any questions." you said. you had recently found out you were pregnant. despite this coming as a surprise, you and colby were both still excited for this next step.

along with the scary parts, your trip ending up being so much fun. katrina came along as well, so it was almost like a couples retreat for the four of you. sight seeing was a blast, seeing some of the most beautiful countries and scenery you'd ever seen.

today's investigation was taking place at a place sam and colby were referring to the "shadow man manor," it's real name being Llancaiach Fawr Manor.

"you feeling okay?" colby asked once you arrived. you and him stood off to the side of the car where you could talk quietly.

"my head hurts a little bit, but you know i always get headaches when i come on these investigations with you guys." you said. you were pretty sensitive to spirits, having had a decent amount of paranormal experiences throughout your life. you had a stronger connection than you would like, but it still made for interesting conversations.

"hey, i'm pretty sure we're not the only two people here!" sam called from the car where him and katrina were unloading the equipment. you and colby shared a laugh while you went over to help them get everything together.

as the night began, things were off to a pretty interesting start. your group began hearing noises and other things throughout just the initial tour of the home.

during the investigation, however, is when things started to amplify.

you were in a room of the house that reportedly was more active than most other rooms. sam hade the ovilus in his hand and as soon as he turned it on, it began throwing out words.

"MOTHER" “BABY" "INFANT"

"what is happening? there's no stories attached to this manor that had anything to do with a pregnant woman." sam said, turning the ovilus off and back on again to reset it.

"yeah, that's crazy." colby said softly, avoiding looking at you. he knew that you weren't ready to share the news yet, so he wasn't going to say anything. you, however, were scare shitless. you looked up at him, and he was staring down at the floor. his face was pale and his eyes were wide.

the night went on, and so many other communications and evidence captured contained mentions of pregnancy. you tried your hardest not to worry, and bring attention to it, but you were scared. you didn’t know what this spirit wanted from you, or how you were even going to finish the night.

you made your way up to the attic for to investigate up there. just as you began climbing the stairs, you felt woozy.

“you okay?” colby asked, pulling you off to the side. you took a deep breath and nodded.

“yeah, for the most part. all that shit earlier made me really nervous.” you said, placing your hand on your belly.

“me too.” he said, pulling you into his chest. he pressed a kiss to the top of your head as you hugged him tight. you slowly made your way up to the attic and things were pretty calm for the time that you were up there.

in the attic, you were feeling a heavy presence. it felt almost as if someone was sitting on your shoulders. you kept hearing what sounded like whisps of air moving past your ears.

“theres definitely something in here.” you said softly. katrina was standing next to you so she was the only one who heard you.

while you were in the attic, listening to the boys communicate with the spirit that was talking with them, you suddenly felt a warmth creep up your back. you shook it off as you being overwhelmed and let the boys finish their conversation.

“can we get out of here soon? i’m feeling very uneasy.” you said softly. it had been a while of no responses, so sam and colby agreed to leave the attic. once you got back down to the main level of the home, you all decided to take a little break.

“y/n, what is that on your neck?” katrina asked as she walked up behind you. she pulled down the neck of your shirt and revealed three large scratches that began at the base of your neck and continued down about to the middle of your back.

“holy shit, those scratches are so big.” sam sad. he snapped a picture and showed them to you, your eyes widening at the sight.

“what? what the hell?” colby asked, pushing he way to you between sam and katrina. “did you feel these?” he asked you. you just shook your head.

“no? i mean, i felt a little heat creep up my back, but i just figured it was nerves. they weren’t burning or anything.” you said.

“whatever spirit is here messing with y/n, you have to stop! you are not allowed to follow her, or any of us for the rest of the night. you cannot have her, or our baby.” colby spat. his finishing words took you by surprise. this definitely wasn’t the way you wanted to announce your pregnancy to your friends.

you looked over at sam and katrina, who both had shocked expressions on their faces.

“what did you just say?” sam asked quietly.

“y/n is pregnant.” colby said, turning to you. “y/n, im so sorry. i know you wanted to wait before telling people, but i cant just stand by and let whatever is hear keep hurting and threatening you.”

“its okay.” you said, on the verge of tears. this experience had scared you beyond words, and you honestly wanted the night to be over.

“i think we should call it here. we’ve got more than enough evidence and its almost time for us to get out of here anyway.” sam said softly.

you gathered all your things, and went out to the car.

“oh yes! congrats man.” sam said to colby. “you guys are gonna be the coolest parents.”

“and you guys area gonna be little one’s favorite aunt and uncle.” you said, placing your hand on your belly.

“we have to go celebrate. there’s gotta be somewhere we can go get breakfast.” sam suggested.

“oh i hope so. im so down for celebratory pancakes.” colby laughed.

you loaded in the car and made your way to a cafe you found that was open. you had a nice breakfast with your best friends, which ended up being a great ending to a crazy night.

I just got into the Percy Jackson series, so here is a collection of my actual thought process while reading the first book that I bothered to write down. So, spoilers for Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief under the cut. I guess.

Is Mr. Brunner Dionysus? I think Dionysus is a major character in this series. But then what’s the wheelchair for? And Dionysus in mythology doesn’t have a beard like that. Oh! What if he’s actually Hephaestus? That would explain the wheelchair and the bearded old man look.

Is that tree on the property line the Olive Tree from the founding of Athens myth? Because Percy is the son of Poseidon?

Percy’s dream has got to be some kind of foreshadowing about Poseidon and Zeus fighting each other. Zeus would be the bird because he’s a sky god, and Poseidon would be the horse because in a really really old myth, Poseidon turned himself into a horse to chase down Demeter. Also, the voice from underground egging them on is definitely Hades, because god of the underworld and all that

Also goddammit, Hades is the villain?? Why????? Goddammit, not again…

Mrs. Dodds was definitely a fury, but she’s called a Kindly One. Wonder what that’s about

There’s some Thing about characters dissolving when they die. Wonder what that’s about

Wow, Dionysus is an asshole in this one. He’s more like his older Orphic version than the newer, modern Dionysus I’m familiar with

I just adore how casually neurodivergent Percy is. All the jokey references to Dyslexia and ADHD, I just—I love it so much. And I love that it actually is dyslexia and ADHD. And that apparently all the half-bloods are dyslexic and ADHD too. We love to see it.

Oh my God, I love all of these children so much.

One difference between Harry Potter and Percy Jackson (the characters) is that Harry marvels at every new instance of magic. But after Percy learns about the magic system, he just stops giving a shit. Once he learns that magic is real, he is surprised by absolutely nothing and does not question the irrelevant stuff, like Annabeth's invisibility hat, or how the fuck a ballpoint pen can turn into a sword.

Percy is such a sassy, sarcastic little shit and I love him so fucking much.

You know what, from now on, anytime a protagonist has to live with an abusive parent figure, the only resolution I will accept is turning that bitch to stone and selling him on the black market.

Thank God Percy can have a nice, stable home life with his mom in between rounds of risking his life.

I'm so on-board with Percabeth, and this friend group as a whole

Thank God the characters in this book have a fucking brain. Percy's an impulsive little chaos gremlin, but he's not an idiot.

I'm kind of curious to see what the shipping side of the Percy Jackson fandom looks like, cuz Percabeth is great, and I'm pretty sure that's the main canon pairing, so I'm curious….

Honestly, I can't wait for Percy and Annabeth to start dating. I'm so excited to see what their relationship will be like in a romantic context

I love this book and I want more immediately.
