Had a dream where Alastor and Lucifer got together, but all the headlines said something like "Lilith's ex husband managed to bag THE radio demon?!" And any time someone met them in person Lucifer got the Tony Hawk experience. His pictures paint him as bigger than life but Lucifer himself is... not?
That's bc Lucifer is a loser

Okay, so Alastor was 100% a jerkass and a petty little brat during Dad Beat Dad (which I love about him, don't get me wrong) buuuuuuuuuuut... I still want Lucifer to apologize for the 'bellhop' and 'busboy' thing. Totally uncalled for.
And then, after he apologizes, I want Alastor to be completely suspicious of him.
"...What do you want?"
"Wh- No-nothing? I'm just apologizing?"
"Why?"
"Because... It's the right thing to do?"
"Suspicious."
"No it's not!"

Hello! A continuation of Snow White + Tangled AU (and I really need a name for this, I welcome suggestions)
When Lucifer regains consciousness, he realizes 3 things. 1) Lilith's office is destroyed. 2) His...Lilith lied to him. 3) He took off his ring for the first time since she left, and he doesn't know what to do about it.
He just doesn't understand, what did Lilith gain by lying to him? What did she gain by giving him false hope that one day he would get his daughter back? What did she gain by reassuring him by telling him that everyone in hell was looking for Charlie?
He thinks about it and...believes he could understand her. He definitely would have understood if she had told him she didn't want a baby, he wouldn't have demanded anything from her. If Lilith just wanted to rule hell she could have done it, he would have been happy to give Charlie his full attention, he would have let Lilith remain as free as ever while he was a father. So, yes, he understands that it wasn't a priority for Lilith to find Charlie, but why take the option away from him? Because that's all Lilith did, right? She just lied to him when she said they were looking for her daughter, right?
Definitely...her daughter had been kidnapped by that sinner, perhaps with some terrible ideas in mind...Lilith just took advantage of the situation...right?
He can't...he doesn't want to think about that right now. He puts his ring in his jacket and goes to look for some toys, clothes and photographs to take to his daughter. He promised to bring her proof.
When he returns to the hotel, he shows his daughter all her things, everything he treasures, he tells her that her room is intact and that she can go see it if she wants. Her daughter looks at everything almost with...indifference, she touches the dresses and thinks the toys are cute, she looks at the photos and says she recognizes herself in them, but she doesn't seem to feel anything.
He understands, their time together was so short, he doesn't expect her to run into his arms (he definitely does). He tells her that he knows it will take time, but that he really wants to be a part of her life. He tells her that he is very sorry for the terrible experience she had to go through, he apologizes for taking so long to find her, and that he really wants to be her father.
It is to this that he gets a reaction from her. Charlie frowns, closes her eyes and takes a deep breath. When she looks at him again, she tells him that she will be... happy that they can start getting to know each other, that he can visit her whenever he wants, even if he is not very busy, she will reserve a room for him in the hotel so that he has a place to arrive. But he must understand that she will also be busy, she has a business to run.
She also asks him not to attack her father when he sees him. He tries to protest, but she interrupts him and asks him to understand, regardless of what he believes or what the truth is, the only father she has ever known is Alastor, and that if he wants their relationship to move forward, he must accept that Alastor was, is and always will be part of her life. She tells him that this private meeting between the two of them was Alastor's idea, so that they could talk calmly and determine the basis of their relationship.
Lucifer doesn't want to agree to that, but for now he'll accept it. He just has to show HIS daughter the life that sinner took from her by kidnapping her. He will give her everything she could want.
---
Charlie is...uncomfortable with all this sudden attention.
It's not that she's used to being ignored, quite the opposite. Her first years in society she had respect and attention for being the daughter of the Radio Demon, until she began to garner her own respect. And contrary to what most people in Hell may think, his father was not a heartless monster, he was simply very selective about who showed that soft side.
What makes her so uncomfortable is that the King's attention feels so...false? Like he's overcompensating for something.
That kind of attention is what she saw in some sinners who approached her hoping to get something from her father. That kind of attention where they just give you things and pretend to agree with everything you say.
She didn't want that kind of relationship with the King. She sincerely hoped that he would try to get to know her, and in turn she would get to know him, but even when he pretends to agree with her, it seems like he wants to impose his ideas on her, and frankly, she feels suffocated.
Aunt Rosie always told her that actions mean more than words, but she had to learn to identify when someone was sincere in both their words and actions.
Her father, for example, has always been sincere, not because his morals tell him to, but because he doesn't see the point. Yes, her dad may be sadistic and manipulative, but he is not a liar. He can be brutally honest, or he can disguise the truth, hide or omit information or be quite vague with his answers, but with her he has always been brutally honest.
When she first asked him where babies come from, he told her that there was a method in the human world, but in hell sinners couldn't have children, so he had no idea where she came from. Now, how did she get to him? In a basket.
And after the King's visit, when he told her that she was a princess, she asked her father only two questions.
Would anything have changed if he had known that she was a princess?: "Definitely", her father had no problem admitting that he would have taken advantage of the situation if he had had that information. Perhaps he would have kept her hidden until he realized that no one was looking for her and raised her to hate royalty, convince her to take the throne or give it to him.
Will things change at all now?: "It depends on you", her father doesn't see the point in things changing, she is his daughter, and if she wants the King to be her father or if she wants to be a princess (they are two different things) depends exclusively on what she wants, and as long as she wants him to be part of her life, he will be there to support her.
Charlie didn't need more, her father stepped back and let her make her own decisions. But always at a respectable distance to help her if necessary.
The King seemed quite sincere in his words, but his actions tell her otherwise.
He talks about how he misses her every day, but he never did anything to find her. She wasn't hiding in a tower or some nonsense like that, she was right there, in hell, convicting with the rest of the sinners.
And he seemed sincere when he said he wanted to be part of her life, but it seems like he just wants to buy her off by giving her nice things, say he was a good father, and leave her in some room in his palace.
She can't just have her father deal with the King the way he dealt with freeloading sinners. She simply cannot eliminate the King like she did with sinners who thought she was an easy target.
She supposes she will have to put up with the King until he gets bored. But the moment he does something stupid like trying to put a fountain of champagne or a mountain of caviar in the hotel lobby, she'll kick him to the other end of Pentagram City.

Hi! More Snow White + Tangled AU content, this time from Lucifer's point of view.
Lucifer knew that he was moving away from everyone, first heaven, then sins, his own kingdom, even his wife. He was so happy when Charlie was born, he thought he could have his family, that things could get better. He only had hope again for a week. They were in hell, they shouldn't have expected anything better.
At first he was panicking, thinking that somehow his daughter would still be in the palace. Then there was anger, who would dare to do something like that? Who would be so stupid? He wanted to go out and burn everything until he found his baby, but Lilith convinced him that it would be best to wait, perhaps those responsible would want money in exchange and could deal with them accordingly.
Days passed and there was no news from his daughter. Lilith told him that she went to a sinner's radio station, she told him that he would give notice if he knew anything. Then Lilith began to go to the Overlords meetings, she said that they would be attentive if any of the souls in their charge knew anything. After Lilith went to the meetings with the Sins again, she said that if it was someone from the other circles of hell they would let them know.
He did not feel able to leave the palace, not only because the depression hit him hard again, but also because he was afraid that the moment he set foot outside the palace it would be when he would receive a call, letter or anything that would be said to him where to find his daughter.
Lilith warned him when someone found a clue, when it turned out to be a lie, like once they were about to find her but were too late. Without realizing it, 20 years passed, Lilith told him that a sinner brought television to hell, that perhaps with that they could have better results, he gave Lilith some of the many photos that he took of Charlie in the week she was with them, in addition to some paintings he made. Lilith told him that the meeting was a success and the news would spread throughout all the circles of hell.
The years continued to pass, and one day Lilith simply told him that she was leaving, that she could no longer be there with him, she told him to get over the loss, that she would try somewhere else. He was left alone, without news from the outside, without the courage to call the sins himself to find out if they knew anything about his daughter.
It's been 7 years since Lilith left, almost 100 since he lost his daughter. He doesn't know how much longer he can wait. He turns on the television hoping that what he sees relates to his Charlie...and sure enough, there was a Charlie on the television, talking about the Hazbin Hotel, a neutral and safe zone for low-income sinners. He recognizes her immediately, there is no way she is not his daughter.
When he goes to see her, to look for her, he introduces himself and she...has no idea who he is, she doesn't know what he's talking about. It's fair, her kidnapper must have filled her head with lies, the kidnapper who appears behind her, whom she looks at with adoration and calls him dad. He can't help it, he attacks him, or at least he tries to. His daughter expels him from the hotel, tells him to come back when he is able to remain calm and that only then can they talk. He waits outside for a day to calm down (or to meet the kidnapper and kill him, whichever comes first).
When his daughter realizes that he is outside, she tells him to come in and takes him to a private room to talk, there he meets the kidnapper and a fallen angel, is heaven involved with the kidnapping?
They try to talk, it's mostly shouts and accusations from him, the fallen angel is on the defensive, ready to attack him if he approaches his daughter or the kidnapper, who are very calm, although confused. Lucifer talks about how he has been looking for his daughter, the princess of hell, the kidnapper tells lies, how he found Charlie in a basket outside his door, and that in all this time he never knew that a princess existed. His daughter agrees with him, she has never heard anything about it, the fallen angel agrees that it is the first time she knows something about a princess.
Lucifer knows that can't be true, they must be manipulating his daughter, so he promises HIS daughter that he will return with proof...but he has nothing. He goes to Zestial, the only Overlord he remembers...and tells him he didn't know anything about it. He goes to that television station to talk to...Cox? Box?, he is even more confused than Zestial. He gathers courage and goes to see the Sins...and none of them knew anything, they didn't even know that he had a daughter.
He returns home, for the only evidence he has, everything he treasured about Charlie in that brief time together, besides the photos and paintings. He goes to his wife's office to look for the photos he gave her when she said she would go on television...and they were destroyed, in the trash, some remains of paintings on the fireplace.
His wife lied to him.

Hello! I have a question for you: what happens if we mix Snow White + Tangled in an AU (+ only one hour of sleep, a lot of coffee and chocolate cake). Well you get this.
Snow White + Tangled AU (or something like that)
When Charlie was born, Lilith felt very insecure because of all the attention she was receiving from Lucifer, plus she never liked feeling vulnerable and under the command of another, and that was what pregnancy and the commitment to having a baby did to her feel.
Lilith contacts Roo/Eve to take Charlie, she doesn't care what she does with her, she just doesn't want her around.
Roo/Eve, although she has many reasons to despise Lilith and Lucifer, has nothing against the girl, but she also does not want to have her around, she thinks about killing her but don't have enough interest to make the effort. Furthermore, even if she did it to make the girl's parents suffer, the fact that they voluntarily handed her over to her misses the whole point (Roo/Eve thinks Lucifer agreed)
Roo/Eve decides to give Charlie to her new favorite toy that arrived in hell a few months ago and has already made a reputation as the Radio Demon.
One day Alastor opens the door of his house and sees a baby in a basket with a note that says "Take care of her", signed by the entity to whom he sold his soul before he died. Thinking that the note means that he must take care of her (the other option was to delete her, Roo didn't care), he raises her as his own daughter.
Alastor does not keep Charlie hidden in a tower, he don't know who the girl is or where she came from, he only knows that her name is Charlie because her name was sewn in her clothes (decorated with a duckling...strange), he simply keeps her somewhat separated from the rest of hell until she is old enough to defend herself, and she even spent her childhood surrounded by children in Cannibal Town, where her Aunt Rosie sometimes took care of her.
When Charlie is old enough to ask where babies come from, Alastor sees no point in hiding the truth from her; he found her in a basket on the doorstep of his house. He doesn't bring it up again because he doesn't see the need to repeat it, and Charlie thinks her dad is joking, but then decides that even if it's true, it makes no difference, he's her dad no matter what.
Years go by and Charlie grows up seeing all the types of sinners that exist, there are those who deserve much worse and there are those who just had bad luck in life. Like her father, she don't believe in redemption, but she does believe that she can improve some lives, having a community like her Aunt Rosie's, focused on the most "innocent" sinners or those who are in a very bad situation. Even her dad is willing to support her, for entertainment purposes, but it's still his support that matters. It is during her search for land to start her idea or some sinners who are interested that she meets Vaggie, but after living with cannibals she knows the smell of blood well, so she realizes that there is something strange about it. When she takes her to her father he confirms her suspicions, Alastor helps her interrogate her and Vaggie confesses that she is a fallen angel. Charlie is disappointed in heaven, not that she idealized it, but she realizes that it is no different from hell. Alastor takes advantage of the situation, demanding that Vaggie swear loyalty to both of them and take care of Charlie when necessary, in exchange, they will take care of her.
When Charlie finds a place to start her idea, everything financed by her, plus the help of her father and her aunt Rosie (they always taught her that she should work for what she wanted, but she is still their child), Charlie finally opens her Safety Hotel (her dad insisted on "Hazbin Hotel", and she can't help but agree that "Safety" sounds kind of silly), and despite the bad experience with the televisions because of her father's ex-friend, she decides to go promote the hotel on a television show, hopefully just once, plus her dad promised to dedicate a section to the hotel on his radio show.
After that interview that went...surprisingly well, she begins to receive some unimportant sinners who have not yet sold their souls, many of them are recent arrivals to hell. Everything seems to be going well...until someone claiming to be the king of hell appears at her door, saying that he saw her on television, he recognized her immediately, says that she is his daughter and that he has been looking for her. Charlie was willing to help this...poor little man, until he decided to act like a jerk and tried to attack his dad while calling him a kidnapper. She told him to come back when he was willing to have a civilized conversation, that violence is prohibited in her territory, and slammed the door in his face. The little man is still hanging around.

Hi! next part of Snow White + Tangled AU (still taking suggestions for a name, I'll probably end up writing a whole fic)
Alastor was losing his patience.
He never really cared about the "King of Hell", but ever since the little man arrived at the doors of Charlie's hotel, it's just been one disappointment after another.
And, of course, he trusts Roo not to give him valuable information! It's always the same with her, she will only give you enough information to work with, only to punish you if she doesn't like the results, or take credit if you somehow end up doing exactly what she wanted.
At least Charlie wasn't a relevant project for her. But it really would have been useful to know her origins, he could have gotten a lot out of that information. Anyway, it's not that that's important now, he's not going to be bitter about it. After all, so far the results of his decision have been satisfactory.
Honestly, there was a time when he thought Roo could be Charlie's mother, but he ruled it out as time went by. It's a relief, motherhood isn't for everyone, and Roo definitely shouldn't be on that list...just like Queen Lilith apparently.
The first time he saw the king was interesting, he tried to attack him as soon as he saw him after a brief conversation with Charlie. It was so fun to see his daughter putting the little man in his place. But then she explained who she had just kicked out of the hotel and it was just disappointment after disappointment.
In their second meeting, the king was no longer going directly to try to kill him, but that did not make him any less calm. He just kept accusing him of Charlie's kidnapping, which is fair, the king doesn't have to believe him and he doesn't have to justify himself.
He suggested to Charlie that, when the king returned with the supposed evidence he had gone to look for, it should be just her and the king. Charlie was just worried that this situation would change something between them, but he dismissed it, nothing has to change.
From that moment on, Alastor's patience has been tested. The king turned out to be like all the rich men of his time, buying people with trinkets, trying to dazzle everyone with their wealth and power, pampering their legitimate children and only throwing a few coins to their bastards if they remembered that they had.
Alastor has kept his distance. Not only does he want to respect Charlie's limits and her possible relationship with her biological father, he also wants to show her that, unlike the king, he can behave like an adult in this situation. On the other hand, the king, every time he sees him, has to make a conscious effort not to attack him either physically or verbally, and that makes Charlie nervous, which amuses Alastor a little, but mostly makes him uncomfortable. He knows that this whole situation makes Charlie tense, and the little king is not helping with his childish attitude (according to his height, honestly).
What ended his calm was seeing how the little king simply seemed to lose his patience just a couple of months later, dismissing Charlie's ideas and trying to take her away. Simply telling her that her whole idea of a charity hotel would be counterproductive because sinners would only take advantage of her, and anyway, it's not like sinners deserve better, they do horrible things after all, like kidnapping innocent babies and taking them away from them families.
And Alastor simply had enough. He doesn't really care what the king thinks of him, he doesn't want to meet him, and the feeling really is mutual at this point, but after all that talk, saying how much he missed his daughter, he hoped the king would take the time to meet to Charlie instead of just pretending like nothing had happened. As if Charlie had not spent almost 100 years, all of her life, living with sinners, as if she had not spent her entire life learning from him and from those who have surrounded her until now.
The king is not entirely wrong, many of those in hell deserve to be there, it is supposed to be punishment for their decisions, in fact, there are those who deserve worse, but he cannot just so easily dismiss the ideals that Charlie formed by seeing sinners up close.
And, of course, he is not a good person, he has never pretended otherwise. In fact, if he had found any other sinner the day he found Charlie, he would have put them in an oven with the same ease that he put Charlie in her crib every night. If he had found any other sinners, he would have boiled them in a saucepan with the same ease with which he put Charlie in the bathtub when she needed a bath. With any other sinner, he would have written a recipe book as easily as he wrote children's stories he remembered so he would have something suitable to read to Charlie. But the truth is that it was not just any other sinner, it was Charlie, a baby that he decided to take care of with the memories of his mother always in mind. The one he found in a basket was a baby, whom he accompanied, stayed by her side, held her when she screamed and cried because of a nightmare or a minor injury. Whom he educated and guided, who he encouraged to make her own decisions, who he taught how to be respected. Who he took to his friend Rosie to make sure she always had a safe place to go. Whom he watched from afar when she played with other children in the Cannibal Town square. Whom he saw grow up while being just as feared and respected as him by her own means. Who tried to defend him when someone who was his friend for 30 years betrayed him and tried to attack her, which immediately ended their friendship.
It is when he feels the presence of his daughter, hugging him from behind, that he realizes that he said all that out loud. It is when he realizes that the king is there, looking at him with a look that reveals confusion, surprise and horror. The king has not moved from his place next to the portal he opened when he tried to take Charlie, but he notices that he is shaking, while he seems to think of something to say.
Alastor sighs, regains his composure as he walks away from Charlie and approaches the king, and with a snap of his fingers he makes two thick books appear. They are copies of a photo album and a scrapbook. He also makes the basket in which Charlie came into his life appear, with the blanket and clothes included. He gives everything to the king and is firm when he tells him to take the time to get to know Charlie, to stop being a king (if he ever was one), to stop being a wallet and start being a father if it's what he really wants.
The king leaves without saying a word, with all the items held firmly in his arms. If among the pages of the books the king finds the note that told Alastor to take care of the baby, with a characteristic signature, well...no one can refute that Alastor could have simply forgotten that it was there.
Two weeks pass, and Alastor feels a chill down his spine, a chill that is supposed to be a caress, supposed to be a reward for a job well done. He's confused, but at least it didn't backfire on him.
A month passes for the king to appear again. He literally just appeared in Alastor's room, looking haggard, exhausted. Alastor supposes that he can let the impertinence slide just for the pleasure that such a pitiful image brings him.
"Can you tell me about my d...can you tell me about Charlie? Please?"

Thinking about Lucifer and intrusive thoughts. As another anon pointed out, Lucifer is pretty possessive in canon. He picked a fight with a man he just met for the crime of being decent to his daughter when he was AWOL. But he never allowed himself to process those feelings- he was afraid of repeating Adam's mistakes with Lilith, he never wanted to scare off someone he loved.
That's why when he starts feeling those things towards the people in the hotel, he shuts himself off, he's terrified of stifling or pressuring them due to his power and status. It takes the staff's combined efforts- some brutally honest psychoanalysis from Alastor, goading from Angel and Vaggie, the offer of a strong drink from Husk, and unconditional love and reassurance from Charlie, to get it into his head that he isn't awful for feeling the things he does, and that they can work through it together. That's what the hotel is for, even if he's not going to Heaven anytime soon.
He gradually gains more self-confidence, and sometimes he'll emphasize how Vaggie his practically his "second daughter," or how Angel's his favorite actor (he's never seen a single flick of his, but it's the thought that counts.) He'll bring in the occasional exotic bug for Niffty to chase and lift her into the air on his wings, much to Alastor's chagrin. He'll perch on Alastor in various animal forms during errands and a single Overlord meeting (the look on the Vees' faces was priceless), or gift Husk with drinks from other rings.
Between his daughter and the strange, slightly murderous family she's found for them both, he has more than enough love to give.

Where Betty dislikes Lucifer and tolerates Charlie, she actually adores Vaggie. Nobody expected it, but whenever she isn't following Alastor around, she's following Vaggie. One day a group of sinners were messing with Vaggie because of her past as an exorcist whe out of nowhere a giant alligator is dragging herself from the outdoor enclosure Charlie had installed so Betty can enjoy swimming without having to be dragged up several flights of stairs to Alastor's swamp (alastor put a portal to their room in it so she can come and go as she pleases) and charging the sinners

No matter how many followers Vark gets Betty will always have 1 more. Vark gets 1 follower Betty has 1 more. Vark gets 1000 followers. Betty gets 1000. The worst part is that despite owning the website Vox can't shut down this account everytime he tries he crashes.
Meanwhile Velvette is having the time of her life with the bribes that Alastor keeps giving her.

(Gater girl Alastor AU)
Betty the Pet Ferry
She's figured out that she gets treats for letting the other pets, as well as the small humanoids, at the Hotel ride on her back to get to places.
Fat Nuggets and Niffty are the ones most commonly found riding her, but KeeKee will nap on her back, the last of the Egg Boiz will sometimes find himself on her head, and Razzle likes to sit on her when she's following Vaggie around.
Everyone at the Hotel is more than willing to give Betty some gater-friendly treats in order to encourage her to refrain from eating their pets and small friends.

Head-canon: One of (several) things Alastor struggles with when he starts dating Lucifer is the power difference. Sure, the Radio Demon is a powerful overlord, but Lucifer is THE Fallen Angel, King of Hell, Devil from the Bible. So, when anyone sees them together, Alastor looks like the weak one just by comparison. He is NOT happy if Lucifer tries to protect him when there鈥檚 danger; he can handle things himself, damn it! He is in no way or form weak or vulnerable!
There鈥檙e people now that are terrified of him NOT because he鈥檚 the Radio Demon, but because he鈥檚 dating the devil. On at least one occasion, someone has backed away from a fight not because ALASTOR was intimidating, but because they worried that messing with The Devil鈥檚 Partner would make LUCIFER come after them.
Sure, it can be useful, but damn it, it pisses Alastor off.
