Well... just found out that my mother, who ABANDONED ME at Darkley's ever since I was 4, works at the NInjago Museum all along. Huh. Anyways, 'Destiny's Bounty' won't update itself!! Hope you guys enjoy this chapter ^^

Going on a trip, won't have wifi there, so this might be the last chapter in... a while. Hopefully everything goes fine!

Thinking about how the roof color of the monastery has changed over time, it reminds me of rusting metal

I think in DR its represents the passage of time because there are a lot of other elements about the DR monastery that makes it look overgrown. The grass growing everywhere and the gate color fading are some other examples

Another way to show that a lot of time has passed between crystalized and the start of DR. Even though Lloyd has stayed in the exact same spot for 5-10 years and has constantly tried to keep the monastery tidy, it too is not immune to the passage of time or the drastically changing world

Ship of Theseus monastery edition where Lloyd tries and fails to “stops time” and prevent his little world, the monastery, from becoming unrecognizable just as all of ninjago has become

DR writers went “Hey! This is still your beloved show but things are a bit different now” with the monastery and im bonkers

Dragons Rising is too dangerous for us, cause now the writers have proved they care about their characters. Pixal still existing, Kai having screen time again, and finally acknowledging Lloyd is the grandson of God? This is too much power. One has not ever dared get their hopes up in Ninjago, not for anything.

And they're gonna be the death of me specifically, because now the chances that they'll acknowledge Lloyd's dragon heritage aren't at zero anymore.

so. the fsm had two kids. one's colour was purple n the other was gold/yellow

lloyd technically adopted two kids. one's colour is pink and the other is also gold/yellow

doodles that vaguely resemble scenes from Eva. The alt concept of Brown-Haired Child Variant! Lloyd is really funny to me.

this one goes out to the Anon who wanted to see what the Wuyutsuki design looked like. it's still a bit of a work in progress lol

LORE! I'm a big fan of writers using letters and official documents and stuff as a way to tell stories. It's just a backstory for Lloyd, but I tried to write it in the most dry, shady, and bureaucratic way possible. Basically Lloyd's a very angst ridden child in this au, and the Darnagom Institute Report (sub in for the Marduk from Eva. in Ninjago, it's the fake company Garm made in s2) sums up his life before the story starts. Of course there's some stuff redacted bc shady government organization. Oh and the notes and stains were made by Cole.

HOWEVER #the consistent inconsistency the serialized adventures that tell super interesting stories but regularly contradict #each other and retcon half the original canon #the writers constantly trying to recreate the original status quo but just fucking it up even more…#i understand where people are coming from but the writers are EXTREMELY american. these are late 70s kids who grew up with the peak of #the american comic industry. lloyd’s a comic book character #the hagemans specifically pointed to their childhood storytelling with their action figures as influencing how they wrote the show and it #shows.#this isn’t like a callout or anything avshdjd #it’s just interesting to me. as someone who’s been collecting that era of comics (right around when the big 2 were rolling out secret wars #and crisis on infinite earths and finally making superhero stories coherent #it’s very clear how this is the kind of media they were exposed to and internalized #ninjago is very reflective of the storytelling strategies of late 80s and early 90s comics and that’s cool.#*especially later seasons of ninjago

I've decided the only reason Lloyd, known descendant of dragons, didn't tell this to Egalt, who refuses to train non-dragons, is for the same reason he never mentioned he's the First Spinjitsu Master's grandson. It just never came up. Nobody asked him directly about it. And besides, he's only like, one-fourth dragon, so does it really count? He doesn't look like a dragon, and he has never in his life considered himself a dragon. Mentioning his ancestry to Egalt probably would've just made him look like some hotshot, or make him more annoyed. There's no need to bring up such a silly little fact. He's sure it won't be important later.

Personal hc is that the tomorrow´s tea incident was actually necesary to give lloyd a power boost in time for the "final battle", also that he´d have aged slower otherwise (due to semi long lifespan), so this was always the only way for things to go and come out on top (also why no one ever tried to revert it).
