Anyway I have put a lot of thought into this and the way I would fix Gideon is by slowly giving her tasks and praising her for each one but gradually the tasks become like "speak to someone you like" and "do something you enjoy for its own sake" and after a while of speaking to people who she's friends with we would move on to "do you think your friends would be happy to see you treated this way" and introduce the concept that people enjoy her personality not just what she can do and THEN we can introduce the concept that she might want to do things just because she wants them and she can decide for herself how she wants to spend her time. and then I will kill everyone who was mean to her.

Thinking about how last night, at 1 AM, my sister (who isn’t into Ace Attorney) and I were at ihop, and I was very tired and my ADHD meds wore off hours before, so I was rambling about Ace Attorney and trying to explain to her why I don’t believe Gregory Edgeworth was 5’9. I was trying to tell her that, at least in my head, he was 6 feet tall.
And she goes “You say he’s 6 feet? Yeah, 6 feet underground” and I didn’t know how to respond

It’s Saturday afternoon, and you’re supposed to be taking a nap.
“Sugu –” you let out a pitiful squeak that disappears in the black silk of his hair, “really –”
Suguru hums against your neck. “Just a minute,” he mumbles sweetly.
You’re in bed, all right. Unfortunately, that’s as far as the two of you have gotten to sleeping, as your boyfriend decided not five seconds later to crawl on top of you in an attempt at seduction.
(It’s working.)
“You taste good,” he continues, one large hand caressing your hip while the other flirts up your arm. His tongue laves the juncture of your neck and your jaw, the weight of his body keeping you in place as you squirm. “Way better than a curse.”
“Well, maybe your taste buds are fried,” you force out.
A sharp nip to your skin has your hands flying up to his shoulders. He grins, fox-like in your grasp.
“Mm, I don’t think so. I definitely tasted burnt garlic in your fried rice today.”
Your knees squeeze his waist in warning. “Watch it.”
“Sorry,” he appeases. “It was still good.”
Finally, Suguru lifts his face to nose at your cheek, pressing a kiss there before planting one where it's most needed. You let your eyes flutter shut, thoughts erupting into butterflies and muscles locking in bliss when his teeth scrape your bottom lip.
He seizes the opportunity to lick into your mouth. Suguru groans underneath his breath, and the sound rings in your ears and sends a toe-curling heat straight to your gut.
“Fuck.”
His hands delve underneath your shirt. Your fingers dig into his shoulders.
And then just like that, he stops.
Chest heaving against yours, he draws away, stares down at you with eyes blacker than night as the sun shines in through the curtains.
You stare back, quivering.
He smiles and tilts his head. “Wait,” he says. “You wanted to take a nap, didn’t you?”
You hate the way you crumble.
“If you don’t finish what you started, I’m leaving you,” you breathe.
“As if.”
His reply is so sure, so matter-of-fact, that you’re almost insulted. But then he dives back in and traces patterns along your ribs and whispers your name so reverently that your misgivings quickly dissolve to nothing.
“Don’t worry, baby, you’ll sleep like the dead after we’re done.”
