You know your an old Ninjago fan when you remember...
When the original 4 ninja had to use the golden weapons to use their elements
When Nya was "just Kai's sister"
Thought Lloyd was just the silly villian of the week
When finding out Zane is a nindroid was a big twist
When everyone thought Kai was going to be the green ninja
⬆and Lloyd being the green ninja was a major twist
When you thought Zane's death was permanent
When the serpentine were villains
Jaya wasn't canon
When Wu went by "Sensei" instead of "Master"
When Cole did the Triple Tiger Sashay for the first time
When the Overload was their toughest enemy
Zane's funny switch
When Lloyd had a bowl cut
When Garmadon wasn't a deadbeat dad

✨Small Canon Things in Ninjago That Aren’t Necessarily Important to the Plot, but Important to Me Pt 2✨
(in honor of the first post reaching 2.5k notes)
1. the reason the ninja can’t summon their elemental dragons anymore is bc they’re too traumatized
2. Kai takes laxatives
3. Lloyd felt responsible for Nya’s sacrifice
4. Morro took a shot while he was in Lloyd’s body
5. Cole’s favorite color is orange
6. Chamille, the master of form, is a “bad girl” post s4
7. the ninja were literal children when they waltzed into Chen’s tournament and proceeded to beat all the adult EMs in the competition
8. prior to seabound, Nya resented her parents for not being there in her childhood, her mother more so than her father (✨mommy issues✨)
9. Nya is hyper-independent as a result of her childhood; while Kai is more openly accepting to his parents because he has a better memory of them
10. Wu was close enough with Lilly that he could remember whether or not she wore a necklace
11. Cliff Gordon was a “womanizer”
12. Lloyd didn’t naturally hit puberty until s8
13. Cole and Jay are best friends
14. whether or not you see Pixane as a bf/gf situation in canon, they are canonically soulmates
15. Jay has not yet received his inheritance letter
16. at least up until the Merge, Zane’s statue is still in downtown Ninjago City
17. ninjago citizens are fully aware their only protection are six super-powered teens/young adults
18. the ninja are still famous, public figures
19. Jay is the only ninja who hasn’t died (yet)
20. despite being a terrible actor, Lloyd is always sent on the undercover missions
21. the ninja are on first name basis with each others parents
22. Cole’s favorite genre of music is soft rock
23. Zane has selective memory
24. after Nya’s sacrifice, each ninja depicted a different stage of grief (Zane-Denial, Kai-Anger, Lloyd-Depression, Jay-Bargaining, and Cole-Acceptance)
25. Cole never actually had feelings for Nya, he was just flattered by the attention and petty about Jay being mad at him
26. elements react based on the master’s emotions
27. Jay is so emotionally dependent on being around other people that he loses his mind when he’s alone for too long
28. Lloyd had a chat with god and wasn’t impressed
29. Cole’s snoring can be heard throughout the monastery
30. Nya is not a morning person
31. Kai and Skylor have been in a situationship since s4
32. Lloyd being the grandson of god is not common knowledge
33. the group of civilians that were on the bounty when Cole fell are probably the only ones who truly realize the danger the ninja put themselves in on the regular to protect the city, and how close they are with each other
34. Wu didn’t want to tell the ninja about the green ninja prophecy because he was afraid of having a repeat of Morro
35. since s8 at the very least, the ninja all shared a room on the bounty until the monastery was rebuilt
36. Jay’s confidence in his own abilities fully depends on what others believe he’s capable of
37. several villains have called the ninja out on being “just a bunch of kids,” and then proceeded to get their shit rocked by said kids
38. the overlord can gloat to Lloyd all he wants to in crystallized, but fact of the matter is Lloyd defeated him when he was like twelve
39. Kai and Nya raised and took care of each other, it wasn’t just Kai doing all of the work
40. Kai is two years older than Nya
41. Zane’s biggest fear is losing his humanity
42. Lloyd’s biggest fear is becoming his father
43. Nya’s biggest fear is losing her individuality
44. Cole’s biggest fear is letting his family down
45. we the audience are the only ones who see the characters as legos; they’re real people in-universe
46. Kai likes spicy food
47. while elemental masters are immune to their elements to some extent, their elements can also be shown to hurt them in some circumstances
and as always, feel free to add on!!

could you please tell us more about why you think chris would freak out? 😊
Okay, I have been thinking this since 4x08 with Chris freaking out about the idea of Eddie dating in general. But the bottom line is, Chris has a delicious shade of abandonment issues. Eddie wasn't there when he was a baby, Shannon left, and then she died, his grandparents were as constant in his life as his mother and now he only sees them every once in a while, Isabel was constant in LA but she's back in Texas now, you can even make an argument that he felt left by Buck during the lawsuit, because while I do think Eddie was hiding behind Chris to say he missed Buck, Chris was attached enough to Buck to feel the fact that Buck suddenly disappeared a for a while (I like to believe Buck showed up at the house with a pile of legos and a bear like the one they won before the tsunami after, but, well, from a kid's perspective as month is a year, it might've been enough to create something there anyway), especially with everything that had happened to Christopher that year, Shannon dying, the tsunami, Chris worrying about Eddie's state of mind, Chris was at the barbecue and we have no idea what he saw or didn't see about Buck throwing up blood, so he had enough traumatic experiences in quick succession to do something to his brain before he was even 10. We also have a layer to play with if the show decides to go there, but the long-term effects of lockdown on a child were a lot more intense than in someone with a fully developed brain because their lives shut down and they didn't have the tools to deal with it and a child needs the interaction with other people and they were not getting that, and if adults struggled with it, imagine how a 10 yo with a first responder parent who couldn't stay with him felt, ykwim? We see that manifesting in season 4, Chris is scared that dating means leaving, he thinks that Eddie bringing someone into their lives just means someone else who will leave him. And we saw at the beginning of the season that he still believes that to be true. He has that moment of it's okay to play around because it doesn't matter if they love you, they will leave anyway. Chris most likely doesn't remember most of life in Texas with Shannon, and even when he's old enough to understand the circumstances around Shannon leaving, it will still have scarred him forever. And that kid has lived through one parent dying, the other in a hospital when he wasn't allowed to visit due to covid, and a constant safe adult he literally saw in a hospital bed. It doesn't matter if the show ever states Buck in a parental position for Chris before he becomes "stepdad Buck", Buck is one of the two safe adults Chris runs to in a crisis, exemplified by the way even though he's being raised by two first responders, his instinct when Eddie had his breakdown was not to call 911, it was to call Buck. We have enough to speculate that yes, Chris sees Buck as a parent in some degree, but we do know for a fact that Buck is an adult Chris trusts.
So, we have Chris with the mother of all abandonment issues of the show, which is saying something considering who he's up against, we have Eddie and Buck being the two constants when it comes to adults, and just the general concept of safety that he has had in the past few years, so Eddie and Buck are the two people Chris is scared the most to lose, Eddie for obvious reasons, and we see that reflected with Buck with him forcing Eddie and Carla to let him visit him so he can beg Buck to come back. But Chris is also watching both Eddie and Buck FUMBLE through romantic relationships. Like, they are BAD at romantic relationships, and, like, even Taylor was brought into Chris' life and then vanished, I'm not saying he got particularly attached to Taylor, but she was in his house, she lived with Buck, for an 11 yo that's as serious as it's gonna get, and then that ended too. So what Chris is picking up here is that romantic love means people leaving. Like, that was literally the conclusion he reached on his own when it came to dating. He understands that Shannon loved them and that there was love between Eddie and Shannon, but he only thought about the way she left that love. We also have everything about Marisol. Everything about her is about babysitting Chris, so he has a decent relationship with her, and she was moving in. I doubt that Chris didn't know that, but that's another development that got canceled and we know Marisol is not here to stay, so yet another relationship Eddie completely fumbled.
So take all that and put it next to the idea of Eddie and Buck becoming a couple. We know buddie is endgame. We outsiders with all the information watching as all-seeing gods waiting for them to just get their shit together know that when they get together, there's no separating them, that's it. Chris doesn't know that. He knows he loves Eddie. He knows he loves Buck. He knows none of them ever managed to make a romantic relationship work. And he thinks that romantic love means leaving. So Eddie and Buck dating means losing Buck. The only conclusion Chris is gonna reach here is "Buck is gonna leave" so he's gonna freak out. He's a teenager. Half of being that age is feeling things too intensely and the other half is reacting as intensely. He reacted like that to the idea of Ana and it wasn't even about someone he knew yet. Chris having The Tamtrun about Eddie dating someone he loves makes perfect sense. Because Chris doesn't know what a successful relationship looks like, sure, there are his grandparents, but he's not around them enough, and even then his grandfather travels a lot for work anyway so what would he have seen when he was kid, and a kid learns love from their parents. Eddie and Shannon were a disaster from Chris pov. They loved each other but she still left, so what does it take for a relationship to work? Because isn't it the thing we teach kids with fairytales and stuff? That love conquers it all? But he understands enough to know that's not true. Chris may know Buck and Eddie love each other in some degree, the same way he knows he loves Buck, and the same way he knows Buck loves him, but the instinct there would be to fight the change in their relationship because he doesn't want Buck to leave. If everyone Eddie or Buck dated disappeared from his life, what's stopping Buck from leaving him if they break up? Most likely scenario is that he would get big mad at Buck because the change in the dynamic will trigger his abandonment issues, and he's 13, so he's not gonna be rational about it. And that would create some interesting tension in the way that when Chris is mad at his parents, he opens up to Buck, if he's mad at Eddie and Buck, who is he gonna open up to? This is absolutely the type of thing that would make their dynamic stronger in the long run, but it would take a minute for Chris to get to the point where he's ready to talk about the fact that he's scared of the change, it would even take him a minute to probably get to that conclusion himself, because again, the horrors of being 13 are real. Chris himself might struggle to figure out why does the idea make him mad. And Buck and Eddie can't reassure him if they don't know what's wrong. They can't promise they won't break up either. So how do they navigate that?
Because Chris is the priority, they would never do anything that would hurt Chris intentionally, but I also think they would be like "I don't want to break up because he's mad" because that would be proving Chris' fear that they won't stay together right. And I kinda think this is the only route they can go with Chris' reaction because this isn't some "my divorced parents are getting back together" situation, Chris has no reason to hope for Buck and Eddie to get together, so I don't see how he would've already processed that. Sure, if they had gotten together when Chris was 10, he probably would've been a lot more chill about it, but Chris as a teenager? He's gonna freak out. That's literally the only logical conclusion here. And considering the beginning of the season, and the way he was handling dating, AND the way he opened up about it to Buck, all the pieces for that to happen are on the table. Buck has a relationship with Chris outside of Eddie, and obviously, Buck and Eddie are, yk, *motions vaguely* but actually getting Buck and Eddie together would add tension to the existing dynamic between the 3 of them. And it is a way to add conflict to buddie without adding the idea that they don't love each other or don't know how to handle the switch or might not be good at being a couple, because navigating this situation would just prove how solid they are. It's all there. The question is if they are gonna go for it or not.

ranking the lego ninjago ninjas based on how likely they are to be a age regressor
lloyd: 100% he was literally magically aged up like 7 years. he goes through so much shit and hes still mentally 11. someone get this guy some toys
kai: 99% this is basically canon based on how he was immediately able to be vulnerable and kiddy around his parents when they were finally able to spend time with him. he had to raise his little sister basically all by himself after his parents went MIA and didnt have the chance to have a proper childhood which is the perfect cocktail for becoming an age regressor. he wears gaming diapers
jay: 80% he had a pretty good childhood, but is autistic. also he just has the vibes
cole: 60% i feel like he wouldnt be interested in it but he could benefit from participating in it with his ninja bros. i feel like he is more of a CG
nya: 40% traumatized but very stubborn and hard on herself. tries to be as mature as humanly possible and ends up not realizing how immature she is in the process. would be too embarrassed to do any of that kiddy stuff and would rather get into a coping mechanism that involves punching things and/or talking to her mom.
zane: 20% he is a robot and struggles enough with being human, and doesnt need to be pressured to fully understand something as deeply nuanced as age regression. but- he loves being silly and having fun and for sure would play toys with them. insanely efficient CG
pixal: 10% the only coping mechanism she will ever need is building giant robots

Idk about tlm universe, but in the spinoff show Unikitty! I'm pretty sure she's canonically 11, so ¯\_(.-.)_/¯
Yeah, personally I treat the Unikitty! verse as completely separate to the tlm canon. In my opinion tlm Unikitty acts a lot differently to her show counterpart.
In the first lego movie when we first met Unikitty, she seems super stressed, and like I mentioned in the post, traumatized. I got the vibes that she became known for her positivity very early on. Like, before she was a ruler, she became known for that and that's why she became the princess, or when she became princess she only ever let herself be seen in the public eye as positive. Over the years the responsibility of leadership in a place where There Are No Rules really began to wear on her: they had no way of handling any issues that came up, there were no rules. Wrongdoing was all subjective, it's whatever was caused by "unhappy thoughts", but how do you prove that? Odds are they don't even have a judicial system there, if there are No Rules.
In any case, in her years of ruling, she realized that everyone was counting on her to be Possivive Princess Unikitty. And if she was ever anything else, surely she was letting them down. So her positive persona became everything, it was her respondibility, and her crutch for any negative emotions she felt. Just Stay Positive became her mantra.
Since the lego movie came our so much earlier than the Unikitty! show, and the lego movie timeline appears to follow our real-world timeline (based on the five real-life year gap between movies 1 and 2 and the 5 year time skip in the movie), Unikitty! was quite possibly an exclusive collectors item of an up-and-coming lego idea that Finn's dad snatchrd up for her value. The Unikitty figure Finn's dad owns existed before the show, and thus her personality and timeline in Finn's universe doesn't have anything to do with the show.
But later on, once the Unikitty! show comes out in the universe, Bianca clearly loves it (she has a Unikitty! show-style plush and Unikitty's Unikingdom castle after all) and owns merch. That's how we see the Unikingdom and Puppycorn since Bianca owns them, and probably her own Unikitty(s) as well, but they're not conducive to TLM Unikitty's timeline. They're something TLM Unikitty learns about after the fact, after she already had her own story.
But that's just my own thoughts on the matter! It's just fine if anyone wants to think of the two Unikittys as the same, I just don't personally.

The Conjuring 2’s Enfield Case: A True Story That Still Haunts Us Today
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
Lorraine Warren has seen true evil at the start of The Conjuring 2 and wants to call it quits — at least for a while — but when the Hodgson family finds itself under siege by a terrible haunting, the paranormal investigators have no choice but to help. Set in the late ’70s in the London Borough of Enfield, The Conjuring 2 ticks off many of the same boxes as the original: haunted house, demonic possession, and a relentless pace full of jump scares that doesn’t let up until the Warrens are back in their spooky museum, locking away their latest ghostly trinket just before the credits roll.
And like the first movie, which is based on the real-life investigations of demonologist Ed Warren and the clairvoyant Lorraine, The Conjuring 2 is heavily inspired by a true story, one that captured the attention of British tabloids — and even the BBC — just as Jay Anson’s The Amityville Horror was hitting bookshelves. The film nods to Amityville, the Warrens’ most famous case, in its opening scene, and later ties it to Enfield through the recurring “Nun” demon Valak.
But there was no demon in the real Enfield case but a poltergeist, a malicious spirit that haunts people through physical disturbances such as shuffling things around a room, levitating its victims, or banging on doors at night. And in the film, the Warrens, who tag along with British paranormal investigators Maurice Grosse and Anita Gregory, do suspect a troublesome spirit before the third act reveal that there’s actually something demonic behind the creepy ghost of Bill Wilkins.
The real-life Hodgson family began experiencing poltergeist activity in their Enfield home in 1977. At first, Peggy, a single mother of four, didn’t believe her daughters Janet, 11, and Margaret, 12, when they told her the chest of drawers in their bedroom was moving on its own. But when the chest slammed against the door, locking Peggy out of the girls’ room and forcing her to run to her neighbors for help, she was convinced.
Peggy called the police, and like in the movie, a constable reported that “a large armchair moved, unassisted, 4 ft across the floor,” according to the Daily Mail. The police officers’ quick exit from the house is played for laughs in the film, but a terrified Peggy Hodgson probably wasn’t laughing at all.
The disturbances only got worse from there. The Hodgsons reportedly suffered all manner of strange happenings in the house for the next 18 months, including furniture being overturned, toys being thrown, banging noises, writing appearing on the walls, and even levitating children. In 2012, Janet told iTV (via People) that cups would inexplicably fill with water, things would randomly burst into flame, and that disembodied voices would speak to them, too.
According to Janet, “The most frightening [encounter] was when a curtain wrapped itself around my neck next to my bed.”
Peggy eventually turned to the press for help, reaching out to the Daily Mirror. The tabloid sent a photographer, Graham Morris, to the house to capture the hauntings, and that’s when all hell broke loose. The Enfield case might be one of the best documented paranormal cases in history, thanks to Morris’ disturbing pictures of his visit to the Hodgson house.
Among these images is a photo of Janet being tossed across her bedroom by the poltergeist while her sister Margaret watches in horror. As you might suspect if you’ve watched The Conjuring 2, it’s very possible that the picture is staged, Janet leaping off her bed and onto the floor, but we can only go by Morris’ account here, and he seemed convinced.
“It was chaos, things started flying around, people were screaming,” Morris said of his visit, according to the Daily Mail.
The Daily Mirror and the Hodgsons next called the paranormal investigators of the Society of Psychical Research, including Maurice Grosse and Anita Gregory, along with Guy Lyon Playfair, who isn’t depicted in the movie.
“When I first got there, nothing happened for a while. Then I experienced Lego pieces flying across the room, and marbles, and the extraordinary thing was, when you picked them up they were hot,” Grosse told writer Will Storr about the first days of his investigation (via the Daily Mail). “I was standing in the kitchen and a T-shirt leapt off the table and flew into the other side of the room while I was standing by it.”
Then the poltergeist decided to speak.
As in the movie, the ghost of Bill Wilkins reached out to the investigators through Janet, a raspy voice emanating from the little girl while her “lips hardly seemed to be moving.” The spirit told Grosse and Playfair that it had died of a hemorrhage in the living room. Investigators later confirmed with Wilkins’ son that a man by that name had indeed died in the house many years before, according to Daily Mail.
In the video below, you can hear Wilkins’ supposed voice for yourself:
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
There were skeptics from the start, of course, and the debate around the Enfield case continues today. Even Playfair observed in his case notes that Wilkins generally “refused to speak unless the girls were alone in the room with the door closed” and that the Hodgson children were “motivated to add to the activity with some tricks of their own.” Playfair wrote that when Janet knew cameras were on, nothing seemed to happen. But Grosse and Playfair were believers.
Anita Gregory concluded that the case was overrated, and many skeptics accused the Hodgson family of making up the haunting for fame or financial gain. At different points, the investigators caught the girls bending spoons themselves and banging on ceilings with broom handles. Like in the movie, catching the girls in the act seemed to be enough for Gregory and others to close the case.
In 1980, Janet admitted to iTV (via Daily Mail): “Oh yeah, once or twice [we faked phenomena], just to see if Mr. Grosse and Mr. Playfair would catch us. They always did.” Just ahead of the movie’s release, Janet told Daily Mail that only “two percent” of the occurrences were faked.
But what about the other 98 percent? Many other investigators outside of the SPR visited the Hodgson house in those 18 months, including the Warrens. While Ed and Lorraine didn’t have to save the kids from any demonic nuns in real life, whatever they did see while at the house seemed to convince them that supernatural forces were indeed at work.
“Those who deal with the supernatural day in and day out know the phenomena are there – there’s no doubt about it,” Ed said of the Hodgson case, according to People.
Meanwhile, a magician named Milbourne Christopher dropped by to check things out, and said the activity was the work of “a little girl who wanted to cause trouble and who was very, very clever.” Ray Alan, a ventriloquist, said Janet was playing tricks with Bill’s voice because she enjoyed the attention.
By 1979, the tabloids had moved on from the Hodgsons, while the experts couldn’t agree on a logical explanation. Despite the movie’s happy ending, the real-life case was never truly closed. Janet told Daily Mail in 2015 that things began to “quiet down” in the fall of 1978 when a priest visited the house. But the next family that moved in reported strange incidents too, including hearing voices downstairs and encountering a man walking into rooms. They only lived in the house for two months, according to Daily Mail.
Years later, Janet called the events she lived through in that house traumatic, revealing she had a “short spell” at a psychiatric hospital and that she was bullied at school, where her classmates called her “Ghost Girl.” She told Daily Mail that her mother also had a nervous breakdown. It’s not surprising, then, that Janet “wasn’t very happy to hear about the film” being made about the Enfield case, as it dug up old memories she’d hoped to leave behind when she moved out of the house at age 16.
But The Conjuring 2 wasn’t the first to dramatize the events of the Enfield case. The BBC’s controversial 1992 mockumentary Ghostwatch took a rather different approach. Disguised as a special live investigation of a haunted house on Halloween night, the 90-minute program was hosted by real-life broadcaster Michael Parkinson and featured several other TV presenters to lend it an air of credibility. The mockumentary even had a call-in number viewers could dial into to share their own ghost stories.
While the reporters are highly skeptical of the hauntings at first, strange things begin to happen that become more difficult to explain as the film progresses, and Ghostwatch crescendos when the reporters and their paranormal expert realize they’ve fallen prey to a very real poltergeist. The terrifying final scene of the film proved so controversial that the BBC received thousands of complaints after the airing as well as calls from frightened viewers who thought the program was real. The BBC never aired Ghostwatch again, although you can now find it on the Internet Archive. Today, the film is considered a cult classic among horror enthusiasts.
But in the end, The Conjuring 2 and Ghostwatch are just two more chapters in a story that continues to fascinate believers and skeptics alike more than 40 years later. And despite the many attempts to investigate the case or dramatize it, no one but the Hodgsons will ever know what truly happened inside that house in Enfield.

Dana’s Headcanons
Trigger Warnings Apply
Headcanon #1
Dana really doesn’t like fire. The child has been scared of fire for a long time because she once saw a house burned to the ground by an accidental fire. Because of this Dana only has a few Fire Types. While they smell nice, Dana refuses to allow her mother to bring candles into the house. Dana fears the house will burn down so she cries and throws a tantrum when her mother attempts to bring a candle into the house. The only fire Dana seems okay with is the little fire coming out of a lighter. Other than that she can’t go near campfires without either fainting or crying.
Headcanon #2
Dana almost drowned when she was three years old. When Dana was three she wandered away from her parents when they were shopping at the supermarket. She was only gone for a second but in that second she fell into a river which had a strong tide. Dana sunk to the bottom of the river and swallowed a bunch of water. When she was under water she panicked and fainted because of lack of oxygen. Thankfully Dana was pulled out by her mother who had jumped into the river. Upon waking up, Dana threw up water. This traumatized her so much that Dana refused to go near any body of water. Dana still will not go near rivers, but she does like walking around the ocean or the lake. She just doesn’t swim.
Headcanon #3
Dana is on the spectrum. Dana is on the spectrum and has been diagnosed since the age of three. Her mother wanted to make sure Dana got the benefits she needed so Dana was tested for numerous disabilities including ADHD, ADD, and OCD all of which Dana has. Dana’s mother took Dana out of the local school in Akala because it did not have the programs Dana would need to be successful. Dana gets one on one tutoring with a curriculum that benefits her and is easy to follow.
Headcanon #4
Dana is very picky about what she wears. Dana does not like wearing scratchy clothes are anything that would distract her. Elise, Dana’s mother, makes most of Dana’s clothes. Dana used to wear hand-made clothes because at the time her parents were too poor to afford buying their daughter clothes. Dana prefers handmade clothes but will wear factory made clothes if the material isn’t scratchy and if she likes the clothes/designs on the clothes. As for her headband, Dana never takes it off. Not even when she’s asleep. Her Drifloon headband is her favorite, but Dana will wear other headbands as long as she likes them. Her headband is handmade.
Headcanon #5
Dana does not like Spearow or Murkrow. The hearts on Dana’s headband are shiny and it attracts the attention of the two bird Pokemon. These Pokemon attack her frequently in an attempt to take her headband. When Dana is attacked, she attacks back with her Hydreigon.
Headcanon #6
Dana was experimented on by her father. Rick Sanchez, Dana’s father, stole a vial of liquid which would give a human the power of Pokemon. He was kicked out of the scientific community when he left Rocket, but he wanted to be admitted back in so her experimented on his daughter when she was three. The liquid gave her electrokinesis, but she lost her pupils as a result. But the experiment was a failure because Dana was not as powerful as she should have been. Dana can only drain small electronics of their energy and charge batteries.
Headcanon #7
Dana is right handed. Dana can’t write whatsoever with her left hand and she favors the right one for basic tasks. Elise is trying to get her to use her left hand more because it’s getting to the point where Dana is having a hard time carrying things back and forth.
Headcanon #8
Dana doesn't want to go to school. Dana doesn’t have pupils and her mother Elise was afraid the child would get made fun of. Because of this, Elise doesn’t want to put her daughter through school until Dana is comfortable to make that choice by herself. Dana is tutored by a man that comes every other day to teach Dana. Dana is very hard to teach because she can’t sit still for five minutes. Luckily, Dana is an average student and does well in her studies.
Headcanon #9
Dana has an easy time falling asleep. Though she is very hyper, Dana gets tired out easily from strenuous tasks or just running around in general. All Dana’s mom has to do is to let her daughter run around outside before going back inside to collapse on the couch. It’s so easy that Dana often falls asleep at the dinner table or on the couch while she is watching t.v. This is good for Elise who has to deal with Dana’s twin Diana. Diana does not like to fall asleep and often throws tantrums.
Headcanon #10
Both Dana and the writer love the band Sleigh Bells. The guitar in that band is the best sound in the world, according to Dana. The Voidz are a close second, but Dana and the writer share similar music tastes. Songs like Rill Rill, Infinity Guitars, and Demons are Dana’s favorite songs from the Sleigh Bells. Dana seems to like metal and rock music with a bit of hip hop and rap. She has no set genre.
Headcanon #11
Dana loves Kantonian candy. Plum milk flower kiss candy is really good and she loves that kind of candy. Other candies include milk candies, bubblegum, candy corn, honey candy, strawberry candy, and watermelon candy. Dana also enjoys taffy and other chewy candies. Dana’s mother tries not to buy Dana too much candy, but Dana often buys (or steals) her own candy. Dana also really likes caramel.
Headcanon #12
Dana has a twin sister. Dana’s twin sister’s nickname is Diana. Diana for a time was living at Dana’s aunt’s house. But she has since moved back in with Elise and Dana now that Elise has a stable home life for her. Unlike Dana, Diana does go to school and is an average student. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Headcanon #13
Dana loves taking vacations. Dana goes on frequent vacations because she has the means to. By using her Drifloon, she can drift off to faraway places and chill there till she flies back on one of her Pokemon. Though it’s usually to other regions. Being suspended in midair over the ocean is really stressful. That is what makes vacations dangerous. Other than that, it’s just really fun.
Headcanon #14
Dana tries her best to be brave. There are instances where Dana has to run away. But it’s really hard to knock her down without a fight. Dana can and will fight you even if she is smaller than you. This child runs off pure sugary rage. Dana is brave because she believes in herself and she tries her best in those kinds of situations.
Headcanon #15
Dana doesn’t own that many dolls. Dana’s sister, Diana, is more or less into dolls. Dana doesn’t have a lot of dolls because she lacks that want to baby and coddle something that isn’t a Pokemon. Dana is more into video games and Pokemon figurines. She also likes RC cars and marbles. Legos are also fun. Dana actually doesn’t really play with toys unless she’s playing inside. Outside, she uses toy cars and basic sandbox toys. Not to mention kites or skipping stones.
Headcanon #16
Dana doesn’t have any pupils. While she was born with them, an experiment made them disappear so she only has an iris. The iris is blue and Dana can still see. But her eyes have a hard time when it comes to bright lights. Because of this, Dana has to wear special contacts to help her filter light in her eyes. The contacts act as a sort of pupil or like sunglasses that keep the sun from hurting her eyes. Without those contacts, Dana’s eyes will hurt when she’s outside. Sometimes Dana forgets to wear those contacts. If she forgets, she always has sunglasses on her at all times. If she forgets those sunglasses, her eyes could be damaged.
Headcanon #17
Dana can whistle pretty loudly. Dana is able to whistle pretty loudly when she calls her Pokemon. The Pokemon know she is calling them when she whistles. The child has scared numerous people with her ability to whistle. She, of course, finds this really funny and whistles when she feels like messing with a crowd of people in public places. Dana’s mother does not find this funny.
Headcanon #18
Dana doesn’t really use the internet. Dana has a Twitter and Instagram and that’s about it. She uses Spotify and YouTube for music. Dana doesn’t spend more than an hour a day on the internet. She prefers to play video games, watch t.v., and play outside. Dana likes going to parks and the beach even though she can’t swim. Dana’s mom is relieved that Dana isn’t one of those kids that are glued to their phones.
Headcanon #19
Dana likes drawing. Dana has her own sketchbook and often likes to doodle in it. The child keeps every drawing she has and gives some to her mother. Dana doesn’t understand in- depth yet or proportion. Sometimes her drawings are made fun of by mean hearted people. When this happens, Dana takes it to heart and sulks for days, refusing to draw anything. It takes a while for her spirits to bounce back if somebody makes fun of or hates her art.
Headcanon #20
Dana loves Ghost and Fairy Types. Dana loves Drifloon. And though she doesn’t have a lot, she really likes Ghost types. Dana’s teams are of mixed types. She has no set type of Pokemon that she collects. Fairy types are her close second. Because most Fairy types are really cute. But Dana dislikes Fire types.
Headcanon #21
Dana has frequent nightmares, but she can’t remember her dreams. Dana sometimes remembers her dreams, but mostly they are basic things like being trapped someplace or big scary creatures going after her. Dana has a lot of dreams where it feels like she is falling.
Headcanon #22
Dana has a lot of hope in people. She is not cynical yet, though I can see her becoming cynical as she grows older. Dana believes in the world and thinks everybody (including her father) is a good person, but there are times where she thinks badly of somebody. Overall, Dana has hope in people and in the world. Nothing but age and experience on this Earth can change that.
Headcanon #23 Dana doesn’t really understand promises. Because sometimes they are broken by adults. Why make a promise if you’re going to break them? Dana is becoming wary of people who tell her to trust them. But, of course, she’s a child and in the end she will always trust somebody even if she just met them. This isn’t so good because it means Dana can be taken advantage of. Hopefully she grows out of this.
Headcanon #24
Dana’s texting style isn’t like the way she talks. Dana doesn’t use slang, nor does she use emojis. Dana uses emoticons and full sentences when she texts, so her texts look like this: There is a party going on. You should come over. (^▽^). Dana rarely calls anybody and mostly texts people, but she doesn’t IM anybody, nor does she use the internet to text anybody. Only rarely will Dana call anybody and when she does, the calls aren’t really ones that last for a long time. Dana only calls when she is in danger or when giving directions.
Headcanon #25
Dana wears her portal ring on her left ring finger.  When Dana was seven, she was given her own portal ring by her first best friend Yuki. Dana now has the ability to go to other dimensions.
Headcanon #26
If Dana were in the Pokemon game, these would be her quotes:
Challenging the player: "With Drifloon, I can defeat'cha!" "Battle me? Ya gotta say yes!" "Peekaboo! I see you!" (while doing Team Skull gang signs) "for Skull!"
Greeting the player: "Hey! I can't let you in. Boss won't like that!" "Guzma is a super strong bug trainer. I'll be strong like him!"
Winning a battle: "We did great, Drifloon!" "Hah! I knew I was strong!" "Boss'll be proud'a me!"
Losing a battle: "NO!" "Boss won't be happy wit' me-" "No-" (said while stomping her feet) "It's not fair!"
Extra after a battle: "Aren't Drifloon great?" "Do you wanna meet my Drifloon?" "Sometimes my Drifloon drags me away." "You're strong!" “Can I pet your Pokemon?!” “Do you want to be my friend?”
Headcanon #27
If Dana were in the game, her battle theme would be the 8-bit version of the Team Skull battle theme with the vocals over it. She still has the Team Skull emblem and spray paint opening sequence at the beginning of the battle to show she is in Team Skull.
Headcanon #28
Extra: If Dana were in the game and you interact with her 20 times, she will give you her phone number. Dana will text you whenever there are Drifloon around. She will text you the Route you can find them in too. Dana’s messages are all very energetic and in all capital letters.
Headcanon #29
Dana is often dragged away by Drifloon. Because she is so tiny, Drifloon have an easier time dragging Dana away. This stresses her mother out, so Elise keeps a close watch on the Drifloon as best as she can.
Headcanon #30
Dana is challenging the Galar gyms, and her challenger number is 425, which is Drifloon’s number in the PokeDex. So far, Dana has defeated four gyms, but lost against Bede.
Headcanon #31
Dana has a very complex opinion of her late father. Some part of Dana really loves him and wants him to love her, but the other part of her is very mad at him for hurting her. Dana feels like she was robbed of something because of her dad’s death, and she wishes she could go back and tell him how much she hates him, or make another attempt to win his love and affection. At some point, Dana has deluded herself into thinking he’s alive. However, one day she will learn that he is not coming back.
Headcanon #32
Dana has anger management issues. Dana has been known to lash out when she gets upset or frustrated. Sometimes she gets violent when she sees people with blue hair like her father. Lately, Dana has been using calming techniques to calm herself down when she gets too upset or frustrated. So far, it seems to be working.
Headcanon #33
Trigger Warning!
Dana’s Injury History: A scar on her arm from being attacked by Dee’s Hydreigon. Her pupil-less from her father’s experiments. Temporary nerve damage from being frozen by Lusamine.
Headcanon #34
TRIGGER WARNING
Dana joined Team Skull to get away from her dad. Dana’s dad liked to experiment on her, and the experiments sometimes scared or hurt her. Dana ran away the first time because her parents were fighting, but since then she had gone back to Po Town to get away from her father. Dana likes to tell people she joined because she was a badass, but the real reason she joined is very sad.

don't really know why i'm doing this here, considering i usually keep this kind of thing in private, but it's moogle overshares night i guess
just. i don't know. some thoughts about my brother i've needed to say for a long time, especially to myself. mostly copypasted from elsewhere.
tws for child abuse, verbal abuse, emotional abuse, and domestic violence under the cut.
brain: hey, wanna out of the blue remember that time you saw your oldest brother who was like 16-17 at the time trying to force your 12-year-old brother back-first onto a huge board of sharp legos because he got mad at him over some asinine fucking thing
me: not particularly thanks
i don't know if it's better that he at least didn't bother trying to be physically or verbally violent in secret or worse that he'd not only do this shit but do it in front of his little sister because lol
also love remembering being like 11 sitting in the back seat of a car at sonic with him and my cousin in the front calmly, openly talking about how stupid and annoying i was and how much it sucked to have to drag me around with them like i wasn't there at all
while totally ignoring me after i tried to talk to them about some dumb little thing i was enthusiastic about
weirdly the most upsetting part was how fucking reddit-intellectual smug and self-satisfied they were about it
my brother would start arguments about shit with me and my other brother that were way over our heads because we were fucking kids at the time so he could rip into us over it for hours
he was the kind of pompous dickless asshole who thought ''winning'' arguments by using little kids as his verbal punching bags made him a master of intellectual debate
i'm not 'triggered flashback spirals' about it rn or anything, mostly just having a moment of like
[squints]
bud i don't care whether you did it because you were abused first that's fucking pathetic
he was just.... a pathetic fucking bully and not in the way that makes me feel bad for him
contempt, that's the word i'm looking for
i'm sorry that you were abused, you didn't deserve it, i know you've suffered terribly because of it and i wish you all the luck in the world with your healing
but frankly i don't really give a damn in this case that you were a hurt angry traumatized teenager, when you took it out on hurt angry traumatized little kids who couldn't get away from you, and screamed it into their heads their entire growing up that it was their fault you were a shitty bully who thought it was your god-given mission to win fights with 7-year-olds about why x computer model is best, or to educate them loudly and at great length why every word they say is stupid and unintelligible and wastes the time of the people listening to it
like, literally in those explicit words
just
fuck your sob story and fuck everyone who tried to make me feel bad for him when he hurt me

My Top Post in 2021
Hello, dear! You've been visited by the random character question fairy! :D ~☆
What would your character change about their past? What decisions would they change? How would these changes change their future?
Hello! Thank you for asking this question!
Considering the question, I wonder if it's alright to answer for multiple characters from different fandoms? lol
One Piece OC: She would definitely attempt to change the events that led up to her partner and fellow rebellion-leader, Shiro, being executed. She's always been felt guilty about how it happened, and believes it to be her own fault, even though she often states she understands that it wasn't solely her fault.
As for how it would affect her future, she might have very well possibly not joined her current crew, and instead would have created a whole new one with her partner.
Magi OC: Definitely would have changed her husband and unborn child's death. They died to an highly obsessive and deranged admirer of hers, and she wouldn't hesitate to go back and change how it all went down.
And how it would change her future, well...she'd still have her family, and would have even gotten to meet her child. Perhaps she wouldn't have gone on the adventures that led her to meet her dear friends.
Fairy Tail OC: Her cousin's death would have to be it. It was a heavily traumatizing event for her, and she would do anything to have changed it. As how it would change things...she wouldn't have her magic, or perhaps, it wouldn't have come the same way it did. But she'd have her best friend and protector, so perhaps it would have been a fair trade.
A lot of death changing in this, I know. lol But to be honest, a fair amount of my OC's have dealt with death in various situations, most of which have been traumatizing to them, so it would make sense for them to want to change things.
Still, thank you for asking about them! ^^

1. Have you ever seen two movies at the theater in a row?   I have at the drive-in. There's always double features.
2. If you were to go to Starbucks right this second, what do you think you’d order? I just tried the funnel cake latte a couple weeks ago and LOVED it, so probably that.
3. Do you own any dice? I don't believe so.
4. Do you like to wear cardigans? I wear them for convenience but honestly I don't look very good in them. I'm broad shouldered but flat chested so wearing cardigans with a low cut top just make me look like a board. LOL
5. If I were to ask you nicely, would you please consider making a survey for me and everyone else? I don't make surveys, just take them.
6. What is the worst thing a child has ever done to you while you were babysitting? The kids I've babysat have all been well-behaved and nothing traumatic comes to mind. Except once when I was putting a girl to bed and she went "are you sure there's nobody in the house?" BITCH WHAT DO YOU MEAN
7. If you wear contacts, do they tend to get really dry after only wearing them for just a couple hours? –
8. Have you ever watched any British television shows? Of course. Britcoms are my favorite!
9. Do you own a nightgown? Actually yes, although they're more like sleep shirts.
10. If you could get any pet right now, what would you? I'm ok not having pets
11. Have you played Grand Theft Auto: IV? If so, what do you think of it? Never
12. How often does your internet disconnect? Kind of often at my apartment. I only connect to the guest wifi as opposed to the wifi for my individual unit because I'm too lazy to type in my long-ass password.
13. Have you ever actually been stuffed into a locker? Uh no.
14. Do you / did you decorate the inside of your locker at school with stuff? I honestly didn't, which is quite unlike me.
15. How many teenagers do you know who have babies? None currently but I knew a few teen moms.
16. Is there a fan in the room you’re in right now? Yep on my desk
17. Do you believe that chivalry is really dead? I guess in the strictest, most traditional sense? But that's not a bad thing.
18. If you have one, what’s your favorite novel by Chuck Palahniuk? I've never read anything by him, surprisingly. I think because I'm so turned off by the type of guys he seems to attract as readers.
19. Do you get your surveys from your subscriptions page or do you actually go to specific sites and search for them? I get most of them from this girl I kind of cyber-stalk. She posts the best surveys! 20. How much is your cell phone bill each month I'm not sure because it's a family plan
22. Have you ever made a house out of a giant cardboard box? Mmm nope
23. Have you ever made a tent out of sheets in your bedroom? Oh yes. I loved making forts!
24. What’s the coolest thing you’ve made with Legos? I've never built anything with legos I don't think. 25. When you make a survey, do you answer your own questions? I don’t make 'em
26. If you could keep your parents or trade them for other parents, which would you pick? God, I wouldn't trade mine for anything! 27. Do kiwis make you think of testicles or is it just me? That's def just you buddy
28. Do you think it’s cool how peroxide gets all fizzy when you put it on a cut? I guess?
29. Is there a piggy bank in the room you’re in? Nope
30. If I had to power to give you one thing right now, what would it be? A fast-forward through this workday so I can get home and get back in bed!
31. Do you want to get pregnant right now? I wouldn't *MIND* it however Glenn & I would like to be officially married first, and I'd like us to be more financially stable. And preferably have a house or townhome.
32. Do you know anyone who doesn’t like the internet? The only person I can think of who doesn't use it is my grandfather.
33. Do your grandparents know how to operate a cell phone? I only have one remaining grandparent and he can barely operate his landline.
34. Have you ever housed a friend for a long period of time because they had no place to live? Nah. A day or two, yeah. But nothing beyond that.
35. If you have a favorite comedian, have they ever been in a movie? I like Jim Gaffigan stand-up a lot, and a few other comedians who's names escape me.
36. How many sets of twins do you know? Several
37. Has anyone ever made fun of you for using proper grammar? I've actually been ridiculed for using "big" words. The same guy also made fun of me for being a college graduate so, not really sure what those insults were about ha.
38. Do you own any hemp jewelry? Nope
39. Have you ever cut carpet with a carpet cutter? Uh no.
40. Are there any books you want to read? I have a few on my TBR list but that won't happen 'til I finish the one I'm currently reading. It's taking me forever because the writing is so dry and boring.
41. Is it before of after 3 pm? Way way before
42. If you have younger siblings, are you very protective of them? Yeah but I don't need to be. She has a good head on her shoulders.
43. If you have older siblings, are they very protective of you? She is, yeah. And she's scary too!
44. What are your plans for New Year’s Eve? Glenn & I usually have a cozy night at home with champagne and homemade appetizers. I have so much fun cooking up a whole spread and then relaxing for the evening. It's way more my speed than the rowdy NYE parties of my early years...
45. Would you like a beer? I mean I'd love one but it's 8 am and I'm at work so

Another Kind of Lockdown by Natasha Kureshi
It started off like any other day, I think I worked the morning shift, but I don’t quite remember; the events of the rest of the day sort of blurred out what must have been an uneventful morning. I used to work the 7-9AM and then the 3-6PM shifts, excepts Thursdays, early dismissal days, we worked 2-6PM. Thursday afternoons were a coveted shift because of the more hours; yes, more pay but also more time to connect with the children in our care. I worked at an out of school care centre that was housed in the portables of a local school. This particular day, as I drove in for the afternoon shift, I noticed that the streets were quiet and there wasn’t a lot of activity around the school. I was the type of person that got to places early, especially work, and I headed for my doors only to find they were locked. Perplexed, I walked over the front door and was surprised to find them locked as well. Peering in I could see the secretarial staff in the office, but they didn’t look at me. Wondering what was going on, I headed back towards my car. This was around 2005 and I didn’t have a cell phone – they weren’t as ubiquitous as they are now – so I couldn’t call the centre or the front office to find out what was happening. As I walked around the school, the custodian, Jo-Jo*, called out to me, motioning me to come inside quick.
I’m going to digress for a moment to tell you about school custodians. I think they have one of the most thankless jobs (society-wise) – but they get paid back in a lot of love from students. If you were lucky, you had a chance to see inside the supply closet that was full of toilet paper, those rolly mop-bucket contraptions and smelled like pine-sol, a scent I loved as a kid. I think sometimes school custodians know students more than a homeroom teacher might: they see the kids that linger a little bit longer in the hallways, you know the ones that take the longer route back to their class, they hear the kids that throw up in the bathroom and the ones that cry there alone too. Custodians know which kids sit in the hall and eat their lunches alone. They are celebrated for lobbing back the balls that end up on the roof and the wayward equipment that gets stuck in the gym ceiling. Custodians also have the grim task of picking dried gum off of the undersides of desks and cleaning up puke. When I was in junior high, I used to get terribly sick when I was menstruating, and one time I threw up on the classroom carpet; I remember feeling really bad for our custodian who had to clean it up. I’ve had extended family members who worked cleaning jobs and I know the people that clean up after us largely go unnoticed, so I make it a point to look at and say thank you to custodians in public places. I share this as a reminder to please thank them next time you encounter them, for all the work they’ve always done, and most especially their essential work in the past year or so.
Back to Jo-Jo: he told me that there was an active situation in which an armed man was roaming around the neighborhood. I remember stiffening as he led me to the hallway towards our portable and unlocked all the doors that would have usually been wide open. I knocked on our centre door, identifying myself and the site manager, Dave*, opened it for me. The older grade school students were still in their homeroom classrooms, but the kinders, the kindergarten children who were done school by 11:30AM, were there, huddled in a corner behind a room divider. Dave ushered me in and I quickly put down my things and rushed into the corner; the lights were all off and he said we had to stay quiet and away from the view of the windows. I remember I didn’t even get a chance to swipe my time card that day. The police helicopters outside could be heard loud and clear in the eerily quiet classroom. The kids looked afraid, mirroring my own fear and a couple were crying. Maggie* looked at me and I held her on my lap. She had buried her head into my shoulder and was shaking and kept asking if the bad guy was gone yet. She stayed there until we got the all clear signal a couple of hours later. I don’t remember too much about that day except Jo-Jo’s kind face, Dave’s worry, and Maggie’s fear. Even after the all clear we had to continue the day – many kids didn’t get picked up until right at 6PM; some of the kinders came promptly at 7AM and stayed all day, until just before closing time. I remember thinking what a long day for them and their parents, who got an earful of the dramatic story as soon as they came in.
Being in pandemic lockdown, reminded me of this other kind of lockdown – the really awful and scary kind that too many young children, especially in the US have sadly faced. I wrote about it briefly my pandemic writings and remembered the incident again on Mother’s Day when a friend mentioned happy greetings to caregivers too; prompting me to pen the whole story here. And as memory often works, another thought came along with this traumatic memory: I’m not a parent, but having worked in preschool and child care settings for many years, I have accidentally been called Mom many times. I’m sure teachers are familiar with this too and I don’t think it’s an accident either. For most people (though sadly not all,) the word Mom comes with feelings of warmth and safety, and a mother-figure is who you turn to when you have something exciting to share. My experiences of being called Mom were usually of the latter variety: look at the puzzle/LEGO/toy I made, look at the new Pokemon card I traded, I drew this in class, I got an A on my test!
I don’t have some grand message to share with this story, one I had forgotten until the trauma of the pandemic lockdown niggled it out of the recesses of my memory. I don’t think I ever told anyone except my husband about this. Peter Levine, who developed somatic experiencing, says that “trauma is not happens to us, but what we hold inside in the absence of an empathetic witness.” I’m hearing that many have been re-experiencing past trauma and grief in past year and I wish them healing and compassionate witnesses to hold their stories. I hope that when Maggie or any of the other children at school that day remember not only “how scary” it was, but that they had kind teachers, caregivers and support staff around them that helped them through the experience.

He said nothing. He’s been dead for 20 years and I still hate that bastard. I know he’s in hell, and I’m going to kick his ass when I see him. A little extreme, maybe. But I was traumatized.
