He says “hey try this game I've been playing.” I say “Okay!”#I have never heard of this game. I pick the mercenary. I go through 5 min of character history and background. I am mauled to death by dogs #It took me 4 resets to even get in the dungeon. But I finally get there. I am caught by a guard. He cuts off all but one of my limbs #I am forced to crawl around in a blood and corpse pit until the game tells me 'give up idiot'.#I reset. I am mauled by dogs again. I realize this is not for me but I am intrigued enough to go home and watch some playthroughs #And WOW what an interesting game it is! I really do appreciate games that blend their design philosophy with the theme it wants to set #This is a game about fear and hunger. And persevering. And penis (my god is there a lot of penis)#I recommend this to people who like extremely challenging games and can handle the many *content warnings* within this series #If the idea of Bloodborne/eldenring and undertale having a little RPG maker baby sounds appealing to you - give it a shot #It's made by ONE GUY and it's a great horror game. I am just really bad at it.#My friends just enjoy putting me in situations where I scream and yell. We don't talk about the corn mazes. Danny, now an adult, has just moved to the city of Gotham. Actually he’s been an adult for a while, but every once in a while he has to end his life, at least legally, lest someone get suspicious. Usually whenever Dan or Ellie does an oopsie and pulls a firebird with being reborn through their core.

So legally, one Danyal Nightingale, has just moved to Gotham to open a bakery (Thank you for the wonderful recipes and bonding Clockwork) while taking care of his practically newborn son Jordan. Of course Elnath- Ellie- had to pull a core retreat too, which is just his luck.

It wouldn’t be a problem, but he’s trying to not be so broody. A ghost- even a half-ghost- carrying another core though, has instincts turned up to like, eleven. Which again, wouldn’t be much of a problem if not for someone falling into his dumpster late at night bleeding. A vigilante, which he’s sworn to stay away from that life years ago. And it’s not a lethal wound…

But his instincts are screaming to not let the person bleed all around his nest, and he knows from experience that it would continue to bother him. Which is how he ends up with Batman on his couch to Dan’s glee if the ghost chirps are to go by.

The One Where a Prince is Kneeling

Just like Ariel with her grotto, the library has been Eric’s heart. Everything he treasured, longed and dreamed of were there. And yet, the heart-breaking, "Nobody usually comes in here." which, reading between the lines could mean nobody tries to see me, really see me.

He's been longing for someone to understand him. He was alone, craving for connection, friendship (see how he interacts with the crew until Grimsby pulled him away) but due to his rank and his radical beliefs, he was isolated- which was the last thing he wanted.

But then, this curious and quiet woman suddenly barged in his life library and was actually interested in what he has to say. Even encouraged it. Time flew into the night, he lit the candles as the woman pulled out various trinkets for him to explain. And he happily obliged, even kneeling on the floor beside her to keep up.

I therefore conclude that that night at the library was probably the best conversation Eric had ever had.

kuusuke as a character is 1 billion times better if you view his words here as genuine (like how i do) . the way you see these scenes is very important to how his character will read to you in my professional opinion

like 😕😕😕 he literally cares about kusuo so much. that’s his cute brother he couldn’t hate him even if he tried (and he knows because he DID try and that’s-) . he literally just wants to play around with his brother and have bonding time but he doesn’t know how to do that normally so he does it in his weird unintentionally destructive way but underlying everything is that familial love.
