patrick "randomly picked up" rick remender's the sacrifcers, seemingly unaware that his bandmate is literally writing a comic book (holy roller) with rick remender rn
joe gives one book recommendation (the glassy burning floor) while patrick and pete go off listing various titles they've picked up. pete recommends the three body problem but doesn't mention if he actually read the book, just says he watched the tv show. andy just says "my favorite book series is the dark tower by stephen king" END of question. love that guy
when asked who they'd like to tour with, alive or dead, patrick joe AND pete all make the same joke about how they'd like to tour with the alive band because they don't want to dig up the dead. i hate them.

joe got some custom molded vampire teeth for the sixteen candles video that never got used in the video proper, but he still has them!

a list of my comfort shows:
fleabag - phoebe waller bridge, i want to be you when i grow up. The writing, the acting, the comedic beats, need I say more. I could analyse this show for forever and still wouldn't get bored. The juxtaposition of fleabag and her deflection through comedy with her grief is so poignant, it always makes me feel all the Feelings™️
normal people - genuinely the most perfect book to tv show adaptation i have ever seen. usually, the book or the show is better but in this case, the book and the show add to their respective counterparts, its crazy. also, the acting by daisy edgar jones and paul mescall is so well done. I have watched normal people so many times that i literally watch the show on shuffle. my thought process: "hmm today feels like an episode 8 type of day"
leverage - everyone go watch that show rn, its so fucking good, every single season slaps. are you aware of how rare that is?? and the fact that this show aired on television while actively criticising every major organisation is insane. i genuinely believe that if i hadn't already been radicalised, just from looking at the world around me, this show would have pushed me over the edge. i love my criminal found family. the depth and nuance to all their relationships but also how campy and fun the show is makes for such a fun watching experience. i have such a good time every time i watch because, let’s be real, who doesn’t love a good heist.
teen wolf - but especially season 3. the downside of making season three such Good television is that it ruins the rest of the series. nothing else after or before season three of teen wolf can live up to the standard set by season three. also, dylan o'brien in season three? man really brought out the big guns, and I love that for him
skam - literally any version, i have watched each remake so many times. this show drives me nuts, when i fall into a skam phase, i fall deep. it happens like once every two years, and for like 2 months straight, i don't watch anything but skam. i don't know why i like skam so much, it just makes me feel so comforted.
veronica mars - does kristen bell age? I mean, she looks the same in veronica mars and the good place. anyways, veronica mars. it is everything riverdale wished it could be. it's one of the only shows i've seen that, while catering to a teenage and young adult audience, doesn't talk down to their audience. and i love that while there's the overarching narrative, it's also a procedural so every episode is different. means that you can just pick and episode and watch it. it also means that some episodes let the teenage characters actually be teenagers (ahem, unlike every other teen drama show)
anne with an e - anne with an e just makes me want to enjoy my life. especially the mundane, quiet, small moments that i otherwise don't think about. anne shirley cuthbert is such a vivid character, i almost always watch a couple episodes of awae when i'm sick. probably because i first watched it when i was sick. the show, while not all happy go lucky, makes me feel like i’m getting the media equivalent of a warm hug.
arrow - but only season 1, 2 and 3. sometimes i just want to watch something that really doesn't require you to pay attention. maybe i’ve just finished exams and my mental bandwidth is like, -1, in which case i only have the energy for something like arrow. there’s nothing more to it than what’s being told to you on screen and sometimes that’s all you need (or all you can handle)
shameless - i don't know why this dysfunctional family brings me such comfort but it does. i just love watching the family dynamic. clearly. looking over this list, i am realising that found family is exactly what i look for in everything i watch. watching the effects that every character has on each other is so interesting but the shows also just so funny? i mean come on, there’s no other show that does recaps as well as shameless does. also, the best enemies to lovers arc ever executed on screen? ian gallagher and mickey milkovich, hands down. for a show that’s so coarse, they gave these two such a heart warming arc.
the OA - i am so jealous of britt marling's mind. she's a genius. the tone of the OA is so different to anything else i have watched, it’s so refreshing. the only show that i feel maybe has a similar tone is mr robot, but while mr robot has you constantly on edge and wary of everything that’s happening on screen, the OA is calming. the chinese box narrative structure is done so organically and so kindly (?? it’s the only word i can think of that fits) you can’t help but feel for the characters, no matter how much of an asshole the character is. in fact, this show might have actually changed my mind on a whole lot of things regarding how we treat others. again, the found family aspect is present, front and centre. then there's the romance between OA and Homer. it is so pure. I can't even articulate my feelings about this show, it's so mind bendingly good

Childhood TV shows? (cartoons, disney/nick sitcoms, etc.)
THAT WILL LIKE GIANT POST BECAUSE I WATCHED THOUSENDS OF CARTOONS, SITCOMS AND MUCH MORE XDDD
Long story short, I didn't have any friends in my childhood and usually I was bullied physically and mentally at elementary school so yeee- That is why I spend 50% of the time in my home looking non stop at the TV screen and watching whatever i found (rest of the time i was playing with my littlest pet shops and monster high dolls making cults, apocalypse, and cities. I LOVED making city for my pet shops and rule them all >:D)
So I will tell about the most important ones for me, because this post would never end if I start talking about EVERYTHING (and won't talk about movies, because it's about what children channels was showing.)
In my kindergarten era my favorite cartoons was mainly on one channel BBC for kids. It was my gold, everything i needed after long day in kindergarten where children were beating shit out of me. And lately I rewatched Numberjacks, Charlie and Lola (funfact my 20y/o dog is named after her older bro XDD), Big coock and Little cook, Teletubbies, The Koala Brothers, etc. (i watched everything what was showned at that time on BBC) This shithead from Numberjack still makes me scared.
He is a demon from my past.
But my parents because they doesn't gave a shit what i was watching my top 1 kindergarden cartoon was original Ben 10 and Lady Gaga music videos (And I'm not even fucking kidding, my family has videos that i could sit for an hours and just watch poker face over and over again.)
And i also rewatched it lately and found out that most of the talking roles are shared between Ratchet and Optimus polish VAs (Jarosław Boberek and Dariusz Odija)
Later we got more channels on our old TV so I started watching channels like Nick, Disney channel and Disney XD (we had cartoon network, etc. before so yeah). And for that time Hannah Montana was perfect for me i truly love it. I loved this show. The same with ICarly (fuck Dan Schneider, fuck paramount and nick that was hiding him and other p3does for years, they are acting like disney but worse) BUT there were also sitcoms for boys, and if you know me I LOVE MEDIA FOR TEEN BOYS. After Hannah Montana stopped showing up, I really felt in love in I’m in the Band, Zeke and Luther, Kickin’ It, ESPACIALLY Crash & Bernstein, because it was mupped show but cooler for me at the time XD
More ppl should know about it XD
And after it my golden era begin, because we got even more channels and I could watch for first time show that will change my life forever, thanks to this show I'm with you guys rn and start to draw:
My first ever episode of lego ninjago was the episode where 1ep of 3 season, and it got me so hard XDD and at the time I cried me when I was 10 I cried like little baby when Zane died and was this show-don't-tell ending with Pixal. It was everything I needed... and it made me nerd also XDDD At the time i start to watching Teletoon+ like crazy!!! I watched MLP there and LPS too! And I'm so pissed of on myself, because TFP was shown there to but I didin't want to watched, because since i was youngling I hated Bayverse and was scared of their faces, so fuck you Micheal Bay, I almost missed the best TF show ever because of you :))
But also worth to talk about is The Amazing world of Gumball, oh boy I love it the same as Lego Ninjago and Nexo Knights!!! It was spiderman universum for me, when i was young, I watched since it premiered to the very end and even as a young teen I appreciated the animation and creativity that Gumball was showing us. Since today I think that animation and ideas are just pure genius and I can not even tell one thing bad about it like about Total Drama (1-3 season lives rent free in my head still, that is why I'm danganronpa fan) XDD
And now we are getting to second most necessary canon even in my life. The March 16th of 2015 first episode of polish Transformers robots in disguise was showed and it was fun for me! Fun enough that I recommended it to my friend that I created this au with, and she told me that it was cool too! And then years has passed and in 2022 she rewatched because she was bored and discovered Transformers Prime, she was so amazed of it that she begged me for MOUNTH to watch it! And guess how she convinced me to watch it??? XD she showed me that one ep that Starscream was running with KO, because zombie Silas was hunting them XDD (I'm spoiler proof, so I wasn't angry that she showed me ep from 3 season). AAAAnd that is how it started and that is why I'm with you rn and drawing transformers stuff for more than 2 years
So Rid15 literally get me into this awesome fandom!!!
And then I started using internet to the state, that I stopped watching TV at all so yeah... (i mean i was using internet since 2010 when I was 6, and using school computer to play dress up games, but yk what i mean) AND ofc there was much much much more cartoons and shows i watched BUT like I told you there is too much of it XDD
As a funfact my sister forced me to watch naruto and sailor moon in very young age, so I never watched fully and to the age of 13, because of her I HATED anime XDDD

i care about this too much
hangman and roosters relationship follows, BEAT. FOR. BEAT. the ‘ex’s getting back together’ plotline i’ve seen in 100 other films about straight relationships.
the first scene, where hangman swaggers up to rooster, stands like five inches from his face, smirking the whole time while they insult eachother. they’re glancing at eachothers mouths, everyone around them is watching them like this interaction is nothing new.
rooster telling him he looks good as hangman plays pool veeery slowly and somehow antagonisingly. you can feel how much hes showing off. hangman leaves and pheonix goes up to rooster and says ‘he hasn’t changed’ and rooster is STILL just STARING in his direction and says ‘no he hasn’t (or something like that lol)
then their always making eye contact in the meetings, bantering while their flying then
omg THEN
roosters about to get into the plane and maybe never come home, and this SHOT i swear. it’s like, romantically coded cinematography but a canonically platonic relationship?? and it drives me CRAZY. the camera follows rooster as he walks, and hangman enters the shot and their still for a second.
they don’t. know what. to say. this could be a goodbye for all they know. the warm lighting, the eye contact, the tension, all of it.
then finally hangman SAVES HIS LIFE and they say the ‘you look good’ ‘i am good’ lines again. HE LITERALLY IS THE REASON that rooster is still ALIVE. rooster comes home safe, he gets off the plane, hugs EVERYONE ELSE except of the main character and RIGHT here
right here is where after 20 years of watching movies my brain has been trained to expect the love interest to appear and for the romantic subplot to resolve. (idk why how to train your dragon is all i can think of rn but do you remember at the end!?! its the SAME SCENE. hiccup is greeted by a crowd of secondary characters, he talks to them for a second, then the music changes, the crowd parts, and astrid comes up and they have their little ‘thats for everything else’ moment, anyway)
here is structurally where in every other movie the next person to talk to rooster would kiss him. and what do you know hangman arrives, everyone steps back, there’s this importance you can feel. the music changes, so does the tone. this isn't just another character, this interaction means something. god and the way they’re smiling at eachother it gets me everytime. but of course, like he considered going for the kiss but decided against it, hangman offers his hand for a handshake.
ALL of these scenes. ALL these interactions would have read as romantic if one of them, was a women. its crazy to me. they use the same cinematography, the same type of dialogue, the same direction that you would expect to be used for a romantic subplot, but use it for a platonic subplot.
a man and a women could interact once with the slightest amount of tension and people would without a second thought assume they’re love interests. these two were out here saving eachothers lives, having the most flirtatious interactions ive seen in ages, but no, they’re just really close friends.
EDIT/ADDITION: I’ve seen so many people say that rooster and pheonix were ‘clearly fucking’ or ‘clearly had history’ and you know what?? i totally see it!! so valid. plenty of tension. but if you think they had chemistry but rooster and hangman didn’t, the only difference between the two is that they’re the same gender. they had the same amount if. not. more chemistry/tension than either of them did with pheonix
oh also, another example of romantically coded techniques/tropes being used in apparently non-romantic plotlines is the tv show suits. its not every episode but mike and harvey have a bunch of scenes that would read as HEAVILY romantic if either of them was a girl (eg. harvey running in slow motion to stop mike from putting himself in danger was very ‘running through the airport’, but oohhh no they were ‘brothers’ )

• Eddie has that Southern gentlemen “charm” so like he puts his hand on Steve’s back as they walk around together. He opens door for Steve. He tells Steve to order first. And Steve is just dumbfounded. Like thinking “why is Eddie so nice wtf?” And also “god I got lucky”
• Steve and Eddie never officially asked each other out. Just one day they started to call each other boyfriends and Eddie just asks “so when’s our anniversary?” And Steve just shrugs. So they change the date every year.
• the party also think Steven n Robin are dating bc of how close they are and when Steve n Eddie become more affectionate the party thinks that Steve is cheating. And when they bring Robin to show her she just looks at the party with a ‘are you Fr rn?’ look. She like “Guys me and Steve have and will never date. Cuz gross.” And she just walks away trying not to laugh.
• Lastly this one is my favorite, it’s a bit angsty. Steve n Eddie are not yet dating but are getting close to that point. Steve’s dad finds out he’s bisexual & beats him to a bloody pulp. Steve barely gets away with an inch of his life. His face is all bloody and busted. His arms and torso are covered in bruised. He drives to Eddie’s trailer, not realizing it’s Hellfire night so Wayne is there instead. Steve stumbles out of his car and starts to wail on the door. When he hears Wayne’s heavy feet he freezes up and turns around to walk away. “Steve?” Wayne questions. Steve freezes up and trembles in his spot. Wayne is not a fan of Steve because he worries that he’s like his old man & will hurt Eddie. But all that disappears when Steve turns around with his head down. “Comere son” he gently pulls Steve into the trailer and hisses when he sees Steve’s face. “Holy Shit, what happened?” And Steve pours out his heart. Telling him how he was trying to hide his relationship bc of his father and how someone saw him and Eddie holding hands and how his father beat him and the only place he thought was safe was here. Wayne cleans up Steve’s face as Steve starts to sob. And they are heart wrenching sob. The loud and snotty kind. Wayne just hugs Steve bc he’s reminded of when Eddie had fist came home like that. Steve soon stops crying and just feel exhausted. Wayne lays him back of the sofa and turns on the TV know that neither of them will be sleeping. It’s only a couple hours later when Eddie gets home and is humming to one of his songs when he sees Steve. “Holy-“ Wayne shushes him. “He’s had a day eds just let him sleep.. I tell you more in the kitchen.” Eddie is told everything that happened and his heart breaks at how Steve was treated. He looks back at steve and just tears up. Wayne let’s him go to Steve after explaining everything and Eddie cradles steve in his arms and they fall asleep together. Wayne watches them and vows to himself that he’ll protect those two no matter what.
Oof the last one was long but also can’t get it out of my head lol. Idk why but my brain is hyperfixating on steddie rn.

let me just rant for the quickest second real quick. first off the BC amazing 10s across the board the teasing the shit talking i thrive and live for the best truly the best and i hope that whenever you post the chapter you take the most amazing self care day after you’re done because I know it’s going to be amazing.
i just wanted to rant about my week it’s friday and i have had the most mentally and emotionally. School has been beating my ass left and right. I need to do an internship site to give therapy to clients and hoping everything goes well i should have it by the end of April 😭. The biggest imposter syndrome known to man. In my head im like girl you can’t even help yourself 🤡. i’m excited but quite literally so close to jumping off a cliff 🤧. I work a school district as a teachers aide and they were like no more funding…i was planning on leaving love the kids but, the supervisor people are also up my business I am about to fight a old lady 😭. i’m like can yall stop worrying about what im doing and mind your business like is my paycheck is coming out of your pocket…NOOOO🙄. Then in my class last night i was basically called out to relive such a fucked experience and my professor was like oh what great data 😁😁😁. ummmm ??? bitch DATA! i am in SHAMBLES. and you over here acting like this a TV show?? I had to take a second in my car to be like oooh wow okay 😟.
i went home showered and watched the EN O’ CLOCK and i felt a tab bit better. something about grown men and a huge 18 year old running away for people in masks will always do it for me 🤧. jake is me hyperventilating after a couple seconds of running around swearing im about to have a full cardiac arrest. mans was speeding. niki going off to tie his shoe and coming back confused he is so teenage boy love him thats my little brother 🤞🤞🤞.

ITTO made a point of not worrying about studying. In his own words, it defeated the purpose because "if i was going to remember what they taught me in class, i would have put it in my memory when they first told me!" This had gotten him into trouble with many an exam.
His philosophy when it comes to bigger projects, however, was surprisingly reasonable. Every time your boyfriend was assigned a project, he tore through it as fast as possible, so somehow, he never got buried with work.
Tonight, you were buried with work. You'd been trying to pace yourself for nearly the entire day, but with class on top of assignment on top of class on top of cup of coffee, you'd quickly become completely exhausted, lying face up on the floor. You stared at the fluorescent lights in the room you shared with Itto, which didn't deign to do anything other than flicker briefly at you in response. You covered your eyes with your arm, letting out a long sigh, when you heard the door to your dorm room open loudly.
"HEEEEEEY!! Guess who's here to help the best boyfriend in the whole wide world with his stupid boring college homework!!"
Itto barged in, grin evident on his face. Despite the colder weather, he was still only wearing his typical tank and cargo shorts. He sniffed, lifting up three plastic bags no doubt filled with goodies.
You reluctantly rolled over onto your stomach and pushed yourself off the floor, gazing at him tiredly. "What'd you get? Instant ramen again?"
"Obviously! And, also," Itto added, closing the door and taking things out of the bags, "i got hawaiian bread rolls, which should be interesting, three different flavors of ice cream, a bunch of crackers, energy drinks, instant coffee, and tylenol. For your headache."
"What?" you concentrated for a second. "Wait, you're right. How did you know I have a headache?"
"Come on, babe, look how scrunched up your eyebrows are. Give yourself a break, okay?" Itto frowned at you and ruffled your head, earning him a huff from you. "You're not gonna get anything done if you're this tired."
"I can't take a break though," you answered stubbornly, "I have about five things due tomorrow and it's already ten pm. If I don't finish this, it's game over for me."
"No, it's not. Listen, if you don't finish everything, it'll be okay. Just look how much stuff you have assigned to you! Nobody should have to do this much work, it's torture! If I had to do all that I just wouldn't."
"Right, which is why I can't take advice from you."
Itto stuck his tongue out at you and flicked your forehead. "Well, if you're not gonna see reason, I guess I'll just have to show you!"
"Huh?" you asked, but you didn't have a chance to add anything else, as Itto has already scooped you up in his arms and plopped you down on the couch in front of the TV. He grabbed a blanket from nearby and draped it around your shoulders. Once you were comfortably situated, he took your laptop and books and put them in the microwave.
"HEY! What the hell are you doing to my stuff!"
"You're going to sit here with me and take a break. If you say even one thing about wanting to work, I'm turning on the microwave."
"Itto! You'll break my computer!"
Itto thought about this for a moment, then reluctantly took your things out of the microwave. "Okay, right. Got it. Just don't try anything, okay? You're relaxing now. It's relaxing time."
You sighed, giving up. It's true that your professors had uploaded an unreasonable amount of work for you to finish. Maybe if you showed the proof to those whose work you hadn't finished yet, they'd understand... in any case, Itto was right. You were overworking yourself, and you needed a break.
You slumped over into the couch, allowing yourself to sink into the cushions. Itto returned from where he'd been putting the food in the fridge earlier, two bowls of ice cream in hand and a pringles tube stuffed into his giant pockets.
"Here," he offered, handing you one of the bowls. "I know I'm not super regular-smart, but I am super you-smart, and I know that right now this is the best thing for you." You took the bowl, nodding, and sunk back into the couch. Itto sat down heavily next to you, splaying out his limbs and putting one arm around you. It was a miracle he didn't spill his ice cream all over his lap.
"Feeling better yet?" he asked, placing a surprisingly gentle kiss on your forehead and slowly squishing you closer to him. It was impossible not to feel better with how close to you he was and how far he'd gone to cheer you up.
"Yeah, I am," you said, giving him a soft, tired smile.
"Good," Itto said, grabbing the TV remote, "now, what do you want to watch? Anything's fine by me, as long as you're here."

In all seriousness, prooobably Kenny. This question in particular is really interesting because Butters is sweet and bubbly even when he’s put through emotional turmoil. So you’d think it’d be him. But really, is he dealing with his pain or is he surpressing it and replacing it with his outgoing personality?
We’ve already seen a few screws come lose in canon (and literally in an entire one-hour special) that let us know there are a lot of things Butters wants/needs to talk about, but just doesn’t? Of course you have Professor Chaos, who is a personification of all of the things Butters wants to do to the world in response to the pain the world has put him through, but with Coon & Friends “defeating” him and denying Butters his right to vent through this persona, it ultimately hurts him more than helps him (he literally had to eat his own shit)
Then there’s Kenny who generally doesn’t say anything at all. Granted, there have been times where he snaps about things like his home life and his curse (cough cough Coon Trilogy. “It’s not pretty cool, Kyle, it fucking hurts!) but no major developmental poignancy, as far as I know. Definitely not a ‘Professor Chaos’ or ‘Victor Chaos’ level of snapping, but still pretty noteworthy in the grand scheme of things. Even then, he’s more than willing to put his own needs aside for others. He spent his hard earned cash on a doll for his little sister!! He could’ve spent that on food for the week or put the money into the house rent, but he choses his heart over his head and vows to make sure Karen doesn’t see as many stormy clouds as he does growing up.
So taking all of this information into consideration, I’d say Kenny would offer healthier, more effective ways to cope with Butters’ traumatic past in exchange for using those coping mechanisms on himself. Whether it be a method that requires distance, or a method that works best when he steps in and helps his boyfriend. Kenny would more than likely put the love of his life first and then figure his shit out once he has a feeling Butters is back afloat. I just think Kenny would be the lifejacket with a few holes punched into it and Butters would be the drowning civillian. One is too far gone to help himself or others, and the other is just on the brink of snapping but still has some energy and heart saved up to help his loved ones.
tl;dr - they’re both pretty fucked up and they’re both fairly dogshit at finding healty ways to fix that, but kenny is a weeeee bit better at it than leo is.
46.) Who gets most intense during a fight?

I’d say that Butters would have the most intensity during a fight because he’s the more emotional of the two. When he feels, he feels hard. Especially anger. The Bunny Episode even shows this! So does the episode where Butters snaps and beats up Dr. Oz on his TV show. Even in the very first Covid-related special, there’s a brief moment where he melts down over not being able to go to Build-A-Bear. So yeah, the boy is intense when he’s angry.
But this doesn’t mean Kenny isn’t prone to snapping and yelling either! Like previously mentioned, he snaps at Kyle and his friends for not taking his curse seriously in the Coon Trilogy. He does the same thing in that one episode where Kyle almost dies. (can’t remember the name rn) So his intensity, while being shown significantly less than Butters’, does exist.
They’d probably have different responses to yelling too though. If Butters yells at Kenny, he’ll just yell right back because he’s used to doing that with his parents at the family dinner table. But if Kenny’s voice goes up by even the smallest amount of volume. Butters is sobbing crying rolling on the floor throwing up shitting sliding down the wall (he just like me fr)
