Got an Airsoft game with work coming up so I've been messing with my gear.
I'll run my kit below
So I'll be running a renter gun for my game coming up since I dont have enough mags for gun (shown above)
Running a Snow-wolf AUG A2 (only have one high cap mag so not playing a game with that) Theta optics red dot + Acog scope, ordered a new foregrip for her since I snapped my fucken old foregrip clean off it's fixture, pain. I've bough some proper rated goggles now and just
So much better than the AliExpress shit I was running, honestly idk why I went cheap to begin with this stuff is so so so much better.
I will probably get some solid plates or a better chest rig at some point, but for now imma run this, may need to score a molle style bag for funsies (in-game snacks)
Hyped for the game coming up, skirmish on an open field event, may want to get some boots after this but I'll do the "how's trainers sound?" method again.
Tho I'm mostly hyped to be able to shoot my supervisor since it's a work event.

A friend I had briefly in my teens years was this girl in Arizona. She was a junior when I was a freshman, and as I was socially awkward and very lonely she kind’ve pulled me under her wing for a while. I don’t remember how we met, but I remember riding in her car and meeting her cute miniature Doberman.
But the thing I remember most about this girl was that she loved lying to me. And I had a massive but I acknowledged crush on her so I adored being lied to. Her natural charisma and storytelling was hypnotic.
It’s not what it sounds like because it wasn’t malicious but she came up with this in depth lore to tell me about this fake job she had. I know autistic people are meant to be credulous but I truly never believed her stories, I just adored her storytelling and was very ready to listen to whatever tale she spun that day. Another of her friends chided her once for teasing me but I genuinely never minded.
In her lore she moonlighted as a Professional Liar. People would hire her to get close to a target they wanted rattled. She’d make friends, develop a strong relationship, foster a dependency on her, then disappear. Then when they were confused and missing her sometime when the employer needed their target rattled she’d show back up as a glimpse to knock them off balance. Often it was implied she’d faked her death in the interim.
That itself was fine, it was an okay story. But in order to support that lie she’d make up tons of supporting details that were way more fun. She had this fake boyfriend who got high as balls on a mission and ended up seeing a sheep in a field and carrying it to a farmhouse to try to buy it because he wanted a puppy. I liked that one but suspected she didn’t know how big sheep were.
She’d IM chat with me as this made up boyfriend sometimes; once she had him ask me if I noticed her limping and he told me she’d just lost a toe but was covering for it like a champ. That one was fun.
She told me about something she called “purple charge” which was a way to get instant night vision. I did try looking that one up on the off chance, but was sadly disappointed there.
She said that Professional Liars had such high stakes jobs that they needed a week of insane time where they just partied so hard it was like a Dionysus rave and her IM boyfriend persona implied she’d killed someone during one of those stints.
I had such a fun time with her elaborate fiction that I’d often ask follow up questions and she had to do a lot of world building to keep up with my fascination. We’d get to class and I’d have three or four new questions which I think is why her friend thought her teasing was too far. They genuinely thought I believed her but I was just loving the fiction.
If any of this sounds malicious I’ll also add that when I got harassed on a roleplaying board she went out guns blazing to go after the guy who’d been harassing me. She genuinely enjoyed my company.
I find myself looking back on our friendship very fondly. I can’t remember her last name or have any way of looking her up, but she really was a professional liar to me. The only downside is that I’m completely faceblind so if she ever wanted to pop unexpectedly into my life I’d have no idea it was her.

Shin, 3 Will Be Free
Quiet, kind, nerdy, smart-ish, lucky, and in need of friends? I think Shin would be a perfect candidate for a one shot. He seems like the kind of player who might not say much at the beginning, but would get ahold of the game quickly, would be comfortable with the improvisational aspect of a TTRPG, and would probably come out of his shell the longer he plays.
Heart, Moonlight Chicken
This is very much so that he has a reason to get out of the house. Honestly, Heart has been severely undersocialized the last few years, and has mostly stuck around Li Ming and Li Ming’s community since then. I’ve set entire parties up before just to give people better access to a queer community, I would 1000% set up a one shot just to give Heart a chance to make friends outside of Li Ming’s social circle. Plus I genuinely think he would be good at it.
Aylin, 23.5
The hardest part of recruiting Aylin to play a TTRPG is getting close enough to her for her to listen to me. But the second she is presented with the knowledge that she could play…mm….Githzerai or some sort of Dark Heresy style game where she has any opportunity to play an alien, I think she would be there.
Zhou Zi Shu, Word of Honor
You know I almost put Wen Kexing on here, because he’s a #dramaticbitch but he’s the type of #dramaticbitch that would probably be annoying for everyone else at the table. Zhou Zi Shu, however, is a smart, charismatic #dramaticbitch with a modicum of self restraint, and I would absolutely refuse to let him play a monk or fighter because I will not be arguing with him about martial arts. Thank you.
Im Han Te, Sing My Crush
Im Han Te gives off the kind of jock-who-secretly-loves-nerdy-shit vibes that I think he would absolutely kill it in a TTRPG group. Not only that, but I fully can picture him getting in to mini-painting as a hobby. He’s also sociable but not imposing and clearly has a penchant for adopting introverted queer kids so I think he’d be a great resource for the other people in the group, and he’d 100% help them figure out the rules if they didn’t know how to play.

Would I allow Zhou Zi Shu to play a martial class? Absolutely not. But, Erika? Oh she’s only allowed to play a gunslinger. Mostly because I think she deserves to have even fancier and more badass guns in her arsenal. Also you know she’d come up with such a badass character, and she’d make my life a living hell in the best possible way if I was GMing the game.

zyxx fans if youre starved for silly scifi content might i suggest the podcast Live and Let Fly; my listening experience is like being able to breathe air again after zyxx ended.
what it is: an actual play Starfinder podcast with an emphasis on roleplaying and character interaction, primarily a comedy interspersed with compelling drama. the cast is playing the Fly Free or Die adventure path from Paizo, following a crew of working class characters as they run errands for a corporate shipping company.
why zyxx fans would like it:
1. it’s good improv. theres a lot of yes-anding in this group. they feed off of each other’s energy extremely well with a good balance of silly and serious scenes. i laugh out loud frequently while listening to this series.
2. the cast has great chemistry. adam, zac, john, emily, josh, and heath have been close friends for a very long time and its very clear they’re having a good time together when they play. its really fun to listen to their dynamic as collaborative storytellers because they know how push each others buttons while respecting each others boundaries. the communication between all the players is a big factor in why the show has such a strong, solid narrative element. really talented group of comedians and storytellers.
3. the characters are varied and interesting. its a space drama, so you run into a lot of fun alien characters in this world, plus the crew itself is full of weirdos. the captain is an autistic space wolf. the mechanic is a sweet yet murderous bug lady. the pilot is a three foot tall rat guy with a gun. the list goes on. racial/gender/class differences aside, everyone is insane in a unique and opposing way, so character interactions are always fun.
4. heavy societal satire. the crew works for a faceless heartless corporate entity. no matter what they do they cant seem to catch a break. its a lot of similar tongue in cheek humor to what the crew of the bargarean jade goes through.
theres lots of other reasons why this show is good but i dont want to make this post ten miles long. give it a listen if it sounds up your alley. im a huge fan and its filling the scifi improv void in my heart ❤️

here again getting back on my bullshit :P
undiagnosed autistic fuyuhiko who’s entire immediate family is also undiagnosed autistic. so he’s very confused when he gets older and sees that everyone doesn’t have a favorite plate or drinking glass. his classmates looking at him weird when he complains about the sound of the lights buzzing.
his main special interests are crime/true crimes shows and movies, and old mafia movies. mostly bc he likes poking holes in them, but sometimes he finds one that actually gets things right and you’d think he just found the cure to cancer with how happy he is.
everyone being surprised at how good of friends him and kazuichi are but it’s because they both love parallel play. kaz will be tinkering with something or reading the latest issues of his favorite car magazines, while fuyuhiko sharpens his knives or cleans his guns while he rewatches his favorite movie.
sometimes kaz will show him a picture in his magazine or he’ll talk about his latest project. or he’ll listen to fuyuhiko’s rants about how accurate or inaccurate whatever he’s watching is.
and sometimes hiko will answer kaz’s questions about whatever he’s watching, or nod along to whatever hot gossip kazuichi is talking about.

ok ive pretty much accepted heart mind and soul are going to lose which is sad ... BUT that means i get to infodump about them. prepare to be jashified, its anti propaganda time. cw for mentions of suicide !
heart mind and soul are characters from chonnys charming chaos compendium, an album by singer songwriter chonny jash. it consists of covers of songs by tally hall and other adjacent musical projects (eg miracle musical). its absolutely INCREDIBLE how he manages to completely twist the meaning and themes behind the songs to make his own story
speaking of which the story of cccc centers around our main trio, and chonny himself. chonny gets split into three parts- the heart (purple blindfold dude) who represents his emotional side, the mind (blue creepy guy) who represents his logical side, and the soul (red mask dude) who has authority over the other two. being natural opposites, heart and mind are constantly fighting. this occasionally leads to violent acts being committed- most notably heart attempting to shoot at mind with a real ass gun (and failing- he shot and he missed !), and heart also getting his eyes stabbed out with a trident (which is why he wears the blindfold). it doesnt help that the soul is also incredibly mentally unstable and suicidal throughout all this but then again all of them are unstable. soul is just more so. so
eventually all of em realize this endless arguing is going nowhere and make up, and become whole again- that is to say, become normal chonny again. but WHOOOOPS if you loop the album youll get hit right in the face with another time machine reprise (a reprise as the very first song of the album is very telling) and realize that they will never truly become whole, because theyre always doomed to keep splitting and coming back together forever, doomed in this endless cycle, locked into eternity. SAD !
all in all its a fantastic story and i really cannot gush enough about how incredible chonnys storytelling and lyricism is. sorry for ranting btw i am very autistic about these weird guys. links to where you can watch/listen are below !

okay i did my superball headcanons now time for my other pookie (flint paper)
older than sam and max but not by much, probably like early to mid 50s
divorced twice, it's fine though
trained in like martial arts, i think he should be allowed to throw people around more (normal)
actually enjoys sam and max company. partially because he is insane but also because they're funny to him. like haha you boys throwing anvils on people? that's good love is love
he likes men and women. thats my truth. we will ship superball with him if its the last thing i fucking do!!!!
probably gets love letters from ladies and men who he helped on cases or flirted with to get info. and also max. a majority of them are from max. he can tell because they're misspelled

i think he had a mullet when he was younger. one day he asks for help cleaning his office and sam and max find that picture of him in college with one and they go HUH and he goes oh yeah that was me and sam and max both desire him more carnally

probably knows a bunch of languages for investigating. one time max hears flint speaking french and max is like "hes going to speak french to me while in bed" and sam goes "wait in fucking line"
probably did gymnastics as a teen. explains why he's so nimble and good at fighting. AND HOT
drinks coffee but so black it's still coffee grounds. he orders this from (girl) stinky all the time and she's like "im throwing this pot at you" and he's like "good! i need a pick me up!"
he did modeling at one point on his life on the side before becoming a full time investigator. if sam and max ever find those shoots they're going to fucking die
when sam and max were first moving in, flint did an entire background search on them and when he met them for the first time he told him everything he found out and sam and max both fell in love with him instantly.
one time he works on a case with sam and max and it causes so much property damage that the three of them are permanently banned from staten island
cannot cook to save his life. he asked sam if spaghetti is supposed to be black and sam was like "i....maybe not."
very good with kids surprisingly. he babysits for sam and max and asks geek if she wants like water or anything while he beats a guy up and she's like "i'm....good."
one time when sam and max actually did their job and brought a criminal into jail they saw flint in there and he was in the process of breaking out and he's like "hey boys! can you unlock the door for me?" and they both went "anything for you."
he 100% knows sam and max want him so bad it's not even funny. it's flattering to him
he doesn't drive. he just walks to places and somehow gets there faster than a car
also has a tattoo somewhere, probably on his back. i don't know of what, i'm just homo okay?
listens to jazz mainly. it fits the noir aesthetic. his office reeks of cigarettes.

now i know what your thinking ... wammie what in the ultimate grilled cheese are you talking about?! ok so ill explain the origins of this.
so one day i was watching an undertale cringe cop re-living the early days of the fandom with my boyfriend when i saw a woman sans and i had a brain blast and ran to ms paint and drew what isaw in my head and then i drew a chara n marph and then i drew a frisk then a papyrus then a flowey then an alphys but i decided to line, rework and color the first 4 but while i drew and lined i was listening to an old song from my childhood days .. lil johns get low and then i had an idea why not make the au about things i had when growing up and then listened to another song called oh oh oh sexy vampire and then transparent soul (the song) and more and more and i just let my imagination loose on this one! i really hope y'all enjoy what i have so far i really let my autistic obsessions came out on this one
plot summary
the aftermath of a world where everyone came together to fight off and end a genocide route a reward is given to those who fought a choice is given a choice is made to keep the underground safe it must be hidden.

snowed up town is like snowed inn but bigger more advanced more monsters more buildings some with sans'es graffiti on them and then you have the train on the save roof i just think its neat it shows how big this underground is

snowed undercity is a big downtown area of snowed up town its like an old 80s anime kinda city pop place lots going on never a dull moment there the light's, the music, the coziness the new have to get ridge leading to it it's the only way to get there and yes its by train and then below you have the void stream of hope and dreams (temp name maybe) it is bottomless and doesn't to feel like water and yet you can float if you have hope
THE RAIL RUINS
the ruins of a long lost rail yard..? but why does it have a sky? how are the fields so long and unraveling how does it have life...truly a bizarre place as the train does not move and there are multiple cars filled with different items... monsters seem to live nicely here..why don't they just go through the door? the sense of hope hear is intoxicating the feeling of adventure is alive a sense of FUN is very alive here

Chahakyn does an amazing job with different POVs, capturing a huge range of emotions from embarrassed to aroused to guilty to (my fave) a repressed Lockwood fantasizing about Dom!George.

Tell us about what inspired one of your fics?
tinnitus was inspired by listening to a song by the same title (hi kpop fans 👋) and it led to me considering the implications of how kids in the l&co universe have a time limit on their talent and also a slow burn cot3 fic and....now i'm in the thick of writing the longest fic i have ever worked on (43k words and counting!)
2. Fave headcanon about L&Co?
i know autistic george karim is like basically two degrees away from being canon at this point, but i'm very fond of that hc (also secretly gunning for adhd lockwood but that's a whole other story hehe)

first impression: oh this boy has so much frantic energy omg and cares so much about this penny girl he tries so hard, hes completely not sleeping to find his only friend...... Fuck I'm gonna end up kinning this guy, aren't I. And then it just kept going
impression now: ...... he cares. so. much. i care so much. its everything and he is everything to me- i actually dont know how to express it. he's like- holy. literally, he works for heaven now. but thats not important, he is.

Him stuck in the palimpsest at the arcade, having lost to Penny's game, cutting his hands digging through the crystals, simply because that is so often referred back to
