Based on the timing of the recording session, found in the absolutely lovely and helpful post by @biro-slay, it wasn’t a proper new life series. The recording session was less than three hours, the normal life series recording time which I believe doesn’t include set up and breaks. So, we ARE probably getting some sort of April fools life series thing. Someone pointed out it most likely wasn’t a Scott escape room since those are typically filmed individually, which leads all the more towards an April fools thing.

I love Jimmy and Joel so much omfg.

Joel is like the main person that constantly makes fun of Jimmy and uses him as a punching bag. In esmp1 Joel was one of Jimmy's closest allies and they were also brothers in law. In esmp2 Joel and Jimmy have been enemies basically the whole time and then recently turned into best friends. In the life series Joel always has the vibe of being alone and not caring about much until it comes down to when he's red and he goes crazy. But in limited life Joel basically immediately became allied with Jimmy, immediately accepting Jim as a fellow bad boy, and instead of being ready to go apeshit and fight for his life in his final moments he was going to let Jimmy kill him and take his time so that he'd be the first perma death instead of Jimmy but Jimmy died and Joel once again broke.

They really are Best Buds.

Edit: how could I forgot that also in XLife Jimmy was the first person to join Jeremyism (well besides the creator himself Joel) and the two of them (along with fWhip) being apart of diamond designs and then remaking it in Afterlife when they all became dragon bros. Also on Alsmp Jimmy becoming a cat and forcing Joel to adopt him and then much later on when kills Joel on his 9th life and then Joel dies not long after and Jimmy doesn't know and doesn't understand why Joel hasn't come back to get his head.
