lilith is jewish, as known from oral tradition, ancient and medieval apotropaic artifacts, Zohar, and of course the Alphabet of (falsly attributed) Ben Sirach ~ she’s jewish but, just like judaism, she’s is an amalgam of common experiences witnessed by jews and gentiles in antiquity

lilith is actively worshipped, observably, in reality, by jewish and gentile women and queers for decades. My friends aren’t antisemitic just for me inviting them in, that’s batshit talk.

don’t tell anyone who to worship. this includes unsolicited suggestions to “swap” Lilith with anyone else. Imposing your religious beliefs on others is very, very culturally christian, so stop that. please.

First up is deities I actively work with and worship heavily

Hades

Tarot pulls

Working on my death alter

Cleaning ((offering both to him and the spirits))

Lighting his candle ((maybe not daily but more regularly than I do right now))

Meditation

Keeping good finances ((once I score a steady job going every day will be devotional time to him as well))

Wearing his necklace or other devotional jewerly

Persephone

Spring and summer

Keeping my room tidy

Keeping my [her] plants alive

Fall and winter

Tarot pulls ((I need to get her a deck))

Moving my meditation with hades outside to honor her as well

Aphrodite

Daily showers

Listening to self love subliminals

Lighting her candle for skin care ((as well as doing regular skin care))

Daily self cleansing ((even if it is just intentional showering some days))

Varied opinions include :

Mesopotamian Origin VS Jewish Origins

Lilith being Open VS Closed

Some Jewish people saying she is open VS some Jewish people saying she is closed

Demon VS Goddess

PLEASE can someone give me proper sources and evidence to prove something because it's absolutely maddening trying to figure this out 🤣

My little sister was so excited to introduce me to her lil witchcraft practicing friend. Finally met her, tagged her as New Age from the jump, but that's not necessarily always a bad sign. She invites me up to her room to see her altars, and I was rocking with the lil crystal cluster spaces 'til she said "Lilith." But I waited. Whoops making vaporwave collages again but this time with religious themes.

I was raised in a strange cocktail of not-heinous Christianity and the evangelical cult that's been slowly swallowing the whole religion. And I have a lot of feelings about it, especially now as a very pagan adult. I've been reading a lot about Gnosticism lately and how it relates to both Christianity and paganism, and it's a fascinating topic to think about.

Lilith is often worshipped as an avatar of the divine feminine, the dark feminine archetype, the first feminist etc. While I have begun doing so as well, I wonder why we often don't talk about Eve's role in her own story- the mother of humanity and literal Bringer of Knowledge?

What all of this boils down to is I make digital collage art to process my own thoughts and trauma and I like to think of Lilith and Eve as equally important in different ways, but in a very pagan interpretation.

You do NOT have to meet a rabbi and to begin the conversion process.

Lilith is jewish in origin.
