!!Major tw for self-harm!! If you aren't comfortable with that please skip. Also, I'm sorry if I depict anything wrong. And I'm going to exclude Gus and Collecter since it feels weird to do this with the kids.

Amity: Once she saw your scars it didn't occur to her the source of said scars. In fact, she thinks someone else did it and was pissed the fuck off. "Who hurt you." was all she could muster. Once you told her the truth her whole demeanor shifts. She goes from wanting to stab someone to looking like she was going to cry. She wraps you in abomination goop as a makeshift blanket. She was not willing to leave your side for any reason.

Luz: She's basically crying at the scars regardless of who did it. She just hates seeing hurt okay? :( But when she learns you did it she freezes. She doesn't believe it in the slightest. Starts talking about how much she loves you. Granted she's saying 100 words per second so you can only hear bits and pieces of what she's saying. But she gets her point across. That point is: I love you so much and I'm sorry you had to go through that.

Willow: She doesn't mention them once she first sees them. It's none of her business, they all look pretty healed so why push? But a few days later when you guys are just normally talking she casually brings it up. You don't know how to respond. After a few moments, you tell her the truth. And you can see it on her face, the way it hits her like a sack of bricks. The fact that she didn't ask adds to the guilt. But this isn't a moment to focus on herself. She hugs you. The next day she takes you on a really nice date.

Hunter: Once he notices he does (correctly) assume the reason. But he doesn't want to believe himself. It is pretty understandable why you would want your s/o self-harming. But he knows that if he's right but doesn't talk to you he'll regret it forever. So, despite his nervousness, he asks you. He says multiple times that it's "probably not why." His heart sinks when you confirm his fears. You're immediately wrapped in a hug. He keeps talking about how sorry he is that he didn't help, as well as how much he loves you. And he means every word of it.

Vee: She does not dance around the question. Once she sees the scars she just straight up asked, "Why are there scars all over your arms?" So that was very jarring. Once you end up telling her she just stood there. Before wrapping her tail and arms around you. You felt extra secure. She is going to let you know how much you mean to her.

Raine: They know what your scars are from the moment they see them. They don't point the scars out so that you don't get uncomfortable. They do however become way nicer (if that's even possible.) Every chance they get they'll complement you. It's a very obvious but welcomed change.

Eda: Well shit. She's not even going to ask she knows what the scars are from and she's pissed. Not at you, at herself for not noticing. She hugs you and starts apologizing without an explanation. Once she does explain she makes very clear that she's not mad at you and will help you stop.

Emira: Since she's the oldest of the Blight twins I feel like she had a lot of the pressure to be the perfect child before Amity. (Edric was just kinda ignored.) But she didn't have much of a support system so she did have thoughts she never went through with them. But Titan does it break her heart to see you going through that? Her approach was way more gentle than anyone. She staged a mini-therapy for you.

Edric: On the other hand he's pretty clueless. When you tell him he is very sad. He doesn't know what to do but he starts buying you a bunch of things. He wants you to know how valuable you are.

Lilith: She has no clue how to react. She doesn't even know what you did but her blood feels like ice with how many scars you have. She asks what happened and who hurt you. She starts tearing up when you reveal the truth. She ends up cuddling with you and tries to make you feel as secure as possible.

TOH WITH A IMMORTAL READER!

Okay so this wasn’t a specific request or anything so I’m just going to answer here with how I think each character would cope with having an immortal significant other. This got very long as I included basically everyone that’s on my masterlist… oops!

Also, to reiterate, these are just my thoughts so they’re very biased towards how I interpret the characters — and your relationship with the characters can be romantic or queer-platonic or similar depending on your preference!

Thoughts below the cut!

Adrian Graye-Vernworth

doesn’t even remotely believe you at first and will probably assume you’re joking. but once he does recognise your honesty then he’ll probably have something of a breakdown for a while and step back from your relationship — equal parts jealous of the life you’ve lived and horrified at the idea of just being a blip on the radar of your infinite life. it’s 50/50 whether this is a dealbreaker for him and he’ll either slowly inch back into your relationship or just break up with you because of the stress.

Alador Blight

alador is mostly neutral to your immortality when it comes to your relationship. like he’ll call on you for a second opinion when he’s working on something and will draw on your experience to further help his fellow witches — but he doesn’t really think about it any beyond that. though he does sometimes worry about you and how you’ll cope when he’s gone (because he knows that losing you would break him).

Amity Blight

when you tell her it’s quite the shock to the system and she doesn’t really know what to say or how to react. she’ll freeze up and you can see her thinking as she considers her response before she finally squeezes your hands and thanks you for telling her. she’d want to stay with you and wouldn’t want to break up, but she’d definitely have a few crises over the fact that you’ve lived so long before her and you will live so long after — but she also finds a small bit of comfort in the idea that she’ll never have to live without you.

Belos / Philip Wittebane

he’s been alive for far longer than he ever should have been because of his mission, so the idea of immortal entities isn’t difficult for him to believe. so upon finding out about your condition, he’s amazed but not necessarily startled by it — asking you about your origins and if there are more beings like you out there. if he truly cares about you, he’ll stick by you for as long as he’s able to keep his form stable — but if he doesn’t then he’ll just use you to find a way to complete his goal and lengthen his life further.

Boscha

boscha is someone else who wouldn’t believe you when you told her — going from genuine disbelief to shaky doubt to outright terrified denial and then through the stages of grief as she comes to terms with your condition. as sad as it sounds, this would probably end up being a deal breaker and would end your relationship as she would struggle too much with your past and future to be with you beyond that.

Camila Noceda

she doesn’t believe you at first, thinking that you’re just older than her as she’s seen some strange things but immortality is just so far beyond that. it takes her some time to come to terms with this but you do end up bonding over the losses you’ve experienced throughout your lives — you, your various lovers and friends, and her, luz’s father. she insists on learning your native language and teaching you hers so that you have an experience to remember her by.

Collector

having an immortal significant other would be the best case scenario for collector given his own life span. they wouldn’t have to worry about losing you prematurely and you’d be able to understand the issues he’s faced throughout their long life — whilst also having all the time in the world to grow with him and together as a couple. so they would be hopeful to have a spouse with this trait.

Darius Deamonne

this wouldn’t be a dealbreaker for darius but he would have a serious, long conversation about where you both stand and how your experiences would impact your relationship. he wouldn’t necessarily ask about your past relationships but he would be curious about older ages of magic on the isles and how other realms function — and especially how that can help the rebellion against belos.

Eberwolf

they’re pretty chill about the whole thing, honestly — like it rarely ever comes up in conversation so there’s no real impact on your relationship. you two just continue vibing together and spending the time you have wisely (by having fun) without the stresses such a realisation often bring. really they’re the best person you could have told — they only bring it up once or maybe twice and it’s only to make fun of you (lovingly, of course).

Eda Clawthorne

your immortality means that you have more knowledge of the world before belos and, thus, wild magic and magic as a whole. this means that eda will be looking to you to learn more about the owl beast, the history of those like her and if you ever came to know others with similar curses. she’d also insist on you teaching her about the people you loved and she’ll happily talk about raine (she’s far from the jealous type, but she is something of a gossip). she doesn’t care about making scrapbooks or taking pictures and prefers living in the moment with you and your family — living in the ‘doing’ world rather than focusing on capturing every little thing. you’ll look back on this with king and fleetingly wish you had more pictures, but the memory of her laugh and smile is tangible enough that neither of you feel like you’re missing out on too much.

Edric Blight

he will probably have something of an existential crisis about his own mortality when you tell him and would insist on finding a way to make himself live as long as you do. he starts comparing himself to the people you loved and lost and you’ll end up having to talk him into getting some help for it. your relationship will be permanently changed by this, but you will grow and heal with time — it’s just such a shock for him that he takes a bit of a mental health wobble whilst he comes to terms with it.

Emira Blight

em tends to bottle up her feelings a lot and will initially come off as very accepting and calm about the whole thing — but make no mistake this poor woman is one mislabelled jar of seasoning away from a breakdown. she’s now very aware of her own mortality and that she’s one of the probably dozens you’ve loved and lost and she’s absolutely terrified of being forgotten and lost to the sands of time. she’ll insist on keeping thorough, reliable records of your time together and by the time she’s old and you’re young you’ll be spending your last days together looking over them and laughing and crying and holding each other — finally ready to say goodbye.

Gus Porter

he will bombard you with questions about your life nonstop. did you ever live in the human realm? how has it changed? how has the boiling isles changed? there’s so much he wants to know and he has all the time in the world to listen to you talk — and he will note down everything you say and look at you with complete interest. so yeah he’ll still love you just as much as before, he’s just very nosy and eager to learn.

Hunter Wittebane

hunter is someone that would likely have a few hang-ups regarding true- and pseudo- immortality given his status as a clone/grimwalker. he’d have to do a lot of thinking regarding your relationship once he found out and a lot of serious conversations would be had about his natural lifespan compared to yours. in the end you would stay together and he’d be with you for a significant period of it (a few hundred years given him being similar to palismen) with him insisting that you don’t bring him back once he’s gone.

Lilith Clawthorne

she’d be absolutely entranced by your condition and would start fangirling over everything you must have experienced. you’ll end up getting interviewed and documented in every way possible as she asks about your history in and beyond the isles. though she might spend a bit more time on the deadwardian period than anything else (she’s biased, okay!).

Luz Noceda

luz would be amazed with you and would be eager to learn your story — as well as just about everything about you. she wants to learn your native language and hear about the cultures and people you knew throughout the years, especially if it involves some form of magic. she does, however, insist on making lots of memories with you and recording them so you never forget her.

Mattholomule

another one that doesn’t believe you but in mattholomule’s case he never ends up believing you. in his mind you’re just making a weird joke and there comes a point where you just stop trying to correct him and just live your life out with him — watching him grow old and grey whilst you remain the same. it’s on his death bed when he finally realises, but the life you shared was full of laughter and love so neither of you find it in yourselves to complain.

Odalia Blight

she is the type to use your status to her advantage which means that your relationship dynamic would inevitably shift. like she’d still care about you and be as affectionate as before, but she insists on showing you off and presenting herself as the wife of an immortal being in order to put herself above her fellow witches. you can tell her to knock it off. it will not work.

Raine Whispers

raine is heartbroken for you when they realise just how much you’ve lost throughout your life and they insist on memorialising your lost loved ones however they can. they help you write ballads for deceased lovers and learn to play songs from your home (even if their pronunciation is very shaky) because they care so deeply about you. they don’t talk about their concerns often, but they do ask that you remember them — and they leave you plenty of songs behind to do so.

Steve

as he’s quite possibly the most chilled out person in the boiling isles, steve doesn’t really care about the fact that you’re immortal. like when you tell him he’ll ask you a few questions about yourself and your past, but otherwise your relationship will stay the same and he’ll keep on keeping on. might expect the occasional cool story from your past, though, when you’ve both been drinking some apple blood.

Terra Snapdragon

she will most likely treat this as an opportunity to gain more power through your relationship. like she does care for you as you are her spouse at the end of the day, but she’s also incredibly power-hungry and having a partner who is immortal and has more experience than basically every other living entity is the ideal opportunity for her to get what she wants. so she definitely wouldn’t leave you, but the dynamic between the two of you would definitely change.

Viney

this wouldn’t be the end of your relationship but it would change a lot. viney insists on the two of you continuing to live in the moment together, focusing on making lasting memories doing things that you both love so that you never forget her. that means frequent fun dates, time spent teaching as a team, helping everyone you can and just spending time together doing what you love and having as much fun as you can whilst doing so.

Willow Park

willow is shocked by the revelation of your immortality but she doesn’t make too much of a big deal of it. like she will sit down with you and discuss anything you want to talk about, but generally your relationship remains unchanged. the only change is that she starts writing letters for you and hiding them — wanting to leave something behind for you once she’s gone.

She is very protective of those she cares about, so she'll deffo bail you out if you happen to get in trouble. She'll feel so bad if it's because of her shenanigans 😭

She likes to drag you into her nest randomly. In her mind, pretty things in nest. Y/N = pretty thing, pretty thing = in nest. Don't say anything about it, though, she'll get so embarrassed-

Lilith (Platonic)

Cool history nerd aunt? Hell yeah!

Definitely overloads you with random info at any point of the day. She cant help it, especially if you get her started on a topic thats special to her.

She'll talk for hours then, not that you mind :)

She does really appreciate it if you listen though, and even more if you engage and back up points.

Is definitely the type to cringe you out, especially in front of your friends. She's cool like that, even though you hate it-

If anything happens to you or you get in trouble, she gets so worried about you!!

I feel like she's the type of person where panic makes her do smart stuff quickly, so she'll instantly patch you up with care if you do get hurt.

I feel like because of her, you'd have a love-hate relationship with Hooty?

Like, you would protect each other to the max if needed but they totally team up against you all the time and it's so not fair >:(

Darius

Ah yes, our favourite peacock.

He treats you like royalty, so be aware of that.

Spa days? Spa days. You keep laughing whenever he puts on a face mask and he gets grumpy about it-

He acts like he's above it but let's be honest, he would totally love to gossip with you.

He somehow knows about everyone and everything in the castle so watch your back if your trying to hide anything from him (he tries not to peep if it's like, a surprise for him but he probably already knows)

You know if you get into an argument and your parents leave a bowl of fruit or something as an apology?

He definitely brings a mini abomination to bring you something.

He will eventually apologize face to face, but who likes confrontation? Not him.

Adrian

He's also super p(r)etty, and can get jealous quite easily. Make sure to give him lots of attention!

Surprisingly doesn't shovel talk Darius, he has some semblance of respect for him, but he just hates everyone equally. Apart from you! (And Terra. She absolutely terrifies him, don't leave them in a room together)

Take everything he says with a grain of salt though, he twists his stories a lot.

He is so affectionate, but in an awkward kinda teenage way.

Gives the best advice? Y'know how you can no what something tastes like just by smell and sight even if you've never had it? Like that but with advice.

He talks about you all the time to Mat!! He's super happy if you two get along, since you are the most important people in his life.

(if you don't though, immediate deal breaker. His little brother is so important to him, so sorry..)

This is random, but he has an obsession with candles.

One time you told him all that smoke wasn't good for the environment, so he bought "bio-degradable" ones from a certain pig at the night market..... He's trying I promise 😭

Motorcycle rides? Hell yeah! He won't ever say it (unless it comes up ofc) but his favourite rides are where there's not really any destination in mind, and your just driving around because.

Could you do a head cannon of Darius x fem!reader who’s a Clawthorne? Like they met at Hexside and were childhood sweethearts, and now they see one another at the rebellion meeting and have like a heart to heart moment. Just lots of awkward fluff lol (and only when you get the time ofc!!)

You were in Hexside Potions like your sisters. While you had your own interests you weren't sure how to feel about always being lumped in with Eda and Lilith. You liked having your two sisters around and being in the same track as them but always being told you weren't as good as Lilith or as innovative as Eda left you in a strange place in the family. Classic Middle Child syndrome even though you were the younger sibling.

Despite this you got along well with your sisters. Eda always took you on her wild adventures and Lilith helped you study and learn. They cared about you and wanted you to always know you could depend on them. While you were always compared to the two they made sure to spend time where your own interests and hobbies were explored. They wanted you to be your own person as much as you needed to be your own person.

You always had a deep longing to explore. You'd spend hours mapping out the secret parts of the school and wandering around the woods near your house. You wanted to see the Entire Isles someday and maybe even past that. While Eda and Lilith didn't understand your want to leave they did support your habits and enjoyed finding new places with you.

Darius while he befriended your sisters first, fell head over heels in love with you once you met. While you were always compared to your siblings both at home and at school, he taught you that you weren't them. He saw you for you and he never let you think he saw your sisters. While he saw ClawThorne traits in you, he knew you were all you and he loved you for that.

Whenever one of them had a fight (which was growing more frequent as graduation approached) and stormed off you always knew where they were going. Able to find and calm them down the quickest it became your job. Your sisters relied on you for balance and often aired their grievances with you, you were the glue that kept the family together through all the arguments and bitterness.

As you spent more time with Darius and your relationship went from friendly to flirty you realized what you needed and that was space. As you distanced yourself from your sisters and grew closer with Darius you told each other everything. He taught you all about his track and working with abominations. He showed you all of his tricks and gave you peaks into his special research he didn't let anyone else see. You spent your days discussing your potion track but also anything and everything that came up. Your mother's beast business, your father's palismen carving shop, his advanced studies at the castle. You could talk for hours and you often did, enjoying how much he listened.

You had a habit of being able to find lost things and knew all the hiding places in Bones Borough. So you spent your time going on new adventures with Darius. While he collected abomination supplies and tested new spells you told stories and mapped out your favorite areas. You always knew the best place to get ingredients for potions or the best places to lay low when one of your sister's got you in trouble.

As you became more and more distant from your sisters finding yourself and who you were, the curse happened and changed everything. While you didn't know Lilith was the one who cursed Eda you had your suspicions. Your older sister had taken an interest in the Night Market asking you questions that made you hate yourself for not paying closer attention. Your mother neglected you and Lilith focusing everything she had on Eda and her new curse. Your father did his best to reach out but was never the same after Eda attacked him in her Owl Beast form. You tried to be that glue again, to keep your family together but as Eda pushed you away and Lilith worked towards her dream of becoming an Emperor's Coven member you all grew apart. Eventually you couldn't take it anymore and knew after graduation you needed to leave.

You told Darius everything. He supported you, loved you, helped take care of you. But when you mentioned leaving, sailing far away to explore new places and coming back with your knowledge you realized how far you'd drifted from him while trying to keep your family together.

Sadly it was the very things you bonded over that inevitably split you up. While you had been focused on Edas curse and helping with Lilith's coven training he took his place mentoring under the Golden Guard. You didn't want to leave him but you found yourself wanting a different life. One away from your family and Bones Borough where you could grow and explore. You begged him to come with you but he said being the Head Witch of the Abomination Coven was too important to give up. You wanted to stay but knowing you'd be miserable, knowing your family had big plans, you left to give it all time. Hoping that you'd someday meet again.

The years pass and while you write him the occasional letter you haven't seen Darius in a long time. You had taken trips back to the Boiling Isles over the years to see your family and check on old friends whenever you turned in new maps you'd made but you avoided him. It hurt you to do so but you couldn't open that old wound, couldn't see him again lest you fall in love all over again.

Lilith always implored you to join her in the Emperor's coven with every trip home and Eda wanted you to come with her on wild adventures. Mom always asked if you'd eaten recently before giving you a giant meal and pestering you about visiting more while dad asked about your work and life on the sea. Much had changed and much stayed the same as the years passed and you came and went. You remained covenless and neutral escaping the system by constantly traveling and never staying in one place long.

The last time you returned however things were different. This time you stayed. Eda and Lilith finally working all of their feelings and secrets out. Lilith left the coven choosing Eda over her life as head witch. Your suspicions were confirmed and Lilith admitted to cursing Eda. They know shared the curse and we're openly plotting a rebellion. Beloses Day of Unity was not as Uniting as it sounded.

As you stayed with your sisters plotting against the throne and throwing a secret rebellion you were no longer the glue. You got to explore and be free without feeling trapped. Your sisters not needing you to resolve every argument and fix every problem they had. Luz your sisters new apprentice also helped keep the house peaceful and for once in a long time you felt everything could be right again. That it could go back to how it was.

You spent your days mapping out hiding places for the rebellion. Creating forts and safe houses with your magic and knowledge of hidden spaces in the Isles. While you were a small group now you felt unrest in the system. Others believed Belos was wrong as well, believed what he was saying and what he was planning were different. Believed the coven system was wrong. As the Day of Unity got closer you felt the unrest grow bigger.

You were right. Half the coven heads were on your side and as you learned this you couldn't believe you didn't see it earlier. You loved this man once upon a time a long time ago and here he was saving the day again. Seeing him in front of you all those feelings came flooding back, you were a young teen in love again. Before you could stop yourself you were running forwards and jumping into his open arms.

Darius stumbled back but didn't let go as you held onto each other. He tucked you under his chin clinging tightly to you and you felt hot tears spill down your cheeks. You had missed him. While you loved exploring and learning and sending the occasional letter back home you missed everything about him and that aching in your heart you'd felt all these years finally fell silent.

It was a tearful reunion one you knew couldn't last long but as you whispered apologies to each other both holding on for dear life you knew everything would be okay. Whatever happened at least you had each other.

i laid out my thoughts below - this list includes all of the characters i write for as organised alphabetically

note : these are only my headcanons so feel free to interpret otherwise or let me know your thoughts on the topic - i’d love to hear them!

[i’m also polyamorous so please don’t take this as an attack on poly people - this is just what vibe i get from each character]

Adrian Graye Vernworth

would be neutral ; would be alright with casual non-monogamy on your part and his, but probably wouldn’t be the happiest about having any metamours or thirds in your relationship - but could be convinced.

Alador Blight

would be fine with a polyamorous partner ; i feel like alador is probably monogamous but would be fine with you having other relationships - just don’t expect to have a shared third with him, he’s committed to you not someone else.

Amity Blight

would be fine with a polyamorous partner ; this would probably be a case of you being part of a triad with her and luz, so expect to have her as a metamour at least - she’d probably be okay with you branching out beyond that but prefers a closed poly relationship over anything else.

Boscha

wouldn’t be okay with having an open relationship ; is probably fine with a closed unit and having a metamour or two (though she probably wouldn’t play nice with them), but prefers monogamy for the most part - would only consider a poly dynamic if she really liked you.

Collector

would be perfectly fine with a polyamorous partner ; doesn’t expect you to be 100% romantically committed to them and doesn’t mind having any metamours so long as they can get along (and play with them) - just let them know what you want and they’ll accommodate you.

Darius Deamonne

neutral on the topic ; darius seems like someone who would be comfortable in a monogamous or polyamorous dynamic, so having a poly partner wouldn’t be much of an issue for him so long as everyone cleans up after themselves that is - 50/50 whether he’d have any other partners, though.

Edalyn Clawthorne

would tolerate a polyamorous relationship ; you’d probably end up being metamours with raine anyway if you’re with eda as they’re kind of a package deal, so she’d be more than up for dating a poly person.

Edric Blight

would be fine with a polyamorous partner ; it would take an adjustment period for him to get used to the dynamic, but ed would definitely branch out himself and have other relationships and casual flings of his own volition - may not reach out to his metamours, it depends on whether they’d ever actually meet in person.

Emira Blight

would accept a polyamorous partner ; em may very well have a slight polyamorous-lean to her and would comfortably settle into a closed triad dynamic, but would also accept a complete open relationship if that was what you wanted (though would probably only have one serious relationship outside of yours) - would probably make an effort with metamours to make things easier for you.

Hunter

confused but mostly supportive ; hunter grew up completely isolated from relationship things, so he probably wouldn’t give polyamory much thought until it was actively brought up - and even then, he’d likely be okay with you branching out but likely wouldn’t do very much himself (not just because he’s hopeless when it comes to flirting)

Lilith Clawthorne

happy to have a polyamorous partner ; just wants to see you happy, so while she’ll remain relatively monogamous she’s also happy to meet and get to know her metamours and help you plan things with them (especially if they’re as excited about the deadwardian era as she is).

Luz Noceda

probably also polyamorous herself ; you can’t be with luz without being somewhat close with amity as well, so having a poly partner would be ideal for luz - she’d also be the type to reach out to and befriend her metamours.

wouldn’t want a polyamorous relationship ; mattholomule probably wouldn’t be the happiest with sharing a lover with others or having other partners at all - so being with a poly person either wouldn’t happen at all or would only happen if he was very very interested in the person and willing to accept that part of them.

Odalia Blight

wouldn’t particularly care ; isn’t the most committed person romantically and wouldn’t care if you had other relationships so long as she was your nesting/anchor partner - but she won’t make nice with her metamours unless it would benefit you both.

Philip Wittebane / Emperor Belos

wouldn’t tolerate a polyamorous relationship ; this man is a puritan christian so he would probably be limited to strict monogamy, potentially being incredibly possessive over his partner - so polyamory is off the table with him.

Raine Whispers

would tolerate a polyamorous relationship ; raine is one of the most supportive people ever and would probably lean towards a closed poly relationship with eda and any metamours they’d have through you - so bring it up and they’d be open.

Steve

neutral on the idea ; steve is probably completely monogamous but wouldn’t expect you to change yourself for him - would also probably reach out to his metamours to plan surprises and gifts for you and things like that (pretty chill).

Terra Snapdragon

neutral on the topic ; wouldn’t mind you being polyamorous/having others but isn’t romantically poly herself - might have a few flings here and there but don’t expect to have metamours on her end.

Willow Park

neutral on the topic ; whilst i feel like willow is probably more monogamous-leaning, she likely wouldn’t be too bothered about having a poly partner and may even be happy to help you plan dates or get to know your other partners to some extent (would bring plants as a peace offering).

What do you mean Darius’s is the longest no it isn’t

Eda is the #coolmom as we all already know. As you may see from how she is with Luz, she is the kinda mom that lets you do pretty much whatever you want, and she while she may say she doesn’t agree with certain things you do, she lets you be an individual and do things yourself. She likes to joke around with you, and while she’s not the most emotional and vulnerable mom out there she will always be there for you when things get rough. She’s protective when she needs to be, even if at times she can be a bit much when things are getting really messy. She tries her absolute hardest to be a mom you’ll look up to, be proud of, or simply think is the coolest ever. It may take some time, but she will teach you all about the magic she’s learned, and hopefully you’ll be as amazing as her one day. You, King, and Luz are her world.

Lilith is not used to parenting, but you may find she tries her best as a mother. Her parenting style changes quite a bit as she changes more and becomes more of her truest self. If we’re talking on s1 terms, Lilith is kinda strict on you joining the emperors coven. Well, she tries to be. She won’t force you to but she heavily encourages you to join as she thinks it might be good for you. Or at the very least to join a coven, she doesn’t want you ending up like your aunt. You’re her little apprentice, and she teaches you all the magic she can think to. It’s hard at times to live up to her expectations at times, and having lilith as a mother can prove to be a bit difficult at times but she does her best to provide a good life for you. The more she grows and progresses, she realizes her wrongs and apologizes to you for putting such high expectations on you. Nowadays, she’s much more emotional, and instead of trying to bond with you by training with you, she’s bonding with you through nerdy mutual interests.

Raine as a parent is just.. so sweet. They are a sweetheart truly. If there’s ever a time they upset you they blame themselves so quickly. They’re such a good parent but they think they’re terrible over the littlest mistakes. They would do absolutely anything for you though, and they are actually the perfect parent if you’re autistic or have adhd or something along those lines because they are so good at keeping you motivated and stuff like that. They’re a good support group, and boy do they try their absolute hardest to impress you and show off! They won’t force you to be in any bard related classes but would be so happy if you took any. They’re very silly, and like to poke fun and tease you at times. They’re very protective of you as well, if their attitude towards Eda is to account for anything lol. They hate spending too much time away from you, out of all the parents this one is the clingiest despite being a coven head and they want to be there with you much more often. You also may find that Raine has a bit of a habit of talking about you to literally anyone ever.

Darius isn’t the most emotional dad in the world, nor does he try to be. He does however show he adores you in other aspects. He is extremely protective (the most protective one on this list, so that’s really saying something lol). However he’s not overbearing in the slightest nor does he let it cloud his judgement (too much), he does have fists in you being able to protect yourself. If you’re interested in abomination magic at all, he will help teach you when he has the time. He likes to pick out your outfits, especially when you’re younger. He gets so sad when you get too old for him to pick out your outfits everyday and decide you be your own person finally :( you’re getting old!!! Now I know out of all parents I said Raine is the clingiest but he’s a close second. He enjoys lazy spa days with you, even though they literally never happen except for his one day off all year. However on those less busy work days he will try to make it work. He likes doing your nails and stuff like that if you like doing that! Would be the kinda dad to go to everything, or try to. Games, recitals, etc! He also loves to tease and poke fun at you for dumb shit that he knows will embarrass you. There are these moments where he shows some vulnerability and is sweet to you btw, he’s still your dad after all. He truly adores you so much. Btw did I mention your brother is hunter.

but really enjoys playing pranks on other people with you

also he LOVES it when you take his picture. like he will spend 30 mins on one photo trying to pull the right face and get the right angle

uses his illusions to make you laugh when you have had a tough day

Emira blight~

this girl can FLIRT

she especially loves it in class when you are sat minding your buisiness and doing your work or whatever

like you could tell her that Belos is at the door with a warrant for her immediate execution and she will be like

"eh that's a problem for later, can you get me a drink doll?"

sometimes she treats you like her slave

but in the best way

she will gives you kisses in penance

whenever she goes out she brings you back cool trinkets she found interesting

you are luz's other parent at this point

luz always pretends to gag/vomit when you two kiss or hug

Eda would smile because she used to do that exact same thing at her age

hooty is always up in your personal business

but Eda sorts that out pretty quick

Lilith clawthorne~

literally a walking dictionary

she will randomly come up to you and spout a random fact she learnt that day

she thinks it cools and hopes you do too

when you are chilling out cuddling she will just randomly mutter

"did you know pigs orgasms last 30 minutes?"

(she definately would not say that but thats the only fact i know that is stuck in my mind so bear with)

she also likes to watch you use your magic and gives you some helpful tips

you also give her advice whenever she needs it, it's hard trying to deal with everything herself sometimes so she enjoys it when she just gets to rant about her stress while you stroke her hair

she ADORES it when you stroke her hair

it's really comforting for her

you defo call her "lils"

and she loves it

The confession was sort of a mutual thing

You two confessed at the same time and it wasn't planned at allq

Luz is the kind of girlfriend to do all the silly things with.

She loves taking you on spontaneous dates and do random activities that don't really make sense

She loves to teach you how to use glyphs

Luz also loves to read her favorite book series with you

Nature dates are her favorite because it just means alone time between you two and nothing to overwhelming

She's great to have around when you're sad

Brings you anything you need

Loves to cuddle you when you're sad or crying

Words of affirmation are her best friend

Sometimes she thinks you're better than her and its a thought she doesn't like having

Will go to you about it though and you two talk it out

Cringy movie marathons are another thing you two would do together

When she's sad, she doesn't tell you on account of showing her feelings is something she struggles with

You do notice her patterns of when she is sad though after a few months of being with her

You confront her about it and help her talk it out

After you both watch silly internet videos and try to see which of your friends is like them the most

Her mom things you're the sweetest ever and loves to talk to you

She thinks of you as like a guard for her daughter emotionally wise

As in you report to her if Luz is feeling upset, only with Luz permission to share though

AMITY

You were the one who had to make the first move and confess because she didn't know how nor could she bring herself too

She thought you would find her weird at first but was in shock when you told her that you liked her

Amity is the kind of girlfriend who likes to chill at home or in a secluded spot like a library

Physical touch startles her so handholding is a good start for her

When you first kissed her though she lost her mind and tried to think of a reason why you would do that

Amity loves to read to you and tell you stories of her family, mainly Ed and Emira's shenanigans

She doesn't mind any date idea as long as your there with her

If you have pierced ears then you would get matching earrings

You two paint each other's nails and just talk

Amity doesn't know what to do when your sad since she wasn't taught how to healthily deal with them

But she will try and hug you and talk it out

Its hard for her to face you when she finds herself feeling sad

She doesn't want you to think she's weak and make fun or her

But once you catch on you reassure her and comfort her

She finds it weird and self deprecates herself in front of you saying she's weak for making you put up with her

You show her silly cat videos to help her feel better

She tries to deny the fact that it helps her, but it really does

She's afraid of you meeting her family but mostly her mom

You first met her dad and he actually liked you and would vouch for you if you were to meet Amity's mom

Whenever her mom asks about you, Amity sort of panics and tries to avoid her whenever she sees her when your with her

WILLOW

She actually confessed to you first, but it was accidental

Willow just came up to you and you two started debating who liked who more and she accidentally said she loved you

Both of you were blushing so hard and so you said she won

As a reward she won you as a partner

It was a really cute interaction in all actuality

Forest dates and butterfly gardens are a must for her

She loves to gush about all the different plants that are around you both

She's the kind of girlfriend to just take things very slow and calm taking in consideration your boundaries

Whenever your sad she always brings you bright and color flowers that had silly inspirational quotes Luz gave her

She would also teach you coping skills that helped her

If she's sad, she's not afraid to tell you

She is really open about what is making her upset and you help her talk through it

Sometimes you help her go through the coping skills she taught you

To help her feel better you hold her and tell her how amazing she is

You two are plant parents all the way and you give the plants silly names

Once you named one of her plants Deryl that was when all the silly name saga started

Adores when you call her a witch and shut down any off hand comments about her

Her parents absolutely adore you

She was a bit embarrassed at first because they were telling you stories about when she was a younger kid

Warmed up to you and her parents interacting and loved having you over and talking with them

GUS

He confessed to you first with Willow's help

It was planned out and sort of excessive but it was the best way he could get his message across

Lots of illusions were used as decorations and words that said "I Like You Y/n!" with firework hearts

You accepted his confession of course and he was over the moon

Gus is the type of boyfriend to want to go to amusement parks and concerts with you

Or just simple Cafes that he finds interesting

It all depends on your mood in all honesty

He loves to show you all his illusions he has been working on and all the goofy things you request becoming a reality

He loves hearing you praise him for all the hard work he has been doing since it's something he sort of needs to hear

Not many tell him that but hearing it from you is so heart warming

When you're sad, he catches on right away

He makes silly little illusions of things that make you giggle

And sometimes mini Guses to remind you how much he cares and loves you

When he's sad its hard to catch

He is sort of a master at hiding his emotions and isolating himself from others so no one can really catch him crying

But when you do find him you are quick to reassure him and help him breathe

He appreciates you greatly for being there and helping him through hard times

Meeting his dad was a tough thing to do

Since Gus's dad seemed to be pretty busy with work, it was hard to catch him on a free day

But once you and his dad did meet, it was an instant click and Gus is glad his dad approves of you

HUNTER

You had to be the one to confess first

There was no way Hunter would be able to confess to you, especially with his pride

So when Flapjack was pushing Hunter to a place that wasn't near the city he was concerned

But when Hunter saw you he was put at ease

Literally cried when you told him you liked him more than a friend

Hunter is the type of boyfriend who would be happy just with you holding his hand anywhere

No matter where you go, he's content as long as you're there with him

He sometimes get insecure because there isn't much he can show you that is cool magic wise

But when there's a fight and your there, he does show off a bit

His top priority would be protecting you

Whenever you're sad, he is unsure what to do

The only thing he can really do is hug you and just shut down any negative thoughts you have about yourself with compliments

When it comes to him though, he is scared to be sad in front of you

He was taught to hold his emotions in and not be a burden to any one

So when you confront him about it, he just breaks and spills, with much regret of doing so

However you help him calm down and talk about what has been bothering him

You bring him outside to just watch the sky to help him feel better

He is afraid of his uncle finding out abut him being with you

Mainly because of the fear of his uncle hurting you or using you as a manipulative mechanism

So never ever going to meet Belos and he prefers to keep it that way

KING

Being King's bestest friend means that you are his number one

And being his number one means you being his 2nd in command

He loves when you play with him and give him 100% of your attention

His brain explodes when you actually want to learn about demons

Some one is actually interested and he didn't have to beg them?

He does make you take notes but nothing serious

He does get sort of jealous when someone else occupies your time but he has his ways of distracting you

Plan A being throwing Francois at you and asking if you've seen his plush

Plan B would be sitting in your lap and just napping there forcing you to stay there with him

You just giggle at his antics because its not hurting anyone and he just wants your attention

Loves when you include him in your activities

Loves it more when you don't get upset at him for making simple mistakes

Cuddles are a must when you're sad

As well as a tea party with all his henchmen

If its a matter he can't really help with or has no knowledge in then he'll get Luz or Eda, whoever is closest and not occupied with something

Whenever he's sad, you are the first to know because he runs to you

He hugs you and you cuddle him really closely

You don't leave him alone until he feels better and when he does he still clings to you

Eda and Lilith adore you and thank you for keeping King busy while they have important things to do

It was odd that you happened to worm your way into Eda's heart so fast

It was quicker than Luz and that's saying something

She loves having you around and not just because you're free labor to her

She feels at ease a lot more with you around and like the curse isn't there

She was scared when you first saw her owl beast form

You weren't scared of her though and listened to Luz to have the cure close to you

Whenever you go on adventures, she isn't far behind watching over you

She is always ready to jump in if a situation gets violent

People see you as her keeper in a sense of keeper her chilled out

She considers you her child at this point

She'll drag you to do chores with her or for her, it all depends on her mood

Whenever Eda's around people can expect you to not be so far behind

People also know to leave you alone unless they want an angry owl lady on their hands

Whenever your sad she ties to bring you whatever comfort she can

But of course is a bit awkward when it comes to hugging

Bring in the cheesy words Luz taught her

When ever she is sad though she hides it real well

It takes a lot of convincing to talk about her feelings but when she does you are there to bring whatever comfort you can

Eda knows King loves being with you and considers you his sibling

Lilith is concerned about you spending so much time with Eda and how she might be impacting you but none the less she thinks your a good kid and you'll make the right decisions (which you wont)

LILITH

Its even a bigger surprise to get Lilith to become so attached to you

She loves how attentive you are

You actually take interest in subjects that she learns and reads about

She teaches you all sorts of things and of course notes are a must

Lilith just doesn't want you to forget the information you were given

Loves to take you on small outings to little cafes and chores

She considered you her child after a month of knowing you

Protecting you is a must

Oh you're going somewhere? Well not without Lilith

It takes a lot to convince her to stay put and when she says she'll stay, she's actually lurking spying on you

If someone even lays one harmful hand on you she is out and ready to fight

You somehow get Lilith to lighten up and agree to more things that she really wouldn't

When Lilith finds you sad she is immediately there with a bunch of blankets and ice cream

Lilith is actually a really good person to gossip too and she always makes it funny

Finding her sad is a really rare thing though

She is used to dealing with her emotions on her own and that hasn't changed

But on the rare occasions where she shows you some vulnerability you give her all the comfort you can

Hugs and cuddles as well as words of affirmation and she is so grateful for you

Eda is glad that you're helping Lilith out of her stiff shell a bit and showing more emotion than she used too

Hooty becomes your closest friend as well as King but Hooty more because Lilith drags you to their conversations when she visits The Owl House
