Reading through @badaziraphaletakes inspired me to make a post about reasons:
Why people tend to choose Crowley of Aziraphale, and, consequently, think Aziraphale is bad
This might be a long post, i'll cover some topics and i might get all over the place at some point! But please be patient! Can i get into it?
Inversion of values
When first watching Good Omens, you might expect a strong inversion of values, that Heaven is bad and Hell is good, angels are the oppresors and demons the victims
It is mostly religiously (religious trauma) motivated, aka "christianity is a fucking bullshit" motivated, to expect seeing the ones who calls themselfs good (Heaven, who we interpret as Christian religious figures) be actually bad (wich, in real life, they tend to be) and, the ones they cast out as evil and sinful (Hell, wich we interpret in this case as anyone the church calls sinful, like the queer comunity) to be good and innocent and just different, it makes us feel emphatic for them, even seeing that they are, indeed, bad
I believe some people just dont want to accept it, they want to believe the angels are inherently bad and the demons just questioned their bad ways
But they arent, if anything ALL angels and demons are naturally good and innocent, "oh but Gabriel!" He was naturally good, we saw it, the same with Michael and Uriel too, they're all just tainted by the strong grip Heaven demands for them to have; in episode 1 season 2, we see both Crowley (as starmaker) and Aziraphale being totally innocent and adorable, they're good by nature, no one in the story is actually evil
When this inversion of values we wish for isnt fulfilled, it might cause an annoyance, i know a lot of people who dont accept it, and just make it up because... well is expected!
Queerness

Crowley is "more queer" than Aziraphale, at least thats how people see it as, in fics too, how many times Crowley gender is explored, with pronouns and labels and identities? While the more i saw for Aziraphale was a vulva or they/them pronouns, and never in a human au! Aziraphale is depicted and seem as a cisgender male
I have seem even people saying Aziraphale have internalized homophobia! I- how??

Need for a villain and favorites
As we saw, people that hate Aziraphale choose to see Heaven as evil, as the villain, and that is also followed by many people who dont hate Aziraphale! Well, might i say that... we dont have a real villain in Good Omens? The angels arent evil for wishing to follow what they believe to be God's plan, nor for deminishing humanity- but i'm getting ahead of myself here!
The need to see Heaven as inhetently bad, the big bad villain, makes people see Aziraphale, going back there "freely", hurting Crowley's feelings, saying Hell/demons are the bad guys (wich they ARE?? There is not an inversion of values!) As him being evil, as him going to the side of the villain instesd of choosing Crowley, going back to CROWLEY'S abusers, not his, not theirs, Crowley
I do believe humans have a natural need to have favorites, when you're a kid is always "wich caracther of this cartoon am i?" and later is always "wich do i relate to more? Wich do i like more?", and people choose Crowley for all those reasons above and probally some personal ones too
So! As a small conclusion:
People choose to prefer Crowley, they choose to see Crowley as better because he's a "good demon", he's the victim that fell from Heaven and hates Hell, he's the queer caracther, he's kind and genuine and helps Aziraphale and have a car he loves
Because of the idea that Aziraphale is: A) opposite to Crowley; B) an Angel! (The abusers! The bad guys! The evil!); C) a BAD angel for that matter, he's selfish and mundane and comes across as rude to Crowley (because he acts so fucking autistic too!); people tend to DISLIKE Aziraphale, small simple minded people, but people nonetheless
I know the whole post is a bit over the place, it might sound confusing here and there, but i really wanted to put all this together to try and understand why people hate Aziraphale
I though maybe this can give a small input on why people think like that, it sures helps me to understand how they think that and what they mean by their terrible takes! I guess is mostly them being naive
Oh! You know how in the 2000's the media was demonizing femininity by having blond, pink, feminine villains in their high school romances? How we, to this day, tend to see feminine girls as fake, vulgar, naive, etc? How most teen girls go through a "not like other girls phase" because of that?
Same principle! Is the same reason for why they see Heaven and Aziraphale as evil

Tips For Vtubers
Howdy there, I’m Liv and I’m a vtuber much like you, but I’ve been here the whole time so I’m here to compile stuff for you to help make your transition less scary.
To start, here’s is a post with a lot of tips for general tumblr use and here’s one for giving your blog a custom theme.
Beyond that here’s other things that aren’t mentioned but are gonna be relevant for you:
If you’re coming back to tumblr know that you can’t follow from your sideblog, if you want to follow back it will be from your main, as will your likes, replies, asks. Decide what to do with this information now before you settle into a blog.
Fully explore the settings, there's a ton of stuff hiding in there. AND do it on PC at least once, some stuff is not in the app.
Blogs have individual block lists, no idk why either. So if you want someone banned from everything you need to do that manually.
Also enable tumblr Labs! It’s got reblog graphs which are rad (my beloved orbs) And alternate dashboards, the Blog Subscriptions one is my fave because it means all you have to do is turn on notifications to get all your fave guys in one dashboard.
Contrary to popular belief there is still a porn and adult content community here, if you want to get anywhere near them you have to have age in bio or they’ll smite you. EDIT: I posted more about how to navigate lewdposting here.
Tiktok embeds don't play nice with tumblr for some reason, if you also do tiktok then just reupload your videos and link your account there underneath.
The link post type will show up for your followers but there’s a chance it won’t show up in any tags, so don’t do going live posts like that.
BUT you can straight up embed your stream into your posts! As long as you're using the New Post Editor you should see this menu:
Click the video camera, link to your twitch and bam. There it is. You can also do this with the video post type! If you're ever worried about your post format getting bonked just go through the tags and see what posts that DO make it are doing. Together we can overcome spaghetti code.
General "tumblr culture" is to not comment on posts but its not one thats set in stone, your fellow small vtuber account is probably dying for interaction so comment on posts! scream in the tags! send funny asks! Getting interaction right now is going to be a big comfort during a weird time.
Oh yeah we have ask boxes built in, no marshmallow needed.
ALSO we have pinned posts just like twitter, but as long as you want! Put your ref & socials & art tag (yes you can keep your fanart tags) & your minors DNI & a picture of your cat if you want.
OH I do suggest picking out tags for your personal content if you plan to also do reblogging, makes it easy for newcomers to find what you're doing.
#vtuber and #indie vtuber are full of fanart for the big guys. If you wanna find each other use #vtuber uprising
Okay this post is getting so long but final tip: check out custom pages. They're on the custom theme menu and they're basically mini webpages on your blog that can have their own coding. You can do Literally Whatever. Lore! Credit page! Ref sheets! I once put a choose your own adventure where you navigated by clicking specific parts of a picture on tumblr pages. I Mean Anything.

EDIT: One more thing, lolisho shit Does Not Fly here. They are some of the only tags that tumblr has actually shadowbanned and there is a reporting criteria for it to get taken down. It also doesn't fly on my blog! Begone!!

All I saw what the art of the Blue Spirit (Dark Water Spirit?) from your blog (was it you who made it? its fucking fantastic) and Ive lost my mind. I wanna know all about your crincly blue dude. pls. they look amazing. i need to know more

i know that like the only similarities are like the thicker eyebrows, tusk (although upside down) and a stronger nose and well.. that they are BLUE.

some short points about my version of him:
(one day kuruk will get his own book and all of this is pointless but i don't care these are my headcanons and don't have to be true!)
He belongs to Tui and La's court. He is a water spirit, kind of the same rank as the painted lady, but not tied to one single river. If the Spirits of the Moon and Ocean give a command, he follows. (Not like the fish command much)
he is OLD! Which is why he is featured in the Love Among the Dragons and Earth Kingdom opera plays. (He is probably a gigantic romantic sap and can't help himself but play matchmaker) contrary to popular belive. No he can't turn spirits mortal, but he sure can kick their asses out the spirit world. And the dragon emperor deserved it! No clue what the empress saw in that guy)
if he was born a spirit or made a spirit is rather unclear because he regularly invents a new origin story for himself. "Oh i was a poor fisherman that caught a withe fish, and then the ocean roared and drowned me, because i accidentally caught the moon. And as an apology, they turned me immortal", "i was an earth bender that was born way too close to water", "My mom is a dragon, and my father is a water serpent. Yeah, I don't imagine how they did conceive me... " "you see that water whirlpool there? Thats where i jumped out of!"
he travels a lot. Dissolves into rivers to reform in another place in an instant. He has a big soft spot for humans, especially children. He lives for how creative they are in the way they play, turn the night into days, and danger into fun.
He is a bit up sad over being used as a tool to cause fear in kids to be careful around deep waters, though.
There is this uneasy feeling you get when looking into deep, dark waters. But it's not something evil. He is a warning that, as fun as water can get, there is danger in it.
i like to give him a bigger role with avatar Kuruk. During the time Kuruk distanced himself from his friends and kept on fighting on his own spirits, corrupting and deterioating his spirit and health. Blue popped up. Kuruk saw him first like all the other spririts only with time reluncantly accepting him as an ally.
Blue is on Kuruk's side when they try to retrieve Umi's face from Koh. He loses the fight and gets his face stolen in the process. Since then, the dark water spirits had existed in plays and occasionally as a cover for a fire nation prince to cause mischief.
he never got along with Koh. Their views on humans are different. Also blue usually being in the way of koh.

How-To Tumblr for Dtblr :]
So, I've seen a few newer blogs start arriving from people who have never used this site/app before and I just thought this might be helpful to get started because it's quite a bit different from Twitter.
To start, the dtblr community has dwindled since last year so there are literally only about 500 of us left I'd say and thats being generous and including lurkers. Speaking of that, lurking is a great way to learn how to use this site! Follow a few blogs or lurk in the main tags for a while to get vibe of how people use this app. When you find a blog you like, see who they are reblogging from and check out their blogs, its a good way to find people to follow since people like to keep their follow lists private.
Making your blog!
First things first, get a pfp and a basic bio at least or people will assume you are a bot and block you if you follow them.
On tumblr we have Main Blogs and Side Blogs. Everyone has one Main Blog, and you can add a bunch of side blogs, people use them to keep their fandoms separate and to save urls (don't hoard too many urls on blogs you dont use, it kinda sucks and is technically not allowed, but around 5-10 isnt so bad). A lot of people also might use side blogs because they dont want to get blocked by someone they are following or liking from that is in a different fandom. Like, if you wanted to follow blogs from other mcyt communities, I would stongly recommend making a dtblr side blog instead of a main, because you will most likely get blocked.
There are a couple of differences between Main and Side blogs though, here is a link to the main tumblr help post about them but a couple quick things here-
-Main blogs are where you (and everyone else if you don't turn it off!) can see your likes and follows. Everything that you like or follow will show up under your Main blogs url, so keep that in mind.
-Main blogs are what you send Asks off anon from, you cannot send asks using your Side blogs url, so again, keep that in mind.
-When you block someone, it will only block them from your Main blog, you have to manually type in their url to block them from your Side blog. You can also ip block Anons who are being shitty or harassing you.
Lots of people will have Pinned Posts that you can basically use a longer bio (I recommend making them non-rebloggable). You don't have to make one and it's not weird if you don't, but you have the option. Lots of people have 'Blinkies' in their pinned, you can make them here if you want.
Tips for your settings!
-Hide your Likes and Follows!!! Even if you come from Twitter and you think it's not a big deal, it's kinda seen as really weird here to leave them visible and it makes you stand out and people weary of you, plus you should enjoy the privacy!
-Under Account, turn off 'show top posts'. You can also choose whether or not you want to allow Anon asks from there. if you are getting hate, I recommend turning them off for a while.
-I recommend going to Dashboard Preferences and turning Off 'best stuff first', and then turning On'shorten long posts' and 'snooze Tumblr live' (you will have to snooze tumblr live every 7 days but trust me basically everyone does it).
-This is actually pretty important, go to Account settings and turn OFF 'let people blaze my posts'. That feature allows other users, without your permission, to pay to have your post boosted as an ad basically to a certain amount of random people. this can even be done with your asks, and it has the potential to cause harassment and I strongly recommend turning it off.
-Under Account setting and Content you see, that is where you will be able to filter out tags that you do not want to see. For neg I would recommend, #neg #negativity, #discourse etc. If you don't want to see certain ships you can filter those. For stuff like spiders, I would do a couple variations of #spiders, #tw spiders, #spiders tw #arachnaphobia, etc. because there are a lot of different ways people will end up tagging stuff like that.
This is also where you can change your Mature Content setting. They default to Hide, so set those as you prefer. You can Hide, Blur, or Show.
This is a link to the x-kit extension, it has a lot of customizable settings for tumblr, but it can only be used on desktop and requires a little more knowledge about using the site but its here if you want it.
I think those are the most important things, other settings can be left up to your personal preference (try out the color palettes to find your favorite!!)
Tags!
-Tags and Tagging are super useful on Tumblr! This post has a very good rundown of how Dtblr uses Tags to filter content for the community, pls learn these they will help you a bunch!!!
-When you make a post, the first 5 tags are the most important, they will show up in the tracked tags. So make sure you use community/main tags first if you want your posts to be seen, this is most useful for artists or gif makers etc.
-When you reblog a post, the tags are just for adding commentary and organizing your blog, you dont have to worry about your tags from a reblogged post ending up in the main tag searches. Talking in the tags is very fun and a great way for even shy people (me) to interact with the community. They are used a lot more than Replies, it tends to be mostly mutuals that use Replies on each other's posts, but it wouldn't exactly be weird if you did choose to comment in the Replies.
-You can use custom tags for your blog! Lots of people come up with custom tags for their asks, their personal posts, just pick your favorite variation of gnf, gogy, gogs, georgie, and many more to organize your george gifs! and its also pretty common to see someone post a . (just a lone period or comma) and then just rant in the tags. people do that if they want to vent or something but dont want it to be reblogged.
- if someone reblogs a post and tags it with 'prev' they are referring to the tags of the person they reblogged the post from, the 'previous' tags. (tumblr recently nuked this feature with the new update but you might still see people doing it, its just super hard to find the source now)
-#709 and #404 are common tags that people will use on posts from outside of dtblr to stay covert/subtle so as to not get mass blocked when referencing our ccs. #709 refers to Dream and #404 to George.
-Tagging posts as #nsfw has the potential to get your blog restricted. I recommend using #nsft (not safe for tumblr) or #not sfw instead.
Etiquette
Liking and Reblogging- Tumblr does not have an algorithm, liking posts is basically just bookmarking them. If you want to support writers/authors/gif makers etc. PLEASE reblog their posts, it is the only way for them to gain visibility. You can even make sideblogs specifically for reblogging art or fanfiction if you wanted to.
We don't make call-out posts here. If you have a problem with a user, block them, end of story.
And we do NOT interact with Anti or Critblr posts. Critblr is tumblrs Leaktwt, do not interact with them, follow them, reblog from them, or bring attention to them, you will be blocked by the majority of the community if you do. We are very small, and interacting with anti posts will do absolutely nothing but bring us all mass harassment and invite them to start interacting with us. Pls do not screenshot their posts and share those either especially with the url visible. If you feel the need to have discussions with antis, do so on twitter.
Please ask before screenshotting and uploading someone's post to twitter. A lot of us are not comfortable with it at all, and some of us are okay with it as long as you leave out the url but please ask because we generally dont want our stuff on that platform where CCs could potentially see it.

The whole Daniel thing has made me think about how drivers that say dumb misogynistic things get treated by the fandom. If you're talking about Hulkenberg or Perez, then they're ruthlessly mocked for it (and rightly so imo), but if its a driver people like, like Danny Ric or Kimi, people seem to bend over backwards to defend them and find reasons to justify what they said. Idk, is it that both are part of very popular ships, where Hulkenberg and Perez aren't? I have a lot of thoughts, but I also have the flu so they're not the most organised (I hope ur having a good evening I love ur blog)
Hello! I think it comes down to the strength of their fanbase and their popularity in general.
Now, i can only speak about the ecosystem.of tumblr because i refuse to go near shitter in general and instagram in any fandomish way, and i do have these debated with my irls sometimes, so keep that in mind.
Firstly, Daniel, Kimi, even Seb (i refuse to leave out my misogynistic king of spewing dumb shit about grid girls who did, eventually, learn better, or at least finally learned not to say that shit in public) are very well liked, popular drivers. Namely, only two of them are wdcs and the third one never will be, but Daniel does have a devout fanbase and his former talent and potential as a driver must be acknowledged. With all those things come the fanbases, which are all prone to idolising their blorbo in any and every motherfucking way possible. Nobody is immune to this and obviously you'll be more ready to make excuses for your pathetic meow meow than for someone you dislike; thats a normal human sports fan fact. However if you look at Checo and Hulkenberg (there is only One True Nico in the sport and his surname is Girlbossberg), their fanbases aren't big, if they even exist on tumblr, or so I believe, unless I have missed a whole part of fandom existing somewhere in my bubble?
Moving on.
Now however, i do think there's difference in fanbases too ngl. We obviously dont all like the same drivers, some are more appealing to whatever attracts us than the others, and let's just say that birds of feather flock together and leave it at that. (A.N. so many people are sooooo wromg about their characterisations of most drivers but that's also my personal biases at work.)
So what I see here is that more popular drivera will have more fans quantiatively first and foremost (qualitative analysis: cancelled because of the imminent death of the author), ans those fans will be ready to take up arms and fight for their (white) boy millionaire. This brings the fans into some lovely personally-induced logical fallacies, like we've seen in the past couple od days. Now, im not gonna preach moral.high ground here like some because i am well aware of what kind of men thse people are (context is everything beloveds), but i will say this. People are prone to so many conscious amd unconscious biases which take a long while to dismantle. That's not an easy job, and when you project onto someone (valid) and develop a personal (to you, and not to generalise but oftentimes also a parasocial) relationship with a celebrity, you start taking things personally. Now this, id say from personal experience, would be the time to go take a walk. Snort some grass. Ride a bull and all that.
Amyways my point was, round the elbow to the wrist (or was it shoulder? i cant rmbr), that people will always rather defend their fave, no matter how shitty he is, than whichever driver they dislike. This is not uncommon; this is human nature.
I will add that a lot of fans (i dont know anything about their demographic) don't know the line between "following/thirsting over a hot dude" and the dangers of a parasocial relationship. My issue with it all is that what they do when thay feel threatened is deflect blame feom their special boy to literally anyone else, and that results in everyone who disagrees with this apparent popular consensus becomes a target of a witch hunt. Some people would rather go around attacking other's well-crticulated and above all well acessible target. Posts and people than call -- OKAY up to this point is what I wrote last night before I passed out like a log. I havent changed anything, which shows in lacking any sentence structure and missing words, so let me continue because I vaguely remember what I wanted to say.
My problem is that it's not personal, and people act as it is because they personally identify their own morals with who they like. And when they feel as if their personality is threatened or judged, they lash out, usually while taking some sort of artificially imagined "moral high ground". That results in hate anons in inboxes of anyone who disagrees with them and calls of "well you never liked him anyway so now you have an excuse". Like baby, no. Don't project your feelings on me. I know how shitty my special boys are, and i am capable of criticising them and stanning them while acknowledging the ways in which they suck. I dont equate my morals and ethics with stanning some boys who drive around in circles.
I think i lost the plot there by the end. Bottom line - when youre already disliked, not many people will rally to defend you, regardless of the fact you say exactly the same shit as someone who is beloved to people. :)

Here's the thing. I don't really have any set feelings on any of the stuff that has been going in. I do hope that Froy and Richard are still apart of each other's lives, even if they may be on like a slight break or something. Or if they're all in some big group thing, I don't give a shit. I don't like how some people are trying to shade Richard. Saying that "Well, at least now Froy has someone who publicly acknowledges him", which, one, how someone acts in public or on social media isn't the biggest indicator of how they really are. I mean, they're are tons of very public couples that looked happy and then were either abusive or just completely miserable behind screens. Two, while I would say that whether or not someone is closeted is a big deal or not, Richard was neither out nor really closeted. He never tried to deny his relationship with anyone. He simply just didn't talk about it, which is his fucking right. And yes, some of the privacy stuff may have been about his sexuality, which I don't blame him for. Hollywood is still an extremely homophobic place. Either way, I am sick of people treating Richard as if he trapped Froy in this relationship and treated him like crap. Maybe they have broken up, but from what little we would see of them, they seemed happy. I hope they both continue to be happy whether thats together or apart, or maybe apart for a while, and then back together at some point. Due to them still following each other's families, I will say I still think they are pretty close because I think even they wouldn't be mature enough to continue following each other's families if they weren't at least somewhat close still. Sorry for rambling and the long sentences. This was all just bugging the shit out of me. I will say whatever their relationship is, this blog is amazing, and I thank you for creating it.❤️❤️
this is literally most of what i’ve been thinking and talking with people about privately. the way people in online fandom spaces of any kind - gay and straight fans! - immediately jump to vilifying richard is infuriating. you don’t know, we don’t know what goes on in their private lives and in the history of their relationship. and i agree with you that Richard isn’t not “out” he just doesn’t want anything about his personal life to be documented or commodified on social media. that has NOTHING to do with how he treats Froy intimately and in their real lives and is no indicator of…like, anything. not anything real. exchanging instagram comments and emojis doesn’t change that and doesn’t define a real adult relationship!! I feel like we’ve been saying this same thing forever. anyway. herein lies the peril of getting invested in real life people and their relationships. they’re real and things happen, people change, people outgrow…I’m not saying that’s what happened here but clearly the side of Froy we got used to seeing in 2020-2022 wasn’t the one that was going out dancing twice a week. not even going to clubs and bars but literally this man is dancing and it looks like good fun. 💃🏻

when comes the dawn monthly update {12.31.2023}
HAPPY NEW YEARS TO ALL!! And here's to the final update post of 2023 :D
THIS MONTH'S UPDATE
DRAFT → 10,308 words! I made it past the 10k milestone guys! It's not a lot, but considering how flaky I am with writing that's more than I expected. I've also convinced myself to try writing more scenes out of order so I don't get so bogged down with all of the transitions/connecting scenes. It's helped keep my motivation up!
OUTLINE → Made some big deviations from my outline when I was drafting...mainly that I wasn't following it.
NEW POV WHO THIS? → Major character NIKEPHOROS (aka NIKE) has just been upgraded to POV CHARACTER STATUS! I realized that there were some aspects of the plot that, realistically, Fenice would not have the opportunity to experience unless I create some really contrived circumstances. So to fix that, I'm recruiting Nike as the POV character to get really deep into the whole Hesperian rebellion mess. It does make me worried that readers may start perceiving the two leads being married as the start of a romance when...it honestly isn't.
BLOG STUFF → I posted a simplified family tree of the vi Aetiers! Simplified since it only goes back a few generations, and also because I omitted like 90% of the consorts that married into the family and their children
UPCOMING
I'll be cleaning up my taglist in January! I'll also be consolidating my general taglist and my WCTD taglist, since WCTD will be my main focus for 2024.

Reach 50k words on the draft!
Create and stick to a manageable writing schedule. My stretch goal is to have a 30 minute-1hr writing session every day, but realistically I want to try having a writing session for at least 4 days of the week. I might even log them here to keep myself accountable
To give myself permission to just write, even if it's mediocre.
Well, that's it from me. We'll see where all of these goals end up at the end of next year.

im a hufflepuff with a white stallion as my patronus. my love language is gift giving in terms of giving, but if we're talking about receiving i think mine would be words of affirmation and act of service? like, idk why but the simplest supportive words like "i believe you can do it," could make me cry (my teacher once said that to me and i accidentally cried in front of her lmfao)
im an introvert, and sometimes im shy but i dont think to the point where i avoid people. half of me is shy but the other part of me got a little thrill from meeting new people. it's scary at first, but i think it's interesting to make new friends and get to know people. i realised i tend to reached out to people first, after thoroughly study them from afar lol. i'd say i have a big circle of friends, but a small circle of precious, treasured besties.
i like to take pictures and videos. most of the time if i took videos of my friends and i, i'd edit the videos for memories (the type with background musics and such)
i like to style myself. i love doing my hair and my style of outfit is the feminine type, i love wearing dresses and skirts. i do it for myself, it feels good somehow
if i were in hogwarts (we are indeed hogwarts students but whatever) subjects that i'd excel in are charms and herbology. potions would be the subject i'd least like

You reached out to Tom first. To be fair, he acts cool and arrogant, and never shows any interest that he might have in others.
You found him intriguing in ways beyond what others saw in him, that he might be more complex than a simple prodigy.
It took a long time, but you helped him feel seen and heard, helping him open up.
Tom likes watching you style yourself, especially on the weekends while he waits for you to get ready for the date.
One morning, he stood up from his usual spot on your bed without a word.
You were sitting in front of the mirror, drying your hair with your wand.
He sat behind you, and ignoring your inquisitive glance, took some strands of your hair and began to dry it with his wand.
Somehow, Tom had memorised your styling routine to perfection.
Flabbergasted, you lowered your wand and quietly observed him through the mirror.
His serious eyes were trained on your hair, but you didn't miss the faint smile that tugged at his lips.
His fingers gently rustled through your locks of hair.

He doesn't smile when taking photos. He used to be averse to them, so he's come a long way until he reluctantly agreed to take photos with you.

He showed his appreciation when he received the gift, but as always, he did not smile.
But, the next time you visited his room, you found to photo stand on the bed stand. The only photo he has in his room.
Still, months after Christmas, you catch him staring at the photo. Whenever the photo-Tom gets shocked with a peck, he huffs out quiet laughter from his nostrils, and his lips turn into an amused smile.
You think he actually enjoys looking at the photo in his free time.
Many of your dates include studying.
Tom doesn't technically need any help with Charms or Herbology, but he comes seeking your advice, saying that he can "always strive for perfection."
Tom is a massive help with potions. He gets very invested in your grades, which can become a nuisance sometimes.
But, most often, the after-school help in the potions classroom can become very romantic and wholesome.
Tom quickly noticed how well you respond to encouragements.
Tom knows that your grade in potion comes from your disinterest, and not your ineptitude in any way.
During brewing draught of the living dead for Slughorn's assignment, in which timing is of the essence, Tom intentionally backed off to let you brew the potion on your own.
You were focusing on brewing, since there is essentially no time in between the procedures.
Tom observed you closely, and murmured "I know you can do this."
It lit your heart aflame knowing that he knew you to be fully capable.
And when the draught came out perfectly, earning you full marks, the satisfaction was even greater.
You two are the couple that constantly betters each other: challenging each other to get out of their comfort zone and grow. Not by pushing each other to the limit, but by encouraging each other and believing in each other. And, if things fail, you both would be waiting for the other with open arms ❤️

Alright. So as you can see from the explosion of my blog, I'm back. So I did in fact see the new episode of Helluva boss and the music video and I'm not gonna talk about them. Why? Because they both encase the same fucking issues as EVERYTHING else.
What I am gonna talk about however is the basics of what I personally enjoy about Helluva Boss, why I have that opinion, AND what I don't like, and why I have that opinion as well.
SO
What I do like:
- I enjoy, unlike some others, the colors. I do love saturated colors. I think it is beautiful and one reason I'm so disappointed in the show, because I can't enjoy it with everything else. I like this because it reminded nds me of the Legend of Spyro the first two games anyway. I love those games because the scenery was gorgeous to look at. The gameplay was a bitch so I'm at least happy I had nice stuff to look at while I was PISSED.
- I do enjoy the lack of censorship and honestly I wish it had more. Not gonna lie before the show pooped it's pants in the race, I was expecting nudity or sex scenes? I'm from the furry community soooo. I was also expecting real adult topics but we'll get to that. I was expecting that because, nudity and sex is part of life. And sex actually plays a huge role in personal personality traits in a character imo.
- I enjoy the voice actors and their talents. It's hard to find, or it used to be hard to find good voice actors in indie animation. I'm not big on celebrity promotion because I think personally indie should be pulling some fresh talent to its feet and helping those who really want to but can't get in the "professional Hollywood scene"
- I enjoy the animation cause holy crap, do these animators have talent. Some of the designs and effects they have to do, like in the music video, are beautiful.
NOW
What I don't like
- the designs. Character designs are supposed to say something about a character, convey them as people, or tell you something about the environment. Now I understand everyone has an art style but bodies and faces vary even in style, and especially in a fantasy world. Same goes for clothing and accessories, UNLESS the fashion for a certain time calls for similarities. All of the characters in Helluva Boss have the same features AND they are over-cluttered with un necessary add one. Why I don't like that- because characters SHOULD be varied for at least 1 reason: 1 because looks define a character on the outside, maybe the inside too but good writing can sell a narrative that is composed of (what I look like on the outside and who I truly am on the inside).
- the swearing. Good god. I swear LIKE A TRUCKER. I DONT CARE ABOUT PROFANITY OR SEX JOKES. However, in a piece of media, yet again, a character's dialogue, body language, and how they speak tells you something about the character and or their environment. For Example from Lackadaisy pilot: all of the characters. ALL OF THEM except for one, looks bad sounds like they belong there. The character who doesn't seem like they fit in? ROCKY! BUT THATS GOOD! Because from what I've seen, he's a black sheep. He seems like hes not supposed to fit in. That seems to be his whole struggle. Now For example from Helluva Boss: Blitzo swearing is good. He's a profane dickhead. It fits him. However Moxie? Moxie is portrayed to be innocent and kinda soft. He should stay that way to foil Blitzos character. Striker swearing? Fine but watch what he says. Country folk swear differently than City folk. Stolas swearing? The aristocratic rich try to swear different than the poor because they have a level of decorum to follow amongst one another. They see themselves as better than you so they try and act like it. They try to hide their profane ways. If youre gonna have swearing and sex jokes make sure whatever swear or joke is coming out of someone's mouth fits their personality. If it's out of character, then have that character have a reaction. Like a Catholic who says God damn for the first time in a heated argument.
- the callous attitude toward serious problems. I'll list a few big ones. 1: sexual assault. 2: alcoholism. 3: Classism. 4: Incest?. I don't like the joking manner of sexual assault, the callous disregard for a plot based on coerced rape, the jokes on alcoholism, or the jokes and callous disregard for how the show portrays Classism. why? 1: I was a sexual assault victim along with MANY of my friends. 2: my dad just struggled with alcoholism and died of liver failure and it is much more graphic and heart breaking than people understand. Nothing will make you feel more defeated than battling with an alcoholic, still loving them, then watching them die while your whole family suffers. 3: I'm a poor person who struggles against Classism. I'm not a minority but from what I see other minorities suffer and say about this, and what I know about the history of racism in my country, this needs to be addressed especially when adding Classism and coerced rape into the mix. 4: it seems like there are A LOT of incest implications in the second season. Obvious reasons to not like it. Now it it was played on well, and ADRESSED narratively?
- the behind the scenes allegations. Obvious reasons why I don't like that, but I have now way to know what true and what isn't. However, you can tell A LOT about a creator by what they write and more importantly HOW they write it.
And one more note: I wouldn't care about this shows flaws at all if it wasn't trying to take itself seriously and ouch us into liking these irredeemable characters. If it WAS just a raunchy, shock humor comedy like say Robot Chicken? Then weeeeeee have fun. Robot Chicken IS. NASTY. and I love it! But it doesn't have a serious plot. Even when Family Guy tries to do serious plots, the tone still remains where it is when it needs to. Brian was a dickhead but it was genuinely sad the way they portrayed his death. And the show was good in it's first seasons imo. In my OPINION. I used to like the show but...it ran too long. And that's Helluva Bosses problem. It's running too long. It was supposed to be a short comedy focused on IMP. AND then they tried to make it a plot to run for a while. If done well, great, it could've been great. But it is clear the writers DO NOT have the life experience and or the reflection and maturity to write these seriously heavy topics. Helluva Boss comes off as a fetish comic, the ones I'm not unused to seeing in the furry community. Don't get me wrong, some comics are actually pretty good buuuuut it's obviously porn so the story gets lost alot lol. This show shouldn't feel like an E621/ Yaoi comic/hentai. But it does...
SO yeah. That's my opinion on the whole show so far and honestly I'm not sure if gonna even watch it anymore. We shall see.

Hi hi, first let me just say that I love your works.(Especially Monster Mayhem. ReaperRookmakesmyheartgobrrr) I have been reading your work on A03 and was even happier when I found you on Tumblr.
So I guess this isn't a traditional "Ask" but, im trying to start a fanfic blog here on Tumblr. I'm mainly writing twst content. Do you have any tips on how one should start posting their work on Tumblr? I haven't posted any works since I have no followings. If you don't have a precise answer to this, thats fine. But any tip of advice is very much appreciated.
Hmmm... I am also fairly new to the Tumblr sphere side of writing all things considered (just started really posting in earnest on here back in December? Very late November maybe?), so I'm still definitely a bit lost sometimes! But I can give my top tips! Or at least things that I notice tend to help!
Formatting is super helpful! If you keep things neat and concise people really seem to appreciate it! Using the cut-off/little squiggle on the side to split your posts under a 'read more' is also generally appreciated. I tend to like the format of 'Pairing, Word Count, Summary, Banner, Cut Off' because that's what I was used to on AO3, and also the things I most care about when I'm looking for stuff to read. I do like the banners on Tumblr--which is definitely different from AO3--from like a very superficial perspective, in that a lot of times if I didn't know who a character was 100% yet, I could look at the picture and go 'oh wow yeah that one's definitely my type' and would read it anyways lol
Tagging is a nightmare, but get the big ones! If I'm posting something for Malleus, I make sure to include both Malleus/Reader and Malleus/Yuu for example, just in case people go looking for one but not the other. For your own ease of access, pick a tag that's specific for different things! Like all my writing is tagged, very creatively, 'My Writing.' This just makes it so if I lose a post in the ether, or my taglist crashes, it's very easy to find everything again
Short form does better on Tumblr. It's the way of the world. Long stories tend to get less traction on average--both in terms of literal length and also like multi-chapter splits. Which is terrible for someone like me who likes to ramble on for ages but I digress. I actually started a Tumblr with the intention of teaching myself how to write shorter prompts. Write more often and less intensively sort of thing and look how well that went lololololl *sobs* I'm right back where I started But yeah don't be discouraged if your long, hard won, chapter is getting less notes than someone's two-line remake of a Brooklyn 99 quote. It's just the way it is. Tumblr is social media, AO3 is a library. They're just very different that way.
Hope any of that can help at all! I'm still so lost on how this Hell site functions too lol

intro post, big win for organization today
this is a shared blog between me, pasta, and my roommate, polo. he says you should call him dr. polo and i say you should call him whatever you want. this place will mostly feature me because im the only technologically literate one here, but the icon is actually a heavy abstraction of polos face, not mine. last i checked polo does not have sharp teeth but who knows
What is up!?(!??!?!) I am Dr. Polo!! I don't own an official medical license, which Pasta's recently taught me I have to preemptively mention before I get into trouble. That doesn't stop my incredible fascination with biology :))) (you like it maybe a little too much? the workshop smells rotten right now and you need to fix it.) I'm always excited to talk about my various projects (or to listen to the scientific endeavors of others!) but I do have to warn that I'm nearly not as productive as I once was. I'm MUCH more talkative than Pasta, but I admit the website's layout perplexes me @_@ so he's right in saying that most of this blog is under his control.

Juli, I very much agree with your post regarding racism and holding everyone accountable in the HOTD fandom, but please clarify for me:
First, your words, not mine:

So, we’ve all seen this happen the last few days. People have been called out, sure, but what has actually been done about it?
It confounds me to see you continue to support Ange, who hasn’t taken accountability or accepted responsibility at all. Em has made progress at least. Ange has only whined and deflected as usual. These two have only apologized because they’ve gotten caught.
So, as you said, why not “put your money where your mouth is” and do something about a very obvious problem coming from a big and influential account?
Why continue to defend her? Seems like you’re letting them slide, which is contradictory of your entire post.
First things first, the people who were hurt have made amends or cut off the people who hurt them. Those who doxxed officerbrowneyes amd harassed people on here are seemingly gone or at least have learned their lesson.
As much as i agree with you that more should be done, not much is actually done in these cases beyond agreeing not to do it again, kicking the offenders off the fandom and hoping this shit doesn't repeat itself. Frankly i have low hopes with this fandom because its hotd where racism and even division is quite literally baked into the source.
As for Ange and Em:
I do not condone their actions, if they hadn't taken accountability and apologized for their behavior i would’ve cut ties with them but not before letting them know with my full name and blog (in a dm first because thats how you do it, and a call out post if necessary) that i found their actions abhorrent and warn people about them. When i have a problem with someone, i am upfront about it before warning people privately and blocking said person.
Do i think they should've acted sooner?
Yes, especially because i truly believed fae and bel were my friends all the while they knew they had done and continued to do awful shit. And also because the things said in those screenshots(the real ones simce the others dont even match the way they speak) are awful.
We had a right to know and because they feared repercussions (namely for being white women and bel being a mixed race woman with a lot of followers here) it ended up being too little and too late.
I've not let it slide, we have a saying in mexico, forgive but don't forget. Tbh if i get bad vibe from them or see they're back to being the people they were last July be sure that i will block them after I've called them out on their bullshit.

I'm tired of mad scientists Always being shown as villains in pop culture. Like- I Get it you know? it's a lot easier to have the hero be fighting back against the mad scientist whos making monsters or making super weapons for the bad guys or whatever. Evil corporation employs mad scientists who end up making some sort of evil dooms day zombie-fungus/demon portal/death star/whatever is also pretty popular. and like don't get me wrong I ADORE some good evil deeds right? I'm Here for villains. But like- we used to at least have figures like frankenstein or dr jekyll who were the bad guys but were at least the protagonists right? like the stories followed them and their decent into the consequences of their actions. But now as media gets more and more black and white we get less and less of that and more and more of 'this person is the bad guy and is stealing braaaaainss!!! shoot him with your big laser gun!!!!!'
I would- for once- like to see a desperate scientist trying with everything they have to do something genuinely good. Maybe they do some bad things along the way, cops get to in shows after all, but you still are rooting for them. idk they're trying to like- breed a new fungi that is super effective at decomposing plastic or something. something that would be groundbreakingly good. maybe they get it right. maybe they win and climate change is gone forever and no one ever finds out about the horrible skeletons in this world saving maguffins closet. Or maybe it goes horribly wrong. Maybe the scientist desends into maddness as the experiments fail over and over again. Nothing ever seems to go right the whole movie and its a miserable end to a miserable film. OR maybe right when things start looking up, right when the world is benefiting from their invention the horrible truth is revealed. The scientist is using corpses as a breeding ground for that plastic eating fungus. They killed and tortured people on purpose to make that cancer cure and be sure it worked perfectly. I don't really care how it ends, I'd just like mad scientists to get to be protagonists again.

-part of me wishes they showed charles' win at monza w/ more charles centric focus? it was such a big deal for him and i think it deserved more. THAT BEING SAID it does set up the sebchal rivalry dynamic well, which is what the documentarians chose to focus on, and for that they did well.
-i could say the same for seb's singapore win. it makes sense from a storytelling persepctive to focus on these from the rivalry lense but damn do i know these are iconic wins for both of them and its bittersweet that they don't get their own focus
-i'm so confused how charles literally looks straight down the camera lense and says that he was signed with the knowledge that he'd be second to seb, and then gets MAD when they prioritize seb???? like when they prioritize charles seb has ever right to be mad bc that goes against what he was told but charles?????? i know that its bc theyre gonna be super competitive no matter what they're told bc its in their nature but Come Onn

(a good example of this recently imo is carlos in singapore!)
