A Dose of Clarity on the Palestinian Storyline
~~ By Valerie Sobel
Whenever Western media, Western governments, Israel, or anyone draws an intentional disconnect between the Palestinians and Hamas, a myriad of lies and warped presumptions are activated.
The political correctness machine, invented by liberals but operated by everyone today with respect to the current war in the Middle East guarantees 100% detachment of the poor Palestinian and his cause from terrorist Hamas. But the cost of this on-going theatre is egregious intellectual corruption; a complete reversal of truth and entire revision of Middle East history.
If Hamas is, indeed, a rogue terrorist regime under which the poor Palestinian is suffering, are we to erase all irrefutable knowledge and evidence of the following?
1. Palestinians elected Hamas as their ruling government in the year 2007 by an overwhelming majority. In their charter, Hamas boldly states aspirations to wipe Israel of the face of the earth in not one but 36 separate articles.
2. Before Hamas, Palestinians produced one Yasser Arafat who founded the art of terrorism and airplane highjacking. No amount of concessions and negotiation with this father of terrorism, for decades, convinced the Palestinians to adopt a two-state solution for peaceful co-existence.
3. Before Yasser Arafat, Palestinians produced another leader, Mohammed Amin al-Husseini, the Mufti of Jerusalem who actively worked against the UN’s two-state solution platform of 1948, led the 1920 Nebi Musa riots against the Jews in the very Jewish Palestine, and established himself as an ally in Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany. During World War II he collaborated with both Italy and Germany by making propagandistic radio broadcasts and by aiding the Nazis recruit 25,000 Bosnian Muslims for the Waffen-SS. The more Jews killed the better for this Palestinian also. On meeting Adolf Hitler, he demanded Hitler opposes the establishment of a Jewish national home in Jewish Palestine.
4. Since the failed Oslo Accords of the 1990s, more 2400 Israelis have been killed or wounded in terror attacks by the Palestinians.
5. Beside popular Hamas membership, Islamic Jihad, The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), Fatah, Tanzim and Muslim Brotherhood -all made up of “innocent” Palestinian citizenry.
6. Palestinian children, from nursery age are systematically taught to regard Jews as the infidel enemy who took their land. Schools employ maps where Israel doesn’t exist. Children are instructed to kill Jews, join ISIS and Hamas for the glory of Islam. This is proudly exhibited to the world as a moral duty for young Palestinians.
7. Palestinian children are also reared for martyrdom by their parents and families. Islam’s promise of eternal life with 72 virgins and the favour of Allah is the goal of life, not life itself. Highest honor is given to families of martyrs who execute Jews.
8. Palestinian families are paid a monthly stipend for life by the Palestinian Authority when a family member is martyred in the duty of slaughtering Jews. It is estimated out of 2000 Gazan terrorists who came into Israel on October 7th to behead, burn alive and kidnap - one half (1000!) were Palestinian citizens who were promised 17,000 shekels and up for broken limbs, rapes and savage killings. For every person kidnapped, they were promised an apartment.
9. Kibbutz Kfar Azza was entirely penetrated and terrorized by scores of Palestinians on foot, on bicycle and motorcycle for the job of massacring babies, children and anything that moved. This was documented in vivid color by a CNN reporter, Hassan Eslaiah.
10. Maps of Sderot police station (first venue of slaughter), homes, businesses and everything inside, including what the family dog looks like and where the safe rooms are….information all meticulously collected by 20,000 regular Palestinians entering Israel on permits to work daily. Without these details provided by everyday Palestinians allowed to enter Israel on goodwill, Hamas had no way to execute the massacres.
11. For as long as the Palestinians have invented themselves as Palestinians to illegitimately lay claim to Jewish ancestral land Romans called Philistine…they have publicly cheered and celebrated every Jewish death. Whether it’s candy distribution or singing and dancing or setting the Israeli flags on fire. The elation at Jewish suffering is generational and feverish and has nothing to do with Hamas origins.
12. Palestinians are first and foremost Sharia Law Muslims of the Quaran. They are no different than the 22 Arab states surrounding Israel that share no love loss for Israel simply because it exists. For Islamic law, the very existence of Israel is diametrically opposite to Quran’s instruction of slaying Jews “wherever you can find them”. Or Qurans’s 177 instructional statements that Jews are “descendants of apes and pigs” and must be slayed.
13. Every sign of millions of Palestinians on the streets of Europe and America today that reads “from the river to the sea” is from the Palestinian charter of driving Israel into annihilation. Every mouth that utters it is calling for the explicit desire for Jewish extermination.
What’s happening today is simple; this is a religious war. It is NOT terrorism. It is certainly no land dispute. It is Jihad in the name of Allah. And every government of the western world knows it.
So why the continued farce of separating and detaching the Palestinians and their “cause” from known history, from Hamas, from Islamic Jihad, from Fatah, from PLO, from Tanzim and PFLP, all Palestinian groups aiming at Israel’s annhialation?
Because an admission of truth will, perish the thought:
a) Delegitimize the UN at its core
b) Force European nations and the US to admit utter failure of decades of foreign policies
c) Force a myriad of civilized countries to quit financial aid to the Palestinians, hence admitting billions of dollars of taxpayer theft.
d) Elucidate the fallacy and fraud of that two-state solution, which was invented by the west (prior to the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948) in order to appease the 22 Arab states. But more importantly…
e) Will immediately unite the Arab world, including nuclear Iran, in a war against the west. This very real and justified fear of Islam and its 2 billion followers who believe in the supremacy of the sword, in beheadings, rapes, massacres and annihilation of western civilization in the name of Allah is palpable. This very basic of human emotions, fear, is the catalyst for every lie, for all the theatre, for all the fraud around the fabricated Palestinian victimhood. It will continue to the end of time until Islam’s demographical strength reaches a critical mass for the destruction of an entire society of Judeo-Christian culture. And then, and only then, truth will be allowed, Islamophobia will be understood not as racial discrimination but as a rational fear rooted in evidence and posing an immediate threat to our existence. And finally, that survival-of-the-fittest meter will begin ticking.
As for Israel and the Jewish plight - the sacrificial lamb, the Jews will continue to repeat “Never Again!”through every atrocity, every raging antisemitic-crime statistic, every American campus pro-Hamas rally with “Kill The Jews” signs, every Jihad war, every Palestinian stabbing and every missile launched at Tel Aviv…until the end of time. Mindlessly parroting something that has never been true, because there is simply no other hope.
Until the west finds its balls against Islam, nothing changes. Western governments’ and media’s established theatre of lies and fraud narratives for the Palestinians and their cause …IS the very manifestation of real justified Islamophobia. Until the west feels an immediate threat to its survival, no matter how many times Israel screams “You’re next!”, nothing changes.

The new Nazis and the coming genocide they are planning
Tumblr media
April 29, 2024 3:37 pm Robert Zimmerman
Unless you have been badly educated at one of the so-called elite universities in the United States, Great Britain, or Europe, the genocidal goals of the terrorist organization of Hamas in Gaza are as plain as day.
These murderous thugs not only admire Hitler and wish to finish his effort to wipe out all Jews, they demonstrated that blatant evil goal on October 7, 2024, killing more than a thousand men, women, and children, torturing and raping many women and children in the process. Hamas’ victims that day had committed only one crime: being Jewish and living near Gaza. Many were from the leftwing secular Israeli community, and had worked hard to build good will ties with many in Gaza. The Gazans, working for Hamas, used those ties to gather intelligence that was then used to murder these Jews.
Soon after the massacre, Hamas officials went on television to celebrate these vicious murders. Ghazi Hamad of the Hamas Political Bureau proudly said said that the slaughter on October 7th “is just the first time, and there will be a second, a third, a fourth.” When asked if his position called for the anniliation of Israel, he immediately answered “Yes, of course,” adding “No one should blame us for the things we do, on October 7, October 10, October million, everything we do is justified.”
So what does these goals tell us about the hoards of protesters now swarming on many of these same college campuses, screaming things like “Globalize the Intifa!” and “Kill the Zionists!”? The picture above tells us all we need to know. On October 7th Hamas not only killed more than a thousand, it kidnapped more than two hundred more to hold as hostages, many of whom were little childen and babies. When supporters of Israel began putting up these posters showing the actual hostages held and demanding their release, supporters of Hamas in America and elsewhere would routinely go around ripping those posters down. In the case of the poster above put up in London, they did worse, actually drawing Hilter mustaches on the faces of the babies.
Tumblr media
On campuses now, these student protesters are daily telling us where they stand. They support Hamas unequivocally, and want it to survive to kill Jews. Like the Nazis in Germany, they work to harass and persecute any American Jews who happen to stroll by, sometimes acting to block their access to the university. In some cases they attack them violently.
At Pratt Institute in Brooklyn for example these pro-Hamas protesters painted red hands on a tree, a symbol used in a pogrom in Iran in 1941 to identify Jewish homes for the purpose of slaughtering them. Later, after two Israelis were lynched in Ramallah in the West Bank in 2000, one of the killers — after dismembering their bodies — proudly waved his bloody hands to the cheering crowd. Every Jew worldwide knows what that red hand symbol means: We want to kill you, and are eager to do it.
Now American student protesters are using that symbol, claiming that Israel is doing the same in Gaza, when even most shallow research of Israel’s actual war effort in Gaza will tell you it is doing everything it can to minimize civilian deaths. To accuse Israel of genocide here is to accuse it of the typical blood libel that anti-Semites have been using against Jews for centuries.
Meanwhile, these protesters take over campuses and buildings illegally, and then refuse to leave. Even after they are forcibly removed, with some arrested, they quickly and defiantly return (see the stories here and here for just two examples). Like Hamas, they make demands, and if their demands are not met, they use mob action to commit violence to get what they want. In their goals, their propaganda lies, and their actions they are identical in every way with the tactics of the 1930s Nazis.
Pay very close attention to the leaders of these protests. Many are soon going to become major players in the Democratic Party, which is closely tied to these pro-Hamas riots and clearly want them to continue. For example, Columbia University’s board of trustees has apparently acted to tie the hands of the university’s president to prevent any tough action to stop the occupancy of the campus. Instead of condemning this support for Hamas and the illegal mob take-over, they have kept silent. And when you take a close look at political alliances of the majority of that board, the reason becomes evident.
Among those trusted with governing the Ivy League college are a billionaire from the prominent Pritzker family; a hedge-funder who has donated well over $4 million to Democratic causes, including $775,000 just this election cycle; President Barack Obama’s former homeland security secretary, and a federal judge appointed to the bench by President Bill Clinton. “It’s no surprise that the board of trustees for a university allowing woke left-wing ideology and antisemitism to fester is made up of Democrat operatives and donors,” Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY) said. At least six of the board’s 21 trustees have direct ties to the Democratic Party, according to an investigation by The Post, which examined voter registration and political donation records as well as other public documents.
These new Nazis are clearly the future of the Democratic Party. It is the kind of leadership the present party power-brokers want. Worse, the Democratic Party rank and file want such leadership as well. Only two days ago in a Democratic Party primary in Pennsylvania, congresswoman Summer Lee, a proud member of the radical, Marxist, pro-Hamas “squad”, defeated a challenge from more moderate local Democrat. Moreover, Lee won handily, with about 60% of the vote.
Will this be enough to get Americans to vote against this increasingly bigoted, anti-Semitic, and Marxist Democratic Party? Not likely. The Democrats are unified in favor of this new Nazi movement, while many Republican voters seem glad to sit on their hands like petulant toddlers and not vote, because the Republican Party doesn’t give them what the want, every time.
I must emphasize that I am not talking about the presidential election. These same non-voters — whom I like to call this generation’s version of “the good Germans” in the 1930s — won’t vote in local elections either, thus giving power to the Democrats from the top to the bottom.
This is how Hitler gained power. And it is how the next Hitler, likely hidden among the leaders of those pro-Hamas protests, will gain power in the coming decade. And when that happens, say good-by to the Constitution, to the Bill of Rights, and say hello to a new Holocaust.

I got a rather scathing ask in response to something I said in the tags of a reblog a while ago. I couldn't really even remember what I said, so I had to look for it. I believe the person sent the ask, and then blocked me. Which is fine, whatever. What irritates me is how people draw such wild conclusions based off of two sentences.
I've been purposefully avoiding most everything on this site I can about the whole Israel-Palestine conflict. I've reblogged one, maybe two, things about it. I'm not tagging this because I don't want it easy to fine. I want it to be one and done. So if this is a topic you wish to avoid, you've had your warning.
The ask in question was referring to THIS post. With my tags in the following image.
Tumblr media
And the "ask" in question:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Palestinian people aren't collectively guilty of anything. Hamas is a terrorist group intent on ethnic cleansing. And Hamas' attack on Oct 7 was massively brutal. I've seen some very disturbing footage from it. There is no justification for slaughtering babies in cribs(or tossing them into ovens), or beheading someone(who is too injured to even weakly resist) with a dull hoe, or parading women's brutalized corpses for everyone else to spit on. I saw the footage, so nobody can convince me that didn't happen. Innocent Israelis were massacred. The deaths of innocents on either side is tragic, but there is a certain type of evil in such a hands-on manner of murder, as opposed to the detachment of sending bombs. Hamas enjoyed their rampage.
And Hamas believes it is the duty of every Palestinian to participate in Jihad, so they do not feel bad about using their own innocent people as cannon fodder. To them, it is just a sacrifice their people are obligated to make. And it works for them, because it makes Israel look bad. And Israel fell for it. The bombings clearly aren't helping, which is why I don't know how to feel about Israel's response.
The "Jewish government" has done nothing. Because that's not what it is. It's the Israeli government. And Israel wants to exterminate Hamas, because Hamas wants to eradicate Jews and Israel.
Hamas official, Hamad Al-Regeb in an April 2023 sermon: He prayed for “annihilation” and “paralysis” of the Jews whom he described as filthy animals: “[Allah] transformed them into filthy, ugly animals like apes and pigs because of the injustice and evil they had brought about.” Al-Regeb also prayed for the ability to “get to the necks of the Jews.”
Hamas is not interested in peace. And this is according to their officials as well as their own founding charter. They are certainly antisemitic. A cease fire from Israel wouldn't stop future Hamas attacks.
'[Peace] initiatives, and so-called peaceful solutions and international conferences are in contradiction to the principles of the Islamic Resistance Movement... Those conferences are no more than a means to appoint the infidels as arbitrators in the lands of Islam... There is no solution for the Palestinian problem except by Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are but a waste of time, an exercise in futility.' (Article 13)
Can you really expect Israel to just let all this slide like they weren't just told, "We want to destroy you, and peace is not an option"? What are they supposed to do? Let Hamas slaughter them over and over again? Be driven out of their ancestral homeland(The area is sacred for both Jews and Muslims, and both have historic claim to it)?
You know, it's so ironic that the word genocide was coined because of the Holocaust, and Hamas is blaming Jews for everything like Hitler did.
'The enemies have been scheming for a long time ... and have accumulated huge and influential material wealth. With their money, they took control of the world media... With their money they stirred revolutions in various parts of the globe... They stood behind the French Revolution, the Communist Revolution and most of the revolutions we hear about... With their money they formed secret organizations - such as the Freemasons, Rotary Clubs and the Lions - which are spreading around the world, in order to destroy societies and carry out Zionist interests... They stood behind World War I ... and formed the League of Nations through which they could rule the world. They were behind World War II, through which they made huge financial gains... There is no war going on anywhere without them having their finger in it.' (Article 22)
You see, the difference between fiction and reality is that fiction generally has clear good guys and bad guys. There's the protagonist we root for, and the antagonist who is in the wrong, no matter how sympathetic they may or may not be. It is as clear cut as the author wants it to be. Reality is messy. Both sides say that they are justified in the atrocities they commit, so who decides which is truly in the wrong?
You can spin the narrative either way. Bend facts to make either side look good or bad. With Israel, I can at least understand how it can be justified as self defense. Hamas' Oct 7th attack cannot. That was pure slaughter. Ignoring the sheer brutality of Hamas and excusing that in "support" of Palestine is the blind devotion I was referring to. Hamas and Palestine seem to be referred to interchangeably, but they shouldn't be. Hamas is a terrorist group.
Calling me a hypocrite is a bold claim to make in response to two sentences that I said. It really seems like this person straw-manned an argument.

Trying to draw a Hitler reference from Henry being an artist took me out. Op really did too much with that post, on god. I guess Will Byers must also be Hitler since he's also an artist and he's a mirror of Henry. 🤔 Damn, I'm totally on to something here /s.
I think the implication Henry didn't like his father because he's a WW2 vet who fought for the allies and Henry was on the N*zis side deserves an honorable mention too, lol. Like Henry wasn't literally born after the war had ended and like we weren't canonly shown that Henry's father was responsible for the shelling of countless innocent civilians which resulted in, AT LEAST, a literal infant being burned alive in its cot, and Henry witnessed these horrific memories and was traumatized by them as a little boy after he read his father's mind. But no, yeah, for sure it was totally because baby Henry was on the N*zi's side and he was pissed with his dad because his dad was an ally.

OMG THIS IS MY FIRST POST BUT I JUST WANTED TO SAY THAT I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THIS FOR A LONG TIME AND I WANTED SOME FEEDBACK BEFORE I MADE IT A FULL SERIES ON HERE. OK HERE WE GO YALL.
STAREING AT THE SUN. CHAPTER. 1
FINN
"Icarus. The boy that flew too close to the sun. Burned up his wings. Into little stubs of nothing,". Nana and her exaggerated stories ring in his head to this day.
Finn tries to look at his brother in the den of the truck but his views are cut off by tinted glass.
He's never this secretive about things. Hope’s never secretive about these things.
He never keeps this big of a project from him. They both dont.
The rubble from the ground hits the windshield swiftly. The dirt piling up on the small window means they weren't out of prison borders yet.
Across from the actual prison its two football fields wide of dusty perimeter of cacti and tumbleweeds. 200 yards of nothing but perimeter drones and guard angles. Makeing it harder to get in than out of the place.
He could still smell the dust in the air from the hatch that was cracked open. It bothered him that it was open but not as much as the fact that it didn't close in the first place.
It could give them away of not being a milk truck without the huge cloth covering them.
No matter how much he would try and pull on it, it wouldn't budge an inch makeung him almost fall onto a bunch of needles on a cart that was locked.
Finn stares at the syringe covered in specks of blood. Her blood. Blood that shouldn't have been taken out of her body to begin with. Theres a way they could have run the test without druging her and takeing her blood.
There was another way he tells himself tryihg to stay an optomist. The majority of the liquid they extracted moves back and forth to avoid clotting.
“Dna test, nothing getting stolen, no one probably wants this anyways,”One of the scientists says carrying the blood in his rough hands moving it back and forth, trying to stop it from clotting without the machine. The heated gloves he's wearing only help a tiny bit with warmth. It didnt matter if it cloted they would just draw more from her until they got what they wanted. He says one last thing before going back to his lab. “Try and relax,”.
The bench that he's sitting on doesn't feel as heavy anymore. How can he relax? Motion sickness does not come lightly. He feels sick. He almost opens up the hatch to puke before seeing the line of 6 security cars behind them. A bucket is gonna have to do.
Nana used to tell stories about angels like her. The ‘broken’ ones. A leyline between demons and angels. The flukes and freaks of nature. Demon kind but still confined to the britches of heaven by laws bent against them. She told stories about the court case when she was a teen. And how she was there seeing the tiny baby in a cradle.
"You shouldn't be this close,'' the guard says from beside Finn. He moved over making less space between them. "Even if you're the grim reaper you have no business being here with that disgrace,".
His formal title on these projects. Grim. Grim reaper. Whichever fits. It's more his dads title than Finns. He just takes it on sometimes due to the resemblance.
'It's all about perspective,' Finn's mother Mortala said to him even earlier on the phone. 'You either think she's Cinderella or Hitler'. It's funny that she's referring to hitler.
Finn doesn't know what to think about it.
He's seen blurry photos of sorts and other things like videos of them restraining her but not alot. Videos blurry, violent and brutal; they looked like they recorded them with a disposable camera. Most of her efforts where completely shut down by shock collars around her neck as she was dragged back to her cage.
One of them. The one that really made him nauseated was one where the person recording followed the guard's puting her back. Picking up her unconscious face from the floor by her hair repeating the words. "Best spring break ever" and "no way dads gonna top this,". Her face is used out of that one too.
Finn nods slowly. Trying to not acknowledge him too much. His only job was to bring her back to the main ring with Dominic, his brother. They're twins.
It's a rehabilitation project. Their home is one big sanctuary with a couple people living in the wings of the mansion at a time.
It's a slow process of putting her back with her actual people. Her kind. Nana also said that Finn's father, Steven, was to dumb to act on cases like that until Mortala came into his life. Even though she despises the woman she still tries to treat her with dignity.
Finn stared at his unkempt hair in the mirror beside him as he thought. He brushed his hair out with his fingers trying to fix it.
When they presented the judges there case they all looked at them like they were crazy. But they got her out of the prison. One way or another.
"Is she back there, well of course she's back there, is she awake?"Finn asked, trying to look past the guard's frame. The mirror caught the side of her eyes. At the silence he started to get anxiety. He fiddled with the knife in his pants pocket. Everytime his hand passed the cold medal blade his heart rate increased.
He couldn't see anything in the small sliver of a window but a flood light. The guard mutters that she was but she had heavy sedatives in her."Can I see her?". He gives him an all knowing look but doesn't give his insight because he's not paid enough.
“You're the executive and…. 16 now,”He says, patting his back reassuringly. He unlocks the door after a small while of stalling looking for the keys.
As his eyes adjusted to the light as a small voice spoke in the distance. "Am I going to another facility?". There wasn't much distance but the voice was so frail it felt far. As his eyes adjust he sees a girl with a chain collar around her neck that barely fits as it falls off onto her shoulder blades repeatedly. She looked like she weighed less than 80 pounds.
She stares at Finn from where she's chained. She looks. Perfect. Like she's not meant to be in chains she's bound to. Like a princess. A damsel in distress. “This doesn't look like the carrier cars though, and these chains are a little thrown together,”. She laughed akuardly trying to lif the thing on her neck aging.
Words fail him as he sees the girl in front of him. Brown hair going slightly over her honey golden eyes covering her expresions. "My family's c-company,"Are the only words that come out of Finn's mouth as he admires her. The light only makes her eyes more beautiful.
The girl only nodded trying to flex her wings out again. “What a nice nap,”She says faintly again reaching her hands out to stretch but she noticed how somethings off. The bands. They have her strapped in like a turkey.
She strains trying to look back at the skeletons mounted to her back. She struggles silently looking at the skeletons and trying to open them. Finn opens her mouth as she looks at her panic setting into the honey pools in her eyes. "I can help you,"Finn shouts at her, accidentally startling her more. He didn't mean to yell at her.
"I can help you get out of those things. They're just high resistance rubber bands. I can cut for you,"Finn offers, showing her a pocket knife.
What was he saying? Offering her help now of all times. She's still unstable and scared. She could kill him if she wanted to.
She sees her jump back at the sight. As she should. It's a normal reaction to seeing a weapon in the hands of a stranger.
"No it's fine I-you I mean please don't come near me,”She panics. As she panics looking around now straining her apendages even further, the bands snap on their own. The strain must have gotten to them. It doesn't take much when you have wigs made up of sharp bones.
She starts to pick up wind beneath her. He tries to say something but her words are muted by a sound of agony. The girl's tugged back down onto the mattress harshly by the cheap chain. As she lands back on the mattress feathers start to come out of the mattress. One even landing on her shoulder.
¨You're still not at 100%, let me help you, please,¨Finn pleads stepping closer. He tosses the knife on the ground. It's not like he needed it anyways.
It's only when Finn puts a knee on the bed that she moves. She moves away from him, wincing because of dragging her wings against the striped bed. ¨Please let me help you,¨.
Finn reaches a hand out to the chain to remove it. The only sound was quiet wind outside. Brushing up against the metal on the carrier. Her breathing was shallow and hiked as she looked at him. He moves it off with one hand to not intimidate her, it was harder but it would make her the most safe.
This was all for her.
She yawns quietly as small tears run down her face. Finn moves away as her head lands on his chest. He looks down at her for a moment to make sure it's real before he moves her head to the side making sure she doesn't get cold.
They gave he a heavy dose of sedatives. He didn't pay attention to what the doctor said about them wearing off.
Finn looks at her file on the wall again. Gwendolyn Ruth Fallan, age 16, prison name: Icurs.
He took the file out with him. She knew there was a reason for this. Gwen.
------------------------------------------------------------------
His brother comes back out from the den a small bit distraught. He tears off his gloves with his teeth not wanting to touch them again he spits them in the trash. He looks back up at him to then at the file.
“Were you just in there with her? Give it to me,”He asked looking at the vanilla file in his hand. “Have you looked at it yet?”. Finn says no, but he refrains the urge to actually fork over the file. It was his. He had it first, it's not a petty sibling game. The file was rightfully his. No matter how he put it though it was petty.
Finn sits down on the bench looking at his twin. He twirls his hair just to annoy him further. “Would you rather look at it with me? I'm not handing over confidential information so easily,”.
OMG I DIDNT THNK IT WOULD BE THIS LONG BUT WHOEVER READS THIS I HOPE YOU ENJOY SO I CAN CONTINUE THE SERIES. NEW CHAPTER COMEING ON WEDNESDAY.

Homestuck Fans be like "treat a design that's different from their headcanons as Literally Hitler"
Tumblr media
It's fine. You still get the point across that drawing the characters as they are seen exactly on the medium is apparently like killing a recently aborted baby with your bare hands. It's like everyone now has to draw fanon interpretations. Even when there is a diverse character shown and getting popular, it's not enough for some of these fuckers. That's why you still get people to darken even tan characters to add curls to black characters that never had it because somebody believed they don't look black enough. Nothing can please these bastards.

Series 6 Episode 8: Let's Kill Hitler
Heyy everyone, today we’re checking out a notorious Moffat episode, Let’s Kill Hitler, looking to answer the age old question, if we have a time machine can we just go back and kill Hitler as a baby? Let’s see if it does.
So the concept of this episode is really strong, but that concept is not the focus of this episode at all. I think an episode that explores the morality/time rules around a situation like this can really be pulled off well in Dr Who, and a stand-out example from the classic series is Genesis of the Daleks with the 4th Doctor having to decide whether to kill the Daleks at their birth or to let them live and reap destruction across the cosmos. It’s an amazing conundrum and moral dilemma, and we have essentially the Earth version of this with Hitler. We even have a spy organisation here to assassinate a dangerous person from history. Like the pieces are here but instead, the episode chooses to focus on:
River Song. Now this isn’t technically a *bad* thing, we just got a massive reveal about her character last episode so it makes sense that Moffat wants to contextualise this, but I just find her presence in this episode a little overbearing. I think the idea that not only is River Amy & Rory’s child, but ALSO is their childhood friend is too much, and whilst I do find River getting used to the regeneration we know and love to be endearing, the focus is on her for too much this episode and so we don’t ever get the chance to dig into the episode’s title and premise. Also spoilers for the finale in the next paragraph, in case you’re reading these as you’re watching.
I also find the “tiny people stealthing about in a robot body like a mecha” thing to be another thing thrown on top of the whole ordeal that makes this episode so loaded. I quite like the fact they lend themselves to the moral discussion (it’s just their Hitler is River), but bar that their presence in this episode feel a bit unwarranted. It feels like they’re only here so that they can be used for the gotcha in the finale where the Doctor’s in the mech suit.
TL:DR/Overview: This episode is a blender of so many things. We have a River Song regeneration, revelations about her character, human mechas piloted by tiny people, and a moral quandary that barely gets to be discussed underneath it all. I just feel if you moved some things about, this could’ve been an awesome episode, but that potential gets squandered with an idea overload (as I feel a lot of 11th Doc Moffat stories do) that leaves you very confused. This would normally be annoying though not episode ruining, but this is an episode talking that draws you in with a title and premise and then it completely ignores that for the majority of its runtime. For that, I’m putting it in C tier despite a lot of fun being in this ep.

Star Trek wank below the cut
I love SNW, i think its everything star trek should be and is doing the philosophy part of star trek amazingly but... (spoilers and critique below the cut cause its long and Im not sure its wise to have a nuanced media critique that on poorreadingcomprehension.com)
This isnt well articulated, im procrastinating
they are simply not engaging with the eugenics plotline, and kinda ending up in a bit of a pro eugenics position????
Like maybe they have something planned but it certainly does not seem like they view genetically modified people as anything other than poor oppressed babies who should be allowed to do whatever they want.
I think within the star trek universe genetically modifying humans on scale seems to create a group of people that believes they are better than others and that seems to on some level be inevitable imo given human psychology. Which is also why we’re very leery of doing it in real life. But that’s being completely unaddressed within the Illyrians, as if they would never dream of considering themselves as better than anyone else.
The whole episode where they’re on trial was throwing a ton of analogies at the viewer, none of which I think really apply to the complex situation depicted. The show is making a huge deal about it being a ~*cultural practice*~ and the thing is that I am not a cultural relativist. My understanding is that the planet voted to stop doing genetic modification in order to join starfleet which has a very understandable ant genetic modification policy and a certain subsect of the population decided to 1. continue to do this to their children despite it being an unnecessary medical treatment 2. continue to live on the planet when it meant they they could not seek medical treatment for their children. I can entertain arguments about how the transitional period should have been handled and the show made a lot of very vague and spooky allusions to horrific oppression but never said anything outright other than bullying. I believe this dynamic can be compared to some modern ethical situations but gay marriage and racism isn’t one of them. And I think the question of where to draw the line is an interesting discussion to have but they are not having it.
There was also the kill baby hitler episode right after that which didnt really take the ethical quandary of killing baby hitler seriously. In fact one could (ungenerously) argue that it made the assertion that the eugenics wars were a good thing. It very much brushed past that which is a shame because i think its an interesting argument to have. The narrative seems to be acting like Una and La’an should not be at all wary of their personal situations and anyone advocating otherwise is a bigot. It feels very much like saying you should ignore your darkest potential self because you are not capable of becoming that person which i think is how you end up with people feeling very justified in doing terrible things.
I think DS9 handled the issue very well by showing how modification can really fuck people up, although they also sidestepped the real debate about how much genetic modification is ok and what do you do with people who were genetically modified as children. And I think there is an interesting story to explore with Una about being an ubermench in the military but to do that they would have to engage with the fact that they’ve got a supersoldier.
At the end of the day i dont think that starfleet is being unreasonable in any sense for disallowing genetically modified people to join, and while the show is paying lip service to that its not really engaging with it which is leading to some very interesting subtextual arguments that I dont think they realise they’re making.
Una could be an interesting character but they would have to engage with touchy and edgy topics which they dont want to do because that could make her unlikable, and mean they have to engage with heavier topics than they want to. But they do want to jam in an oppression metaphor. and theyre dancing around it too! Someone in the writers room is aware of the implications of their arguments.

A DOSE OF CLARITY ON THE PALESTINIAN STORYLINE by Valerie Sobel
Whenever Western media, Western governments, Israel, or anyone draws an intentional disconnect between the Palestinians and Hamas, a myriad of lies and warped presumptions are activated.
The political correctness machine, invented by liberals but operated by everyone today with respect to the current war in the Middle East, guarantees 100% detachment of the poor Palestinian cause from terrorist Hamas.
2. Before Hamas, Palestinians produced one Yasser Arafat who founded and innovated the art of terrorism and airplane highjacking. No amount of concessions and negotiation with this father of terrorism, for decades, convinced the Palestinians to adopt a two-state solution for peaceful co-existence.
3. Before Yasser Arafat, Palestinians produced another racist leader, Mohammed Amin al-Husseini, the Mufti of Jerusalem, who actively worked against the UN’s two-state solution platform of 1948, led the 1920 Nebi Musa riots against the Jews in the very Jewish Palestine, and established himself as an ally in Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany.
4. Since the failed Oslo Accords of the 1990s, more than 2400 Israelis have been killed or wounded in terror attacks by the Palestinians.
5. Beside popular Hamas membership, Islamic Jihad, The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), Fatah, Tanzim and Muslim Brotherhood - are all made up of “innocent” Palestinian citizenry.
Highest honor is given to families of so-called martyrs who execute Jews.
8. Palestinian families are paid a monthly stipend -- for life -- by the Palestinian Authority when a family member kill's themselves in the duty of slaughtering Jews. It is estimated out of 2000 Gazan terrorists who came into Israel on October 7th to behead, burn alive and kidnap - one half (1000!) were Palestinian citizens who were promised 17,000 shekels and up for broken limbs, rapes and savage killings. For every person kidnapped, they were promised not just money, but an apartment.
Because an admission of truth will, perish the thought;
a) delegitimize the UN at its core.
b) force European nations and the US to admit utter failure of decades of foreign policies.
c) force a myriad of civilized countries to quit financial aid to the Palestinians, hence admitting billions of dollars of taxpayer theft.
d) elucidate the fallacy and fraud of that two-state solution, which was invented by the west (prior to the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948) in order to appease the 22 Arab states. But more importantly…
….will immediately unite the Arab world, including nuclear Iran, in a war against the west.

Currently thinking that the best option for where that terrible Maggie plotline could be going is that it was actually a “break his heart to save him” sort of thing. Maggie’s working with some kind of underground group that’s trying to root out fascists in Yorkshire and help stop the Nazis.
She made up the whole being engaged thing in an attempt to keep Tristan safe. Arthur is also part of the underground group and there’s no real romantic connection. He agreed to be her fake fiance because he had to break up with his girlfriend to keep HER safe.
(Rest under the cut for length and a content warning. Discussion of Nazis.)
Unfortunately, this whole plan backfires because Maggie’s attempt at claiming “I’m engaged and we’re over” actually sounded ridiculously like “fight for me.” So Tristan assumes that’s what he’s supposed to do.
Ultimately Arthur has to tell Maggie to tell Tristan the truth because honestly, he was safer BEFORE she tried to break up with him to protect him. Tristan is understandably mad that she didn’t tell him the truth before. She argues she was trying to protect him.
He argues that if he had known they could have worked something out. Pretending to break up, and seeing each other in secret. Or at least he would have known that it was for his safety rather than because she didn’t love him.
Since he does know now, they work out a plan where he pretends to give up on her but they see each other secretly. Eventually when WWII begins, most of the rest of the group take more dangerous positions as spies or whatever. Maggie stays in Darrowby. She’s still involved, passing messages, and keeping their “just in case” letters, and whatnot, but she prefers to help with the war effort in a more traditional way. Besides, it keeps her close to not only her family, but to Tristan.
Actually you know what? Maggie trying to stop fascism and Nazism from taking hold in Yorkshire is 100% what we need.
If you’re going to put WWII in as anything more than “it’s happening in the background”, which seems to be the case, then the general way it’s presented shouldn’t be “the war and rationing put a damper on their happy home life.” It should be specifically noted how awful what they’re fighting against IS.
When Tristan eventually finds out what she’s doing have him ask her why. Have her tell him specifically what’s happening elsewhere in Europe. Have her make it exceedingly clear how awful it would be if it happened in their corner of the world. Have her make it clear just how easily it could. Have her point out to him that as a blonde (probably Christian) white woman, she would be fine. And that that’s WHY she needs to do everything she can to fight against fascism taking root in Yorkshire. She would be safe, he would be safe, but a lot of people they know and care about WOULD NOT BE SAFE.
Have her point to the Chapmans and to George Pandhi. Add some Jewish characters and have her mention them by name. Point out all of these people that don’t fit into the Nazi ideology. Have her point out that the people who DO aren’t okay either. Have her tell him that kids like her brother are being taken away and indoctrinated to hate. That women like her are being forced to have dozens of “perfect little Nazi babies.”
WWII is not just background color and no one in that time would have felt that it was. And in this age where Hitler’s rhetoric is being brought back and glorified, if a work is going to show WWII it MUST draw a clear picture of why the Nazis had to be stopped.

Hi! Since I saw you use the word "Putler" I'd like to ask for your point of view on the Hitler-Putin-comparisons that are being drawn.
Because - to me, so far - there just seems to be a tendency in Europe+North America to compare every big bad to Hitler and the Nazis. Sometimes it's more fitting than others. And I get that there is a certain similarity (attacking first and claiming it was only because the other side started/threatened for example, wanting "back" territory that's part of another country) and a sort of connection linking the two (Putin wanting to "denazify a country and its government lead by a Jewish president).
But personally it does make me feel a bit uncomfortable. Maybe because Nazis have been used so often as the Big Bad TM in movies etc as evil minions for the heroes to fight without really looking at the horror they caused and represented, that I'm not sure if people are drawing real comparisons or just go "bad guy in Europe? Hitler". I don't really know why I'm feeling so uncomfortable about this and I can put it into words even less, but I hope that you can at least partly understand where I'm coming from.
Anyways, I'd really love to hear your view on this
Okay. There are a few things to discuss here.
First, I obviously wrote that post in a sarcastic, off-the-cuff, snarky tone because as political satirists have known all the way since Ancient Greece, laughter is death to fear. That's why autocrats really, really, notoriously hate being laughed at, and why humor that targets people in (often cruel) power is funny, while humor that targets people who have already been oppressed and degraded isn't. (Think of the protestations of all the idiot white male comedians that they're being "cancelled," when what they're really doing is just being a dick to people who have had enough dickitude done to them for all of history.) If you can laugh at something or see it as ridiculous and worthy of mockery, you automatically become less afraid of it, and dictators rely on everyone being too afraid to challenge them. So if you mock Putin or point out the sheer idiocy of his plans (such as the bring-Yanukovych-back plan, which is indeed very, very stupid), you accordingly become less afraid of him. It's not that you're not taking it seriously, or lessening the real horror that people are going through, but Putin is doing this in large part because he wants to be respected and feared. When you do neither, you're destroying his mystique. Gallows humor has been a weapon in wartime since, again, the beginning of human history. In short, you're pulling the boogeyman out from under the bed and telling him to get lost, nobody is scared.
Second, there are other reasons to keep calling him that. As I have discussed before, almost the entire post-WWII Soviet/Russian national identity is built on its battle against Nazi Germany, the heroism of its collective sacrifice, and the part that it played in toppling Hitler. That's a large part of the reason Putin thought he could just invoke the "de-nazification" buzzword for his current Ukraine depraved adventurism and automatically have the Russian people support it. So if you're calling him "Putler," you're not only rejecting that propaganda argument (a guy who bombed Babi Yar, site of the 1941 massacre of 33,000 Jews that was so horrific even to the Nazis that they decided to use gas chambers instead, really, really has no leg to stand on anyway), but you're turning the one thing all of Russia is automatically preconditioned to hate back on Putin himself. If you're tying Putin's current actions to Hitler, you're opening the door for the Russians themselves to be like "yeah, that's not a good thing." By showing that Putin has taken the place of post-WWII Russia's collective and unquestioned villain, you're also tying that anchor around his neck in the court of domestic Russian public opinion, and that matters.
Third, if it walks like a Nazi, talks like a Nazi, hangs out with Nazis, and commits war crimes like a Nazi, it's probably a Nazi. All the people (still) voicing support for Putin in the west, such as the odious far-right Republican party members (though frankly, all of them are far-right by now), are longtime and open proponents of white supremacist/fascist rhetoric and neo-Nazi groups. The national embarrassment from Georgia, Marjorie QAnon Greene, just spoke at a white supremacist conference where the organizers led cheers for Putin. He has been held up as the defender of "white Christian traditional values," which is almost always a dogwhistle for latent or overt Nazi sympathies and white supremacist groups, and received admiration from many of those same people. If the only people supporting Putin in this conflict are those who pal around and court the support of Nazis, it's pretty fair to say that their ideological platforms are largely aligned. In fact, even Tucker Carlson, the rabidly pro-Russia mouthpiece on Fox News, has been trying to walk back some of his Putin worship due to it, apparently, running the risk of reminding people that the modern GOP are fascist zealots. Whoops.
Fourth, the similarities do go beyond merely "crass land grab in Europe against a sovereign nation and/or prominent Jewish people." Both Hitler and Putin legitimized themselves with a twisted appeal to their country's imagined and/or actual imperial history; Hitler with the medieval German Holy Roman Empire, Putin with the USSR and Russian Empire. Both of these messages overtly demonized and stigmatized anyone who was perceived as fitting outside this ethnic/national/religious ideal, and cultivated a sense of grievance and victimhood among the German/Russian people. They were the ones who had really been hurt; their suffering was worse, and so they were justified in carving out "lebensraum" for their master race. Hitler courted the support of the institutional church, and Putin has done the same with the Russian Orthodox church.
Hitler obviously said the quiet part aloud, but Putin has been busy cultivating this same sense of racial and linguistic grievance. Ever since Yanukovych's overthrow and the annexation of Crimea in 2014, the Kremlin has been going on and on about how the new Ukrainian government was supposedly unjustly persecuting Russian-speakers in the east of Ukraine and separatist Donetsk/Luhansk, how Russia is under threat from Ukraine (somehow, apparently), and even used the wording of "the Ukrainian question" in the editorial that was scheduled to be published after the Russian forces had completed their 48-hour triumphant victory. (You may have noticed that that, uh, did not happen.) That explicitly echoes the wording of the "Jewish question" that preoccupied Hitler and the Nazi party, and in both cases, the "final solution" evidently amounted to outright ethnic and cultural genocide. Or at least, we have troubling indications that that's what Putin personally believes (witness his unhinged rant about Ukraine having no right to exist as a state or separate entity), regardless of how successfully his forces are ultimately able to put it into action. (Likewise, Zelenskyy, aside from being Jewish, speaks Russian as his first language, making it even more incredible that the Kremlin is painting him as the head of a nefarious anti-Russian movement, but facts never get in the way of a good war.)
Putin might not have embarked on the same systemic, nationwide extermination program as Hitler, but he's long since been known for killing his political enemies and ruthlessly quashing all dissent, building a hollowed-out yes-man, cult-of-personality political apparatus that is answerable only to him. He's also recently gone full totalitarian in regard to trying to stop protests at home. Mothers with young kids who went to lay flowers at the Ukrainian embassy in Moscow were brutally arrested and taken to police stations; there are reports of people getting visited in the middle of the night and threatened to support the government or else, protesters are being forced to recant or lose their jobs, the penalty for even calling the war a war has been increased to 15 years in jail and a sentence of treason, and so forth. While this echoes the worst tactics of the 1930s Soviet Purge and the standard approach of the USSR-era KGB where Putin was trained, it also recalls Hitler's domestic reign of terror via the Gestapo and the SS, where "thoughtcrime," as George Orwell would call it, was considered to be just as much a threat. Russia's attacks in Chechnya, Syria, and the Crimea have also carried a racialized element of threat, and we've all seen how racism is on ugly display in this conflict. People of color get beaten up while trying to flee Ukraine and western newsreaders overtly describe Ukrainians as "looking like us" with "blue eyes and blonde hair" and "coming from civilized places." Not to mention their insistence on calling it "medieval." Okay then.
Likewise, the Nazis killed gay men, Russia infamously introduced its anti-gay law in 2013 (since fascism, white supremacy, misogyny, and homophobia go hand in hand), and both political movements grew out of national instability, post-war economic wreckage, and populist fear. After the disaster of WWI, Germany was reorganized as the Weimar Republic, but the Nazis came to power only ten years later amidst a widespread economic meltdown and promised safety and stability. After the disaster of the Cold War, Russia was reorganized as a "democracy" under Boris Yeltsin, but Putin then came to power about ten years later amidst a widespread economic meltdown and promised safety and stability. Hitler was chancellor for 6 years before he started WWII; Putin has been more patient at playing the long game, focused more on generating enormous wealth for himself and his inner circle rather than going straight to the persecution part. Hitler was admired in America (the Nazis' policy of extermination of "inferior" people was directly inspired by the American eugenics movement) and propped up by Americans such as Charles Lindbergh who thought he was a great guy. Putin is admired in America, etc etc, Donald Trump and the entire Republican party, etc. Hitler's invasion of Poland in 1939, Putin's invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Etc.
Anyway, I could doubtless say more, but I think you get the point. There are good reasons to stick Putin with that label, whether it be mocking him, pointing it out to the Russian people themselves, making the west actually think twice about how goddamn eager it has been to embrace right-wing Nazi analogues and copycat populist parties, or driving home the historical comparison and the danger that the world faces of sleepwalking right back into its previous mistakes. Or at least, so we can dearly hope it doesn't.

GRRM talking about exploring redemption specifically with Jaime and stating he personally hopes there can be a possibility of redemption for everyone is in his 2014 Rolling Stone interview. It’s a pretty well known quote, kind of a weird one not to know if you’re gonna weigh in on the big Jaime redemption debate... I guess you can just go for GRRM saying he finds it weird people crush on Jaime and the Hound instead, but it doesn’t really seem the most relevant one to me.
Alright, so I looked up his 2014 Rolling stone interview where he talks about redemption:
Q: Both Jaime and Cersei are clearly despicable in those moments. Later, though, we see a more humane side of Jaime when he rescues a woman, who had been an enemy, from rape. All of a sudden we don’t know what to feel about Jaime.
A: One of the things I wanted to explore with Jaime, and with so many of the characters, is the whole issue of redemption. When can we be redeemed? Is redemption even possible? I don’t have an answer. But when do we forgive people? You see it all around in our society, in constant debates. Should we forgive Michael Vick? I have friends who are dog-lovers who will never forgive Michael Vick. Michael Vick has served years in prison; he’s apologized. Has he apologized sufficiently? Woody Allen: Is Woody Allen someone that we should laud, or someone that we should despise? Or Roman Polanski, Paula Deen. Our society is full of people who have fallen in one way or another, and what do we do with these people? How many good acts make up for a bad act? If you’re a Nazi war criminal and then spend the next 40 years doing good deeds and feeding the hungry, does that make up for being a concentration-camp guard? I don’t know the answer, but these are questions worth thinking about. I want there to be a possibility of redemption for us, because we all do terrible things. We should be able to be forgiven. Because if there is no possibility of redemption, what’s the answer then? [Martin pauses for a moment.] You’ve read the books?
Q: Yes.
A: Who kills Joffrey?
Q: That killing happens early in this fourth season. The books, of course, are well past the poisoning of King Joffrey.
A: In the books – and I make no promises, because I have two more books to write, and I may have more surprises to reveal – the conclusion that the careful reader draws is that Joffrey was killed by the Queen of Thorns, using poison from Sansa’s hairnet, so that if anyone did think it was poison, then Sansa would be blamed for it. Sansa had certainly good reason for it.The reason I bring this up is because that’s an interesting question of redemption. That’s more like killing Hitler. Does the Queen of Thorns need redemption? Did the Queen of Thorns kill Hitler, or did she murder a 13-year-old boy? Or both? She had good reasons to remove Joffrey. Is it a case where the end justifies the means? I don’t know. That’s what I want the reader or viewer to wrestle with, and to debate.
Q: I don’t know if somebody like Jaime or Cersei can be redeemed. Cersei’s a great character – she’s like Lady Macbeth.
A: Well, redeemed in whose eyes? She’ll never be redeemed in the eyes of some. She’s a character who’s very protective of her children. You can argue, well, does she genuinely love her children, or does she just love them because they’re her children? There’s certainly a great level of narcissism in Cersei. She has an almost sociopathic view of the world and civilization. At the same time, what Jaime did is interesting. I don’t have any kids myself, but I’ve talked with other people who have. Remember, Jaime isn’t just trying to kill Bran because he’s an annoying little kid. Bran has seen something that is basically a death sentence for Jaime, for Cersei, and their children – their three actual children. So I’ve asked people who do have children, “Well, what would you do in Jaime’s situation?” They say, “Well, I’m not a bad guy – I wouldn’t kill.” Are you sure? Never? If Bran tells King Robert he’s going to kill you and your sister-lover, and your three children. . . . Then many of them hesitate. Probably more people than not would say, “Yeah, I would kill someone else’s child to save my own child, even if that other child was innocent.” These are the difficult decisions people make, and they’re worth examining.
So reading through this, GRRM says that he is exploring the answer to the question - Can the villains in my story be redeemed? As he points out in this interview, the answer to this question in 2014, was that he didn’t know.
He also compares Lannister villainy to Michael Vick, Woody Allen, Roman Polanski and Nazi war criminals. He asks if Nazi war criminals deserve forgiveness after feeding the hungry for 40 years. What do you think? Do you think Nazi war criminals deserve forgiveness and redemption?
But fandom has decided that according to this Jaime has now been redeemed and anyone who questions the existence of said redemption is a Jaime hater who lacks an understanding of how Jaime Lannister is totally a good guy now.
Oh and look, he is also talking about Cersei Lannister’s redemption in this same interview. Funnily enough, I don’t see anyone in fandom talking about Cersei’s redemption arc when GRRM is asking the same question with her character as he does with Jaime’s. He is talking about whether Cersei Lannister can be redeemed - Cersei has murdered babies!
GRRM is also asking if the Queen of Thorns deserves redemption for taking out baby Hitler. No one seems to be talking about that either.
GRRM also questions if Jaime’s attempted murder of a 7 year old is justified by framing it as the character trying to protect his own children. In my opinion though, this is a guy who is in his thirties, engaging in careless incestuous adultery with the Queen, in the enemy/guest’s home where the enemy could have come upon them anytime and then tried to murder a child to cover it up. Not justified, at all.  This is Jaime Lannister about Joffrey:
Because Joff was no more to me than a squirt of seed in Cersei's cunt, and he deserved to die.
I don’t know, the character does not come across as caring for his children. It was more about saving his and Cersei’s lives than it was about his children. And Cersei tried to stop him from murdering Bran.
Who had the harder choice to make? Jaime has sex with his twin sister, the queen, in Winterfell - because he just doesn’t care - and then tries to murder Ned’s child to cover it up. Or Ned, who wants to save Jaime’s children from Robert Baratheon’s wrath, warns Cersei to leave as soon as possible and in doing so dooms his entire family.
Ultimately the author is exploring the question of whether the baddies in his novel can be redeemed. Not that they will be redeemed or that they are on a path to redemption. He wants there to be a hope for forgiveness for his baddies at the end of their journey. Villains doing good for 40 years - can they be redeemed? In whose eyes do they need to be redeemed?
Jaime could be redeemed in Brienne’s eyes - because she loves him and he helped save her life. Does this mean Bran Stark should forgive him? Does this mean the small folk in the Riverlands who suffered and died because of the WOT5K brought about by his careless adultery should forgive him? Does this mean he is redeemed in the eyes of the reader?
As I stated, in my previous posts, from my interpretation of Jaime’s arc, I don’t see any redemption from Jaime Lannister in the books yet. He is still arrogant and self- serving. A little humbled by the loss of his hand - but able to brag all the same about being ‘Goldenhand the Just’ because he hanged some hungry outlaws. No introspection or acknowledgment of his past actions. We did see some guilt in the dreams he has about abandoning Elia and her children to the Mountain’s mercies despite having sworn an oath to protect them. What he will do about all that? I don’t know.
He did not abandon Cersei because she’s a bad person who murdered babies. He abandoned her to the mercies of the Faith Militant because she was unfaithful to him - because of the personal injury to him. He sees keeping his oaths with respect to Sansa as salvation and then sends off Brienne to do his job, while being engaged in enforcing Lannister rule in Westeros.
The comparison to Theon Greyjoy comes about because Theon has accepted his wrong, Theon is full of remorse and regret. Theon wishes he could go back and do differently. Theon is a broken man - and yet, despite being so afraid, he risks all to help Jeyne Poole - a character no one cares about.
'Can a man still be brave if he's afraid? ' 'That is the only time a man can be brave‘
Saving Jeyne Poole is not going to earn Theon Greyjoy any rewards. But he does it because it’s right - not because it makes him feel good. Does it mean that Theon Greyjoy - who murdered two little boys - is now redeemed and will get a happy ending?
So yeah, can Jaime be redeemed? The author will try to answer that question in books yet to be written and leave it up to the reader to decide if the character has indeed been redeemed.  Thus far I see no redemption, in my opinion and as per my interpretation of the text. Take that as you will.
