I love Raph and haven’t said that enough so to be more specific I love that Raph is a soft boy who loves bear plushies, a gross boy who eats an assortment of things that are definitely better left alone, a smart boy who is more than capable of taking down villains through planning and fortitude alike, a strong boy who is dedicated to training his muscles and fighting prowess, a teenage boy who loves his brothers but is more than happy to tease and roughhouse with them, an angry boy who sometimes lets his anger take a hold of him to cover the fear, a gentle boy who is generous with hugs and affirmations to those he loves, a capable boy who takes on more than should ever be expected of a teenager, a good boy who just wants to be a hero and slowly comes to realize the cost of that duty, a good boy who has no reservations about putting himself in the way of harm coming to his family, a good boy who’s a great brother and son and person and deserves only the best the world has to offer.

And for sure, there will definitely be more Wyatt!! Especially now that he's in CPD where he actually has an entire story arc that revolves around him!! He also doesn't look any different from when he was a FNAF OC, he's still an animatronic mascot, he just got ported over to Cyberpunk Dragons where he's the main character for the world's largest multi-media company, Neon Wonderland (essentially the in-universe equivalent of Disney with Wyatt as their Mickey Mouse).
A little fun fact about Wyatt, he is the only fully sentient robot in the CPD universe, and it's a very closely guarded secret by his company!

the more I watch of the modern Lupin series compared to the old ones it becomes clearer and clearer that the current team of writers and directors and artists just don’t get Goemon. His peak character design was those first few movies imo, where he looks intimidating and way too intense but also out of place and a little silly. Nowadays the that “Moemon” sort of shit has infected TMS and we have to see shit like how Goemon is portrayed in parts 4-6, where he’s massively taken down in any sort of intimidation and the bite to his dialogue is all but gone. At it’s worst it takes his lack of social skills and awkwardness and makes it naïveté and being overly gullible or inept. There are episodes in those parts that don’t do this to Goemon, but they’re not really what the average episode portrays. I just miss the sharp sassy, dangerously intense edge Goemon used to have.
#rewatched an episode of part 5 for some screenshots and. i even liked this episode when I first watched it#but it just doesn’t hit that characterization for Goemon correctly#this is another reason I think Mystery of Mamo had some peak Goemon#I even like Fuma Conspiracy as another facet to Goemon’s personality bc he’s not portrayed the same as he is in more recent versions#he’s not as edgeless#idk how to put this it’s been a long day#and part 2 where he’s been with the gang for a while and he’s got that deadpan sass and assholery to him#I want bitchy bastard Goemon back :(#goemon ishikawa xiii#half my damn tag for him now is me complaining 😭#i say this as someone who LIKES these parts. i think part 4 has some awesome episodes and cool art design and I like Fujiko and Zeni in it#part 5 has some fun callbacks and some good moments for the gang and even features one of my favorite episodes.#part 6 is weak as hell at the beginning but towards the end gave me another favorite episode with Goemon as well as some wholesome gang#also does better at giving Goemon an edge again in his character design#the thing is that all of these have moments where they portray Goemon as the comic relief and not in the same way he was in parts 1-3#listen I think he can be cute and gullible and all that but not as the staple to his portrayal!!!! it should be rare as hell!!!!#in the same vein they’ve taken all of Jigen’s silliness out the window and made him way more serious and angsty than he used to be#I always loved how Jigen looks like he’s going to be the most brooding motherfucker alive#and like. he can be but at his core he’s a goof like Lupin who loves committing crimes and using his gun and enjoying his vices#he’s a grouchy greasy man but he’s not the straight man to Lupin’s bullshit any more than the rest of the gang#the character portrayals just feel like they’re hinging on old tropes and done to death references of other parts#theyve got 70s years worth of character to work with and they still choose only one shallow facet to portray#even Lupin sometimes feels like the writers are trying to do a worse version of cagliostro or late part 2#let’s not even start on poor Zenigata and the disrespect he got in part 6#Fujiko fluctuates pretty heavily even in the old ones but I will say that they’ve kind of done something similar w her as Jigen#where she’s not as silly anymore#I think of all of them Fujikonis the one who’s gotten more decent development over the years#bc she doesn’t get as much uncomfortable misogyny directed her way#key words: as much

I watched s4 of tdp and I really liked it!
I have many random thoughts but I don't really have the time to turn it all into a serious post, so I'll just ramble a bit in the tags. Spoiler warning!
#tdp#tdp spoilers#i love soren so much. he might be my favorite character now#i enjoyed all the new characters and i like how they handled the old ones#i was afraid stella would be annoying but she was actually quite cute. besides the suspicious moments#all the dragons designs are magnificent. love them so much#the new intro makes me think of hdm intro. i don't mind it though#the solo cello part is hauntingly beautiful#mhm what else. i like how callum and rayla's relationship was handled. felt natural to me#also ive seen comments about rayla feeling off or out of character. i personally haven't felt that#i think how she's acting makes sense taking moonshadow elf culture into consideration#i don't really need to know everything that happened during 2 year gap. though i wonder if anything interesting did happen only#we don't know it yet#the season felt kinda slow but i don't mind this#i'd rather take slow than rushed#i enjoy viren much more now that he's more torn and unsure#claudia as a villain is fun to watch#her ralationship with terry is interesting i wonder what she really thinks about him#oh and i loved all the atla references. the yip#yip felt me with so much joy haha#there's much more in my head but i'll leave it at this for now. i really want to make some fanart!!#but i don't know if i'll find the time#me talking stuff

already made this post 50000 times but when i remember that qifreys cloak and hat are smoke-colored im like Wow. because i do completely different things with my colors. Lol
#allister just really likes using cool toned and bright colors ... WHO KNEW ...........#in earlier stuff (and this goes for all of the characters) the coloring was more dull and basic#but kamome generally uses really nice colors for art of the characters#qifreys pallete ... atleast for a guy like me .. is kind of difficult#ive taken note of official art though. theres that one piece where his hair and what not are shaded and highlighted with purple#sometimes hes also been associated with blues ....#because white blue and black look really nice together. also the whole being a water wizard Lol#i like using purples blues and pinks with him :-)#and cyans for the whites because thats just my go to white substitute#i think ive made the cloak more of a pink before.#although i think in my art his cloak just reads as white as opposed to off white#but then again i cant really recall colored art ive done where hes wearing his cloak#anyway i wanna do more art in general that has CRAZY ass colors#anyway anyway. one of my favorite things to do is use the apprentices colors when i draw qifrey#i think its cute :-)) and i just like green pink blue and purple together its so fun#i like qifreys design but also its very different from like every other design i like. where is the COLOR !!!!!!!!!#remember qifrey concept art design.#getting teardrop to talk

told myself I was gonna work on some writing today but I actually spent the whole day playing genshin impact..... I'm sorry
#allow me to rant about genshin in the tags#I played for like 8 hours today cause I had the day off#and omg sumeru is so fun#it's very pretty I love all the new enemies and environments and the music is amazing as always#exploring new regions and areas will forever be my favorite part about genshin so when new areas are added I always play like crazy#I spent $50 cause I really wanted tighnari and I lost 50/50 so I spent $50 more to get him lmao#but I think it was worth it he's soooo cute#I love his big ears and his hoodie and ugh the whole aesthetic of dendro just appeals to me greatly#I also love collei I never read the genshin manga so I don't know much about her but her design is awesome#she has a little cat thingy I can't it's so cute#and her outfit is amazing it's adorable and really nice for a four star character honestly#the only thing I don't like about genshin is that you can't skip the dialogue for quests.....#like I have to take a break because my fingers hurt from mashing the space bar#okay I'll shut up genshin is one of my favorite things so I can talk about it endlessly haha

Also, in now being through FNAF Sister Location, I understand what people meant about the lore of this series being fucked up. Like, I had a general idea about what the lore was. But still seeing it for myself is different, of course. And there were also some things I didn't know.
#i was actually going to make a post asking how people like any of the animatronics. because people seem to right?#and before i was kind of feeling like i'd never get to a place where i would like any of them. not really because i'm scared of them#but more because they annoy me? i mean i'm not even playing but watching markiplier play all the time i was kind of like 'why would you#ever like any of them who make you die all the time enough to say that this particular one is your favorite or whatever?'#but i may finally be getting to a place where i get it a little and might have my own favorites -shrugs-#i think i might like chica because she's a gal. and i've always tended to gravitate to female characters since i'm a girl myself#plus her design can be cute when it's not terrifying#and then i also like freddy (which i guess is shocking because he's usually not a favorite of most people's. like they usually have a fave#above him) because he doesn't seem to jump scare mark as much as some of the others do. at least not to me (neither does chica for that#matter). i wanted to like foxy because he seemed cool in freddy in space 2 (the first fnaf thing i ever saw weirdly enough) but he jump#scares you way too much in the games#i also really wanted to have bonnie as a favorite. because i liked that design. but bonnie also jump scares you a lot. especially in#the second one

There's one convo with Astarion that's one of my favorites that I haven't seen mentioned or discussed yet happens (I assume) if you have high approval with him but play a good-aligned character. (This is at 60+ approval, start of Act 2.) It's probably because it's not a romantic cutscene so it doesn't get mentioned as much as the others (or because he's racist in it and some of y'all don't like to acknowledge that he has character flaws), but I think it's vital to his character and to explain his early relationship with a good-aligned Tav.
I would like to break it down a little, step by step. Because we are all cringe here.
First, he claims to feel a connection between Tav and himself, and the reason for this is because he believes he's identified "ambition" in Tav (and I'll explain why he's wrong later, but that's mostly headcanon territory, so we'll ignore it for now).
But, there's also clearly something holding Tav back from realizing their full potential, which is their naivete.
"Just that you ... have a big heart. You like doing what's right."
(The animations and voice acting here make him look and sound so fucking condescending, 10/10.)
However, Astarion doesn't tell them this is wrong, or that he disagrees. He implies it's a flaw, but doesn't state it outright. That's dangerous territory, see, and might predispose them to get defensive and reject what he has to say next.
No, he tries (and fails in my case, but it's cute that he tries, bless him) to manipulate Tav by appealing to that big heart of theirs.
"So I was thinking, what would be the right thing to do when we get to Moonrise Towers? When we come face-to-face with whoever is controlling the parasites in our heads."
"I'm just saying there's an opportunity here. If we can control the tadpoles, we can keep ourselves safe and liberate the world from this evil."
See what he's doing? You like doing what's right, so what would be the right thing to do? We can keep ourselves safe. Liberate the world from evil.
It's very blatant, but he's trying to appeal to Tav's good nature by framing his questionable ideas as something that will benefit the greater good, something that's morally righteous that they would agree with.
And of course, it's incredibly funny when you ask how he thinks you'll do that, and he fumbles and admits he's not a "details person," but it's also revealing.
He thinks he's found in Tav ambition, when all he's actually found is ability. Tav exercises power proficiently, while Astarion does not. If he had the authority they have, he'd let ambition drive his actions, which is why he assumes that's what drives Tav when they exercise their power. A good-aligned Tav has very little ambition, I'd argue, but they have plenty of opportunity to exercise their power, which they do when their hand is forced.
So what Astarion is saying is, in effect, hey, you have power, I have ambition. Will you please use your authority/ability to do what I want? Here's how it'll totally be for the greater good, I prommy.
This is brilliant writing, and I really applaud Larian for managing to walk that fine line of making Astarion so sympathetic while he's literally trying to manipulate the player character. Because when I first got this convo, my thought was both "wow, I adore how blatant and terrible his manipulation attempts are, it's kind of endearing" and "he's so terrified, it's genuinely quite tragic."
If we control the tadpoles, we can keep ourselves safe. This works only somewhat as an appeal to good-aligned Tav, because it could also potentially sound very selfish, especially if Tav is the self-sacrificing sort. So notice how, when he says "liberate the world from evil", it sounds kinda tacked-on, an afterthought designed to bury his main goal, which is keep "ourselves" (i.e. himself) safe. Like, yes, this will keep us/me safe, but if you're not into that, then it'll totally help the world, too! It doesn't quite work, because he still sounds ironic and like he doesn't believe they'd be liberating anything from any evil (work that 10 Charisma, boy), but that's the intent, I think.
Does he want power for power's sake? Yes. Is he gleefully powerhungry? Absolutely. But he's also fucking terrified, and that slips through just a little bit, even behind the smug and confident facade.
He's trying to get Tav, whom he's seen exercise their power over others, to lend some of it to him, so that he may never fear anything ever again.
All of this from a short, smug convo where he admits he's too stupid to figure out how to fulfill his dreams of world domination.
God tier characterization, 10/10.

Rafayel adores aquarium dates, or ones that involve his art, like an art exhibit that he meticulously prepared with his entire being. He thinks you’re cute whenever you point at one of his paintings; the same one that he dedicated for you
The only thing he expects from you the most is your time and dedication like said before, although, he loves it when you buy him things like fruits or ocean-themed plushies (even if he doesn’t admit to having 5 plushies on his bed)
Rafayel will definitely tease you by saying he didn’t get you anything when he’s not even trying to hide the jewelry box behind his back. Which in fact, is filled with family heirlooms and things like jellyfish inspired earrings or a whale bracelet..he intends in marrying you one day so it means a lot to him how you accept it!
Has the most exclusive nicknames for you, like his flower, the shine of his eyes, his ocean pearl..they’re mostly related sea terms but nothing out of the ordinary.
Xavier;
Always has a spare set of pijamas whenever you come over to stay during the night. Sometimes, he’ll match with you while in others, Xavier wears little clothing if it’s a hot summer night
His favorite type of dates is going to the observatory during a cold night, especially if he gets to share a blanket under the stars with you
Xavier is more of a simple guy, he doesn’t like over the top expensive gifts and would prefer things like flowers, a new bedsheet set, plushies…
However, when it comes to gift you things, Xavier would do anything (even if it was impossible to do so) like bringing down a star from the night sky for you. He opts in giving you a star/sun necklace that matched with his moon one
Xavier isn’t used to calling you his, although it’s cute whenever he gets shy, holding your hand while walking under the stars whenever he gets the chance to do so. But his favorite nickname is “his star”
Zayne;
Even with his busy schedule, Zayne makes time for you, or invites you to spend lunch with him. After all, he was pleased to see you smile while interacting with the restaurant’s cat.
He loves outdoor dates since he’s cooped up in an office most of his time, although Zayne wouldn’t mind inviting you to a restaurant or going to an arcade during the afternoon
Zayne loves to give you jewelry, simple things like charms for your bracelet or rings that end up matching with his and he will never ask for anything back. He actually dislikes seeing you spend money for him, after all, he wouldn’t hesitate to spoil his beloved
Even if he hates it when you spend money on him, Zayne is fond of flowers and keeps some in his home. You also buy him a phone case with a small cat design because his phone is in need of one.
