I don't know who all will see this, probably not a lot of people, but my boyfriend and I started an LGBT-safe gaming channel on YouTube! We're called Rainbow Gayming, and we're super excited to have the channel. The Joys of Being a Lesbian Gamer

I'm a lesbian, and I love video games. I know what you're thinking: "But aren't most gamers guys?" Well, yes, they are. But that doesn't mean there aren't plenty of us lesbians out there who love to game.

In fact, I think being a lesbian gamer has its own unique advantages. For one thing, we're used to being outnumbered. So when we do find ourselves in a gaming community, we're not afraid to speak up and make ourselves heard. We're also not afraid to challenge the status quo.

Another advantage of being a lesbian gamer is that we have a built-in understanding of the importance of representation. We know what it's like to be underrepresented in the media, so we're always looking for games that feature LGBTQ characters. And when we find them, we celebrate them!

Of course, there are also some challenges to being a lesbian gamer. For one thing, we sometimes have to deal with homophobia and sexism from other gamers. But we're tough cookies, and we're not going to let that stop us from enjoying our hobby.

So if you're a lesbian gamer, I want you to know that you're not alone. There are plenty of us out there, and we're all here to support each other. So keep gaming, and keep being awesome!

Last night, I just finished The Last of Us Part 2…

What do I think about the game overall?

I totally love it.

My thoughts on Abby…

I actually enjoyed playing her character more than Ellie. The whole bashing upon the character and the game, I'm starting to believe people just generally have nothing better to do than to vent their stress of 2020 out on a game that was obviously good… Well… At least in my opinion.

Abby and Lev weren't just thrown in characters. Their stories and personalities were well drawn out. I think nowadays people are disgusted by political agendas but to be honest, Lev's character creates a story that makes sense for Abby to connect where a fresh side is shown other than being a so-called 'Grunt'. That's the word Manny used to describe himself and Abby. They were trained to not become phased by torturing and killing people. Abby was Issac's 'Killer Dog'. Loyal, devoted to the cause, and highly disciplined.

I understand why Abby chose to become muscular, focused, and capable. Her past reflects that and she became a savior to two kids with her skills. The bash was on how her character is not aesthetically pleasing to look at, calling her a man or a trans when the leak happened. Which while playing her it was obvious that she's just a built woman like a crossfit junkie.

Has anyone ever seen someone who's into crossfit training? They look like her. It's the manipulation of Media that doesn't focus on the other spectrum of women who have Abby's body type with an A-cup-sized chest.

Either way, Abby is a misunderstood character and Lev connects with that and they relate well. I'm gonna point something out. I don't think Abby is the Antagonist. I think it falls on Ellie becoming the villain in this story. While playing Abby I got the real feel of what it was like to be hunted. The scenario sniper Tommy was frightening. We love Joel, Tommy, and Ellie, but facing them on the other side of the spectrum is absolutely terrifying. Like Dina said in the shindig scene, "they should be terrified", I'm scared as F*** of Ellie more than Abby.

Well...

I enjoyed Abby's story a lot, not because she's tough and misunderstood, but because she is faced with the same difficult decisions Joel had to make in the first game and how I know that. The scene with her talking to her father.

Even though she said it was ok for her father to sacrifice her to save the world, it was a scenario that was only high-talk. Her father basically stayed silent about it, because if he was faced with that decision I have a gut feeling the fatherly instincts would let the world burn to have his daughter. Joel made that decision to become the fatherly figure to Ellie and chose her over the world.

Abby the moment she blocked Issac and the rest of the Wolves from killing Lev, that was also a difficult choice. She created a new life with the faction and made new friends, but she chose to do the right thing and like Joel and Ellie, Abby prioritized Lev over that life. She ended up having to kill her own people to get Lev off the island and leaving Seattle was a must. If people actually played the game or kept a neutral mindset they would see that Abby took the high ground in a lot of scenarios over Ellie. Even after all her circle of friends died by the hands of Tommy and Ellie, she wanted a new life away from vengeance.

That's why it broke my heart to see her and Lev get snagged by the Rattlers, because it was obvious that she bonded with Lev and she seemed lively with her words and happy. However, it didn't last and who knows what really happened to them during those couple of months. I don't really want to think about it.

That's why I love the game and how the two stories of Ellie and Abby mirror each other. Both sought revenge, and created pain and ended up suffering. When one finds happiness, it's taken away. Happiness is short-lived in a post-apocalyptic world like The Last of Us.

And Lev…

I would like to play a DLC revolving around Lev and Abby. It's just basically two of them against the world, trying to find peace.

I understand a majority hates this game, but I actually love it. To me it was fun, the boss fights for an Easy Mode Gamer like myself kept me on my toes. The graphics were amazing and the gaming experience was awesome. I actually want to play it again and take my time.

It would be great to play a Part 3 in the future …

Who knows what will happen...
