💝Throughout February, I’ll be posting 28 unforgettable outfits from film and television that I love. I even made an original logo for this series! My third FebruWEARy pick: Leslie Knope’s wedding dress makes me emotional. Parks and Recreation was truly a once in a lifetime show, always laughing with instead of at. It’s the only satire I’ve ever seen that is deeply grounded in hope and sentimentality. And in many ways, this dress is an excellent showcase for how emotionally driven the comedy series was. Handmade by her best friend Ann, the skirt of Leslie’s wedding dress was made of “meaningful bills, pictures, documents and mementos.” Leslie is known from being extremely thoughtful in her friendships and never asks for anything in return. And while she loves to exchange gifts, your friendship IS the gift to her in Leslie’s eyes. So it was beautiful to see something like this be done for her. The dress itself is very chic but the story behind makes it beautiful, in my opinion.
