Ati saves Leras life, maybe he's falling from a cliff, maybe he's injured, maybe he's getting overwhelmed by enemies, he saves his life and laughs "you're not getting rid of me that easily"

it's a recurring phrase with them, a promise that they'll stay together

When Ati takes up the shard of Ruin and Leras is devastated, Ati comforts him, "you're not getting rid of me that easily", promising he'll hold on as far as he can

When they're both swallowed by their Shards, twisted to fit their Intent, when all remnants of people they used to be has crumbled, when Preservation betrayes Ruin and locks him up, Ruin whispers, "you're not getting rid of me that easily", a promise for vengeance
