When a mysterious superpowered hyperactive kangaroo shows up in Metropolis looking for someone named "Diana," Krypto and Streaky find themselves roped into helping the animal find her.
hey! wake up! titans beast world? foxy nightwing? what are you talking about? its 2005 and the new krypto the superdog episode is about bathound teaming up with a literal robin!
my definition of a ‘Robin’ is extremely vague. For example, I’m counting Lois Lane because she went to a costume party as Robin, and I’m also counting ‘Boy’ from Batman: the Return of Bruce Wayne because he had the domino mask paint and was clearly a stand-in for Robin. Et cetera.
They’re organized chronologically by their first appearance as Robin
Also this is heavily dependent on DC Fandom Wiki, so please let me know if I missed anyone or if anything is inaccurate
KEY
Red = actually Robin for a significant portion of time (more than a few in-universe days & more than one issue/episode/movie/etc)
Italics = was never Robin in main continuity (i.e. Earth Two [before Earth One existed], Earth One, New Earth, and Prime Earth)
Bold = I actually acknowledge them as Robin in my heart

I mentioned in another post about the 2005 Krypto the Super-Dog cartoon, and how it was under-rated, and the first episode is much of the reason I think that.
Technically it is set in the same universe as Superman: The Animated Series, and Batman the Animated Series (albeit the "funny animal" corner of them both).
This scene is the very first one in the very first episode (called "Krypto's Scrypto") and it sets the scene nicely.
As in the classic Superman comics, Krypto was a puppy who was the family pet of the El family, especially little Kal, who adored him (and vice versa, because Krypto is a GOOD dog)
So the family dad Jor, using the family puppy as a test subject for his highly experimental spaceship project seems a bit... well... let's just say "ethically dubious". However, he does make sure there's plenty of water, and dog food, and treats and toys to play with, so he's not a complete monster.
Also as in the comics, there is an accident, though rather than the usual "asteroid thingie" it's more of an "overenergetic puppy" issue. Look, if you don't foresee issues when giving a puppy a bouncy ball to play with in a zero g environment crammed with sensitive controls, then how great a scientific genius can you be? As even Krypto notes, puppy-proofing should have been a LOT higher on the list.
So, in this version, the ship triggers it's "Evacuation to Earth" protocol that Jor-El had been working on, and Krypto is put into hibernation until they get there.
Many people are aware of the mediocre Superpets movie from last year but least it made people remember Krypto as a character.
And man, Krypto the Superdog is so nostalgic to me cus it was my entry way into DC Comics and Comic Books as a whole and I wouldn't really be reading comics or manga without him.
That 2005 show was something else...
Ever thought of doing Ring Racers commissions? Cause I've been trying to find on so that they can do one for Krypto The Superdog (2005 version)
I've briefly thought about it before! In the end, I figured that pixel art isn't really my forte so it's something I can get burnt out on pretty easily. I really have to be in the zone to make a character that I myself would want to see.
Maybe someday, though! For now, I THINK there are a few people in the KartKrew Discord that take custom character comms.
((speaking of kathleen barr, beloved queen of voicing both trixie and chrysalis, this is kinda niche but
idk if anyone else watched the 2005 krypto the superdog cartoon but it was my favorite as a kid bc I was always the talking animal movie child, anyways I always loved catwoman's cat isis in that bc uhh girlboss cat burglar with a cool design and when I found out really late that she voiced her too I went damn I guess everything comes full circle in a way
she also voiced A SECOND siamese cat in the LPS cartoon that used to air at the same time as FiM I think for like a single episode lol
