Why are illustrations for novels different? How many artists did this story?
There's been three different illustrators for the Japanese releases of the novels. They were first illustrated by Yoshitaka Amano; you can see his artwork for novels 1-10, after which the publisher changed from Kadokawa Bunko to Kappa Novels. Shinobu Tanno took over with the illustrations from this point (and also illustrated the earlier books for their editions released with this new publisher). Finally, the Kobunsha Bunko release of the series features illustrations by Yamada Akihiro.

Street art is not the most common form of art in Japan. Even works created by famous artists are quickly taken down once discovered. However, this Astro Boy graffiti has existed in Japan for over a decade. The tribute to Osamu Tezuka’s iconic robo-wonder could be seen on the bridge below the JR tracks near Shibuya’s Tower Records.
Astro Boy, as one of the most recognizable anime characters in Japan, has his concepts and images deeply engraved in people's hearts. "Astro Boy" is a science fiction manga created by Japanese manga artist Osamu Tezuka and serialized in the "Shonen" manga published by "Kobunsha" from 1952 to 1968. In an era where technology coexists with humanity, he is a perfect robot and strives to become more human-like. "Astro Boy" almost caused a sensation throughout Japan when it was released. This brave, intelligent with over 100,000 horsepower, capable of doing anything little robot was almost loved by everyone. His fame grew larger and even gained success in overseas promotion. Since the French artist Invader painted him under a subway station, Astro Boy has become a habit for Japanese people to see him every day when they commute, and they all believe that Astro Boy is protecting them every time they see him.
The same type of work as the one before Invader was auctioned off for 1.22 million US dollars at Sotheby's. Therefore, this work of the same series has also received a lot of attention. The fame of the artist and Astro Boy himself has made this work extra famous. Therefore, this work has become a famous attraction in Tokyo Shibuya.
