Been a minute! The holidays are finally over, and I feel myself emerging from the deep introverted coma that followed after a couple months of travel, gatherings, and countless hours of cooking, baking, gift knitting, and the like.

I finished a bunch of stuff over the past month or so and finally have FO photos to share!

In 2022, I found out that I knitted 25 things! Eleven pairs of socks, 3 tops, 1 sweater, and 2 bralettes—plus a pair of shorts, a hat, shawl, and cowl. Some misc. gift knits are in there, too, including holiday ornaments and dishcloths.

Currently I have one WIP on the needles (a cardigan) while I work through a sewing fever. A good friend gifted me a sewing book for Xmas, and I dove in immediately. I’m obsessed. I made pants that I’m wearing right now. Will likely cover all of this in a separate post at some point.

And fresh off the needles, this commission is finished! A pair of socks made from cotton, nettle fiber, silk, and linen. This was such a fun project to work on, and I do hope they serve their new owner well!

I'm in a knee high phase now.  These are going to be a birthday gift for my tween niece.  Lana Grossa Meilenweit Merino Extrafine Cosima is so very soft!  I abandoned my efforts to stash down when I saw this rainbow colorway and stocked up.

Halloween socks! 🎃🐈‍⬛👻

This colour is called "Sparkling Lights" and I love it. 🌟🌟🌟🌟 This was my first time knitting socks, first time using double-pointed needles, and first time using my special knitting stitch markers! This was really awesome because I've been knitting for about 15 or 16 years now, but only at a beginner level. I'm finally starting to learn more now that I have crochet under my belt since June. 💪 Really excited to see what else I'll knit now that I know how to use DPNS and have a TON more Hobbii sock yarn on the way. #hobbiiuniversechristmas (The Christmas Universe sock yarn is on sale rn btws. This colour is sold out, but still. I snagged the remaining two colours and each of the Halloween Universe line in wool. I'm gonna have warm feets all winter long!) 🐑 Also, one pair of socks only took up about 33% of one yarn cake, so like.. that's soooo nice to have enough to make multiple pairs, especially because I love this colour and now it's sold out. I could probably make some knee or thigh highs out of the other yarn cakes I ordered. I'm so exciteddd. 👌 So yeah. My goal was to finish these before Christmas, and I did it! So I did finish the sock last night. It was just late because I messed up the decreases on the toe and had to rip back. Anyways I love it and can't wait to start the second sock.

What do we think about these socks? They are so stinking cute!!!

I started knitting these socks back in July for a friend (gasp, so long ago). I know, I know. But here's the thing.. I finished the actual sock in July.. it has taken me this long to knit all the little accent pieces: the gills, feet, fins.. and it made me realize I DONT LIKE to knit these kinds of socks.. they are so beautiful, but I've broken 2 sets of DP needles, and I've ordered more to finish.. THATS right! I need to finish. Lol 🫠🤣

Basically, you don't know what you like until you try.. this is a first for me. I've crocheted/ knitted many things.. socks are not it.

Fresh pair of pink sockies off the needles! Yarn is Hedgehog Fibres Sock in Taffy. At first it was super hard to capture this colorway with any accuracy, but thankfully my little orange pal arrived in time to serve up some color balance 🟠
