PSA for all the people who have a pet Fibre Artist, whether you have a Knitter, a Crocheter or perhaps one of the more rare breeds like Spinners and Lace-Makers, make sure that they take frequent breaks from their craft by playing with them and taking them on walks since Fibre Artists are prone to giving themselves RSIs and Carpal Tunnel when left to their own devices for too long!

I nålbinded (nålbound?) a pumpkin for Halloween (pattern)

The body is Brodén stitch; I've not tried that one before but it's pretty easy once you get the hang of it. The original pattern wants a lucet cord for the stalk and wool-wrapped wire for the vine, but I don't have either so I improvised and made them with Oslo stitch - I reckon they came out alright.

The wool looked more orange-y in the picture online and the pumpkin has a definite "apple-ish" quality to it as a result, but I made it, I finished it on time, and I learned some things. Very pleased with myself.

being interrupted while i'm working on the fiddly bit of a needle craft straight up makes me feel like a horror movie werewolf who's trying desperately to be good but just got an unexpected visitor three minutes before the full moon rises. like i know you have no way to understand and no reason to believe what i'm saying, but you NEED to leave right now before i start growing claws and fangs and fur and every bone in my body breaks and reforms and i do something that neither of us will ever recover from. i beg of you.
