@knifegremliin submitted: very large lady I saw today! none of the pictures really show just how large she was, but she was very, very cool! largest spider I've ever seen in the wild! I spent a good 10-15 minutes just taking pictures and admiring her lol

no ID necessary, as I'm pretty sure she's a banded fishing spider.

I would have also spent that much time admiring her! Fishing spiders are great and yes, they can get very large! As big as a 4″ leg span in the upper range. And yes, your ID looks correct :)

hi! so my primary name is Gremlin, but for "normal" names I us Cass and Elliott! but I'd really like to try to have just one "normal" name. so could I get some sentences for both Elliott and Cass? I use he/they pronouns! my favorite podcast is The Magnus Archives and I recently adopted a cat who I named Magnus because of that! Cass has a nice name. He likes reading and writing, which is awesome. I wonder what kind of stuff he likes to read. I bet Cass is a great author and I’d love to read his writing some time. They also love drawing! That’s wonderful. They are also into video games and their favorite is Skyrim. I’d love to hang out with them and play Skyrim! Cass’s favorite color is green, though there was a time when it was different. I hope this helped Cass!

how do you deal with having to wait so long to be able to see brood x cicadas again? last year was the first time I saw them and MAN I am missing them so bad :(

We don't have periodical cicadas where I live so I didn't get to see them anyway :( I did enjoy all the photos though! And there are different broods that will emerge in the years to come :) Here's a page that shows the different broods and the years they will (likely) emerge.
