leah & klaus, 1/? : childhood things

TO said klaus used to make his own paint out of flowers and berries, which means he had to collect them at some point, most likely in the woods. and since leah always wanted to explore said woods, she’d tag along ( whether he approved or not, lol, she definitely went through a period of following him wherever he went like baby sisters do ). so klaus would collect his paint materials while leah collected herbs for esther. it’s one of the fondest memories she has of him and of her childhood in general

speaking of herbs: leah showed no talent for magic but, considering how good she was with plants from a very young age, esther was tutoring her to be a healer of sorts. and while leah never dared to stand up to mikael for him like we saw rebekah too, afterwards she used whatever she learnt to patch klaus up the best she could.

viktor - 🍺(beer) - camaraderie, full 'bro'-ness, or a turn to reliance on alcohol? he doesn't have powers anymore; would he find it good that he won't blow up the world, or bad because he's ordinary?

luther - 🕺(dancing) - celebration? relaxation? maybe he finds sloane, or its a cover for not outright describing his arc. luther's also known for the crab move he does too.

diego - 📦(box/package) - new job? but it doesn't track, if he's back in vigilante gear. dad package? dad zone? a want to move out of hargreeves city? that last one is a maybe, but also unclear

lila - 🍼(baby bottle) - mothering, that baby for sure lived. i'd hate it if that's what she's reduced to, but i could get behind it if her arc was moving on from her own mommy issues with the handler. maybe it shifts her character, with someone else to care for – i hope she gets a scene with allison

allison - 👩‍👦(mom and child) - mothering 2, for an older kid, claire for sure. her actions and decisions will be family-oriented, something to finally keep her kid. she could be at odds with anyone from last season, but claire is what she'll stand for. (again, praying for a herxlila scene)

klaus - 🧽(sponge) - he's clean !!! and for sure levelling up further, or spiralling in. comics fans have gone on for years about bare feet and levitation, and maybe we'll finally get it.

ben - 🔒(lock) - maybe his true persona is locked? or he's locking himself away? we're still unclear as to whether this is Umbrella or Sparrow Ben, but the season could probably make that very point clear when it airs

five - 🕵‍♂️(detective) - detective mode !! they'll relegate five to being the brains of the operation once more. maybe he'll investigate the new universe, or reginald's motive and power himself.

reginald - 🧠(brain) - the key mind of this world. he programmed it, therefore he reaps his own rewards. we don't know yet how he's designed this world.

sometimes i think about the fact five's trauma technically never happened

if somebody dies and you had the ability to go back and time and prevent it, what do you do with the leftover trauma? you are left with the trauma of a horror only you have seen. something that, by all logic, has never happened, because you were there to prevent it from occurring. did it ever truly happen? and if not, then what is there to mourn? how do you mourn the loss of something that was never lost?

one way leah is alike klaus is that she's very quick of accusing people of 'siding against' her. she's far less explosive about it, mind you; her go to response is to shut down and distance herself from the person / situation. but it's often irrational and not based in reality cause 1) usually she won't even present her side 2) sometimes she will lie and admit to doing something she hasn't ( like klaus did with the murder of aiden ) 3) she assumes people won't believe her anyway so she just ... never tries and then gets mad when people don't believe her <3
