So uhm---- the concept of Emmet being the king of the Systar was a thing back then-
So some friends and I saw the concept of Emmet being the King of the Systar, but we decided to make our very own version based on that concept! So these are some designs.
Rex's outfit is heavily based of one of his beta designs clothing, Emmet is inspired of a "Caramel King", and Lucy is supposed to be like Sweet Mayhem since both of them are soldiers.
To clarify: All Universes are at peace yet there's conflicts, Apocalipsystar was rebuilded early since Emmet agreed to teach the Duplos and other species how to construct, Lucy got along with him to protect him, and so they took care of Watevra so she could be a great queen. Emmet is a peaceful ruler.
Rex's existence is caused because in the future timeline, Emmet pretty much fucked up himself and everyone mentally and physically due wars and stuff, Lucy died, and Watevra and his old friends decided to exile him, sending him under the Dry-ar, stopping the war. Rex believes Watevra was planning this from the start, so after changing himself and everything, and earning his own system not so far of Systar, he goes back in time to change everything, being a close friend to both Lucy and Emmet, wanting to protect them from Watevra.
And yeah also RexMetStyle is canon here they got married.

Lego Movie: Taken!

All of Bricksburg was celebrating, they were free. Lord Business had been reformed and now creativity was able to flourish now.
Surely nothing could go wrong, right?
Well things did.....go wrong
Suddenly strange ships came and put strange alien creatures down onto the road in front of our heroes "We are from the Planet Duplo, and we are here to destroy you!"
"Oh man"
The citizens began talking amongst themselves, about the strange beings as Wyldsytle came forward, itching for some action "Well you're going to have to get past us!
Batman got his batrangs out "Specially me!" Unikitty was also ready to fight, getting her angry form out "oh it's on!"
"Yarr!" Metalbeard went forward, smacking poor Vitruvius away possibly to the other side even, the master builders were ready to play rough.
Except for Emmet, who put his arms up to halt the brewing brawl "Woah guys, we don't need to fight anymore! Let me handle this...."
"Emmet, I don't know"
"Trust me"
Brickowski walked slowly toward the aliens, trying not to be threating "Hello Vistors from another world, you are just as special as all of us"
To prove this, the special took red, purple, pink, orange, and yellow bricks and made a giant heart and got close to the aliens to let them get a good look "Friends" He gestured to himself and the others.
This eased the Legos, Emmet turned to look at his friends with a smile, as the middle alien got really close "See? These guys are friendly-"
Without warning, the construction guy, he heart he made, along with part of the road were swallowed whole by the middle Duplo alien causing the easiness turn into rage.
Lucy ran up to monster, in hopes to get it to spit out Emmet but by the time she reached the spot, the alien had been beamed up to the ship
"EMMET!!!
Just like that, everything blurred around Wyldstyle. The builders began fighting the "Invaders", enraged by Emmet's abduction but Lucy just stayed in the spot where Brickowski was stolen.
After the Duplos left, nothing would ever be the same. Especially with Emmet gone.

Honestly at this point I think they're embracing the criticism and are gonna have Mario get dunked on at every possible opportunity. Also King Cranky Kong???

Chris pls I am begging you to stop sounding like you're phoning it in. I know no one was gonna see this movie for you and I know that probably would've been the case regardless of who was voicing Mario because no one engages in this franchise for him anyway but that's not an excuse to sound like you're putting less effort into this than the live-action movie did in making itself a Mario movie.

I SAW THE SUPER MARIO BROS. MOVIE!
I LOVED IT! Holy fuck, was it amazing! And, dare I say it, better than Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. It really was worth waiting for since April of last year, and I'm very thankful to have seen it with my mom.
Being a Nintendo fangirl, I was watching the whole film through. So many references, and holy crap, I LOVE this version of Mario. Chris Pratt is a KING! And also because I get some serious Emmet Brickowski vibes every time that Mario talks.
Okay, not only do I like Movie Mario more than ANY Mario that Nintendo has given us. I also like THIS Luigi and definitely THIS Princess Peach.
Also, Bowser is BETTER Jack Black character than Po from Kung Fu Panda. Like SO MUCH MORE. And he's rad, so shut up. And yes, I BUSTED MY GUT during the "Peaches" scene because... Damn it, who wouldn't?
I won't spoil, but is it bad that I root for Princess Peach? She is much determined than Mario, honestly. The movie has given me even more confidence. And by the way, I thank Mario, Luigi, Donkey Kong and Princess Peach so much for helping me feel this way.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie is a beautiful and wonderful movie. And I'm thankful to have seen it today. Can't wait for the sequel! This is BETTER than Puss in Boots 2.

Rex is a king from other system close to the Systar which Emmet rules. So yes, that makes Lucy a Queen technically.

He's fine with it. No, really, he is! But, something is just nagging him about something he must've forgotten.
Daughter of the savage pirate king, MetalBeard, Lucy's life has been reduced to always being on the seven seas and having limited contact. And yet, she yearns for the love she still remembers, and yet no one else does.
Trying to avoid the same mistakes, Rex allies himself with the man he never thought he would, who was now an evil warlord pirate! He kept Emmet hidden as to not bring back any memories of past events.
Some might say that their fates are connected, and at least 2 of them would love to punch you in the face right now.
