here are some designs for trolls x tlm au! and some info below the cut

batman is a rock troll who turned grey after his parents death. he still plays rock music though only as batman and Bruce Wayne is famous for staying away from singing and any music.

(IMO there can be multiple reasons a troll turns grey and a grey troll can still sing but usually they just lack a desire to. batman's reason for being grey is not related to singing)

emmet and lucy are both pop trolls. but lucy tries her best to hide her pop ties and dyes her hair black. she is not grey but pretends she is and refuses to sing and listen to pop songs especially "everything is awesome"

while emmet is a pop troll he has no idea how to make his own music. as anyone under lord business's rule are not allowed to make their own music

and Watevra is the true queen of the pop trolls. while most pop trolls lived under the rule of lord business she ruled her kingdom far away only returning after his defeat. unfortunately due to miscommunication, this was thought to be an invasion. leading to Watevra's kingdom and the other troll genres to fight. until all of the musical strings were gathered together to finally unite them. emmet and Rex try to prevent this "apopalypse" as they believe Watevra plans to turn everyone into pop trolls. but in reality Rex plans to destroy the strings to get rid of music forever.

An (shitpost) au of Emmet where whenever he sleeps he shifts to another universe of Emmet and just takes control of them for a while, and sometimes he gets controlled too

I'm half awake right now and idk if this idea is good

Also I got a bio/summary for it if it goes to Ao3 ig

Emmet knows the theory that your dreams is just you in another universe is true

How does he know?

Cause they visit him as well

So like sometimes Emmet gets taken control of too, maybe like he's by their side like a ghost or sum when they do it

Maybe like for lucid dreams he can take control, for non lucid dreams (where Emmet is more in control) Emmet just feels like a fog, and the other Emmet thinking I guess.

Imagine like, multiple aus of Emmet's just ghosting behind Emmet, talking to eachother lol, or Emmet getting transported to a edgy universe, imagine while he's in control of an Emmet he gets them killed, oh goodness

Look man

Rex lives but he doesn’t tell anyone and goes and lives in the mountains with a baby raptor

No one recognizes him bc he hasnt really met anyone b4 and he’s unrecognizable as Emmet. He occasionally goes into town for coffee and raw meat for his son King. Otherwise he mainly just orders food in and sits on his porch watching King play in the grass. Doesn’t like visitors at all, and yells at people who walk on his lawn.

TBH he’s probably only friends with the barista at the nearest coffee shop.

I like the idea that he’s a demo man. Like he works in demolition because it’s something he can do, he’s comfortable destroying things for a living. It’s nothing like flying around in a ship being a bounty hunter or the captain of a ship with a raptor crew, but at least he’s living.

King keeps him stable, though he does have off days he’s grateful he’s got his baby boy with him.

Mm! When Emmet finds him first thing he does is drag him out clothes shopping. Which Rex hasn’t done since not dying. (Getting a pair of sweats last moment from the market doesn’t count.)

This is a last minute thought but I think it would be neat if he and Benny kiss. I have no reason to, I just think it’d be neat if he had optimistic spaceship man by his side and they have some nice coffee dates and Rex is like “oh yeah I remember you” and Benny is like “I don’t remember you” and they chat about spaceship building and science stuff. Rex can mention being grounded without a spaceship and Benny can take him out on a lil spaceship ride ya know???? anyways-
