Winter Wonderland | KTH
Pair: Taehyung x F Reader
Summary: This Christmas, Taehyung and you venture back to his hometown, Daegu. Celebrating it with the whole family this time, you hoped to give Taehyung the best Christmas experience in a while. But he had something more special planned. Amidst the soft glow of festive lights and cosy moments, held the core of the magic.
Genre: Fluff, Idolxreader, established relationship au

You were grateful for the silence and peace you were experiencing as you loaded the luggage into the car. Taehyung had come home early a few days ago, running through the house like a kid who got a present, and told you that the both of you would be heading to Daegu to celebrate Christmas this year. Eomma and Appa had constantly been asking to see the both of you but due to Taehyung’s busy schedules, the both of you had kindly declined them for years.
Of course, you could go on your own but the last time that had happened, you got mobbed at the train station which caused Taehyung to pick up a huge fight with the company. He was determined to give you the security that he, the boys, and their partners got but the company was reluctant as you had not been introduced to the public yet.
The next few days that passed, Taehyung was constantly restless and wouldn’t let you out of the house. It took a lot of communication and patience between the both of you to finally get through that patch. Tae had insisted on introducing you to Army through Weverse Live. After that incident and busy schedules, the both of you hadn’t been able to make it to Eomma and Appa’s for Christmas.
This year, Taehyung took some time off work and you… you were currently in the process of opening a business with a close friend of yours. The idea has always sat in the depths of the basket of ideas but due to the high cost of capital, both of you were afraid to take that risk. Now, both of you having a bit higher stability in your financial terms, have finally decided to bite the towel and start.
Settling into the comfy leather of the car seat, you arranged the snack basket and drinks. Just as Taehyung opened the door and stepped in, you were already arranging the blanket you had brought along with you. Your luggage was placed in the boot while the smaller bags were in the back of the car seat. Taehyung and you had gone on a splurge the day after he told you that you were going back home. More like Taehyung. He stocked up multiple types of foods and clothes and every other thing that he wanted to give his parents and siblings.
It was a once-in-a-blue moon that the whole family would be together for a whole week, celebrating. So naturally, Tae had prepared… too many things. But you didn’t have the heart to tell your boyfriend that he was overdoing it. You knew how much he missed his family and you weren’t going to stop him.
On the contrary, you’d help him. Making signature dishes from your home country, you packed them into containers and placed them at the back of the car, ensuring that it was on a safe and stable platform.
“Ready?” Tae buckled in, a hand immediately going into the basket of food you had prepared to dig out something.
Smacking his hand, you handed him a roll of kimbap, saying, “Have this instead.”
Taking it from you, he kissed your forehead and drove off, wheels screeching against the coating of the road.
Tumblr media
Most of the road trip was filled with music softly playing in the background and munching. Tae was always hungry and you had finally managed to pack his favourite snacks, he was beyond overjoyed at eating them. Taehyung looked over to you, smiling as he found you curled up on the passenger seat.
Brows furrowing at the uncomfortable position, Taehyung leaned over to carefully recline the seat, one hand on the steering wheel. You fumbled and whined at the movement and Tae was quick to quiet you down, pulling the blanket higher to your neck. Your hair splayed across the seat and your lips were open, emitting a soft snore. Taehyung lowered further the volume of the music, hand coming to your hair and pushing a few stray strands out of your face.
He was playful once.
And it isn’t that he is no longer playful. No, Taehyung was still a menace in the house, whining and complaining for your attention - that much he knew. But he felt like he needed it. He felt like he needed to know where you were at, what you were doing, how you were doing. He wanted your attention - craved for it. But he also knew that you liked your space and own time. So he holds it in until every few hours when he would just randomly send you a selfie or update you on how practise is going.
You never take long to answer his text messages. You were quick to update him on how work was going as well. However, with you starting a business that was long planned with your friend, you weren’t home as often and when you were, you were always exhausted. It took to a level that Taehyung was worried for your health and mental well-being. He knew how important it was to you but he didn’t want you to overwork yourself.
So he asked - more like forced - the management to let him off for the whole week of Christmas. Then, when Eomma and Appa called to ask if you were coming for Christmas this year, Taehyung felt like he hit the jackpot.
You had never really explored Daegu before and he had always planned to take you there one day so that you could see where he grew up. He would show you all the beautiful places and delicious food, all the playgrounds and parks, schools and roads. He would show you his safest and most secretive places. So, he told Eomma that the both of you would be there a day in advance to help them prepare for the feast the next day.
Taehyung couldn’t help feeling excited.
As you mumbled in your sleep, he felt his lips tilt up into a soft smile. The roads were fairly empty this early in the morning so he placed a hand on your thigh and continued.
Tumblr media
The snowfall of the season was always a magical experience and it felt like the whole world had been transformed. Coming from a country with only one season, you were always beyond ecstatic to see snow. It never fails to amaze you with the chilliness and familiarity you feel. As you and Taehyung walk through the streets of Daegu, you observe the lights adorning the city. They seem to twinkle more at a certain angle but that could just very possibly be from your own excitement.
Having never explored Daegu well enough, you took every bit of this opportunity to absorb everything you see and hear. The last time you made this trip, you were alone and afraid. But this time, you were with your beloved, and you are determined to make this holiday a memorable one.
The both of you needed a break and this was just it - with all the festive feels and sparkling lights.
Going home with the groceries that the both of you freshly bought from the market, the both of you drove home. Eomma and Appa were up and bickering together with Taehyung’s siblings groggily drinking coffee and making kimchi. Most ingredients were already ready the night before.
“We’re home!” Taehyung yelled.
“Ah - In the kitchen!”
When you stepped in, you were bombarded with warmth.
Not a physical sense of warmth like a hug but rather, a growing feeling in your chest - similar to one where you would enjoy cuddling time with Tae on the couch. A sense of familial warmth. You must have stopped long enough that Taehyung put the groceries on the table and walked back to you. His eyes worried over your frame and his brows bunched up.
“Hey… You okay?” Tae gently took the bags from your hands, placing them on the table next to his. Following his movements, you stood beside him and wrapped your arms around his waist, snuggling face-first into his chest.
Tae’s hand came up to stroke your hair as you hugged him tighter.
“Need a break? We can skip kimchi making if you don’t feel well. I’m sure Eomma will understand.”
You shook your head. You wanted to have this experience with them. Eomma and Appa were kind enough to let you in on the family tradition and you weren’t going to spoil it.
“I’m okay, just… happy.”
Taehyung’s eyes drifted over your frame as he tried to explicitly find out what was wrong. But there was no lie in that sentence. You hadn’t felt this way in a long time and a nolgastic feeling just overcame you at that moment.
“It’s been a while since I’ve felt like this.” You tip-toed, bringing your hand up to ruffle his hair. “I’m okay. Promise.”
Taehyung was sceptical about your reasoning - you could see that. But you most certainly not going to let the feeling wash over you and ruin your day. It was barely nine in the morning and you were going to make this the best Christmas for Tae as possible.
Picking up a pair of gloves, you wore two layers and squatted down, starting to learn from Eomma how to make the perfect kimchi. In each city and each family, they all have what they depict as the perfect kimchi just like how different families have different perceptions of how perfect rice is cooked.
Tumblr media
As the sun began to set, the both of you stood on the balcony, staring out into the first snowfall. You watched as the snowflakes fell gently to the ground. Taehyung wrapped his arms around you and you leaned into his warm embrace. Passing you a cup of hot chocolate, you gratefully took it from his hands and blew.
“It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” Tae whispered, his breath tickling the edge of your ear.
You nodded. “Perfect, just like you.”
Taehyung chuckled and pressed a soft kiss to your cheek. “Perfect, you say? I got something that might top this.”
“Oh yeah?” With your curiosity piqued you followed him into the living room.
You stepped back into the living room, seeing the beautifully decorated Christmas tree that stood proud at the edge, its ornaments glimmered with the holiday magic. The little bells rang as you glided your hand through the figs of the tree. The scent of cinnamon and chocolate filled the air as you saw the spread of cookies and drinks on the coffee table.
“Taehyung! It’s amazing!” You exclaimed, completely taking in the holiday atmosphere he had created.
His eyes sparkled under the dim glow of the shining star that was placed on top of the Christmas tree. “I thought we could have a little celebration tonight - just the both of us.”
“How about Eomma and Appa? And your siblings?” Growing up, your family never really celebrated Christmas but whenever you see families celebrating, they are joyful - together.
That was the key. It was a time when everybody partied and celebrated togetherness.
“They went out for some drinks. I told them I got something planned for the both of us.”
“But -”
Taehyung pulled on your arm. “Come on, Jagiya. It’s the twenty-fourth not the twenty-fifth. We’ll be spending all the time together tomorrow!”
You huffed. You wanted to celebrate it well this year after not being together for so long. Especially for Taehyung.
But he had a point. The both of you have the whole week to bond. So you sighed and caved in, climbing onto the sofa and cuddling with your bear. From little treats to shoving food competitively down your throats, to laughter and warm embraces, your evening was filled with the glow of the holiday.
The evening quickly turned to night, and with the snow, the darkness embraced you earlier. The both of you panted against the couch, tired from all the chasing you did around the house. The both of you had much to clean - you, for one, didn’t like to leave food out overnight and have the family come back to a messy house.
As the clock struck midnight, you had just finished cleaning the last of the bits and arranging the tables and chairs.
“Jagiya.” You heard Tae call you from the windows. “Come here.”
Turning around, you left the cloth on the glass top, walking over to your bear with outstretched arms. When the both of you touched, you instantly hugged him, hands dragging under his clothes, seeking his warmth.
Taehyung hissed at the coolness of your fingertips but didn’t pull away. Oh, he was soaking in your attention. The past few hours felt like heaven. He didn’t have much time to spend with you due to the nature of both your works. Sometimes when he was home, you weren’t; when he was asleep you were out doing your job. However, on certain occasions when the both of you are home, all the both of you think is ‘the bed’.
So today, the time you spent together made him feel alive again. Alive - in so many different ways. But Taehyung did not prepare this feast without another purpose. Primarily, he had hoped that you would let go and laugh again - play again.
To be a kid again.
To show you the love he has for you.
But at the same time, he had done this… so that he, could do this.
Leading you to the window the both of you looked out, seeing the snow creating a serene blanket of white. It had covered the majority of the roads and you knew that by the time daytime come, it would probably be deep enough to make snow angels.
“Make a wish on the first star you see,” Taehyung said, pointing to a bright star in the night sky.
You closed your eyes and made your wish. Finishing, you turned back to Taehyung and found him holding a small velvet box.
No. Way.
“Before we exchange gifts, there is something I need to ask you. I promise this isn’t the only gift I got you.” Taehyung laughed, eyes nervously skimming everywhere. Taking a deep breath, he looked at you, eyes filled with love and anticipation. Dropping on one knee, Taehyung opened the box and held it out to you.
Your heart pounded in your chest and you could barely contain your excitement. Sitting gently in the middle of the box was a delicate, sparkling ring.
“You’ve been through thick and thin with me - helped me. You had made me a better person than who I was. You taught me so many things and -” Taehyung rubbed his face with one hand. He sighed. “I’m not good with sticking to the script so, just - Y/N, will you marry me?”
Time felt like it stood still after Taehyung proposed to you. It was probably just a few seconds but -
It felt like your memories were flowing past you like a movie.
The first time you met, the first awkward date, the first kiss, first - everything…? You had so many things you wanted to tell him - so many ‘I love you’s to say.
Tears welled up in your eyes and you nodded vigorously. “Yes. Yes, yes, yes - Taehyung, oh my gosh, yes!”
The boxy smile that formed on his face felt brighter than the shine of the star on top of the Christmas tree. He slipped the ring onto your finger, sealing your engagement with a tender kiss.
You had hoped to plan the best Christmas for Taehyung but he most certainly, outdid you. And this magic was one that neither of you would ever forget.
Tumblr media
You awoke to the smell of delicious breakfast wafting through the open door. You wrapped yourself in the warm blanket - your only form of warmth right now - and made your way down, following your nose to the source of the mouthwatering scent.
Taehyung was standing at the island, expertly cutting a range of fruits while his brother flipped pancakes. The moment he heard you come in, he turned to you and grinned. “Good morning, fiancèe.”
You couldn’t help but blush at the term. It was something new and exciting. “Good morning husband-to-be.”
“Fiancée? Husband-to-be?” Jeon-Gyu pondered, turning to Taehyung. “So this was your plan last night, hyung?”
Jeon-Gyu carried an offending look on his face. “Hyung!”
Taeyhyung just ignored him and hugged you from the back. “There’s nothing wrong with needing you all out of the house when I proposed. It is a time for Y/N and I.”
“But hyung -”
“Plus,” Taehyung cut in. “I believe none of you would like to have heard what went down too.”
The silence was deafening. You stood rigid against Taehyung, cheeks flaring up.
“No - no, we most certainly wouldn’t.”
Taehyung whipped around.
Eomma, Appa, and Eun Jun stood at the threshold of the door to the kitchen. Eun Jun looked smug as if she knew what was coming while Eomma and Appa looked flustered, walking in on a situation.
Taehyung groaned in embarrassment against your shoulder as your cheeks burned an even deeper shade of red.

The way you talked about mar’i, can you talk about the twins from omega squad?
Absolutely I can!
First, foremost, and most importantly—They might be twins, but they ain’t the same person. That’s the number one lesson their parents taught them and people around them
They are rainbow babies, Linda had two miscarriages before them. She and Wally always say “You each came down alone, then went back for the other.”
Irey was always the bigger twin….until puberty made her brother 6’2 and kept her at 5’4
Milagro was doing a fashion shoot for a styling class and needed some models for her “Noir” shoot. Jai and Irey were more than happy to help.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not show are Lian and Damian choking on their lunch when the twins walked in after the shoot
I fully believe that Omega has needed a distraction or diversion for a mission, and the twins just started FIGHTING. In that way only siblings can, y’know?
Both deal with eating disorders—Irey from an abusive ex, Jai from his depression—but that’s what Lian and Mar’i are there for. Lian will refuse to eat until Jai does, and Mar’i offers some of her favorite snacks to Irey.
On really bad days of his depression, ireys made him look at her and said “You’re not leaving me here alone.”
Are they both the “sunshine’s” in their relationships? Absolutely. But make no mistake. They are the scary ones of the relationships.
90% of the time, they are definitely their father’s children, goofy, a love of learning, clumsy. But make no mistake, that other 10%, they are their mother’s son and daughter. They have torn egotistical heroes and Villians down with words alone. Their dad might be the Flash, but their mother is THE Linda Park and you will put respect in the name
Essentially, they are truly—Fuck around, find out.
They’re also super fucking loyal. Like someone called Mar’i “r*tared” once. When they could hear. Irey had them against the wall, her forearm against their throat, while Jai threatened them
On the flip side, they are super proud of their Korean Heritage. They both chose to learn the language as part of the “multilingual” aspect of their hero training (and even before). They blast K-pop and k-rock. They have recreated K-Drama scenes for fun, to the amusement of their teammates. They both get Hanboks to wear when they decide to go to Korea for a weekend trip. They cook as many meals as their mom remembers growing up with. They always keep Kimchi and gochujang in the Omega fridge, as well as all the things to make Kimbap, a comfort snack for bad days
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jai loves the hat, thank you very much
They look up to Donny and Dawn more than can be put into words. Like they’re second cousins once removed, but if you ask them, that’s their big brother and sister. They love how happy Mel makes Donny and just want the best for both them
Irey points out she’s only kissed one person on the team, which Jai says “It was a mission, but colin is a great kisser!”
Irey’s straight, but Jai is like….on super thin ice sometimes
The lab at the tower might be a public space, but that’s their lab. They know the policy. But that’s just the facts
They both learned how to use their partners weapons. Irey actually managed to use a fight against one of the Alpha guys during a sparring match. Jai was laughing so hard he was on the ground
Asha, Irey and Damian’s daughter, adores her “Unca Jai-Jai”
They like to go to science expos and comic cons together
Irey is a biter when it comes to fist fights and Jai swears he has scars.
They both cried for days when Jay and Joan Garret died
Linda died two weeks after Luke, Jai and Lian’s son, was born. She’d been diagnosed with late stage lung cancer after Lian found out she was pregnant. She decided against treatment and spent that last year making as many memories with her children and grandchildren as she could.
Jai and Irey were with Omega when they got the news. They both fell to their knees and were sobbing and screaming for her.
They do think they would have made it through that time without their friends, especially Mar’i and Lian.

I'm so angry at today's episode in terms of what's happening with Youngwoo and Junho. On one note, I'm really happy that this show has saved me a headache by not including a serious 2nd lead character and love triangle (I don't count Suyeon) and that this isn't a slow burn (at least not in the ways that make it seem bothersome) and this is a really healthy pairing. BUT. That means that the problems in their love plot have to come from other people interfering. Which objectively speaking, I think is better writing, but it's more infuriating because other people causing problems in someone else's life is just the most upsetting thing. Throughout this entire episode, you can so clearly see how much Junho and Youngwoo care about each other and how badly they want their relationship to work out. They've spent enough time together to the extent where Youngwoo literally QUIZZES Junho on identifying whales and he's actually doing a good job as if he studied for it!! When Youngwoo gets overwhelmed on the plane, Junho immediately knows to ask her if she wants her headphones and where to retrieve them from when she does need them. And he wanted to introduce her to his sister and brother in law, and Youngwoo probably wanted to try to see dolphins/whales for a longer period of time than they did, but she knew Junho taking her to meet his family was important to him. And despite it being important to him, above all, he wants her to be comfortable, so inquired after what his sister would be serving them, and when he found that there was a lack on kimbap, assured her that they didn't have to eat with them.
But Youngwoo insisted that she would, 1) to make a good impression on Junho's family, and again, 2) she knows that this meeting is important to Junho and doesn't want to be rude by not eating the food prepared. She admits that she doesn't like that she has to eat food that isn't to her liking, but she wants to do it anyway. The two of them again and again make so many conscious efforts to accommodate and compromise with each other and though there are challenges, the show always prioritizes showing us the highlights over the difficulties. Despite the challenges, the writers never make the viewers feel as though Junho and Youngwoo's relationship is shaky. They always portray that yes, they face challenges, but it's okay because they're trying to overcome them and they're happy together and that's what matters most. But during that luncheon with Junho's sister and her husband (and in the imminent aftermath) we see that change drastically for the first time. It doesn't matter that Youngwoo tried her best and that Junho isn't ashamed to be with Youngwoo and doesn't see her having autism as a flaw and that the two of them are happy together. His sister and brother in law were clearly put off by her behavior and is ashamed for Junho and she refuses to understand that Junho is dating Youngwoo with the intention of their relationship being long-term, therefore not only is it silly and wrong, but also illogical for him to simply "not tell his parents" about them dating. Also the audacity and stupidity of his sister??? It's one thing to talk badly about someone behind their back, but to do it knowing that person is still in the vicinity and could potentially hear you?? Especially when the place of that vicinity is your home which you've invited that person into?? Especially when that person is your sibling's significant other??? In the teaser for the next episode, it's heavily implied that Youngwoo and Junho "break up" which breaks my heart but I can't even begin to blame Youngwoo for doing it. She already deals with discrimination and ableism on her own, but now she's experiencing it simply for being with someone. She's been insulted and demeaned by Junho's friends, basically labeled as a pity project; dismissed as a potential love interest for Junho completely by his lovely roommate Minwoo (don't even need to mention his other horrific acts); and now she's been infantilized and shamed by his sister. You can't blame Youngwoo for breaking up with Junho simply because of the way she's been treated, but given how they've set up her character, how the writers have shown how Youngwoo often feels bad thinking that other people are disadvantaged because they're on her side, I don't think that she's doing this 100% for her sake. In each of these scenarios, yes, Youngwoo is clearly the one getting the figurative pain in these punches, but from the aggressors' perspective, their thinking is that Youngwoo is the problem and Junho is the one who will suffer. This of course is bs, but I feel like a part of Youngwoo knows that these ableists think this way and she wants to save Junho from that. Because every time, Junho is so quick to defend Youngwoo, their relationship, and his intentions. And yet, people's minds won't change. UGHH. This was so much longer a post than I thought it was going to be. Just so upset. Like if it's not your relationship and other people aren't badly affected by it and the people are happy, stay out of it.

┊ ˚➶ 。˚ today's menu: mom's special kimbap .ᐟ word count: 349
chuseok had always ranked high among chaekyung's favorite holidays, right after christmas. besides the joy of reconnecting with relatives, it was a rare time when she could forget about dieting and savor her beloved foods, especially her mom's special kimbap ㅡ a dish that only made an appearance during the festival. the girl often found herself indulging in over ten slices at a time without hesitation and this year was no exception. in her defense, she was still growing and the intense daily practices burned calories by the bucketload so a feast for a day seemed perfectly justified.
with her target locked, chaekyung had been eyeing the piece of kimbap on her sister's plate for a while. to her knowledge, the older sibling had been on a dieting regimen so swiping a piece surely wouldn't hurt, right? thus, when her sister looked away for a brief moment, the youngest park swiftly poked her chopsticks into the kimbap roll, only to be caught red-handed. "don't touch my kimbap!" her sister hissed. with no other option, chaekyung had to withdraw her chopsticks, sporting a pout on her lips. "if you want to gain weight, be my guest. i'm just helping you with your diet. you should've thanked me instead," chaekyung muttered under her breath before defiantly grabbing a piece of cucumber and chewing it with a loud crunch.
this marked chaekyung's third chuseok celebration as a trainee. a few years ago, she hadn't fully grasped the significance of the festival and had taken small family gatherings for granted. after being separated from everyone, it felt heartwarming to reunite with familiar faces. as she listened to one of her uncle's jokes, she noticed something swooping toward her plate. she was too late to react. before she could make a move, one of her kimbap slices was snatched by none other than her sister. "hey! that's unfair! give it back to me!" chaekyung exclaimed while making an attempt to grab her sister's hair in retaliation. "mom! unnie stole my kimbap!"
and so, another well-spent day at the park residence came to a close.

1.) What did you do last Friday night? Do you have any plans for the upcoming Friday night? Watched a few news features on the Titanic wreck submarine; played Rhythm Hive because apparently the game went through a major overhaul and looks and plays completely differently now; and spent nearly the entire rest of the evening watching both old and new Smosh videos because Anthony coming back is the best news that could’ve come out this week. 2.) When does spring break start for you? We don’t have that concept here as we don’t even have that season here.
3.) Do you have anything planned for June so far? The eventful part of my June is over now; I’ve seen Yoongi, been to Thailand, been to Malaysia, walked 15,000 steps for two weeks straight...the only thing left to do is to reclaim my time at home and rest up.
4.) What is the weather like right now? It’s a little warm this morning but I’m not dying. One thing I picked up from my Thailand trip is to never fucking complain about Philippine weather ever again LOL – I thought it was humid enough here, but the moment I stepped out of Bangkok’s airport I was slapped in the face with air that was like, twice, thrice as heavy. The daily weather made the Philippines suddenly feel like Antarctica.
5.) What song are you listening to? I’m not listening to music and rarely do so when I take surveys because I end up getting distracted and never finishing any of these.
6.) Name all the people that you talked to today. Online, through texts and in person. Mom, dad, sister, the Grab rider who did my McDo delivery at around 1 AM earlier. Oh I also talked to a work-related person this morning, but fortunately I’m not leading the event so I just went on Viber to answer a question she had.
7.) Do you know anyone who self-harms? I really hope I don’t; but at this stage in mine and my loved ones’ lives it’s great to see everyone flourishing and happy and as far as I know, the people that I know who used to do it don’t anymore.
8.) If you have a science class, who did you last talk to in that class? I haven’t been in a classroom since pre-pandemic 2020.
9.) What did you eat for lunch today? I’m having leftover kimbap from two weeks ago! I was struggling to find food in the fridge so I opened every single Tupperware we had in there only to find out that nobody has touched the kimbap I got :)))) Feeling pretty giddy ngl, it’s my favorite Korean food hehe.
10.) If you were president, which one would you legalise first: abortion, gay marriage or marijuana? Not in the choices, but divorce. Then abortion, then gay marriage, then I don’t really care for marijuana.
11.) What are your parents’ names and what do they do for a living? My mom’s an admin secretary in a hotel and my dad’s an executive sous chef.
12.) Do you have any siblings? What are their names, age and grade they are in? Don’t you think you’re being a little too nosy? Anyway, one is 23 and is already working; the other is 20 and a freshman in college.
13.) Do you know a schizophrenic person? I don’t.
14.) Do you have a threewords.me account? I don’t think I’ve ever heard of that.
15.) Who were you last in a car with and where did you go? That was with Celeste and I was just taking her home because no driver was accepting her Grab booking.
16.) Aren’t you excited for the 4th season of Jersey Shore?! I was never an avid watcher. I watched a few episodes of the first season but I was 11 and immediately knew I wasn’t supposed to be watching something like it, lol.
17.) Did you ever watch Sailor Moon? If so, who is your favourite? No I don’t like anime.
18.) Have you seen the game show “Baggage”? Nope, haven’t heard of it.
19.) Name the last 3 people you kissed and list one nice thing about each one. I’ve only kissed one person but as for a nice thing about her, uh... she’s nice to her sisters? Idk.
20.) Have you ever had cranberry vodka? No. Sounds nasty.
21.) When was the last time you felt EXTREMELY depressed? Why is that? I go through low periods quite regularly, but if you wanna go with EXTREME depression then I’d have to take you back to late 2020 to early 2021. They were terrible days but I do fondly look back on that period as the moments before BTS dragged and hurled me into their world.
22.) Don’t you just want to move out of your parents’ home already? It’d be cool if I do but I’m not in a rush. The average pay here makes it impossible to have your own place in your 20s to early 30s anyway.
23.) Are you friends with a Conner? No, that’s an extremely foreign-sounding name where I’m from. The only Conners you’ll ever find here would be tourists.
24.) Would you ever dye your hair pink? Nah.
25.) Who was the last person to kiss your forehead? No clue.

So! As Isaid I am OBSESSED with your idea, and I was wondering. What if the reader was taking care of them? Like yk, really good a cooking, checking up on them, etc. Like how would they react? If its not too much, which it probably is, it would be nice with everyone :) but if it is, which it probably is, just Yoru, Sage, Fade, Jett and Sova.
(Also please dont make it too romantic, just kinda like nice siblings :))
Sorry if its too long lol 💀
My very first request?! What a joy!
Comfort
Yoru
When y/n found out that his diet consisted of instant spicy ramen and energy drinks, they immediately hopped on the net searching for some recipe ideas.
So right when he enjoyed his usual meal, they quickly swapped his meal with their home cooked meal.
He was about to get angry until he noticed some piles of pots and pans on the kitchen sink (so you did make this yourself) , he decide to calmed down and grabbed the spoon to take a few bites.
His stoic expression doesn’t tell much but (y/n) was anxious for a feedback.
“So, how is it?”
“It’s good. You can have my ramen”
As you took a bite of the ramen that he made, you immediately went on a coughing fit. Turns out he put more chillies in his ramen. He had a good laugh for a few minutes before handing (y/n) some water.
Jett
Found herself bored all day, no work. Just stay in HQ all day. As she laying on the couch, y/n while take their apron off asks.
“What’s up with you, Jett?”
“Just bored, nothing else to do y’know. Ugh…..”
“I know something that could cheer you up”
“What?”
(y/n) head back to the kitchen and bring a plate of fresh hand rolled kimbap for her. Jett was surprised, she didn’t know that (y/n) could make some Korean food.
"It's not much, but i hope you like it" then (y/n) handed her a pair of chopsticks. When she tasted the kimbap, she quickly pulled (y/n) for a hug.
"It's fucking good, i want more!"
"I put the rest of them on a fridge and there’s kimchi as well"
“THERE’S KIMCHI TOO?!?!!??”
She thanked the universe for letting her not to work on that day.
Fade
Prowler is a manifestation from her own mind and not a lot of people greeted her other than to talk about work. It was no brainer that she needs a company.
So game night it is!
Or manicure
Or watching some movies while bundled up in a blankets
Or making a henna designs for (y/n)'s hands.
Basically every night is a fun night for these two
At first, she was very skeptical with (y/n)’s sudden attention and only to find out that one of their nightmares was seeing fade as a mere tool. To witness it first hand really made her realize that (y/n) genuinely cares about her.
So there are times that Fade would give her own ideas as well. It would be no surprise to see (y/n) and her playing a lot of card games or teaching (y/n) how to make people lose their composure in poker games.
On the good side, you have a coffee buddy every morning.
Sova
Sometimes he really missed having dinner with his family and some light conversations instead of having his casual dinner in solitude.
But right after he got back from practice, he heard some noise in the kitchen. He saw everyone were hand in hand helping (y/n) with dinner.
“Can somebody pass the salt?”
“Got you, Y/n”
“Brim, We need more bowls”
“Do we have enough utensils for this?”
“Is it too much seasoning?”
“It’s pretty balanced to me”
“Where’s the bread? You said it’s in the oven”
“Um…..I'm scraping the burnt parts on the bread?”
“What’s the perfect wine to pair with the food? Red or white?”
“Red and Get out of the kitchen, Chamber!”
When Sova asked what’s going, Sage while untying her apron she explained when (y/n) was trying some recipe but turns out the recipe is for 20 people. So Brim decided to hold a dinner party. Forced everyone to help (y/n) or no bonus pay. Sova was delighted and chimed in to help out as well.
After a few minutes of chaos, all of them finally sat down including (y/n). Brim thanked everyoe for making this happen and enjoyed the feast. Everyone really enjoyed the food that (y/n) made including Sova. To enjoy this warm atmosphere once again, was something he held dear to his heart and he really thanked (y/n) for this to happen.
Even someone warned (y/n) to be more careful next time which they replied "At least there's enough for everyone right?" Which made everyone laugh in glee. That night was beautiful.

Let me tell you the story of one of our unfortunate residents who seems to be a HIGH SCHOOL LITERATURE TEACHER on the island. Fate has assigned this individual guidance from THE STAR REVERSED card. But they needn’t worry, their secrets are safe with me.
DOB: november 17th, 1994 DEFINING TRAITS: creative, dependable, considerate, self-sacrificing, morose, scatterbrained. RESEMBLES: actress son naeun
YOU ARE PRESENTED WITH A PRISTINE DECK OF TAROT CARDS. TAKE YOUR PICK.
eunah sucks in a slow breath and then releases it, opening her eyes and balling her hands in fists where they rest against her thighs. the scent of salty air, the way the trees cast dancing shadows over the cream-colored walls around her, the cold feeling of old tile pressed against her legs - she knows exactly where she is.
more importantly, she knows exactly who she's with.
her aunt sits before her, her gentle eyes trained on her as eunah immediately has to fight back a painful stab of grief that momentarily overwhelms her. she'd missed her so much that just looking into her eyes is enough to bring her to tears.
her aunt doesn't say a word, but once eunah collects herself she looks down at the table between them and sees a familiar deck of tarot cards spread out, face down. how many readings had her aunt done for her with those cards, how many nights had she spent teaching eunah the unique symbolism and meaning of each one? back then, she had felt like she had her whole life ahead. she'd felt like she could fly. the feeling of joy and support she'd had leading up to her aunt's death still haunt her, almost as much as the ghost of what her life could have been.
and now here she sits, that potential squandered, completely, and utterly, stuck.
eunah reaches out her hand, letting the powers that be guide it until it's hovering over one at the far left end of the spread. she hesitates for a brief second before giving it a gentle tap and returning her hand to her lap. her aunt lets out a completely noiseless sigh, as if saddened by the choice, and then she flips the card over.
the star reversed.
eunah can't help the sudden laugh that bubbles up and out of her, shifting so she can draw her knees up against her chest, resting her chin on top of them.
"well," she says, voice wavering, breaking the thick silence that had sat in the room up to that point. "i guess that makes sense. i don't know what i'm doing anymore. i don't get the point. i'm not even sure how to step out of this hole and i know, i know, it's a me thing. it's me. it's only me. but no matter what i do it's like... everything i used to be is just gone."
her aunt gives her a heartbroken grin and she reaches her hands out so they rest against the table, palms up. eunah leans forward so she can rest her own hands against hers. they hold each other for a moment, just gazing at each other as tears finally sneak down eunah's face.
"what do i do?" she whispers, voice cracking.
but her aunt is gone then. the room slowly slips away from her consciousness as the dream fades back into blackness, her question left unanswered.
THE CARD FLUTTERS TO YOUR FEET. WHO WERE YOU BEFORE THIS STORY BEGAN?
shin eunah's mother was the kind of person that was never meant to be one. but accidents happen (in shin minji's case, they happen twice). eunah's earliest memories are of long, dark nights left alone and meals of instant noodles and convenience store kimbap.
eunah was five years old, her little sibling just born, when their mother abandoned them altogether. and that's shin minah stepped in. eunah's aunt collected the kids and brought them home and never for a second after that did either of them feel like they were unwanted or an inconvenience. evenings locked in their room turned into tea parties at dusk and shell collecting before bed. things were good.
shin minah was the kind of person who seemed to float through life. there was no lack of joy and love to be found when you were with her.
the freedom and imagination of youth gave way for a rebellious streak when eunah became a teenager. rather than wanting to help her aunt out at their little family-owned tea shop like she used to, she instead wanted to spend her evenings after school hanging out with friends, partying, and generally doing things and being places she wasn't supposed to. her sweet aunt, who'd been nothing but kind and attentive towards her, dealt with long nights wondering where her niece had wandered off to and if she was okay.
but her aunt wasn't on eunah's mind at that point in her life. she was getting attention. friends, teachers, enemies, romantic interests - both good and bad, she lavished in eyes being on her.
the games were all well and good until they weren't. her plans to take some time off between high school and college went down the gutter when she returned home late one night to find her aunt passed out in the kitchen. a short stay in the hospital, a late stage cancer diagnosis, and within three months shin minah had passed.
eunah was nineteen at the time, she had a little sister to care for, and she felt like her world had been flipped upside down, her foundation ripped out from beneath her feet. she landed on a path forward somehow. college. internship. teaching position at the high school she, herself had attended.
the people around her welcomed her muted, dulled self with open arms. only scraps of her youth seemed to remain - an old, beaten down leather jacket, a pack of cigarettes always in her pocket, gin and tonics every friday night. but shin eunah's life was, without question, gray. and she was completely, helplessly, utterly, stuck.

The walls of the office felt damp and the air hung heavy with a chill only fall in New York City could bring. How she’d missed the warmth that used to cling to the streets of Incheon just before the first breath of autumn. At least there, there was a transitional period between seasons. New York seemed to burn hot one day and freeze one to the core the next. Leaning into her desk, Soo-min briefly peered out of the grand window that stared into the unforgiving brick involved in shadow. Her office was smack dab in the middle of the high rise; the only view she had was the tightly closed blinds and brick.
Drip.
     Drip.
            Drip.
Soo-min’s jaw tensed at the subtle assault that warped into the comforting hum from the powder pink  mini space heater that lived on the corner of her desk. She gingerly nudged the well worn mug farther from the affidavit she was preparing to collect the water that trickled from above her. For a luxury firm, they always seemed to forget about the persistent fissure in one of the ceiling tiles that leaked with the slightest trickle of rain. Likely, no one else had to endure the mental water boarding because the sky opened up with fury just after 6PM. Upon her arrival, she was met with the eerie silence of a job well done. Each desk vacant aside from the presence of the person who occupied it last. If you’re asking yourself, why was she here on her own well past business hours. One finely aged roll of kimbap during lunch and a lap around the gym left Seung-ah and Sang-cheol writhing in pain in the nurses’s office. She’d all but abandoned the mount of paperwork on her desk to tend to her siblings. By the time she’d smothered out the fury of her boss and settled the upset tummies, Soo-min sprinted up an avenue uptown after missing the last express train. Despite her grand adventure, she was still grateful to make up for the time she’d lost. It was a courtesy not many people were offered.
Tumblr media
Her heels were tucked neatly beneath her desk, the slippers she’d wedged into her purse hanging over her feet as she highlighted the important details from her notes to prepare this document for the lead lawyer, Henry Park. The aloof but brilliant lawyer who brought the most success to the office. Soo-min didn’t know why he made her so angry. Was it the ease at which he walked through the office or because no one challenged his worth when he opened his month. It had been a constant struggle asserting her worth in a sea filled of people who couldn’t see past her immigration status. She turned the page with haste; the deadly edge of the file slice into the tip of her forefinger.
“젠장” shit. Soo-min popped her finger into her mouth to suck on the soft bead of blood that slipped through the new seam of her finger. She groaned as the frustration boiled up in her tiny frame.

SIDE EVENT 018 • CHUSEOK SOLO
max was lost in his own thoughts as he reaches for some kimbap, promptly getting his fingers hit by his grandmother, successfully tugging him out of his drowsiness. with wide eyes he looks back at the woman, laughter around him from his whole family making a dazed smile appear on his lips.
he takes a minute to look through all the faces at the table, having his loved ones with him. tentatively he reaches for wook's hand under the table, seeking comfort in his presence when the closer he gets to the end of the trimester, the more he wants to throw up and just finally find out if he was truly going to debut or not.
his grandmother told him on three separate occasions that he looks awfully pale, soyoun tossing him a concerned glance but all max can do is force a smile and reassure them he's fine. his tongue tied, twisted to stop himself from spilling what he isn't supposed to say, he remains unusually quiet and tries to eat just a bit more if only to keep his mouth busy so he wouldn't have to answer questions.
chuseok was usually always a time for him to lean back and relax but this year he feels so utterly wired and on edge, he can't get himself to fully enjoy being away from the company. he wants to go back, wants to practice more- he wants to make sure this time he's good enough for real and that he would do well as a member of agito, even if it still sat heavy on his chest that he felt like he was replacing his own boyfriend.
for now all he can do is hold onto wookjin's hand and try and laugh at his half siblings bickering while leaning into his boyfriend. he just hopes he'll be able to tell them good news soon.

My Father is Strange (2017)
Tumblr media
My Father is Strange (Kdrama)
This is a family drama all about Byeon Han Soo and his family. He's a simple man who runs a kimbap restaurant and just loves feeding his four children and beloved wife. Then,Actor Ahn Joong Hee shows up and claims that Han Soo is his father. How will the family deal with it?
9/10
I absolutely loved this drama. The main characters are wonderful. I cried so many times in these 52 episodes. The family felt very real with each of the four siblings have their own personalities and problems. The two middle children are the main sibling characters and they gave me just enough of the other siblings that I didn't really get tired of them. The building landlady was the most difficult storyline for me to get through. I did fast forward through a few scenes with her as she was like nails on a chalkboard at certain points. Overall though, this is one that will stick with me as I absolutely adore the familial relationships and the exploration of family.

Seokjin rubbed his eyes groaning softly as you pulled away from him. “Mmm you better, your lucky your cute” he said as kissed you back. He chuckled and rose from the bed putting on his slippers that were sat next to his night stand as he headed for the front door. Last night while you both had slept. He would wake up at random times feeling you squeeze around him in your sleep. He couldn’t lie but he had woke up rather hoping that you two could have a round before seiya came home. He eventually reached the door and unlocked it seiya practically jumping into his arms. He wasn’t gonna lie he missed him, Kissing the young boys cheek he smiled softly. “Did you have fun with auntie misa and uncle yoongi then?” He asked as he walked inside inviting both of them in. “Remind me to give you guys a key …. That way you can come and go as you please.” He said with a smile wanting them to know how much you both appreciated it. “Thanks again guys , do you want to stay for breakfast ? I can cook something up for us?” He asked as he let seiya down. - Seokjin rose anon 🌹
•━»•»🌸«•«━━━━━━━━•••
I smiled as I watched Seokjin go, rubbing my lower belly, feeling a sweet aching between my legs. Stretching with a little yawn, I followed him out, my heart just about bursting when I saw Seiya in Seokjin's arms. I could never get enough of seeing Seiya finally with his father. "Hee hee, Auntie and Uncle said Seiya's the best!" Seiya chirped. I kneeled down to hug him when Seokjin set him down. "Seiya still missed Mama and Papa," he whispered. "We missed you too, baby," I cooed, pecking his lips. "Should we? I was thinking of having my Yoongs all to myself today, starting with him cooking for me," Misa teased. "In that case, why don't Jin-hyung and I both cook?" Yoongi suggested. "Seiya wants kimbap and bulgogi kimbap, please," Seiya asked, folding his hands in a cute pleading gesture. "Good thing Uncle volunteered to help," I chuckled, holding Seiya's hand as we walked to the kitchen, with him reaching out with his other hand to Seokjin. "Mama, Papa--is Seiya going to have a baby brother now?" Seiya asked blithely. I gaped, looking at Seokjin then at Misa and Yoongi. "Uncle was a little too honest," Misa said, scoldingly pinching Yoongi's arm. "All I said was it's good for his Mama and Papa to have their dates, if he wanted a sibling." Yoongi shrugged. I smiled fondly as Seiya looked up at us innocently. "Well, Mama and Papa haven't really talked about it, but I think it would be nice for our Seiya to enjoy being our only baby for longer." I glanced at Seokjin with a soft smile. While I would definitely want for Seiya to have a sibling or two, I wanted him to have us all to himself for a while, especially Seokjin, since they were still catching up. "But Seiya can be a good big brother now..." Seiya pouted. "I know, baby, Mama and Papa will talk about it. But just be our little one for now, okay?" I gathered him in my arms and kissed his face all over to make him laugh.

The memories played smoothly like a song I’ve played many times before even after 8 years of trying to break that record, here we are sitting face to face like we used to back on that very rooftop. Only, now his eyes are void of emotions. Unlike the warmth of comfort we once shared, we’re strangers again.

Genre/Category - angst, romance, enemies to lovers, enemies to lovers to enemies to lovers, exes to lover, rekindled romance, ceo!jaehyun, ceo!jaemin, mentions of mingyu, highschool to working
Content Warning - strong language, slightly implied 🔞 but nothing much, mentions of heartbreak

My first day of school finally ended, 2 things I’ve learned about today. 1, being the new girl kinda sucks and 2, the smoker dude is in my class. He didn’t even take a glance at me after the lunch time incident but I decided to brush it off my shoulders and continued with my day.
It was time for me to head home. The distance between my house and the school campus is quite far, probably a 20 minutes drive on the bus. Once I reached home, I found my mother working hard as usual. My little siblings, Boyeon and Soyeon came up to me and asked me about my first day. Honestly, I don’t know what else to say since nothing really happened besides the incident with that smoker dude. I answered with a smile and decided to help my mother with her newly opened restaurant.
The sun began to rise, and the alarm clock began to ring. As much as I hated the morning, I was forced out of bed and got ready for school. Entering the classroom quite early, one by one, it began to fill up as the time passed by.
“Good morning class! I hope you had a restful sleep last night.” said Mr. Moon
“Today we will- ” Mr. Moon was interrupted by the sound of the door and a person entered.
It’s the smoker dude. Does he really not follow the school’s rules. First, he smokes and now he’s late.  It’s time for lunch again… And I really have no place to go but the rooftop. Walking up the stairs hoping the smoker dude is not there. As I opened the door and took a stop on the concrete, there he was. Sitting at the same spot while he smokes away. “His lungs are really going to turn black before 20” I said to myself.
I learned my lesson and decided to stay a little further away from the smokes. I took my seat and I could feel him glancing in my direction. With no hesitation I began to eat my lunch. No conversation at all this time. Just me eating peacefully while the smoke from his cigarette drifted into the air by the wind.
The rooftop became my go to place for lunchtime. Although I kept seeing that smoker dude every single time I’m there. Today is my 5th time going up to the rooftop and to eat. As expected, he’s there again, smoking as usual. But he never ate? It’s lunch time for god sake. For lunch today, I had 2 triangle kimbap. Debating whether I should share or eat it myself. Do I really want to be associated with someone that does not even follow the rules? I asked myself. I took some slight glances at him. He’s staring far away into the distance as if there’s something longing for him. I finally took the courage and walked up to him.
“Here” I said while handing my kimbap. He looked at me with a confused face.
“What?” he blurted.
“Eat it, you’re going to get hungry.” I said
“No,” he answered shortly.
“Just eat it” I said once again
“Just mind your own business and eat it yourself” he replied.
“What, are you going to eat those cigarettes and expect to be full? Fine, whatever don’t eat, just wait till your lungs turn black before you turn 20 with an empty stomach.” I said.
He chuckled and surprisingly took the kimbap from my hands. “I didn’t expect you to keep coming here.” He said while unwrapping the kimbap.
“Well definitely not for you.” I replied He scoffed. Once he finally unwrapped the kimbap, he took a big bite and took a big pause.
“Good? Isn’t it? My mom made it.” He nodded and continued to munch down.
