Star Trek Discovery's last season should have the hinted romance with Owo and Detmer happen. Scrap whatever else they had planned for the show, let's do ten episodes on just this.
They can get adopted by Culber and Stamets into the gay space family which then becomes the focus of the next Trek spin-off.

Warnings: discussion of grief. Set in the latter part of Disco Season 3

A/N: Jola again, but kind of blue. And all the prompts today! I felt they fitted.

There is something very terrestrial about the forest, even if it’s a part of Earth that Joann isn’t all that familiar with. She recognises the oak trees. It looks like a cloudy day, soft light filtering through the leaves, casting blurry shadows on the ground.
She wanders aimlessly, enjoying all the different greens of the leaves, the smell of the trees, the sounds of the birds in the trees. She thinks they’re talking to each other, in little quiet peeps and longer songs that sound like conversations. Or arguments. A squirrel crosses the path in front of her and she pauses to watch it climb up into the canopy.
It is so peaceful.
She could almost believe it was real.
Eventually she starts seeing broken pieces of stonework. Ruins. As she carries on she reaches a building, covered in vines – a church, perhaps, or even an ancient fortress. The roof is long gone, not even stones remaining, and she walks out into an open area, where a pond reflects the cloudy sky.
Through an archway in the thick stone wall she sees Keyla. She sits on a bench, back straight, facing the trees, and Joann slows at the rare sight of her in stillness. The Keyla Joann thinks of is often in motion. It’s been jittery, unhappy motion of late, although she thinks she is finally beginning to find herself in this new time, but it’s rare to see her quite so still.
Joann is sure Keyla must have heard her approach, but she doesn’t move as Joann walks through the archway and sits on the bench beside her.
Neither of them say anything for a minute – or ten – Joann isn’t counting, just feeling Keyla next to her, watching the trees as they wave one way or another in the holographic breeze.
“Do you think they thought of us? After we—after we left?” Keyla asks, eventually.
“I hope so,” Joann says after a moment. “I think it would be the same for them as it is for us. We”—she steels herself, to say the word—”we died, and so did they. It hurts, and we have to live our lives, but we carry them with us. We... we won’t forget.”
She reaches out for Keyla, taking hold of her wrist. Fingers on that pulse point, feeling Keyla’s heartbeat, strong and steady. Joann finds the contact comforting, and Keyla shifts a little, leaning into her. Joann hopes she’s feeling comforted too.
“There’s a poem,” Joann says. “It’s a love poem... I—I remember the last line. It was written thousands of years ago, but… ‘Someone will remember us, I say, even in another time.’”
They sit in silence for some time more, watching as the clouds begin to part and blue appears above the trees. Keyla twists her hand, loosening Joann’s grip then taking hold of her hand, lacing their fingers.
“I told Tazzy, you know. That I was going to ask you out? I hope sometimes she remembers us. Together.”
