unpopular opinion: akechi isn't a bad character, you all just hate the people with "scary" mental illnesses

least favorite thing about them: i can't think of anything beyond the fact that his eng VA annoys me. that's how much i'm in love with this little rat man

favorite thing about them: he's such a fucking snake? like this man is on x games mode when it comes to his true agenda at all times. things just LINE UP to where they work out with the ADA for the most part, but he still has so many threads from his before life that he pulls whenever he needs to

least favorite thing about them: boiled down to either a part of a ship or teehee suicide joke by both canon and fanon ALL the time

favorite thing about them: i'm realizing i hate this question because there's never really just one thing. i love how he he tangents and how he loves to hear himself talk, and i love how he power trips without ever fully going to a place where he can't recover from a blunder

least favorite thing about them: his hairline... he's gonna be bald by 40

favorite line: listen... this isn't a direct quote from him but ABOUT him but it's my favorite thing that just explains him so well: “He may seem cold-blooded, but he is more human and his heart more brittle than anybody else’s, so much so that if you filled it with human love or betrayal, it would break easily, which is why, I think, he chose from the beginning to avoid it all, to love humanity, you understand? Not to accept, not to face it. To avoid it.”

nOTP: there's only very certain instances i will even look at shizaya because of the fandom. and fanon shizaya ain't it.

random headcanon: izaya collects different scents of cologne that he gets as gifts from ~ certain ~ clientele, and will use it when he wants to impress. his favorite scents are usually ones with high fruit tones but nothing too aggressive that the subtlety can't speak for itself

unpopular opinion: i think people in the fandom are incapable of seeing izaya as either this troll character with very little substance besides being a nuisance or being a cocksleeve for shizuo when he's actually an integral pivot for most everyone's character development in the series because of his meddling and the SEVERAL strings that he has to pull at any given time.

As I was playing Age of Calamity I had I thought about a Malice!Impa too, and to see that someone else thinks that would be some good story material as well is so cool! I was wondering if you could describe what your Malice!Impa looked like. Does she look like the hallows? Or does she normal, but with some differences? I'm hyped for your fic!

I actually don’t picture malice!Impa to look anything like the hollows — considering they’re entirely made up of malice, and her physical body was infected by it!

I’ve had several ideas so far but the main thing is, her infection is very, very obvious from the jump. but she otherwise looks fairly…normal. or, as normal as one could look while infected with malice. the biggest change is that you would be able to see the malice actually moving over and under her skin, especially in the neck, hands and arms, as well as her temples, leading to the eyes.

speaking of eyes, malice Impa’s are more or less pools - voids, really - of that blackish purple malice. in my wip, she is actually infected via her eyes. here’s a snippet (warning, mild eye horror ahead!):

The malice reaches the very corners of Impa’s eyes, bleeding into them like a poison. The pain is so horrific it momentarily blinds her. Impa rips herself away from Astor, away from his wretched hands, and falls back. He lets her, standing above her as she grips at her bloodied face, bowing over. Her eyes burn as if they were on fire; as if they are melting.

another feature: somewhere on her body, Impa has an “eye” like all malice figures that will lead to immediate death if struck. I imagine this is hidden somewhere on her back, maybe behind her neck or the middle of her spine. somewhere not easily reachable. I mentioned this in a previous post; she’d react very violently if struck near, so I didn’t want it to be somewhere easily noticeable or within immediate reach.

So I’ve recently finished Persona for the first time. I was gonna have Joker date Haru, but I was pressed for time so I skipped it. I then played around with Ryuji x Haru. But then I stumbled upon your fic. And I’m desperately searching the internet for Haru x Akechi. You’re doing so mighty work out there! (I’ll have to make some Akehu/Haru stuff myself too gosh darn it)

I know Akechi can be a pretty controversial figure. One of my closest friends finished the game and still absolutely hated him. My brother still doesn’t understand why I ship them lmao

I couldn’t really even tell you when I started shipping Akechi and Haru. I think it must’ve started (like most things I think) with some fan art I stumbled across. Which if you have not looked up any artwork, I really recommend especially a piece by @kaninn on twitter which inspired a fanfic I worked on a long time ago but never finished. I’m kinda hoping that with P5 Royal’s release I’ll be inspired to write more p5 fics again, because that’s my pattern - I write way more when the fandom is hyped.

What really appealed to me is just how much in common I feel like they have? They both are front and center and pretty famous high schoolers in the setting of p5, though they both hide so much pain by coming off as gentle/kinda quirky. I also feel like Akechi would be very interested because of 1) how he’s related to her father (idk spoilers??? Haha) and 2) how she finds the strength to carve her own path, while he is stuck as someone else’s puppet.

Also, absolutely take a look at “Wrath Of Beauty” and “gold wings trembling” in the Akechi/Haru tag because those are probably my favorites. And absolutely do let me know if you post anything! Tag my AO3 by all means! I check the tag pretty often anyway.

Also while I kinda go back and forth between the ships I think I love Ryuji/Ann a little more, so if you’re ever interested in that ship do let me know! 😂😂

Pss I was also super into Joker/Haru at first too haha. My Joker did end up romancing Haru!
