Been seeing a lot of "Kakampinks" (Leni Robredo supporters during the last Philippines election) saying "Tama nga kami" (we were right all along). This is a jab to those who voted for the current President and Vice President of the Philippines, who currently on bad relations with each other, pointing fingers about who is the incompetent one. Spoiler alert: it's both of them.
Anyways, being smug about the election choices that people make does NOT help with the greater cause and what are the real sides of this fight - the ruling class in power and the working class.
Raoul Manuel of the Kabataan Partylist and Member of the Philippine House of Representatives put it so well in the following tweet he posted:
Rough translation:
Friendly advice to allies for good governance:
It is not enough that we are right. We need to reach out to those who can become additional allies, including those who have doubts and are questioned about their decisions. Let's multiply and act together.
It is the strategy of the deceivers to label and consider as enemies those who do not share another's views. Let's be on guard not to be like them.
Potential allies will distance us if, consciously or not, we appear self-righteous or arrogant.
Fight!

00 POLITICS : Break Until May 10, 2022
This is something really important to me 😙
Taking a Genshin break in favor of the ending election season for my country (I'll still post shorts and brainrots but the pre-election anxiety is real!)
I've mentioned this a few times that I utilize all my socmed platforms when it comes to advocating social issues, Tumblr is no different (as much as I want to make it my happy place 🥲) this has to be the pinnacle of my digital advocacy life.
In a few days, the nation will be choosing between a dictator's son and an active woman leader. This doesn't seem like a hard choice at all, except, the tides are turned against us.
I am a Leni-Kiko supporter, and I also believe that several of the senators under their party are qualified leaders who believe in human rights and compassion.
So please, if you are a Filipino, if you have Filipino friends, or you know an eligible voter in the Philippines, take the time read through some of my upcoming posts! I'll make sure to make them short and entertaining without the anxiety politics gives :)
And if you're a foreigner, you're even more welcomed! Awareness is important!

Thinking about some of the awesome art we got from commissioning amazing Filipino artists!
Here's a piece by @inkyfishy25 on Twitter, of Mari in pink 😉 Right now we're trying to achieve 1k subs for youtube, so please subscribe to support our horror audio drama with a Filipina protagonist!
If we hit our goal BEFORE 2023 we'll be posting a bonus episode called "Remind Me To Tell You Later: Batibat".

"Naaalala Ko Pa" is a story revolving around a parent reflecting on their childhood under the Martial Law era and having a parent fighting against the then-administration.
Tackling the uncertainty and danger brought forth by that era and the notion of remembering the bravery of those who fought for the justice and freedom of the Filipino people.

I live in a city of red, dwell in a house of red, and cry for my friends of red.
But I have hope.
I have remained silent for too long in fear, but now is the time to use my voice.

01 tw: PH Politics
Me: I don't think I can ever get angry.
The guy with a 3rd grade reading comprehension level: women can't lead
Me: (╯‵□′)╯︵┻━┻
I'm kidding, I just smiled and tried to prove him wrong 😀
But let's not forget the misogyny and sexism we had to endure during the Du30 Administration, from his r4pe jokes on live TV to his blatant harassment of young women. Let's not endorse someone that openly looks up to him this elections, nor should we endorse someone who denies the police brutality and r4pe during martial law
(yes, I'm talking about his son, B/B/M. Let's not sugarcoat anymore. His denial invalidated the experience of dozens of women and it's heartbreaking how people continue to deny it, despite the many survivors seeking to be acknowledged)
This is the president of the country for archon's sake — have some class.
On another note, here's my senatorial bet on women's rights 😌💕 Honestly she's one of the only senators actively advocating for women and the LGBTQ, along with a few others like Diokno and Colmenares.
34 RISA HONTIVEROS
I actually had the privilege of meeting and discussing with her once during a high school field trip! It was an eye opener :')) she was so down to earth, such a girl boss and aahdjsjxjsg
So if you aren't sure of your senators yet, consider 34 Hontiveros!

Kakampink Mari art
Hey everyone! In case you missed it, here’s some brand new Hi Nay art Motzie commissioned from different “kakampink” artists this week.
Kakampink are supporters of Leni Robredo and Kiko Pangalinan, the most significant opposition against the children of dictators during this election.
Currently they’re working on creating the largest network of anti-poverty assistance throughout the entire country, Angat Buhay, which was originally Leni’s project as vice president.
Here’s a few lovely pieces of Kakampink Mari! To show solidarity. We’re definitely hoping to work with Angat Buhay in the future.
All the designs were inspired by the work of balikbatik, a group that supports local indigenous Filipino weavers by ensuring they’re paid premium prices for unique, handwoven works. You should definitely check em out!

by @wyarchives on Twitter!
There’s more art to come from other amazing artists, so stay tuned!

sa labang mahirap maipanolo
ngunit, titindig hanggang dulo
sisigaw hanggang maubos ang tinig
hindi mapapagod, manantili akong nakatindig
para sa kapwa, para sa bayan
para sa bansang nais kong ipaglaban
